"I ncan't believe the dipsy duo thought they could get away with sneaking into the Headmaster's office." Pansy popped a cookie into her mouth. We were in our usual nook, in the Slytherin common room, and the firsties had all gone to bed. "Potty should know, by now, that Weasel is completely besotted with Granger, and should have known how he would react."
"Yeah," I grumbled. "But now I got two weeks detention with them."
"Yeah," said Blaise. "But, we got fifty points out of it."
"Better you than us," was Astoria's contribution to the conversation. I raised my pumpkin juice in a toast to her.

"What's she doing here," Weasley growled as I came around the corner with Lucy Foght in tow. About an hour earlier, I had recieved an owl instructing me to fetch her and to bring her to detention to me.
"Because I wanted her here," came a rumbling voice from behind them. No one had heard Mr. Filch come up. "You three", he pointed to the trio. "Give me your wands. The Grand Entrance needs a good scrubbing, and you'll not be using magic."
"What about him," cried Weasley. "He's got detention too."
"Miss Foght's got to become familiar with Hogwarts, and where I keep stuff," Mr. Filch said with one of his creepy smiles. "Don't have time to show her it all myself. Can't have her wandering around the castle, no telling what might happen, this castle being magical and all. So, she gets to supervise his detention while he shows her around. Starting with her quarters in the Staff wing."
"He's a student," Granger said. "He's not allowed." Of course, she would know all the rules by heart. But there were always exceptions.
"He'll be with a staff member, now get along with you."
"That's not fair," Weasley shouted.
"What ever gave you the idea that life was fair," Mr. Filch asked as Miss Foght disappered around a corner. "Or that I had to be."
