I don't have very much to say here honestly, not many questions so far from reviews, but know I'd be happy to answer any that you ask at the beginning of the chapter from now on.

Chapter 4: Small Town Troubles Part 1
The road was quiet this early in the morning, which wasn't necessarily a bad thing, seeing as the only two in sight were a pair of young teens. The first of the pair was a former Sound Ninja with a temper problem and foul mouth, her travelling companion was just as strange, a former Leaf Ninja that was usually loud and hyperactive who just so happened to also be the Jinchuriki of the Kyuubi. Despite their normal personalities, the two were uncharacteristically quiet this morning, seeing as one had just learned that she was no more than a failure and potential breeding machine to the man she had followed for as long as she could remember. The other was still somewhat bothered by the events he had been subjected to a week prior, though if he was honest with himself Naruto was used to the maltreatment he received from the villagers. More than anything however, the boy couldn't deny he was enjoying not wearing his normal mask of rambunctiousness, full of fake smiles and playacting. Despite this fleeting happiness he felt, the blonde was worried about his travelling companion, she hadn't spoken very much throughout the night while they were travelling, only saying anything when it was completely necessary to do so. After leaving the Oto base, the two had begun the long trek to the Land of Waves, knowing it would take nearly a month between their almost leisurely pace and having to hide from the patrols that plagued most roads. Her sudden and somewhat disconcerting quietness was causing his own mood to sour and, hoping to help, he finally decided to strike up a conversation with the red headed girl.
"So uh, Tayuya, how are you feeling? I mean after everything that happened in-" the blonde doubled over in pain as he was suddenly hit in the stomach by the kunoichi. "Don't talk about what happened outside of Oto alright shit head…I definitely appreciate you being there, but that was a moment of extreme weakness for me, so I don't need you getting any romanticized ideas about you and me." Finishing quite bluntly, the redhead looked over at the blonde. Even though her own feelings said otherwise, Tayuya didn't feel as though she could face the strange emotions that were currently warring within her, at least not rationally. Still, she felt bad for sounding so harsh.
Naruto simply looked at her, his smile was genuine and understanding. "It's alright Tayuya, I know you weren't yourself with everything that happened, so I'm not letting it go to my head heh." The redhead returned his gaze and huffed, turning the other way to hide her own smile and a small blush. 'How is he so damn mature all of a sudden, those fucking eyes aren't making it any easier either!'
After a moment, however, she turned back. "So, why did you come with me anyways? Since we're apparently going to be travelling together anyways, may as well get to know each other." Seeing Naruto appear to be thinking, she awaited his response.
"Yeah heh, I guess you're right about that. I came with you because, honestly, the village has always treated me like trash. After having 2 and a half years away from it the abuse hit me harder than usual, and I saw a way out. There's a little more to it than that though, and maybe I'll tell you soon." Seeing the redhead nod in agreement, Naruto once again smiled, finding it easier to do so around the former Oto nin.
The Fifth Hokage simply stared at Sakura, not believing her ears as the pinkette finished her report from the previous morning, despite wanting to speak with her the day before, Tsunade's schedule hadn't allowed her time to even see her student. "So you're telling me that Naruto Uzumaki, the same ninja that defeated a fully possessed Jinchuriki, was somehow kidnapped with no signs of struggle?" Lacing her fingers together, Tsunade leaned forward.
"Yes Tsunade-sama, that's the only conclusion I could come to, considering Naruto-Kun would never leave the village of his own free will." Looking at her sensei, Sakura continued "I want your permission to go after him sensei, we need to bring Naruto back."
Tsunade thought about the proposition, quickly building a true operation out of her student's simple one. "Fine, I will allow you to go after Naruto. However, I will be building a team to follow you once they are available, so remember to leave a trail for them to track." Knowing her student had better sensory and tracking skills than most Chunin thanks to training under Kakashi as well during the last three years, Tsunade was confident her student would find Naruto.
After a short discussion on the type of trail to be left, Tsunade dismissed the pinkette. Sitting down to think about the situation at hand, the Hokage didn't notice the man who was now lounging in her windowsill until he made himself known.
"Hello there Hime, worried about our little blonde idiot I see." Jiraiya chuckled slightly, stepping down and into the room before looking over at the slug princess.
"What do you know Jiraiya, I am not in the mood for your messing around, especially with Naruto suddenly missing." Looking quite serious, Tsunade applied enough force to her desk to cause an audible crack in the reinforced wood.
Sighing somewhat dramatically, Jiraiya looked over at his former teammate. "I guess I can tell you what I saw." The Toad Sage simply laughed at his fellow sanins death glare. "I saw Naruto at the hot springs yesterday, between here and the Land of Rice Paddies, however he wasn't alone." Seeing Tsunade nod, Jiraiya smirked slightly "However, he was there of his own will."
This surprised the Hokage, hearing her fellow sanin say something like that with such surety. "Who was he with exactly Jiraiya?" Instead of answering, the Toad Sage instead took out an older copy of the Bingo Book and showed her a picture. What was shown was an Oto kunoichi with red hair and chocolate eyes, glaring menacingly at whoever it was that had taken the picture. Jumping up suddenly, Tsunade looked at Jiraiya as though he was insane.
"That's an enemy ninja, and worse one of Orochimaru's lackeys! How could you let Naruto leave your sight with someone like that?!" Completely outraged, she was about to strike the old pervert. However, before she could he produced another picture, this one taken personally by him. Handing it to her he walked over and stole some of her personal stash of Sake, having been wanting a drink since after taking the picture.
"Jiraiya why are you handing me a picture of Kushina and Mina…oh…" Realizing her mistake after closer inspection, Tsunade looked at her picture of the boy she had come to think of as a Grandson embracing the enemy ninja she was worried about. The look in their eyes spoke of deep emotions that were just forming.
"I followed them after realizing who she was, but as of this morning it looks like our old teammate had plans to either leave her to die if she failed, or use her to breed with the Uchiha so he would have more vessels in the future." Seeing the utter shock on Tsunade's face, he could only offer a sad smile. "They really do look alike though." His smile turned into a hard frown after another moment "I wasn't there for my last student like I should have been at the end, and it forced a child to grow up as an orphan. This time, if anyone tries to get in the way of his happiness, I won't be so careless."
Of course Tsunade already knew this, Jiraiya cared more for that boy than he did for Konoha, after all it was his godson. Looking up she sighed and nodded "I'll try to work with the council and see what can be done, however in the meantime we still have to try to bring Naruto back. Otherwise he'll be labeled a missing ninja officially, and the bounty won't be a small one considering he's a Jinchuriki."
The Toad Sage, seemingly satisfied with the answer for the moment, nodded in agreement. "Alright, but don't let your ninja go without telling them it's a capture only mission, the last thing we need is some kunai happy idiot hurting the girl." Neither needed to state the obvious, both knowing that with a weakened seal Naruto could very easily be taken over by the tailed beast inside him if the right conditions were met.
Tayuya looked around as the two entered the small village, despite it being midday the weather had remained fair. The village itself was lucky, springing up in just the right place to gain commerce coming from several nations, as well as being a popular stop for young ninja on missions. Despite this it had remained humble, with the shops and hotels being centralized so as to cut down on the impact tourists would have on the local populace. The red haired ninja noticed the streets were thriving, as individuals went from place to place, also noticing the overall festive mood.
"Hey shithead, looks like they might be setting up for a festival." Looking back at her travelling companion, she saw the blonde was grinning a bit.
"Yeah heh, it's a pretty big deal around here. It's a week-long festival, so I figured we could stay and relax a bit." He watched as her expression went from surprised to thoughtful, contemplating his current proposal.
"Fine shithead, but if we're going to be staying here even for a few days, we need to hide our chakra and set precautions. We're both likely wanted ninja by now, so we can't be careless." She was already concealing her chakra for the most part, but her blonde companion on the other hand had chakra that was like a fucking beacon, so she knew she would have to teach him to control that chakra. "Anyways, let's find a hotel for now, then we can check out this festival that you seem so hyped about." Tayuya smiled slightly though 'I've never been to a festival before, Orochimaru wasn't really big on letting us have free time.'
The blonde simply smiled and nodded his head in agreement, before walking with her to find a suitable hotel for their stay in the village.
After finding a hotel rather quickly due to the week's festivities, the two teens proceeded up to their room. Upon opening the door, Naruto saw a blur of red as it ran and plopped down onto the bed. "Oh thank fuck, this bed is so damn comfortable compared to sleeping on the shitty ground." Grinning over at the blonde, Tayuya heard him chuckle and her grin turned to an only half playful glare. "What the fuck is so funny shithead?"
"Heh it's just you looked so cute for a moment there, that's all." The blonde grinned at his now roommate before he was suddenly hit with a shoe by the same girl. "Hey what was that for?" Pouting slightly, he looked over at Tayuya.
"What the hell do you mean I was cute for a moment?" The redhead was giving the blonde a pissed off look, before her mind suddenly gave her a wicked idea. The pissed off look slowly became a sultry pout and she drew her legs up onto the bed, striking a somewhat provocative pose, even making her eyes water slightly. "Am I really that ugly to you Naruto-kun?" Creating a slight whimper in her voice, Tayuya was surprised with how convincing she was able to be.
Naruto for his part was extremely flustered, suddenly seeing a side to the redhead he never thought he would. "I-I didn't mean it like that Tayu-chan, you're one of the most beautiful girls I've ever seen." The blonde's face became extremely red at this, and in staring at the ground he missed Tayuya's own blush.
Tayuya wasn't done yet though, she was embarrassed by the admission sure, but wanted to pick on the blonde further. Continuing with the act, she let one sleeve of her somewhat loose shirt slip slowly off her shoulder. "What makes me so beautiful then Naruto-kun?"
Naruto gulped slightly, the moment he looked up Tayuya's shirt slipped off her shoulder, revealing the luscious pale skin that was underneath. "W-well your hair is captivating, and your just..I don't know..there's something about you that makes me feel different whenever I look at you. Also I know you're really brash and you like to curse but..you care about me, you actually show concern, and you can see through a mask good enough to fool my closest friends.."
Watching her friend, Tayuya couldn't help feeling guilty for forcing him to recount what seemed like a dark time in his life. Getting up slowly and fixing her shirt, Tayuya walked over to the blonde and hugged him before slapping him lightly. "I was playing around you fucking idiot…but thank you for telling me that, it was nice to hear that someone thinks I'm pretty." The former Oto kunoichi smiled while also blushing, managing to make Naruto smile as well."
"You're really mean; you know that Tayuya?" The look she gave him was a resounding duh, but Naruto continued to smile nonetheless. After ending the embrace and looking through their supplies, the teens decided it would be a good time to get Tayuya some new clothes, seeing as the only ones she currently owned were the ones from Oto which were more identifiable than either would like. Heading back out onto the streets, Tayuya quickly located a store that seemed as though it would be to her tastes and, dragging Naruto inside, she began looking through the large assortment of clothing.
Naruto on the other hand, simply walked along the aisles with her, allowing the redhead to use him to pile up clothes she found interesting. He couldn't really complain though, seeing her happy somehow made him feel happier as well.
After she went through the store, Tayuya ended up with several new outfits. Once she paid for all the clothing, the redhead decided to wear one of them out. Going to the changing rooms, she quickly sealed up all but one and proceeded to change quickly, excited despite herself about the festival. Walking out after a moment, Tayuya looked over to Naruto as she stretched in the new outfit. Deciding a change of color would be nice, Tayuya had swapped her tan uniform for a purple short sleeved top, though the hem stopped just above her waistline to show a slight amount of the midsection, as well as the bottom edge of her belly button. Besides this, the former Oto nin had decided to swap out her boy shorts for a pair of black capris, and had even gotten a dark orange vest since she figured it might appeal to a certain blonde idiot's tastes.
Naruto looked at the redhead, or rather found that he couldn't stop looking at her. Despite the fact that her new outfit was actually less revealing than the previous one, the blonde couldn't help feeling that it somehow suited her much better. 'Besides, she really makes orange look good..' His mind wandering slightly, Naruto only noticed after another few moments that his friend seemed to actually enjoy his gaze on her, though she still hit him upside the head when he just kept looking.
"Come on dumbass, pick your jaw up off the floor and let's go check out this festival." Tayuya wasn't doing very well at hiding her excitement, then again she didn't really give a fuck about hiding it. Leaving the store, the two went several streets over where the festivities were just beginning to kick off.
Going from booth to booth, they made a point to see each and every one, because of this they hadn't even made it through a quarter of the booths by the time midnight rolled around. While they may not have made much progress, the two found they were having a lot of fun looking at the strange toys and wares as well as trying many different festive games that booths would host. Naruto laughed several times when Tayuya would get pissed off at these games, resulting in several bruises between his core and sides, though that didn't stop the blonde from enjoying himself and even winning her a few small prizes.
A little after midnight, the ninja decided it would be a good idea to call it a night, not wanting to be out when the drunks left their bars and brothels. Heading back to the hotel, they weren't really surprised to see the festive mood had leaked out into the rest of the village, granting it an energy all its own as locals and tourists celebrated together.
Once back in their room and away from that energy however, they both felt instantly much more tired and, deciding mutually to wait until the morning to shower, the two prepared for bed. As he was about to lay down however, Naruto was surprised when he felt something slightly wet press against his cheek momentarily, then it was gone just as suddenly. Looking over, the blonde saw Tayuya walking towards her bed, though he couldn't see the light blush across her face as she laid down. "Good night shithead…and thanks for the fun night tonight."
A small and genuine smile found its way onto his face as Naruto laid down.
Sakura couldn't believe it, after tracking them for nearly a week, she had lost the trail. Between the freak rainstorm that had hit the Land of Rice Paddies and the fact that Naruto had some sort of a dampener placed on his chakra, the pinkette was having an extremely difficult time picking the trail back up. Leaving another marking, she continued on her current trail, hoping that her teammate and whoever had kidnapped him hadn't left the main road where she lost the trail in the first place.
'Why did Naruto-baka have to get kidnapped now, we could have gone to get Sasuke-kun together! I'm sure once I rescue him, he'll help me anyways but still, every day that passes is another I have to spend without him..' Sakura mentally sighed, wishing once again that Naruto had been the one to leave instead of Sasuke, especially since she was sure her soulmate wouldn't have had any troubles bringing the weak Uzumaki back. Heck, she probably could have brought him back even before training with the current Hokage.
With these thoughts racing through her mind, Sakura once again began tracking the blonde's trail to the best of her ability, though she was sure it would take a few more days to find him at this pace.
Tayuya awoke to a dull pain in both her legs and, remembering all the walking around she had done, was somewhat glad it was only a dull pain instead of the searing pains she experienced the first few months after her legs were repaired by Kabuto. Sitting up slowly, the redhead heard the shower and saw that her blonde roommate had already woken up and proceeded to take a shower. Getting up fully after another minute, Tayuya went over and banged on the door, yelling so as to be heard over the bathroom fan and the shower itself. "Hey dipshit, don't hog all the hot water or I'll beat your ass damnit!" Despite the cursing, Tayuya's tone was fairly light due to having had the most enjoyable night of her life, as well as the most carefree.
Naruto was enjoying his warm shower, his thoughts were mostly about his friends in Konoha, though most didn't know the real him, they had still been good comrades to the blonde. Through them, he had actually learned a lot back in the days before his training trip with Jiraiya. His thoughts were interrupted however when his newest friend began banging on the door and threatening him. Sighing a little, Naruto quickly finished his shower before drying off and placing the towel around his waist. Not bothering to turn the water off so it would remain warm, he opened the door just as Tayuya was about to knock once again.
Said redhead instead got an eyeful of his naked torso, and despite herself, Tayuya's eyes drank in every inch of the blondes amazing body. Starting at his chest and letting her eyes wander down, the redhead noted that he didn't have very much if any fat, and his abs were fairly prominent. After staring for a minute however, she began to notice the finer details, including several semi prominent scars and one that looked like it was once a grave injury to his lung. Reaching out slowly and without thinking, Tayuya began tracing her fingers slowly over his body and the scarring.
"Um Tayuya, what are you doing?" Naruto asked, his breath hitching slightly as the girl traced his body and the small network of scars that had remained despite the Kyuubi's influence.
Tayuya simply looked at him as her fingers stopped on his abs. "What, you saw me naked the other day, so now I get to see this, seems fair to me." With a slight smirk, she slipped past him and into the bathroom before closing the door, leaving Naruto slightly confused and more aroused from her touch than he would like to admit.
Quickly stripping and stepping into the shower, Tayuya was somewhat surprised at how bold she was when it came to touching the idiots body, as though she had known him for years instead of only days. Placing her hair under the water, the redhead began meticulously washing it, despite the fact that she normally didn't care very much for her hair, Tayuya found that since the night before she wanted to take better care of it overall. Letting the warm water flow over her body, the redhead sighed as she relaxed slowly, enjoying the feeling of hot water on her body for the first time in years. Sure they had showers in Oto, but the snake pedo always believed in Spartan living arrangements, which meant of course that there was never any hot water.
'I wonder if this is something I could have all the time while I'm travelling with shithead..I have to admit it would be nice.' Tayuya growled slightly however, thinking of having to spend so much time with the blonde knucklehead sitting in the other room. 'Damnit, he's the one making me soft in the first place!' Suddenly feeling extremely ticked off, the former Oto kunoichi decided to give the blonde a piece of her mind once she got done with her shower, after all she had to vent all these crazy emotions somehow.
Stepping out of the shower several minutes later, toweling off before slowly drying her hair, taking the time to carefully comb through it. After all, she wanted to keep her hair nice for Naruto-ku…Mentally screaming, the redhead just became angrier, realizing just how much this boy was already affecting her, and worrying about how much he would affect her throughout their time together.
Deciding with finality that she wasn't going to allow the blonde shithead to continue affecting her as he had done so far, Tayuya dressed and walked back into the living room of her apartment preparing to put a mental between herself and Naruto. As soon as she walked back into the hotel's main room however, the redhead's resolve nearly melted right then and there.
Sitting on the couch was Naruto, still shirtless from his shower apparently, his head leaned back slightly and eyes closed as he napped lightly while a few rays of sunshine came in through the window, landing on the side of his face and his torso, accentuating the musculature that was obviously the result of years of shinobi training. As she watched the blonde sleep, Tayuya could feel her face heating up slowly, then quickly shook her head. 'Goddammit why does he have to look so fucking innocent?! This makes it so much more difficult!'
"Hey shithead, wake your ass up! Let's get going before the days over." The redhead walked over and pushed the blonde over, causing him to jump and come completely awake all in one motion.
"Huh, what? Oh hey Tayuya, sorry I fell asleep heh." The blonde smiled as he looked over at Tayuya, then noticed the semi cold look he was receiving. "Um..is everything alright?"
"Yeah shithead, everything is just fucking dandy, now let's go before we spend the entire damn lounging around ok." The redhead huffed before putting on her sandals, looking over as she watched the blonde put on his black shirt before noticing the crestfallen expression on his face. 'Damnit how am I supposed to keep my distance from him when he looks like that?!' Tayuya was mentally fuming, but also slightly worried for her travelling companion.
Naruto meanwhile was trying to figure out what he had done wrong, just when things seemed to be going so well Tayuya all of a sudden was acting cold towards him once again. The blonde turned towards her after he had finished getting ready, wondering why she was acting so differently all of a sudden. "Well..I guess let's get going then Tayuya.."
The tone of his voice almost completely broke Tayuya's resolve, how was she supposed to stay mad at the blonde when all she wanted to do was comfort him and make things right again. Sighing mentally, the redhead left their hotel room with the blonde, walking back towards the festival as both teens were lost in thought about similar things. As they reached the festival though, the two could already feel the festive mood in the air, and it was infectious as they both felt their moods brightening.
The Godaime Hokage looked at the team standing before her, a coalition of sorts with a singular mission. "Alright you four, your mission is to find and bring back one Uzumaki Naruto. According to my sources, he is currently travelling with a kunoichi, though not much is known about her. She is not to be harmed however, as that would only worsen the current situation." Receiving a curt nod from the team, Tsunade once again looked them over.
Neji Hyuuga, the prodigy of his clan and an accomplished Jonin in his own right was first. Next to him was Ino Yamanaka, a genius in her own right when it came to subterfuge and the use of her family's interrogation techniques. Standing beside the Yamanaka was the final member of the three-man team and the one she had placed in charge, one Shikimaru Nara, a genius only held back by his chronic laziness.
"Last thing, you are to meet with Sakura Haruno and see what information she has for you on the current situation. Dismissed!" As the three ninja left quickly, Tsunade collapsed into her chair and contemplated taking some of the sake from her stash, but for once she decided against it.
'You'd better come back safe Naruto..' Looking once again at the picture that Jiraiya had given her the day before, the Godaime Hokage was reminded once again of the similarities, and it was at this point that she grabbed the sake from underneath her desk. 'This is going to be a long week..'
Tayuya couldn't help herself, after several hours of being at the festival she was just having fun, though she made sure to keep herself in check when it came to Naruto. This didn't go unnoticed by the blonde however, and even though he was having fun, there was a dark corner of the blonde's mind that couldn't help but wonder if it was somehow his fault. Naruto was brought out of his thoughts by a long string of cursing, looking over at one of the booths he saw the redhead that was causing such a turmoil in his mind cursing loudly as she tried to catch a fish with a small paper catcher.
Walking over, he kneeled beside her, noticing that with each failure she continued to eye a medium sized fox plush that sat just behind the man running the booth. Naruto smiled slightly, paying for a chance and easily capturing a fish with the fragile tool, having mastered the technique during the last festival he had attended with the Pervy sage during their search for Tsunade.
'Gah, this fucker just won in one try, I've tried ten times already!' Tayuya was about to give the blonde a piece of her mind when she was presented with the very fox plush that she had been eyeing after each and every one of her tries.
"Wait is that for me..?" She could feel the blush coming to her face as he nodded, and she slowly took the stuffed animal and held it softly to her chest. "Thanks shithead, I really like it"
Smiling a bit now, Naruto looked over at the girl now holding the plush against her chest, and he couldn't help but notice how cute she looked in that moment. "No problem Tayuya heh." His mood suddenly brightening, the blonde continued to the next booth with her, enjoying the rest of the night as the negative thoughts were all but nonexistent.
Tayuya on the other hand, despite having an amazing time with the blonde teen, was experiencing emotional turmoil of her own. As the two began the walk back to their hotel, she suddenly decided to tell him, and with that thought came a kind of peace of mind. As they reached their room the silence was somewhat awkward, and the redhead sat on her bed and looked at her travelling companion.
"Hey shithead, can I tell you something? It's really personal but I think it's something you should know." As she spoke Tayuya found herself gripping the plush even more tightly, her nerves getting the better of her already.
"Sure thing Tayuya, what's up?" The blonde was now looking at her curiously, she could tell he knew something was up by the way he looked between her and the plush.
"Listen shithead, I know I've been acting distant and all today, but I can't really fucking help it." Taking a deep breath Tayuya began.
"I was born and raised in a small village near the border of Iwa, it was a mostly civilian village with the only ninja being used as the villages guards. My mother was the one of the village merchants, and my father was one of those guards, the first six years of my life the only thing I had to be scared of were bandits and imaginary monsters, then a few weeks after my sixth birthday, he came. Orochimaru and his lackeys entered the village disguised as simple travelers, and since our most powerful ninja was barely a Chunin, no one knew any better. After a few days of hanging around, he had apparently found what he was looking for, and that night he ransacked the village. My dad died almost immediately, and I had to watch from the closet while Orochimaru's ninja raped and killed my mother, then somehow one of them heard me..I was dragged out and they were about to start with me as well, when the snake bastard himself showed up and killed all of them. Apparently I was what he was after, having decided that I showed some sort of promise as a ninja myself. From there he gave me an option..either come with him and gain the power to kill anyone who wanted to harm me, or live out the rest of my life as a scared little girl who was at the mercy of anyone more powerful..- Tayuya looked up at the blonde, the tears in her eyes speaking volumes of how much ripping off the old scabs that were her early memories was hurting her, however she continued after he sat on the bed beside her, she couldn't stop now that that wound was reopened, even if she had wanted to.
"From there I followed him to Oto, where he gave me one of the first iterations of his curse mark, and I began training under his supervision. I wasn't the only one of course, you remember the rest of my team? Well we were all trained together from the beginning, learning to control the curse marks' power and being taught certain specialties based on what our natural talents were. After a couple of years spent training day after day, we got our first mission as the Sound Five, and we succeeded easily, which only led to more missions and a lot more killing. Eventually, Orochimaru gave each of us our titles, we were the elite guard, the squad with the highest kill count by far, and one of very few groups who hadn't succumbed to the curse mark..those that did had it the worst, they would be mutated from the chakra of the seal, and their minds would be completely destroyed by that same chakra. I killed enough of them during the first couple of years to know that they didn't care what you did to them, if they could move they were going to keep trying to kill you. After that we were trained to use the curse mark sealing jutsu, and we were all given stage 2, the form your team saw towards the end of our battles. So we ended up taking Sasuke, and wouldn't you fucking know it, the entirety of Orochimaru's elite guard was wiped out by a couple of Genin and one Chunin..ironic right? We trained from the time we were 6, and we had the power of curse mark stage 2, but all 5 of us were completely defeated by kids who barely knew anything about real combat." Tayuya couldn't help but laugh a little at that, still finding it hard to believe that her team had been so utterly destroyed.
"Anyways, after I had half a fucking forest dropped on me by that Suna bitch, I was recovered by one of the snake's normal units who had been sent to check for survivors. From there it was 2 and a half years of experimentation and rehabilitation, most of which I'd rather not have to remember at the moment. After I was finally able to walk though, they immediately gave me a mission. Assassinate a leaf ninja who had just returned to his village, and wouldn't you know I fucked that up too. Now here I am pouring my heart out to the same shithead I should have killed 2 weeks ago.." Finally allowing herself to be held by the blonde ninja, Tayuya realized she was both extremely tired and feeling better than she had since…fuck she couldn't remember the last time she felt this good. The only thing she couldn't bring herself to mention had been the invasion of Konoha, figuring that was a revelation for another day.
Looking up at the blonde ninja, Tayuya could see that he was nearly as exhausted as her. Deciding that his history would be better left for another day, she slowly pulled away. "Alright shithead enough of that for tonight, let's get some sleep so we can enjoy tomorrow." Receiving a small nod from the Uzumaki, Tayuya laid on her bed as he plopped down onto his.
Both teens fell asleep rather quickly, though neither slept very deeply out of habit, neither could have known of the storm that was approaching both literally and metaphorically.
Alright there you have it, chapter 4 is now up. As some of the original readers may notice, I turned what was originally a 2 paragraph side note into what will be 2 of the longest chapters so far. I've also decided to deviate a lot from my original story, so I won't be held back by the constraints of previous storyline like I was the first 3 chapters.
