CHAPTER 54 ~ Dodged
I DO NOT OWN THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
Tonight, was the big night, the dodgeball tournament. The whole school was buzzing about it and it looked like it was going to be a big hit. Even though it was a fundraiser for the senior class, every grade was welcome to play. The more money that was raised the better. From what Maddie gathered there were about fifteen to twenty teams ready to go for tonight. She knew that Caroline was in charge of the whole thing, not that she was surprised. She had also heard Rebekah had some handy work in it but she hadn't really asked any questions. Wednesday night, after she had gotten home from having ice cream with her parents, Hanna came over. Together they started working on their team shirts. They had black shirts and put everyone's last name on the back and a number. That was all they did for that night since they weren't sure what to put on the front. After sleeping on it, Thursday they decided to put "DODGE THIS" and a drew a ball. Because they did it right before practice Thursday, Hanna left school when Maddie did, they were dried and done by Friday morning.
"This looks awesome," Will said to Maddie. Excitement in his tone.
"Glad you liked it," she said with a smirk. "We put in hard core time and effort." That part was a joke.
"Do you need me to give anyone theirs?" Will asked.
Before first period, he had met her at her locker. He was lucky she was even there considering she came late to Ric's class most days. One of the main reasons she knew that she shouldn't have a 100 average. Will had caught her just as she got out her math textbook, which she had left in her locker the day before since they didn't have any homework.
She shook her head, "No I have class with everyone, or I will pass them by in the hallway sometime today."
"Alright great. I'll see you tonight."
She nodded, "You mean in math."
Will gave her a look, "Please don't remind me. I didn't study last no."
"Well mister fourteen of his class that wasn't smart of you."
"Because I need the brains of class Salutatorian Maddie Bennett," Will joked.
She made a face, "Ha, that's a good one. Good luck on the test."
"Thanks, I'll need it." He gave her a small wave before turning away.
Adjusting her textbook in her hands and her cell phone she made her way to class. When she got there, she could see Matt already in his seat talking to Caroline. She gave him a small nod before taking her seat. Opening up her backpack she looked through the shirts which were taking the majority of space in there, before giving him his.
"For tonight," she said seeing his confused look.
"Oh yeah, right. Thanks."
"Don't tell me you forgot?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Just slipped my mind." He took a short pause. "Don't worry. I will be there."
"You better. You know we want to win."
Matt laughed, "Yeah, I know."
"You're playing tonight?" Asked Caroline.
Maddie looked over to her and nodded. Wednesday, after her place in the top fifteen had been announced Caroline congratulated her. She gave her thanks and left it at that. She didn't want to be a bitch to Caroline, by continuing to ignore her, but she would never really trust her. Her loyalty was just too faulty. And while she didn't necessarily trust Matt with everything, like secrets the originals might ever tell her, she still loved him as her friend. And then there was Rebekah who she just continued to steer clear from. She was still upset with her. Even though Kol was now alive she couldn't believe Rebekah's reaction. It wasn't something she thought she could ever forget.
"Yeah," Maddie said finally answering Caroline's question.
"Oh nice. This is going to raise money for our prom."
Maddie nodded, "Yeah, I know."
She then went back to her seat. It wasn't long before Ric walked in and began his lesson. It was easy today. Just taking notes. However, the last ten minutes of class he gave out a quick quiz. Apparently, it was to help boost some people's grades. Maddie had a feeling that he meant Matt. She was sure he had other seniors who he wanted to help pass as well but she was well aware that at the current moment Matt wasn't doing so great. She felt bad for even thinking it but she was pretty shocked that he was even doing well in biology. She made sure to always help him out if she ever saw him struggling though.
The minute class was over she went to math. On the way she saw Turner, Casey and Liam, who she stopped to give shirts to. They said their thanks and she gave them a small smile before going to class. The rest of the day was easy for her. Hanna already had her shirt so she just had to find James, Miranda and Addison. She managed to find them all before she had band. In the middle of it she and Hanna received texts saying to tell everyone that today's practice was cancelled. They both didn't ask why, just did it.
In a way Maddie was relieved. That gave her more of an opportunity to go and make up with Elijah. While they spoke briefly Wednesday they still weren't on great terms. She wanted to settle that. But first, she wanted to go home. If things went how she planned she would just spend the day with him until the tournament. Possibly the night if things went even greater.
As Maddie pulled into her driveway she could see the mailman driving away. She quickly turned off her car and made her way to the mailbox. Grabbing it she quickly made her way inside of the house. She dropped off the rest of the mail in the kitchen and left a note next to it. The note was just to tell her mom that she would see her later that night. She knew that she and Cordelia were going to the dodgeball game, possibly her dad. She quickly went upstairs after, gathering the stuff she would need for tonight and an overnight bag. Although, as she packed for the next morning she smiled thinking about how Elijah had clothes for her already at his house. She dismissed the thought quickly leaving. She just wanted to see him already.
She knew that her sister had planned to take Lucy out for the day so that's why they weren't around. Taking one last look around the house she left, heading for car and then heading for Elijah's.
As Maddie's hand came down on the door it opened up. A grin came over her face as she saw Elijah standing there. He had on a dress shirt, his dress pants and shoes.
"Hi."
"What a pleasant surprise."
"Can I come in?"
Elijah nodded, moving out of the way and allowing her to walk in. Once she was inside he shut the door. She turned around to look at him.
"I don't want to fight with you Elijah." As she looked a bag that was in the corner caught her eye. She frowned seeing it before looking back to him. It was a travel bag. "You going somewhere?" She tried not to let her tone sound so, accusing. After all he could just have it there.
"Yes."
"Might I ask where?"
"Katerina is supposed to give me the cure."
"Oh, is she?" She wondered, crossing her arms. "Is she really going to hand it over or just play more games with you?"
"Well I suppose I will find that out when I get there."
"You have to be kidding me."
"Rebekah wants the cure," he told Maddie honestly. "She wants it for herself. She wants to be human again. Niklaus wants it to be destroyed."
She raised her voice, "So then let Klaus or Rebekah go get it!"
"She won't meet with them."
"To fucking bad!"
"You're being unreasonable."
"Unreas-," she cut herself off before she could finish. "You know what I am out of here!"
She was suddenly glad she hadn't brought in her bag. She had left it in the car. She made sure to slam the door as she walked out and stormed to her car. Jumping into her passenger seat, she had put her key inside when she heard the door close. Looking up and over to her right she could see Elijah sitting in her passenger seat.
"Get out."
"We need to talk."
"So now you want to talk?" She glared.
"This is the second time you've stormed out of me."
"Oh, I'm sorry," she said sarcastically. "Let me just stick around when you first tell me that you want me to tell my parents about us. And then let me stick around again when you tell me that you are going to go spend time with Katherine."
"I'm going to get the cure from her." She glared at him. "You know, if you told your parents about us I would have invited you to come."
"Don't start that today," she pleaded. "And I wouldn't have been able to go anyways. My lacrosse season is nowhere near over."
"Congratulations on your win."
Her glare softened, "You know about that?"
"Of course I do."
She turned her glare back on. She was not going to let him distract her with sweet saying and cute little smiles. No matter how much she wanted to just forget it and let it go she couldn't.
"Don't go," she finally said. She turned her body so that she was now facing him. "Stay here. Stay in town. If Rebekah wants to be human fine, I wish her well, but then she should go and fight for it. Let her go get the cure from Katherine. And if Klaus wants the cure so that he can destroy it then that is also fine. But let him go get it. Why do you have to go in their place?"
"Rebekah will kill Katerina once she gets the cure."
Maddie raised an eyebrow. She tried not to let it show how irritated she had become as she asked, "And you have a problem with that?"
"Katerina wants her freedom. She had been on the run from Niklaus for over five hundred years. She wants to give me the cure to give to Klaus in exchange for her freedom."
"So why can't she just hand it to Klaus?"
"Do you expect my brother to keep his word?"
Not to Katherine, she thought bitterly to herself. "I get it. I do. But that doesn't mean that I want you to go." She moved her hand and touched his. Giving his hand a little squeeze, she said, "I am asking you not to go."
Elijah sighed, "I told my brother that I would go and retrieve the cure." She knew then that he wouldn't stay for her. "I am going."
"So is that how it's going to be?" She wasn't sure exactly where the strung of emotions had come from but she could feel tears beginning to form. She held them back though. She wasn't about to cry in front of him. Not about this. "Whenever Klaus needs you to do something you'll just do it? Even if it means that you're putting your relationship in danger because of it."
"Is that what I'm doing?"
Her tongue poked out, licking her bottom lip, "Yeah. It is."
He sighed, "I will go and retrieve the cure from Katerina. Niklaus will let her go. And then it will be over."
"Why do I not believe you right now?"
"Maddison."
"Don't!"
"I'm going." He stated. She pulled her hand away from his. "And then I will come back and it will be over."
"Fine." She moved her face so that she was no longer looking at him. As she stared out of the window of her car, looking at his house a small smirk came to her. "Then since you're hanging out with your ex you shouldn't have a problem with me going out and doing what I want to do."
"Meaning?"
She thought of band earlier in the day.
Flashback:
"Can you believe this is our last band concert music?" Hanna said to Maddie.
"I know," Maddie murmured looking over at her. "It's all coming to an end way to fast."
"Tell me about it. I'm just happy that practice is cancelled so I can get in a nice long nap before the game tonight."
Maddie nodded. Tonight, was definitely going to be a good night. Not only were they playing and hopefully winning, but Will was going to ask Hanna to prom. Maddie had helped him make Hanna a prom proposal poster and everything. He planned to do it, as he said, after their win. She couldn't help but smirk at that. He had everything all ready and all she would have to do was distract Hanna and make sure she didn't leave as soon as the tournament ended. She doubted she would run out anyways. She wouldn't be able to. Not with Maddie's mom coming. Janette would want a whole bunch of pictures to be taken.
"Me too," Maddie finally said. "Although I probably won't actually nap, just lay down."
"Watch Netflix."
"That sounds like a perfect plan to be honest. I need to start a new TV show, any suggestions?"
"Game of Thrones."
Maddie smirked. She had heard so many reviews about that show. She and Cordelia talked about starting it over the summer. "Cord and I are starting over the summer."
"It is so good. When I tell you I am addicted to it I mean addicted! Every time it comes on it has my full attention."
"Good to know. Anything else?"
"You already love Pretty Little Lairs," Hanna stated. She then thought about it. "I haven't watched yet but I hear Scandal is pretty good."
"I always see that on Netflix when I log on."
"If you watch it let me know how it goes."
"I will."
"So," Maddie immediately noticed the sly smile that came over Hanna's face. "Did you go prom dress shopping yet?"
Maddie shook her head. She hadn't. "No. My sister wants to come though so we might go this Saturday."
"Cordelia leaves Sunday?" Maddie nodded. "Cool. I have to go myself."
"What color are you doing?"
Hanna shrugged, "I have no idea. I feel like I'm just going to see what I like and try it on. Whatever looks and fits the best, and has a good price, is the winner."
"I feel."
"Do you have a date in my mind?" Hanna asked, letting her sly smile become a huge smile.
"No." Maddie raised an eyebrow slightly. "Any reason that you're asking?"
"Just checking. You know, you're Maddison Bennett. Star lacrosse player, class Salutatorian, gorgeous, friends with a whole bunch of people. There are plenty of guys who would like to take you."
"Like?" She had a feeling Hanna was talking about someone in particular.
"Well Liam mentioned that you two are friends."
"Dodgeball Liam?"
Hanna nodded, "Yeah. And he's single," Hanna smirked, "you're single."
Maddie shook her head slightly, "Not interested in dating."
"Fine. But you could at least take him as your date."
"If he asks maybe I'll say yes."
"Maybe?" Hanna quirked up. "Has someone already asked you?"
She shook her head. "No."
"So then it's settled you can go with Liam."
"Nothing is going to happen between Liam and I, Hanna." She told her honestly. There was a smile on her face but she was serious. "He has been my friend since like, second grade or something like that."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah. He said the same thing. I still think that you guys would be cute though."
"Not as cute as you and Will."
Hanna looked straight ahead at her sheet music, "Don't start." Maddie chuckled. "We are cute though, aren't we?"
Flashback Ends:
"Maddison." Maddie shook her head slightly snapping out of it. She looked from the house to Elijah. "I asked, what you meant by that."
He sounded angry. Good. Even though she had no romantic feelings for Liam, or anyone else but him. she didn't mind seeing him get all worked up. Maybe then he would understand how she felt.
"Just what I said," she responded with a bit of attitude in her voice. She held his gaze with her eyes, "If you can go hang out with Katherine, or as you like to call her Katerina, then you shouldn't have a problem with me going out and hanging out with anyone of my choosing."
"Is that right?"
"Right!" She snapped. "Besides, prom is coming up and that means I'll need a date. You might not hold me as a priority but others do. In fact, a whole bunch of guys plan on asking me." She was exaggerating but he didn't need to know that.
"Is that right?" He asked again.
"Yes. And tonight, I'm sure they will want to ask me even more."
"And why's that?"
She leaned into him, not getting to close as she said in a hard voice, "Because tonight while you leave to go to your stupid, ex-girlfriend, or whatever she was to you, Katerina, I will be in a gym in a short and shorts that will make my legs look good in a dodgeball tournament. I'm sure they will just love that. You know, it'll make me look desirable, something you used to see in me but I guess now Katherine, oh I'm sorry, Katerina has your attention."
She went to move away but Elijah grabbed her, pulling her back. He stared at her with a cold, hard stare. Oh shit, she thought to herself. She tried not to grin. Yes, she had exaggerated but she didn't regret it. Not at all. Especially now that his hungry eyes had settled on her. She glanced down to his lap. He was hard for her. Looking back up at him she took her bottom lip between her teeth, sucking it slightly before she let it go. He watched her staring at that bottom lip for another moment before he looked at her face.
"Desirable?" He questioned. "That's what young men think about you? Hm? Well I can certainly see why. Look at you." He pulled her closer to him, using his other hand to grasp her head but it wasn't painful. He moved his lips to her ear, "But do they know what to do with you? Tell me, do you think that these young teenage boys know how to pleasure someone like you? Do they know what you want? Do they know what a dirty girl you are? Especially in bed."
She was wet. So wet. All thoughts of Katherine were leaving her. Her thoughts were stuck on Elijah and the things she wanted him to do to her.
She finally found her voice, "Do you know what I like in bed still?" She moved her head to look at him from the side. "Or are your thoughts still all about Katherine and this stupid cure?"
A moment of silence went by. "Get out of the car."
"What?"
"Get out of the car."
"No, I am leaving." That was a lie. She wasn't going anywhere. And they both knew it.
"Maddison, get out of the car, or I will get you out myself."
She raised an eyebrow, daring him. In truth she wanted him to move her out of the car and bring her into the house and have his wicked way with her. Elijah let go of her getting out of the car. She was still leaned over and by the time she began to adjust herself he was at the driver's side, opening up the door and grabbing her by the legs. She let out a yelp as he practically dragged her out of the car. As soon as she was out he hoisted her over his shoulders walking into the house. He kicked the door shut with his foot before walking them upstairs to his bedroom. On the way he smacked her ass. She bit her bottom lip. It had been a rough smack but that changed nothing. She still loved it. The minute they got into his bedroom Elijah moved them closer to his bed and he kicked off his shoes.
"It seems that you've forgotten who you belong to." As he spoke he didn't take his eyes off of her.
"And?" She wondered with a raised eyebrow.
"And it seems I'll have to show you." Yes please, she thought to herself. "Take off your shirt."
She pulled up her shirt from the end taking it off and letting it fall to the ground. Elijah's eyes roamed over her black lace bra that was concealing her breasts from him. Without saying a word to her he undid her pants button and zipper before bringing them down. She kicked them off along with her shoes when they got to the bottom of her ankle. She then stood before him in her bra and a turquoise thong.
"I can smell you," he stated.
"Oh yeah?"
He said nothing. Instead he moved his hands along her legs bringing them up behind her and cupping her ass cheeks in his hands. She watched in fascination as he then moved his face to the center of her legs, inhaling. Even though he hadn't touched her yet it made her even more wet to see him with his face between her legs. The anticipation was slowly but surely killing her.
Moving his face away Elijah also moved his hands off of her butt. The warm cushion his hands provided was now gone. Instead they went to her thong moving the lace that covered her most intimate area to the side. She looked down and watched in fascination as he began to rub on her sensitive flesh with his index finger. On instinct she spread her legs wider.
"You like that?"
"Yes." She loved it. But he didn't need to know that.
Taking his finger away he brought it to his mouth licking it softly. "So sweet," he murmured before he went in for the kill. Maddie's head snapped back as Elijah placed his face in her center, running his tongue along her clit. He nibbled and sucked on it, all the while inserting two fingers into her soaked wet pussy. Her hands that were on his shoulders tightened. His ministrations were taking over.
"I … I'm going to come." Her voice was raspy.
Elijah immediately pulled away from her at her confession. He left his fingers inside of her though. She could see a trace of her wetness on his chin. She liked it. But she didn't focus on it for to long. She was pissed that he stopped.
"Why did you stop?" She asked with a glare on her face.
"Who does this pussy belong to?"
Her glare was still on as she spoke, "I would say you but lately it seems like all you can think about is Katherine."
Elijah removed his fingers from her leaving her empty. "Wrong answer." Moving back to his feet Elijah stared into her eyes. She was so transfixed she hadn't even noticed him ripping off her bra until it was on the floor. "Who owns your pussy?"
"No one that's acting like it right now?"
It had happened so quick that she didn't even have time to blink. One minute she was standing there with Elijah in front of her the next minute she was on his bed laying on her stomach. She quickly moved her neck to try and see what he was doing. She watched at an awkward angle as he undressed himself. She didn't even realize she had her bottom lip between her teeth. Her eyes hooded when she saw him slip off his boxers. He was now naked. Her heart began to race faster with anticipation.
"You okay?" He asked her seriously.
She nodded quickly. She was more than okay. "I'm fine," she said, her voice raspy. "Keep going."
"Get on your hands and knees."
Oh fuck, she thought to herself. She did as he said, coming up onto her hands and knees so that she was now on all fours. Her heart started to beat faster and a smile crossed her lips when she heard the bed move as Elijah crawled up behind her. She slightly lowered her back and arched her butt as he came behind her. He trailed kisses up her spine and to her neck before gliding his lips along her neck, sucking lightly.
Moving his lips to her ear he said, "If I hurt you, or get to rough, stop me."
Moving her face so that she could look into his eyes she said, "You would never hurt me." His face softened slightly. "I want this."
And she did. She really wanted it. They had never had sex in this position. Actually, there were many positions that they hadn't had sex in yet that she wanted to try with him. Moving his lips from her ear to her cheek he placed a kiss against it before going back to her neck. He continued to suck on her pulse. She was sure he would leave a mark that she would need to cover up later. As he sucked he adjusted his cock so that it was right by her pussy entrance. Without saying anything he slammed into her wet core.
"OH MY GOD!" Maddie yelled. She was glad that he didn't have any neighbors that would be able to hear her.
The sensation that she felt was unexplainable. She always loved when she and Elijah would have sex. Whether he made sweet love to her or fucked her she loved it but this was so different. He always made her feel good especially when he was inside of her but now she just felt so full. Her head went back and her mouth formed into an O as he continued to slam in and out of her. At one point she could have sworn she heard herself panting but she brushed it off.
"Not god Maddison," Elijah commented. "Just me."
"I'm … I'm going to come."
Elijah's fingers pressed into her hips harder, "I know."
She let out another loud moan when one of his fingers entered her. He made sure his finger kept up with cock which was still slamming in and out of her at a very fast pace. It wasn't long before she came and he wasn't long after. She could feel him emptying himself inside of her.
The minute he pulled out of her he held himself up on his hands. She lay flat on the bed. It was only after a few minutes passed that she found the energy to turn herself around so that she could now face him. Moving her arms, she wrapped them around his back, interlocking them. She tried to push him down but it was no use. He was stronger than her and he was still holding himself up above her.
"That was amazing," she lifted her head. Her body was still tired but she wanted to kiss him. He let her but he didn't take it any farther than a peck. She noticed and frowned. "What's wrong?" Did he not like what had just happened? Her heart started to beat a tad faster. If he didn't like it she didn't know what to say because she had loved it.
Elijah moved his arms so that his face was right over hers. If he moved anymore he would be kissing her, "You want to go to prom with some high school boy fine. I will allow it. But make no mistake if you think that some little eighteen-year-old boy can give you any amount of pleasure that I can you are wrong."
He allowed her to feel his weight on her then. He smashed his lips into her kissing her roughly as his hands cupped her face. Maddie wrapped her legs around him. She could still feel evidence from their previous fucking inside of her and on her thighs but she didn't care. Neither did he. As he continued to dominate her mouth he slipped inside of her again. She moaned into his mouth as his tongue sucked on hers. Her hands held onto him as he now fucked her on the bed. Her moans were becoming louder and louder. He moved his mouth away from hers to hear them.
"Let me hear you."
A moment later she screamed, "ELIJAH!"
"Are you excited to be going back to school?" Janette asked Cordelia.
Before the tournament the Janette and Cordelia had decided to go and get a quick bite at the grill and then go to the school.
She shrugged, "Ready for it to be over."
"You don't like it?" Janette wondered taking a sip of her iced tea.
"It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I'm ready for summer to get here."
"Not to mention you will be turning twenty."
Cordelia grinned. That was also happening. Thankfully she wouldn't have to go back to school after her birthday for finals. She would be ending a few days before hand and then she was free to spend the rest of her summer home until the next term. Just thinking of summer got her excited. She had a really good summer last year and she planned on making this one even better.
"That's true."
"I can't believe my baby will be twenty."
"They grow up so fast, don't they?" Said a British accent.
Both girls turned to the right. Cordelia's face turned into a hard glare as she looked at Klaus. He only smirked at her before turning back to her mother. She then noticed that Kol was right behind her. He had a smirk on his face as well. She felt like flipping them both off but she knew that her mom would see and then scold her. Not that she cared to much about that but she didn't want her to start asking questions. Especially questions that had very complicated answers.
"Yes," Janette said. "They do." She studied Klaus and Kol. "I'm sorry. I don't mean to stare but have I seen you before?"
"Let us not be rude Kol," Klaus turned his head slightly to look at his younger brother before turning back to Janette. "I'm Klaus and this is Kol." He shook Janette's hand. "We moved here last year. We're the Mikaelson's."
"You had the ball, right?"
"Yes."
Janette nodded, "Right. Some people from the hospital went."
And so did your daughter, thought Cordelia. But she didn't need to know all of that.
"Hello Cordelia," Kol put her on the spot.
"Hi."
"You know them?" Janette wondered.
"We've met before."
"Well we must get going," Klaus noted he made sure he was looking at Cordelia. "Big events going on and all."
"Of course," Kol grinned. "With the huge dodgeball tournament tonight, we have to cheer on our favorite Bennett."
Janette perked up, "You know Maddie?"
"Of course. Everyone in this town should know their Salutatorian." Kol grinned to Jannette, "And where had she decided to go to college?"
"She really wants to go to North Carolina. No news yet but I think that she will get in. If she doesn't get in I have no idea what she will do."
"She has options."
"Well," Klaus grinned, "I have no doubt in Maddison's academic abilities. She, like her sister will go far. We will see you tonight."
Saying their goodbyes, he and Kol walked off. When they walked out of the grill Janette turned back to Cordelia, "The one with the accent was cute and totally eying you. You should go far it."
Cordelia slightly groaned.
Maddie smiled up at the ceiling in contempt.
She felt good. How could she not? She and Elijah had just had hot, crazy, wild sex. Her legs felt like jelly. She moved her body so that she was on her side facing him. Elijah was looking up at the ceiling. He also had a look of contempt on his face. Hearing her move he looked at her. A smile came to his face when he saw her breasts on full display for him. When she moved so did the sheet leaving her beautiful breasts on display for him. Her nipples were still perked up. He moved his hand and flicked one.
She chuckled, "That was great."
"Yes, it was."
"Really great."
"Glad you enjoyed yourself."
She placed her hand on his chest pushing her body up. She leaned her head down when she got close to him kissing him at an angle. His hand caressed her cheek before she could pull away.
"I did. You sure know how to dominate a girl in bed."
"One of my many talents."
"I hope you continue to use that talent on me."
"I most definitely will." He moved closer to her, "Especially if you plan on yelling out my name the way that you did today."
"Of course."
The couple grinned at one another. Contempt. While the problem of Katherine was no where near gone they were relaxed for right now. Moving around she looked out the window, frowning when she noticed it wasn't as bright outside. It was still nice out but it was going to get dark.
"What time is it?" She asked.
Elijah turned his head to look at the alarm that was placed on his in table, "Five."
"Shit."
"Something wrong?"
"I have to get ready for the tournament." She sat up straight. The only part of her body that was covered was her center and her legs. Elijah sat up as well capturing one of her breasts in his mouth, "Elijah!" She moaned out. It felt so good. She wanted nothing more than for him to take her back to bed but she had to go and get ready.
Elijah smirked before pulling away from her breast with a slight pop. He then moved his head to kiss the other one, "What?"
"I can't." A smirk came over her face, "Unless you want to join me in the shower."
"I don't think that would be a good idea," he said pulling away. "If that happens you will never make it to the tournament."
"I suppose you're right. But promise me something."
"And what's that?"
"One day you will take me in that shower. And on that bench."
His smile widened, "One day."
Maddie knew the whole school would be packed the minute she pulled into the parking lot. There were cars everywhere. Not to mention a whole bunch of people. The turnout was great, which was great for them in the long run. It meant that there would be more tickets bought, more snacks for people to buy and ultimately more money to go towards their prom. The Jr. Prom proposal had been approved and Katie told Maddie that tickets for that were around one hundred bucks. She had even asked Maddie to her hair which she had immediately agreed to.
Walking into the school building Maddie's mouth slightly opened. There were so many people. From little kids, to parents with babies and more. She could see the cheerleaders behind different booths. She saw one said tickets, another had snacks and one was for a raffle.
"Hey," Matt said walking up behind her. He had just arrived as well.
"Hey," said turning around. "You look tired."
"I am. I had to unpack all of my stuff."
"Why?" She immediately perked up, "Did something happen with your house? Do you need a place to stay? You know that my door is always open."
"Maddie, relax." Matt said with a smile on his face. "Tyler gave me his house."
"He what?"
"He gave me his house. Put it in my name and everything."
"I guess Lockwood was useful for something." Matt gave her a slight glare but she brushed it off. It was no secret that she didn't care for Tyler. "So now what happens with your house?"
Matt rubbed the back of his head, "I guess the bank will take it."
She frowned but didn't say anything else. As long as Matt had a roof over his head she could rest easy. "Come on," she said, "let's go find our team."
"This place is packed," Janette said to Cordelia. The two had immediately went to find seats when they entered. Janette, who was friends with some of the parents helping out tonight had gotten their tickets through a raffle association so they didn't have to worry about that.
"Yes it is," Cordelia said as she sat on the bleachers. The two looked around. Cordelia was just glad that they had gotten pretty nice seats.
"Oh look," there is Jenn. Cordelia looked over to where her mom pointed. It was one of her friends from work. "I am going to go over and say hi."
"I'll be here."
"Okay," Janette got up and went off to go speak to her friend.
A minute of silence passed. Cordelia, who wasn't paying attention to her surroundings looked at her phone. It was when she felt a head on her shoulder that she jumped. Turning she opened her mouth but soon after closed it.
"I hate you."
"Fancy seeing you here," Kol noted. Next to him sat Klaus.
"Really, you're here?!"
"Don't act as if you didn't know we were coming."
"No," she breathed, "but I wish you would have decided to stay home."
It didn't take Maddie and Matt long to find their team. They were standing outside of the gym doors, closer to the girl's bathroom.
"What's sup?" Hanna asked.
"Nothing much."
"Nice shirt."
Maddie grinned, "You too."
"I feel like I haven't seen you all year," said Addison.
"I know," Maddie nodded. "It sucks. We used to have some good times in band before you quit."
Addison smirked, "That we did. But, have to admit I love my early leave. Three classes and then I get to go home."
"That literally sounds like heaven."
As they Maddie noticed Will giving her the side eye. When she met his eye he cocked his head to the side. She followed him to a corner. "What's sup?"
"The poster is in the boys locker room, Colton is going to get it when the game ends for me." She nodded. Colton was another senior who Will was friends with. "I hope that she likes it.
A grin came over her face. Tonight, he was going to ask Hanna to prom. Right after the game was over actually. She could not wait to see the look on Hanna's face.
"She is going to love it."
"Shit," he rubbed the back of his neck, "I hope so."
They had won hands down. But it had been a really good night overall. The minute there win was announced they had a big group hug before they went to go get the trofie. It was followed by pictures for the yearbook and of course pictures from the parents.
"Nice save at the end," Cordelia spoke as she walked up with Janette.
"That was such an entertaining game," Janette told Maddie. "Especially with the commentary that we had behind us."
"Commentary?" Maddie wondered with a raised eyebrow.
"Oh," Cordelia spoke up. "You remember Klaus and Kol, Rebekah's brothers." She immediately nodded saying nothing. "Well they sat behind us and you know Kol. He had to comment through the whole thing."
"Of course he did."
"He is so funny," Janette gushed. "He should be on TV. And the other one is a looker. I told your sister earlier she should go for it. He was totally eyeing her."
"Because she's gorgeous."
Cordelia flipped her hair, "I try."
She chuckled. As she did she noticed Colton with the poster. Will was going over to him. "Excuse me one moment."
"What's going on?"
"Prom proposal for Hanna," she muttered before turning. It wasn't hard to find Hanna. And the good thing was she was facing away so she had no idea what was going on behind her. She quickly went to stand next to Miranda who was talking to Hanna.
"There you are," Hanna said.
"Here I am," she gave a short wave with a smile. "We did so good."
Hanna grinned, "Yeah we did. At one point I thought we were done but we recovered well."
"True."
"We were talking about going to half apps after," said Hanna, "you in?"
"Sure." She glanced at Cordelia who was off to the side with her mom and a bunch of other people watching as Will walked up behind Hanna with the poster. She quickly looked back to Hanna, "Do you mind if I invite my sister?"
She raised an eyebrow, "And why I mind that or-." Maddie began grinning. She couldn't help it. More people had crowded around and were watching with smiles on their faces.
"What?" Hanna asked seeing her face.
She jerked her head and Hanna spun around. Maddie stepped slightly to the side so that she would be able to see her face better. She was totally blushing. Will walked right up to her, holding out the poster. It read,
NOW THAT WE'VE DODGED THESE BALLS
CAN YOU CATCH ME AT PROM?
After a moment passed Will walked right up to her standing in front of her, "Will you go to prom with me?"
Hanna nodded excitedly, "Of course!" She then jumped into his arms giving him a hug. There was clapping and a whole bunch of people saying aw.
Maddie smiled at the two as she walked back over to her mom and sister.
"I wish someone asked me to prom like that," Cordelia said.
"Shut up." Maddie replied, remembering how Cordelia had been asked to go to prom every year of high school.
Cordelia turned around. Seeing no one behind her she frowned. She had definitely heard something. She had left her mom and sister shortly after the prom proposal. She had to use the bathroom and then after she just felt like walking the halls of her old school. Nothing had really changed. Her instincts were telling her to get the hell out of there. Turning back around, her eyes widened and her mouth opened as she was about to scream before she closed it. Klaus.
"I hate you."
Klaus smirked at her, "Really? Because I would say when it comes to my capabilities in bed you love me."
"Ass."
"You didn't answer my phone call yesterday night." He sounded annoyed but his face portrayed hurt. "Or my text this morning."
She gave him her best sarcastic voice, "Oh I'm sorry I don't really feel like talking to you. It might have something to do with the fact that you were going to sleep with that girl."
Klaus looked irritated, "But I didn't."
"But you were going to. Honestly, if you had would you have told me?" She wondered with crossed arms.
"What do you want from me?" Klaus asked her.
"Honesty!" She snapped.
"Fine," he seethed taking a step closer to her, "Yes. Had you not showed up I probably would have slept with Hayley." Her face dropped. "But I would have thought of you the whole time."
"Is that supposed to make me feel better?"
"Yes."
"Well it doesn't."
"I don't know what you want from me love."
She pretended to think about it, "Let's see how about the next time I leave and go back to Stanford if you want to talk to me so bad you come and see me. It's not like you have money issues or timing problems." She said seriously. "And while I'm gone if you see a girl coming onto you ignore her and go home or you come see me."
Klaus smirked, "And if a girl pops up at my house?"
"You can call me and I'll scare her off." Cordelia noted. "But if that's impossible for you to do and all you want from me is to be fuck buddies fine. The sex was decent so I don't have any issues continuing it." It was better than decent but she wasn't going to admit that to him. "But, with that being said I do hope you know that means I'm fair game."
Klaus took a step closer to her, "And what does that mean?"
"If a hot guy wants me I'm single."
He glared at her, "I don't think so."
"Doesn't feel good, does it?"
She gave him one last look before turning around and walking off. She didn't get far as Klaus vampire sped and grabbed her speeding them off into a deserted classroom. He slammed her against the door when it closed but not to hard.
"If I find out that you've been with-," he began.
She cut him off, "YOU'LL WHAT?"
"I will kill them. And I will make you watch."
She glared, "You're impossible."
"You can admit that you love it."
"I don't."
Klaus moved his face just above hers, "Lies."
She opened her mouth to argue but she found that she couldn't speak. Actually she couldn't do anything in that moment but feel because he was kissing her and she was kissing him right back. She jumped up slightly so that she was in his arms with her legs around his waist. He easily held her his hands cupping her butt. She easily gave him the access that he wanted allowing their tongues to work together. It was like magic.
She pulled away out of breath, remembering this argument that had occurred not even a minute ago, "What does this mean?"
"It means," his lips glided slightly over hers, "that you are mine Cordelia Bennett."
She made sure she held his eye as she said, "I like the sound of that."
Hello everyone! First, thank you all for continuing to read and support this story. I really do appreciate it. Second, I was looking over the episodes and as you know I don't follow them all. I see that the prom episode was put out before the originals episode and there are like one or two in between that and then graduation. I will be changing that order. I'm not sure to what yet but I just wanted to give everyone a heads up!
Thank you all so much for reading.
In this chapter … Maddie finds out that Elijah is leaving. Klaus makes an introduction. Someone gets asked to prom.
Next chapter … Katie is off to prom.
