Chapter Thirteen

Steve held on to the sobbing woman, the entire base so silent that her sobs echoed throughout the building. As her sobs begun to quiet down is when she felt the strangest vibration, if just faintly pulsing, coming from somewhere on Steve. Frowning in confusion, she pulls back and quickly starts touching every part of him, even pulling some straps away and opening pockets to try and find where that vibration was coming from. Finally Steve took hold of her searching hands in one and took her chin in the other to make sure she looked at him.

"What's going on? Why are you searching me?" Steve asked, making sure to speak slowly for her to read as she didn't have her hearing aids.

Trinity was about to say something when a very small flashing red light blinked on the inside of his shield, and did not belong there. Frowning with further confusion, Trinity reaches behind Steve and takes hold of the blinking device, showing everyone what she held in her hand. It was the same pulsing vibration that she felt earlier, only stronger this time as she held it in her hand, making her angry at exactly what it was.

"Ratchet, trace the signal and block it!" Trinity tells him, turning her body half way and holding the device up for him to scan.

Ratchet quickly scans the small device, making him frown. "It's coming from the SHIELD building." he said out loud, as well as vibrating it to Trinity.

"Son of a bitch!" Trinity muttered, dropping the device and smashing it with the butt of her weapon. "We need to change locations of the base, this is how the Decepticons found us! Someone get in contact with General Morshower on a restricted video, I need to get in touch with him fast! The rest of you start packing up whatever is salvageable! The Decepticons can come back any moment and we need to be out of here as quickly as possible! I want the sisters, Mirage, and Sideswipe on the lookout! I then want another team start gathering the dead, we'll give them a proper farewell when we get to the new base. Now move!" Steve stood and watched as the woman turned back to Mongo, and leaned over to kiss his forehead. "Forever will you be in our hearts, Mongo. And we'll take care of your baby brother and mom, I promise."

Steve moved forward to help her stand, seeing the anger shimmering behind the sadness in her misty gray eyes. He went to say something, anything really, but he couldn't help the anger he also felt about being tracked by SHIELD, especially when Fury already knew where the team was at. Instead, Steve merely hugged her tightly, kissing the top of her head, before going off to help whoever needed help, whether it was to pack something, move something, or even gathering up the dead. So long as he was working.

Stone, who watched the whole exchanged, saw just how angry the other man was at what was discovered, and knew that he partially blamed himself for having been placed with a tracker that he didn't know about. The other man couldn't fault the super soldier, let alone let him blame himself for something he had no control whatsoever, but knew that he wouldn't listen to a word from anyone just yet. He walked up to Trinity, hugging her when she turned to him, knowing that there were no words to say to her as he was just as devastated by the death of their good friend, their brother, and revenge was soon to come.

Trinity gave Stone a small smile before turning to her uncle, almost dismissing him. But the older man knew better and knew that her attitude right now is what was keeping her sane, as well as not break down than what she already did in front of the men. He gave a curt nod to the concern Phil before he, himself, turned away and to go help anyone that needed help packing at that moment. Anything to keep his mind off of his own anger and sadness for just a moment longer.

"You need to slow down, sweetheart." Phil signed, concern for his niece and praying that she won't go spiraling down like she did with her father. "Take a minute to yourself before going to speak with Morshower."

Trinity shook her head, knowing that Phil only called her sweetheart when he was really worried about her. "No, if I do I know that I won't come back from that darkness, and the men need someone strong right now as Will and Epps are somewhere in the desert at this moment."

Before Phil can say anything, an agent came running up to the two of them. "I have General Morshower on video call standing by, Agent Hart."

Phil signed to her what the man said, as he spoke too quickly for her to read his lips, and nodded. As they made their way to the walkway, both Sam and Carly giving Phil sympathetic looks, the older man nodding to let them know that he got his niece under control in the meantime. Up on the walkway, Trinity nodded to the waiting technician to connect her with Morshower, not wanting to wait one more second in reporting what had just happened. Once he came online, immediately the general started firing questions at her, wondering what had happened and how they were compromised. Everything that Phil had to translate to her.

"Trinity's hearing aids were destroyed, general, so you might need to ask questions slowly if you don't want me to know something." Phil explained.

Morshower shook his head, rubbing a hand tiredly down his face. "Not necessary, Agent Coulson, I trust you wholeheartedly." Phil gave the older man a curt nod of appreciation. "So what the hell happened?"

"We got ambushed by Decepticon's that had traced an unauthorized tracker that was placed on Captain America. Ratchet was able to trace it back to SHIELD, sir, but I have a feeling that it may be someone other than Fury, as he knew where the Avengers were going."

"Get me Fury on the line now." Morshower told a tech nearby him.

It took a few minutes, Trinity and Morshower speaking of finding a new base of operations, when Fury came online. He didn't look all that happy and anyone who was observant knew that something had happened, the question was what. The dark skinned, one eyed man muttered his greetings, before looking solely at Trinity.

"Your Autobot, Ratchet, sent word of a tracker from us on Captain America. We're doing everything on our end in finding out where the hell the trace was going and who had placed it on his shield." Fury tells them, before grimly saying softly, his one eye softening a bit. "I'm sorry for your loss, Agent Hart. I can promise both you and General Morshower that once I find the person that placed that unauthorized tracker is going to wish they had never crossed me!"

"I would like to take a crack at them, Director." Trinity tells him angrily, "Due to that person stupidity, my brother has died, along with many good agents today."

Fury gives her a curt nod. "Be my guest, Agent. We're on the Helicarrier, I'll send a Quinjet to the base once all your men and Autobots have been relocated."

"Negative, Director." everyone was startled to hear Optimus speak all of a sudden, Phil letting her know what was going on. "I want you to bring that person here so that I may have a word with them as well." he orders angrily.

Fury nods, although Optimus couldn't see it. "Agreed. I'll let Coulson know when we'll be arriving."

With that said the video feed of Fury cut out. Morshower nods at the strong woman before him. "I'll send word to Will and Epps of what's happened and of the new location, just take care of things there. Optimus, I'll send the new location to Ratchet."

"Thank you, General." Optimus sighs as the video feed cut off, Trinity telling the techs to pack everything before she turned to him. "They will pay, Trinity, you can count on that!" Trinity nods, Phil translating as the vibrations won't reach up to her on the walkway. "And Ratchet will have some new hearing aids once he helped the other's pack up."

"Thanks, Optimus. Come on, let's go see how everything is going."

Stone watched and waited impatiently as the unique flyer landed at the now semi-empty base, he and everyone else waiting to see who the hell had placed the tracker on Steve and had caused many deaths of their brother and sister in arms just hours before. Obviously, every agent wanted to stay behind and see the culprit and retaliate, but Trinity had told them that they needed to get the other base up and running quickly, so only a few had stayed behind. The sun was starting to sink over the horizon, but the beauty was pushed back at the angry silence that was hanging over everyone as they waited patiently to see the stupid agent for their mistake.

Stone both felt and saw the tension on Steve and Trinity when they saw three people walking from the back of the flyer. He had wondered which of the three people it was that had placed the tracker. As the group got closer, Stone and everyone else was somewhat surprised when Trinity suddenly charged forward with an angry cry. She had tackled the red headed woman, the two of them throwing fist and rolling around on the floor. Trinity was yelling angrily at the other woman, her words slowly making sense to the others that had to wondered and shocked to what was happening–especially since Trinity wasn't one to just randomly attack a person out of nowhere. Phil, Stone, and Steve suddenly rushed forward after a few stunned moments to stop the fight and separate the two women.

"You placed a tracker on Steve? What the hell is wrong with you?" Trinity demanded, her voice rising.

"We needed to know where you were taking him and the others in case we needed to get a hold of him right away!" Sharon yelled back.

Trinity frowned angrily. "You stupid bitch! You got my brother killed!" she yelled angrily, her tears falling down, struggling against Stone. "You got many of our agents killed! That's how the Decepticon's found us! All because you believe Steve actually belongs to you!"

Sharon's face turned red with mortification. "That's not the reason why I did it. I don't trust you!"

"The hell that's why! Fury already knew where Steve and the other Avengers were and how to get a hold of him!" Trinity yelled at her, "It was need to know!"

Sharon glared harder, "Listen here you disabled little bitch!"

Trinity didn't even let her continue–as well as Stone letting her go for such a comment–and punched the older woman. Yelling angrily, Sharon came at her, the both of them throwing punches and kicks once again until finally Steve pulled Trinity off and Phil throwing Sharon against two other agents that had come along with them. Director Fury and Agent Maria Hill stood quietly, not saying a word or even stopping Trinity from attacking Sharon. Ironhide, Bee, and Mirage were cheering 'Girl fight!' until being silenced by Optimus' glare, which he then turned towards the oblivious red headed woman.

Sharon frowned up at Steve, hurt. "Don't tell me you're taking her side?"

Steve glared at the woman. "By placing that unauthorized tracker on me, you endangered the safety of everyone, including Trinity. That's a mistake that cost several good NEST agents lives today!"

Sharon flinched, standing up and wiping the blood from her mouth. "I didn't see the harm in placing that tracker."

"Didn't see the harm?" Carly said in a low voice, glaring at the other woman. "How stupid are you? You have no idea what you are up against, let alone how these Decepticons work! This is why other agencies don't interfere until after they are read in so they know how the enemy works!"

"If it was not for the respect I have for your Director, I would deal with you myself." Optimus' voice boomed loudly, glaring down at the now paling woman. "But as I can physically see the anger in his very being, I will let him deal with you instead."

At that revelation, everyone turned to Fury, his one good eye glaring with such hatred at the red head woman that it made the others flinch with a bit of sympathy–however, not all that much as she deserved what she was about to get. "Believe me, Agent Carter will be dealt with on this matter!" he then looked back to Trinity. "Is there anything you need? Transportation, equipment, weapons, or even man power?"

Trinity shakes her head, "Thank you Director, but we'll be fine. If there is something that we need I'll make sure to tell Uncle Phil or General Morshower." Phil tapped her shoulder and pointed outside. Trinity saw the last two freighters that had just landed and was now making their way towards the empty warehouse. "All right, everyone gather what you need, Autobots keep a look out for Decepticons, our ride is here and we need to get going now."

As the other agents begin to do what they were told, Ratchet moves over to the woman and kneels. "Your new hearing aids, this time shock proof too." he tells her, sending out pulsing vibrations.

Trinity smiled as she looked to Ratchet's open hand. "Thanks Ratchet," she placed the hearing aids in, all the noise around her coming all at once, but the woman was used to it and was slowly able to bring the noise down so it wasn't so loud in her ears. "Let there be noise." she muttered, though she did sigh with relief that she was able to hear again. She then turned to Steve, Thor, Bruce, and Jane, "You are still welcome if you so wish to come or you may return with Fury."

"I think we will stay, finish what it is that we had started with you." Steve tells her, giving her a curt nod.

"And I want to continue to study their technology if they will let me." Jane tells her, smiling.

Trinity nods, looking to Fury. "Director?"

Fury gives her the briefest of shrugs one could give. "It's up to them, as I have said before they will be there if you need them as long as you do."

"Thank you Director." Trinity then turned to the group, "All right, let's get a move on. We now know that the Decepticons are after me, we just need to find out who is behind these attacks as Megatron is dead."

Fury, Maria, Sharon, and the two SHIELD agents watched as the alien robots and humans walk into the last freighter as the second one was already moving down the runway. Turning from the scene before him, Fury glared at his best agent knowing what had possessed her to do what she did, but it didn't give her the right to defy him in such a way behind his back. Sharon looked over to him and ducked her head in shame, as well as blanching at what was about to happen now.

"From this day forward, you Agent Carter will be on leave–" –"What?!" she cried out, eyes wide as she quickly looked up to the Director.–"–without pay or any type of connection to anyone at SHIELD! Understand?"

"Yes sir." Sharon muttered darkly.

Fury glared at the woman for a second. "A chopper will be waiting for you on the Helicarrier to return to New York." he turned to walk away with Maria and the other two agents before looking back at the woman. "And we will be watching your every move, Carter, for this was one mistake you won't be getting off easily!"

With that said he continued on, Sharon looking back at the group and glaring angrily before following behind. She couldn't understand what the deal was with the woman except that she was Coulson's niece. She was another agent, that was all, and Sharon was no different, being the granddaughter to Margaret 'Peggy' Carter, lover of the Steve 'Captain America' Rogers! And it should have been her turn, not someone else and especially not some disabled nobody! One way or another, Sharon was going to get Steve back and get rid of Coulson's niece whether it's the last thing that she'll do!

From the day her grandmother had told her stories about herself and Steve during the World War II and the war with Hydra there was just something about Steve. It was possibly then that Sharon could have fallen in love with Steve–or possibly the idea of him–and had compared him to every guy she had ever dated. Of course, Sharon had always told others that the reason she never settled was due to the fact of her job, just so that she was left alone about her love life. Yes, she will have Steve and he would forget all about Coulson's disabled niece when the time came for it.
