CHAPTER 53 ~ Revelations

I DO NOT OWN THE VAMPIRE DIARIES

Maddie was dreading this whole day. From the moment she woke up on Wednesday she just wanted to roll over and go right back to sleep. The first thing that irritated her, was the fact that it was four thirty a.m. She had a mandatory early morning practice that she had to attend. Their team would be playing in a championship game later in the afternoon so they were having another early morning practice.

Rushing out of bed, she got dressed into a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, grabbing her Varsity Lacrosse jacket before she left. Hurrying out the door, she went straight to the field. Her stuff was already in the trunk of her car, not including her backpack. After the practice she was going to go back home and shower before school. She knew that it would be a slightly rough practice and there was a huge chance that she would end up looking messy. And by messy she meant really messy, with dirt stains everywhere. Even though she would only be in school for two or three classes, she wanted to look somewhat presentable. And she wasn't trying to wear her uniform until she would actually need it.

Getting to practice, besides the coaches, she was the first one there. As she was getting out of her car, Hanna pulled up next to her. She gave her a small smile as she went and got her lacrosse bag and stick.

"Ready for this?" Hanna wondered, stepping out of her own vehicle.

"Ready for this to be over." Maddie responded.

"You and me both."

Their morning practice was over by six thirty. Some of the girls were just going to stay and shower in the school gyms. Others were going home. Maddie headed to her car, pulling out of the lot and heading to her house. Her parents in the kitchen drinking coffee.

"What are you doing here?" Her mom wondered, curiously.

"I wanted to shower before school," she said, gesturing to her dirty clothes. "What are you both doing up?"

"We're going to your game," her mom said.

"Don't you have work?"

"I'm off today," her dad responded.

"And you?" She asked looking at her mom.

"Not going today," her mom said, turning to face the stove. "Do you want breakfast?"

She shook her head, "No thanks." She turned around, "I'll be in the shower."

She headed straight to the shower when she got upstairs. Rushing to her bedroom afterwards she quickly got dressed for the day. She quickly changed into one of her lacrosse long sleeve t-shirts, it was black and had the Timberwolves logo on it and lacrosse across, her Nike workout leggings and sneakers. She combed through her damn hair quickly, leaving it out before leaving her bedroom. She heard her sister moving around in her bedroom and yelled a goodbye to her and then her parents before leaving.

On the way to school she decided to detour to Starbucks. Being late to Ric's class was something she didn't care about. It was that time of the year where seniors were barley even showing up. Senioritis having kicked in. As she pulled into a parking space, she reached over to get her wallet from her backpack. Her mouth slightly opened. She had left it at home. She hadn't put it in her car earlier and after her shower and getting dressed she had practically ran out of the house.

She was happy when she saw her wallet. She had taken it out earlier because it had her drivers license. Reaching for her phone which was next to it she decided to text her sister.

Maddie – Left my backpack at home. I doubt I'll really need it for today since we're leaving early but can you bring it to me?

Cordelia – Sure. Where are you?

Maddie – At Starbucks, then going to school.

Cordelia – Get me an expresso shot and a grande iced caramel macchiato. Please.

Maddie – No problem.

Cordelia – Thanks. Text me when you get to school.

She got out of the car, taking her keys, phone and wallet with her inside. There were only two people online ahead of her and it didn't take her long to order. When she got the drink, she adjusted them in the cardboard drink carrier before taking them back to her car. She made sure to slip her wallet and phone into her sports bag that in her backseat so she wouldn't forget it later in the mist of carrying too much stuff.

The minute she got to school she found the closest parking spot available. After that she got out of her car and grabbed her sports bag, adjusting it on her shoulder. She then grabbed her lacrosse stick, before getting the carrier. Knowing she had everything she shut the door heading inside.

Thankfully, a security guard saw her and opened the door for her, "Thank you."

"No problem," Alyse, the security guard answered. "Your sister is here with your backpack."

She smiled, "Do you know where she is?"

She shook her head, "She walked that way," she nodded her head straight ahead.

"Thank you."

She began making her way forward. As she walked she looked around for her sister. She stopped short seeing the back of her head, "Cord!"

Cordelia turned around, "I've been texting you."

"Phone is inside of my bag, sorry."

"No worries. I just got here anyways."

Cordelia walked over to Maddie, standing in front of her. "You want me to take something?"

"Nah, I got it."

"Well I will walk you to your class then."

She moved to walk along side her sister. The two of them traveled through the school building, and up the stairs to Alaric's classroom. Cordelia opened up the door first, walking in and then holding it open for her sister. The sisters who had smiles on each of their faces from talking quickly dropped them as they looked around the room.

Ric was standing behind his desk, Matt and Caroline were in their assigned seats, off to the sides were Damon and Stefan, and against the wall in the back of the room were Elijah, Rebekah, Klaus and Kol. She also noticed Bonnie by Caroline and Matt, which she found odd. She didn't have class with them first period.

Kol. Fuck, Maddie thought. She still hadn't told Elijah that Kol was alive. She bet he definitely knew now. Her eyes connected with Elijah's and they stayed connected for at least thirty seconds before she looked away. She was still upset with him and he knew it. She knew that he wasn't really all that happy with her either but she didn't care.

"What are you doing here?" Ric asked, looking at Maddie.

She raised an eyebrow at him, "Coming to class." Cordelia snorted at her sister's sarcasm. "Where is everyone?"

"I sent them to the library to work on the next paper," he responded easily.

"Right." She turned to look at her sister. "Let's go hangout in Craig's office."

"Sounds like a plan," Cordelia noted. From the way she was looking Maddie could tell that Cordelia wanted to leave the room as much as she did.

"What's the matter lovely Maddison, don't want to stay and hangout with us?" Kol wondered.

"Why are you here?" Cordelia asked him.

"Well, now that everyone realizes what a mistake it was to raise Silas, I have come to gloat."

She raised an eyebrow, "Really?"

"I heard they were meeting to speak about the cure and Elena, you know now that she has turned off her humanity." Maddie and Cordelia looked at one another. They hadn't known that. "I came to be nosy."

"Right. That I believe."

"And I thought it was time for a family reunion."

"You knew he was alive," Rebekah said accusingly, looking between Maddie and Cordelia, more so Maddie. "And you said nothing."

Cordelia not liking the way Rebekah was talking to her sister noted, "And why would she mention it to you? You didn't even care that he was dead."

"She makes a wonderful point," Kol noted, turning to glare at Rebekah.

"You might want to stop by the office first," Ric said, ignoring everything else. He sympathized with her wanting to leave.

"Why?"

"Because you're quite popular today," Damon spoke up. "Office has called for you, kids have been running in and out for you."

Maddie set down the cardboard holder on the desk that was in front of her. Grabbing a straw she inserted it in her drink, "Why?" She asked before taking a small sip. "What do they want?"

Damon opened his mouth to answer but all heads turned when the door opened. In came, Taylor George. Her eyes straight on Maddie, "Oh you are here."

Maddie shrugged, "Yeah. Why, what do you need?"

"They're announcing top fifteen today," she said. Maddie internally rolled her eyes. Taylor wasn't on the top fifteen list. "And maybe senior superlatives." Ah, that was why she wanted her to be around. "But they were only going to do it if everyone in it was here."

She rolled her eyes. She could care less about top fifteen, "Right."

"Do you know your number is? Everyone is trying to figure it out."

"Tell everyone I'm not on the list for top fifteen."

Shock came over her face, "You aren't?"

"No."

"Oh," confusion came over her face, "I thought you were. Everyone was saying it."

"I failed."

"At what?"

"Life." She didn't miss the snorts that came around in the room. She kept her eyes on Taylor though. Taylor just looked shocked, and then she eventually left. She felt Cordelia hit her shoulder, "What?"

"Really life?"

"I don't know what number I am Cordelia," she said. "And you know I don't care about it, especially not today."

This game was a huge deal. If they did win they would get a trophy for the school, a banner and some other things. They would be playing at Whitmore college and a whole bunch of people would be there.

Cordelia nodded, "Let's go hangout with Craig."

Maddie nodded, ready to pick up and move when a voice came over the loudspeaker, "Attention students, we are requesting that everyone stay in their classrooms until an announcement is given otherwise. Thank you."

"Guess you two aren't going anywhere," Klaus said, giving both of them a look. His eyes remained on Cordelia's face longer than it did Maddie.

"Great," Cordelia muttered.

"This is so stupid," Maddie muttered.

"It honestly is," Cordelia noted, drinking her expresso shot. Maddie watched with as she just drank the whole thing with no pause. "What?"

"I mean it is a shot so I shouldn't be shocked your downing it."

"You sound like mom," Cordelia noted. "Speaking of mom, let her know that I won't be home tonight."

"Where are you going?"

"I think I'm going to a party," Cordelia said. She was looking down at her phone.

"Mom is just going to love that."

"She'll get over it." Cordelia's tone was unbothered.

"We need to come up with a plan about Elena!" Matt said. "She is completely out of control."

"No thanks to Damon," Caroline spoke, her voice dreaded with sarcasm.

"And now Katherine has the cure," Rebekah noted.

"I told you all not to go in search for it. None of you listened." Kol said seriously. "Now Silas is awake."

"After we find the cure we can deal with Silas!" Said Rebekah.

Kol shook his head at his sister, "How could you be so utterly stupid?"

Matt spoke up, "Arguing won't solve anything."

"Oh look the quarterback speaks."

"Back off," Maddie said, looking to Kol.

"And how cute, lovely Maddison defends the quarterback." He looked between the two a grin coming over his face. "Watch out brother."

Maddie rolled her eyes. She did however peek over to Elijah. His face was calm and collected. After the arguments that they had been having she hoped he didn't take Kol's words seriously. She didn't need anything else to argue with him about. Especially now with everyone knowing that Kol actually wasn't dead. She was sure that would spark some kind of argument or fight later.

"How is it that you are even alive?" Rebekah asked Kol.

"Yes," Klaus spoke up, "how is it that you're alive?" He then looked over to Maddie and Cordelia, "And what part did they play in it?"

"You should be thanking us," Cordelia said annoyed. "Your brother is alive and well, no need for attitude."

"Okay, I know you are all dealing with family issues but back to the important things," Caroline said, grabbing everyone's attention, "ELENA!"

"Caroline's right," Stefan spoke up.

"She is out of control without her humanity."

"And how do you suggest we help her?" Ric wondered.

"Here's a thought," Cordelia said, "stake her."

Maddie snorted, trying to cover it.

"I agree with the lovely Bennett," Kol said. "Kill her. That way she can join Jeremy."

"Nobody is killing Elena," Damon said in her defensive. He rose to his feet glaring at Kol.

"Speaking of Elena," Caroline noted looking around the room, "where the hell is she?"

Stefan looked around guilty, "We locked her in the cellar."

Klaus rolled his eyes, "I see what that has to do with us."

"Why are you even here Klaus?"

"Why are any of you here?" Maddie wondered. "This is a school you know. Vampire sessions should be held later."

"I'm a hybrid love," Klaus smirked.

"Whatever."

"Maddie makes a point," Ric spoke up. "I know it's been a while Damon, but when you want to arrange meetings do it somewhere else. This is a school building. Let's try to remember that before we get up and start snapping necks." Before he could say anything the phone in the classroom began to ring. Ric walked over to it, "Hello?" There was a moment of silence before he looked at Maddie, "Yeah she's here." Another short moment of silence, "Okay."

"What did they want?"

"Just wanted to see if you were here yet."

She rolled her eyes, "They're dragging this whole thing."

"Relax," Cordelia said. "Be happy. It's your senior year. It's more than half way over, you're graduating soon and then off to college. But not before you have a lit graduation party."

Maddie rolled her eyes, "I can't even deal with you."

Of course, of all things Cordelia could be thinking about it had to be a party.

"Can I plan it?"

"Plan what?"

"Your graduation party!" Cordelia snapped.

Everyone in the room looked at them with amusement. Especially Klaus, who had his eyes glued to Cordelia. He couldn't get over how beautiful she was. Her perfect shaped oval face, the green eyes, the dark colored hair that was straight yet had a certain kind of wave to it, those perfect full lips and her beautiful smile.

"Why should I even have one?"

"To get money from people," Cordelia said as if it were obvious.

Maddie rolled her eyes but smirked, "You are unbelievable."

"But you love me," her sister stated. "So you'll let me plan it?"

"If that floats your boat."

"Great! Make sure that you tell mom I'm in charge."

"What are you going to do put beer kegs at every table."

"That's such a great idea." Maddie looked at her sister as if she had suddenly grown three heads. Cordelia laughed. "Relax. I wouldn't do that for your party. Now mine, is a completely separate thing."

Maddie smiled, "Your birthday is coming up."

"Two months," Cordelia sang.

"Are you excited?"

"To start my twenties, hell yeah."

"Are you going to have a party at the house like last year?"

Cordelia shook her head, "I don't know. I like thought about it and stuff, I know mom and dad won't care, but I think I want to go see Kyle and Chris."

Maddie nodded. It had been a while since she had last seen her cousins, "Have you talked to them?" She felt bad. "I haven't in so long."

"I talked to Chris the other day. They're down for a getaway."

"Well do you hear that?" Both girl's heads snapped to Kol. Amusement glistened in his eyes. He was obviously ready to try and start up some trouble, "Kyle and Chris you say. I guess my brothers should watch out. Seems the two of you have back up men."

"First of all, Kyle and Chris are our cousins." Cordelia answered, "And second, even if I was talking to someone it doesn't concern you or anyone else. I am single."

Damon smirked, looking over at Klaus, "Well I guess she told you."

"Shut up Damon!" Cordelia snapped at him.

"The cure and Elena." Snapped Ric.

"Yes," Matt interjected, "thank you."

Cordelia shrugged, "Neither of which concerns us." She gestured between Maddie and herself.

"She's right," Maddie said glancing at everyone on the opposite side of the room.

As her eyes looked over to that side she noticed how she and her sister were closer to the door. The originals were some what in the middle of the room, even though they were all standing against the wall, and everyone else was at the far end. Ric was sitting behind his desk, as if he were on neutral territory or something.

Matt, wanting to keep the peace spoke up, "She is out of control Damon." Maddie was surprised in him. He was actually directly speaking to Damon. In her own way she was proud though. "You need to tell her that you want her to turn back on her emotions. Since she's sired to you."

"I can't make her do anything," Damon said. "Sire bond isn't working."

"What do you mean it isn't working?"

"Well genius, I mean that with her emotions off she feels nothing so whatever feelings she had for me are now long gone."

Matt shook his head, "Unbelievable."

Klaus, who was still standing against the wall chuckled. Damon glared over at him, "You think this is funny?"

"Contrary to what you believe I think that this whole thing is quite hilarious."

Elijah rolled his eyes at his brother before glancing at Maddie. She was looking at him. When their eyes locked she quickly looked away choosing to stare at her phone screen.

"Well," Damon began sarcastically, "so is your infatuation with Cordelia."

Cordelia rolled her eyes saying in her own sarcastic voice, "It's not like I'm sitting right here listening."

He grinned over at her, "Oh, I know you are listening and so does he," he cocked his head towards Klaus.

"Don't start Damon," Maddie muttered to him.

"I wasn't aware the two of you were on speaking terms," Kol interjected.

"Please Kol, for all of us, shut up."

Rebekah spoke up, "I have to agree with her."

"You agree with anything that gives you the time of day sister." Kol said. "Although, I'm pretty sure the two of you are no longer friends. After all you didn't even care when I died."

"Alright," Stefan spoke up. "Arguing is getting us nowhere." He turned to Klaus, "Where is Katherine?"

Klaus smirked, "Why do you think I know where Katerina is?"

"Because you don't want the cure to be used on you so of course you're tracking her," Damon said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. His voice then turned serious, "Where is she?"

"I have no idea."

Stefan spoke up, "You're lying."

"And you both assume that if he did find the cure he would give it to you for Elena?" Rebekah questioned, "I'm his sister."

"Your loyalties are faulty," Kol commented. Damon smirked at that.

"Ah, while Kol does make a point so does she," Klaus said. "She is my sister. And why would I give Elena the cure over her? Especially after she and her brother killed mine." He then turned to the Bennett sisters, "I hope you are both aware that you will tell me of your involvement with my brother's revival."

"Don't be dramatic," said Cordelia.

At that moment, Maddie's phone buzzed. She looked down at the screen.

Will – Are you in school today?

She rolled her eyes.

Maddie – Unfortunately.

Will – You heard they're announcing top fifteen?

Maddie – Yes, I did. I also heard they wouldn't announce it unless everyone was here. Any idea why we can't leave our classrooms?

Will – I think they're doing a drill or something. Any chance you did the math homework?

Fuck. She had forgotten all about her math homework. Reaching over to her backpack she quickly grabbed her math notebook and a pen. She had written down all the problems yesterday in class. Seeing that she did half of it she felt a little bit better.

Maddie – I did half. Thanks for the reminder.

Will – No problem. Mind sending it to me?

Maddie – Sure.

Will – I appreciate you.

Maddie – Ha ha.

"Did you forget to do homework?" Cordelia asked with a fake shocked voice.

Maddie glared up at her, "Yes! And if I don't finish I'm skipping."

"You're going to skip math?" She asked in disbelief.

"I skip class sometimes."

"But not math."

She had a point.

Ric, hearing them smirked, "I guess it's not a good time to ask if you did my homework?"

Maddie's eyes widened slightly, "You assigned homework last night?" Ric's only response was a laugh.

"You're being quiet," Damon looked at Elijah. "Even for you."

"Watching you all argue over the cure isn't how I would like to spend my morning."

"Right. And you have no interest in this cure?"

"No."

"You had a thing with Katherine once," Damon began, "why don't you just ask her to hand it over?"

"And what makes you think Katerina would do that? This is her only leverage."

"Well the least you could do is help us find her."

"Mystic Falls High School," everyone's ears perked up as Principal Weber's voice came over the loudspeaker, "please give us your undivided attention as we announce this year's class, top fifteen."

Caroline grinned over to Maddie, "Oh my god, it's happening!"

Cordelia rolled her eyes at Caroline's expression, "You've been going to school here for four years now and they do this every year. Why are you just now freaking out about it?"

"Because I've never had a friend on it."

Maddie didn't say anything. She knew she was on that list but didn't know where she stood. She hadn't checked since the beginning of the year. Now she was nervous. Her heart beating faster and faster. She tried to slow it down, knowing more than half of the room can hear it. As a distraction she began to play with a strand of her hair.

"Ah, so today you will be named Valedictorian," said Kol.

"I don't want to be Valedictorian," Maddie said honestly. She had no interest in doing a speech at graduation.

"No way she's beating my rank." Cordelia joked.

"And what was yours?" Bonnie asked. Maddie had almost forgotten that she was even in the room. She had been so quiet fading into the background.

"I was number four nosey."

Weber began the countdown, "Fifteen Kyle Mackie, fourteen William Bach, thirteen Connor Al Baylor, twelve Olivia Prescot, eleven Philip J. Lackner, ten Hanna Elizabeth Mitchell."

"I didn't know that Hanna was smart," Cordelia noted.

Maddie tried not to laugh, shaking her head, "You are terrible."

Weber continued, "Number nine Robert Haste."

Cordelia looked to Maddie, "Is that Andrew's brother?"

She nodded, "Yeah. I think they have a younger brother too."

"Yeah, Thomas or something like that."

"Excuse you," both girls looked across the room to Kol, "some of us are trying to listen." Maddie gave him her middle finger which made him grin.

"Number eight Timothy Green, number seven Mackenzie Joy Daine, number six George Grey, number five Carl Roads, number four Tammy Shall," said Weber.

"You beat my rank," Cordelia said.

"Of course I did I'm smarter than you," Maddie joked.

"Or maybe she isn't on there," Bonnie said.

Everyone turned to look at her, "Shut up Bonnie. Shouldn't you be trying to resurrect someone from the dead?" Cordelia asked before pulling out her phone and pointing it at Maddie.

"What are you doing?" Maddie asked.

"Snapchatting."

Maddie stared at the camera with a blank face.

"Number three Rose Gowan." Weber took a small break, "Your class Salutatorian will be Maddison Lynn Bennett and your class Valedictorian will be Ryan Voncannon. Congratulations."

Salutatorian. Maddie let that settle in. She had done it. She always knew that she would be in the top fifteen but she never knew what number and now it was official. She was number two. She didn't care that she wasn't number one. She was happy with second. In fact, she was ecstatic which shocked her considering she had never cared about it before. All of her hard work had paid off.

"Are you happy with it?" Cordelia asked.

She nodded, "Yeah." She smiled, "I am."

"Congrats sister."

"I'll see you at the game," Cordelia said as she and Maddie walked down the stairs.

After the top fifteen had been announced another announcement came saying that they could leave the room. Maddie had practically bolted out of there, giving her thanks to those who had congratulated her. But by that time, it was already half way through second period. Paul had texted her and Hanna to tell the team that they were going to meet outside for the bus at nine thirty.

"Where are you going?" Maddie wondered.

"To see Craig and then I'm going to go home, shower, change and go to the game."

"Are you driving with mom and dad?"

"Nah." She shook her head. "I'll see you later."

Maddie waved. She then made her way to the girl's locker room. She quickly went to her own locker and set her stuff down, undressing. As she stood there in her bra and panties she felt a presence behind her. She quickly turned around. "What do you want?"

Elijah stared at her, "Congratulations."

"Um, thanks."

"I'm proud of you."

That melted her heart a little bit, "Are you really?"

"Yes."

"No matter, how irritated we might be with each other doesn't change how much I love you."

"I love you too."

He walked closer to her, "How do you feel?"

"About what?"

"Being Salutatorian of your class."

"I'm happy with it," she told him honestly.

"Good." He looked around, "I'm going to let you get dressed. I know today is an important day for you."

"Thanks."

"I'll see you later."

She nodded. While it seemed, they were now on speaking terms it was still awkward. He leaned over kissing her head before he disappeared. She took a small breath before shaking her head. She had to get focused.

They won!

Maddie and her team were in a group hug on the field of Whitmore college. It had been a great game but they had won, ending the game in the score of 5 to 3. After the shock of their win settled they went over to shake hands with the other team before going back. James had a look of contempt on his face but Maddie could tell there were some things he wanted to say.

"Let them be happy," she murmured to him. "Yell tomorrow."

He gave her a small nod before he spoke, "It was a good game."

"Yes, it was. Now smile," she put on her best one, "there are people taking pictures."

Right.

Cordelia wasn't sure how she ended up here. Well, she knew how but she hadn't wanted to come here. She had just been driving around, planning on going over to a friends house when she ended up at Klaus' house. She considered getting back in her car and going home but she was already walking through his front door. Hearing voices she followed them. A look of irritation came over her face as she saw Klaus talking to some girl. A frown came over her face. She looked familiar. She quickly recognized her as someone from the Miss Mystic Falls pageant in December. Her frown turned into a pissed off face when she realized how close they were to one another.

She let out a fake cough. "Well would you look at this."

"Who is she?" Hayley asked Klaus. He didn't answer her, instead he turned to Cordelia, a smirk on his face.

"I wasn't expecting you," was all he said to her.

"Obviously." She looked between the two of them. "I see I'm interrupting something."

"Yes, you are," Hayley said.

At the same time Klaus said, "No, you aren't." Hayley looked at him, her mouth forming into an O shape. "You can go Hayley." He didn't look at her as he spoke. "I will talk to you later."

"Unbelievable," she said before storming out of his house. They both heard his door slam shut.

"Where did you find her?" Cordelia asked crossing her arms.

"Does it matter?"

"Yes, so I can make sure I stay away from there."

"Not a fan of her?"

"Not exactly."

"Well I'm glad that you're here."

She raised an eyebrow, "You are?"

"Yes. Now you can tell me about how my brother Kol came to be standing in front of me earlier when I saw him lying dead on the Gilbert tour."

"That's not what I came here for."

"Why did you come?"

"I don't know." She said. "But considering the company you were about to keep I should go."

"You sound jealous love."

"Of what? The fact that you were about to sleep with that girl? I've already had you and it was mediocre." She let out a small gasp as Klaus vampire sped to her. He was standing right in front of her, looking down at her.

"Mediocre you say?" He raised an eyebrow, "That's not what I recall you saying the last time we were together."

"And what did I say the last time we were together?"

Klaus moved his face closer to hers, his lips hovering over hers, "Shall I remind you?"

Before she could answer he kissed her. She felt herself melting against him. His warm lips pressed against hers. She let go of her phone and keys, letting them fall to the ground as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Within an instant he had her in his arms, her legs wrapped around his waist as they kissed in his art room.

Peaking out his tongue, Klaus ran it against her bottom lip. She immediately opened up for him letting out a moan as his tongue moved with hers.

In no time Klaus vampire sped them to his bedroom. Pulling away from her he wasted no time in getting her clothes off.

"Eager, are you?" She asked as he stripped her so she was standing in her bra and underwear.

"It's been awhile."

"And whose fault is that?" She wondered, working to get his shirt off. She stared at his chest, running her fingers over his tattoo.

"Yours."

She raised an eyebrow, "Mine?"

"Yes."

"And why do you say that?"

"Someone was ignoring my phone calls," Klaus leaned into her, letting his lips run along her neck.

"Someone was an ass to me the last time I was in town."

"Would you like me to apologize?" He wondered letting his tongue peak out as he kissed her neck some more.

She moved slightly out of his embrace, "What I want is for you to stop talking."

Grabbing the back of her head, Klaus stared into her green eyes. She was smiling and he could smell her arousal. "No problem love."

"Salutatorian!" Christian beamed looking at Maddie. "My daughter is salutatorian of her class. I can't wait to brag at work tomorrow!"

Maddie smiled back at her dad. It was nice to see him proud of her. Of course, she knew deep down that he was always proud of her, but sometimes it was hard to tell. Right now, it was the only thing she could see and it was great.

"Isn't it crazy?" Janette said from the front seat.

The trio were in the car driving home from getting ice cream.

Christian still had a grin on his face, "I am so proud of you Maddie."

"Thanks dad." She had her own smile on her face.

Green eyes looked around.

Cordelia moved her head slightly, observing her settings. She was in Klaus' bedroom. Looking down she could see the outline of her naked body covered by a sheet. She moved her head to the right. Klaus was next to her. His eyes were closed. She doubted that he would stay asleep but she hoped that he did long enough for her to slip out of there. She wasn't in the mood for the awkward morning after especially considering they had barley spoken the last past two months.

Moving the sheets, she quickly got to her feet. Her bra and underwear had ended up on her side of the bed. She bent down slipping into the underwear.

"Leaving so soon?"

Turning her head, she looked at him, "Well I don't fancy having an awkward morning with you."

Klaus smirked, "You could stay."

"You could ask me to." She couldn't help giving him her own smirk.

Moving back onto the bed she crawled over to him. As soon as she was within reaching distance Klaus pulled her to him, cupping her face in his hands and kissing her.

"Stay here."

"And do what?" She smiled against his full lips. Unable to help herself she gave them a quick peck before pulling away.

Klaus ran his hands down her naked back, stopping when he got to her underwear line. "I'm sure we can find something to do."

She let out a yelp as his hand came down on her ass, giving it a tap. "I'm starting to think you are obsessed with my ass. Smacking it all last night and now you're starting it again."

"What can I say you have a nice behind."

She let out a small laugh, "Ha!"

She let out a small sigh looking away. They did have a good night yesterday. After having some rough sex, where Klaus made sure he let her know who was in charge, he gave her slow and gentle. She loved both.

"What are you thinking about?"

"How much I enjoyed last night."

"Wore you out, didn't I?"

"You were alright," she joked.

He growled playfully, "I guess I need to show you again who's in charge."

"I would love that," she said honestly. "But first, I need you to answer a question or me."

He began messing with the ends of her hair while his lips grazed her forehead, "And what question might that be?"

"Tell me something," she pulled away. "If I hadn't come here yesterday would you have slept with that girl?"

Klaus didn't respond. She had her answer.
