Last Chapter: Levi manages to escape Erwin's house with all the money he could grab. With his elation, he realizes he's actually quite hurt and becomes a cat to heal faster. To his utter shock, he finds himself in an alleyway, but not just any alleyway, the alleyway that he Eren in. So naturally, he finds Eren there again, but this time, Eren's taking him home.
This Chapter: Eren takes Levi to the vet to see the extent of his injuries, and once okayed by the doc he gets to take him home! Cuddles ensue.

Levi was laying on a cold metal surface in a white room as the little blonde vet looked at him. She kept poking and prodding and it hurt like a bitch. Levi growled loudly in complaint but felt a familiar warm hand stroked his side before gently playing with his ears. That spot felt damn near heavenly, a loud purr emanating from the grumpy cat as the vet continued to press his tender ribs and leg. Damn… where the fuck did he learn to do that?
"It's ok Corporal. Krista is going to make you feel all better! And once we get you checked out I can take you home!" Eren soothed. Levi watched the many emotions flit across his beautiful green eyes, happiness, relief, sadness, and love. Eren was looking at him with love in his eyes. Levi's heart started pounding in his tiny little chest and he stared right into his sunshine's eyes. He loves me. My sunshine loves me. Somebody in this godforsaken world loves me.
Ever since he was a kit, he accepted the fact that nobody loved him. My father, his siblings, humans and the world. No one loved Levi. That's what he's told himself for years. Especially since fucking eyebrows always said the same thing. 'No one could love a slut like you. Only I could.' He would constantly remind him that he could never be loved. It's not like he didn't already know that but he didn't need to fucking rub it in.
But look in his eyes. That's right. The person I love most, the only person I have ever loved, is looking at me with love in his eyes. With absolute happiness and love that it makes me want to weep with utter joy. Why me though? What have I ever done to deserve this brat's love?
As Levi was thinking, he didn't realize that he was also staring straight into his sunshine's eyes. He smiled gently and leaned over, kissing his nose before backing away to give Krista room. If I was a human right now my face would rival a tomato and I'd probably be showering him with kisses. Hell, as soon as I have the chance I'm going to fucking lick him all over.
"So where did you find this handsome boy, Eren? I didn't think you had a cat." Krista asked, shushing the hissing feline when she pushed a little too hard on his side. "Sorry Corporal!" She cooed, giving him a small pet to his back which he growled half-heartedly at.
"Well… remember that story I told you? About the kitten I met when I was a kid in the alleyway on 4th street?" He asked, pulling the small chair from the wall so he could sit close to Levi and offer his hand to him. Levi took it gratefully, rubbing his face against the palm and taking in his scent, licking at his palms intermittently until his scent was added to the mix. Much better.
"Oh yeah! The one Mikasa kept teasing you about at that party in our freshman year!" Krista giggled, the brunette rubbing his neck in embarrassment.
"Yeah… well… I only knew the kitten for a couple of weeks, but I loved that kitten so much. I wanted to take him home but I couldn't even touch him! So I would just visit him every day for a little while and bring him food. I just wanted my cute little kitten to be healthy and warm, I just made sure not to touch him. But on Christmas, I came back and saw he wasn't there. The cat food, the scarf everything was missing. Someone had taken him in which is fantastic for him, he finally got to go home with someone that could truly take care of him, but I was absolutely devastated. I really loved that kitten, and as an 11-year-old you know how passionate I got."
"You're still very passionate now Eren." Krista pointed out, causing Eren to blush and scratch the back of his head. So cute.
"Heh… uh yeah… I guess. So anyway I came back. Every day for two weeks I came back with food and talked to the box, deluding myself into thinking he was still in there, nestled in my mother's red scarf." He said sadly and Levi's eyes widened. His mother's scarf!? But his mother is dead! That means… he gave me something of emotional value to him and… I stole it. Fuck I am a piece of shit.
"Since then I would go back to that spot every couple weeks, seeing if he would come back to me. It was stupid I know, but I didn't care. Sometimes there were cats there, I fed them and would pretend he was one of them. But… of course, he never was. This was going to be my last time doing it though. A couple of weeks ago I finally accepted that he wasn't coming back and that even if he did, he wouldn't remember me. But… when I came back and he was there… I'm so happy Krista." He finished. Levi lay stark still on the table, sad eyes looking up at the boy in awe. I'm fucking shit for doing that to him. I should've come back. I should've stopped being a prick and came back for him. He really came back to look for me all these years!?
"Wait! This is the same cat!?" Krista asked and Eren nodded.
"Yeah… I know it's him because he looks to be the same age, he's got the same black fur and beautiful blue-grey eyes. Also the little triangle on his chest, it looks like a cravat doesn't it? But what really told me he was my kitten was the scarf. He had it with him, my mom knitted my initials into the seem on the side, so I know for a fact this is the same cat."
"Oh wow your right, he even has the ring going around his neck. It's so cute." Krista added, Levi huffing at being called cute. I'm not fucking cute. I'm fucking night and death, fear me if you fucking dare. He stopped his inner rant in place of cursing when she laid her hand on his side, the pressure bringing the pain with it. Eren heard his whimper because he began petting his nose and forehead. Which Levi definitely appreciated, rubbing against his fingers and purring when he scratched that magical spot underneath his chin.
"So what's the news doc?"
"Well… I want to do an x-ray to be sure but I think he has broken or bruised ribs. Maybe even some sort of fracture on his hind leg and front leg. This could be from falling off some high place, being hit by a car, getting into a fight with another animal or… the worst one being abused. He's underweight, so he needs to eat more and he seems to be a bit dehydrated. Until I get the x-ray I won't be able to give a definitive diagnosis. For now though, I'm going to give you vitamins to mix in with his food and pain medication." She explained, scribbling notes onto her clipboard as she prepared to take Levi for an x-ray.
"Oh… poor Corporal. I'm really glad I found him. Oh, before I forget, do you have any catnip?" He asked and if Levi didn't love him already, he would be head over fucking heels for him now.
Levi meows loudly in agreement, earning a chuckle from the brunette. "I actually do. If you want to keep him a little mellower I suggest you give some to him now." Krista is a fucking genius and should be given millions of dollars for speaking fucking cat. Erwin never let me have catnip because he knew how much I enjoyed it. Damn bastard.
"Yeah. I think that's probably the best option." Eren agreed, laughing when the cat suddenly grabbed his hand and began attacking it with kisses. The two laughed at Corporal's antics as Krista turned to leave, shutting the door softly behind her. Eren seemed to realize that Levi was rewarding him for his 'weed' and started laughing, causing warmth to spread through the cat at the happy sound.
Eren… you are my sunshine… my only sunshine… you make me happy…

The car ride went by quickly for Levi, everything around him was swirling and felt very calm and relaxed. He vaguely remembered hearing music, and Eren singing said music. Levi recalled crying out every time he ran out of catnip, which Eren quickly gave him another pinch to huff. His whole body felt fuzzy and he couldn't pay attention to much. Eren thought he was the cutest thing, his furry little head bobbing up and down with his tongue sticking out. Traffic was bad so the normally 10-minute drive became 45 minutes, but Eren couldn't complain, not with the Corporal keeping him company. Once they finally arrived at Eren's apartment, he grabbed the drugged up Levi and brought him inside. Eren was thankful that Levi was calm, eyes lazily taking in the halls and elevator as they rode up to the 7th floor. So cute! I hope he likes my apartment… oh shit, I need to buy cat food!
Eren sighed, checking his phone to see that it was nearly 11, most pet stores would probably be closed. Welp, tomorrow before work I guess. "Meow." Levi cried out, no doubt wondering where his catnip is as they finally got to Eren's door. "We're here Corporal!" Eren closed the door and took off his shoes, placing Levi down to allow him to explore himself. Levi meowed again, confused as to his sudden shift in perspective. Hold me. I want to be with you! Not down here! Levi meowed again and Eren laughed, petting him as he took off his shoes and stepped into the hall. "C'mon Corporal, you're probably famished! I know I got canned tuna that you can have…" Eren walked down the hall and made a left at the second door and into a kitchen.
Levi followed closely behind, taking in the scents and sights of Eren's home. In cat form, his vision wasn't the best. Like any other cat, he is nearsighted and he can't see details that he would normally see in human form. The fact that Eren's eyes looked so bright to the cat shows how vibrant they are, and Levi certainly can't wait to see what they look like in his human body. Levi checked out the kitchen that Eren was in for a moment, before exploring the rest of the apartment.
The room wasn't all that big, a living room with a dark couch facing the flat screen TV against the wall with a cedar coffee table in front. The room was cut off by moving walls, and when Levi found a way in he saw it was a tatami room. A small foldable table sat in the middle, a closet behind it to hold the futons and the table should Eren decide he needs more room. Once he was in the hall again, he saw there was a balcony across from the small kitchen and the large table, some room to hang clothes and futons out on. The bedroom seemed to be in the hall across from the bathroom, just before the kitchen. Small, but still enough space to walk around in. Levi was actually pleased to see it was somewhat clean. There were some dishes in the sink and papers on the coffee table but he didn't see any cobwebs or dust on any of the furniture. Eren was messy but not dirty. Noted.
"Corporal! I found the tuna!" Hell yeah. Levi trotted over, rubbing against the boys' legs with his tail high in the air as he meowed his thanks. "Aw! You're so fucking cute. Oh shit! I have to call Mikasa and tell her the great news!" He suddenly remembered, taking out his phone to call while Levi chowed down. Levi could hear the nonstop ringing, as well as the automated message left when the person didn't pick up. Who's Mikasa? His girlfriend? I hope not, I don't think my heart could handle that.
"Huh, that's strange. She usually always answers right away. I'll try Armin." He said to himself, sitting on the ground beside Corporal, leaning against the cabinets as the ringing continued. Armin also didn't pick up, leaving Eren to stare in confusion at his phone. Both Armin and Mikasa were very important to Eren, the last family he had. Their jobs kept them all apart, Eren choosing to stay in Japan to help Hannes run his cafe, while the other two left to explore the world. Armin was training to become a Marine Biologist, and last time Eren spoke to him he was in Australia, but he's been all over the world studying marine animals as an assistant. Mikasa was a Judo champion, constantly touring the world going to competition after competition. She even won an Olympic Silver medal for her efforts and is currently teaching kids in the U.S. at a studio her friend owned.
Usually, they are very quick to answer the phone. Eren wondered, hand wandering to Levi's back to give him a good scratch. This caused Levi to make a sort of yelping noise as he ate, Eren bursting into laughter at the ridiculous sound. All well. Guess I'll just wish them a Merry Christmas tomorrow. "Well Corporal, I'm pooped. We have a busy day tomorrow and I have to get your supplies before work. If you wanna sleep with me you can! Krista was nice enough to give me some litter, and I have a cardboard box in the corner here for you to go in tonight until we get you a proper one." Eren explained, giving the cute cat a few more pats before standing with a stretch and a yawn. Levi followed him closely as he walked to the bedroom.
The bedroom, like everything else about the apartment, was pretty small. Only enough room for the queen sized bed, a nightstand, a dresser, and a vanity mirror. There was also a door that probably hid a closet. The room's walls were an off white color, like most of the apartment walls, and the bed a burnt orange with aqua pillows. Eren wasted no time in undressing, not paying attention to the curious cat sniffing about his room before hopping onto the bed. So far I don't smell anyone else, so it seems Eren lives alone. Hopefully, that means I can become human often enough to do what I gotta do. Levi thought, ignoring the other reason he was concerned if other people were in his apartment. That little spark of jealousy sated as he looked at his gorgeous, currently butt naked brat.
He had a pretty well-defined six-pack on his stomach that he wanted nothing more than to lick all over. Eren was very toned, tan arms and legs that made it look like he went to the gym often. God that would be so hot. Imagine all those muscles moving under his soft skin as beads of sweat slid down his torso and down the V of his hips and onto his… oh dear fuck I can see his penis. While he walked it flopped against his leg in an obscene manner. Levi was fucking glad he wasn't human right now because he knows he'd be red as a tomato.
Eren walked past without even a glance and leaned over to dig through his dresser drawer, giving Levi the most amazing view of his ass. It looked squishy and oh so tantalizing and why am I so damn horny about everything today? Levi felt like a pervert as watched him put on a pair of dark green boxer shorts and turn off the light. Levi's vision had to adjust for a moment but he amusedly watched as Eren blindly walked forward and once he found the bed, he flopped onto it like an oversized whale breaching the ocean's surface.
So cute. He clicked his tongue at him as he moved under the covers, no doubt inviting the small cat to sleep with him. Fuck. Yes. Levi all but ran for it as he soon lay on the expansive chest, head snuggled into Eren's neck making contented purring sounds. Levi felt a twinge in his ribs but ignored it, he honestly didn't need all the prescribed pills and shit. His ribs will remain sore and legs will continue to hurt for a few hours but it will be fine by tomorrow. Levi licked his nose and cheeks and basically anywhere he could reach until Eren was a giggling mess and had to stop him with his hand. "Corporal! Aish how am I supposed to fall asleep if you're just gonna be this cute?" He smiled, giving Levi a few goodnight kisses before closing his eyes. "Good night Corporal Levi." Good night, Eren.
Levi remained awake and vigilant, feeling the way Eren's breathing slowed after a few minutes. Eren changed his life when he met him. He gave Levi hope in humanity when he lost his, thinking humans were nothing but greedy monsters that did nothing but help themselves. Eren is proof that humans had a beautiful side, a caring side that gave a shit about people and things other than themselves. Eren gave Levi hope and love and he could never repay him for the kindness he showed him.
Levi's mind began wandering off as he thought of how much better his life would be now that he's living with his sunshine. A contented purr emitting from his chest as his eyes shut and his mind fell into the blissful waves of sleep with only one thought left behind.
I love you, Eren.
