Axel's p.o.v:

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

I slam my fist down on my alarm clock, groaning in disdain. I swear every manufacturer of alarm clocks got together with all the type A anal retentive ambitious assholes to make all alarm clocks annoying as fuck. Now as much as that annoys me to no end, it doesn't seem to bother Reno as much.

Now that I think of it, there didn't seem like there was a lot of things that bothered Reno. It seemed more plausible to say that there was a great deal of things that pissed Reno off. Going down that list generally got a handful of irritated sighs and 'fucks' aimed at no one really. Until it came to dealing with my dad. Then the only response given was silence. Utterly terrifying, creepy and morbid silence. The kind of silence you get when you get news a loved one died.

And boy does Reno wish to every god he knows that it ends up being my dad. With Reno's own hands.

"Axel?"

I blinked out of my thoughts and turned to see Elena hand me a cup of coffee. "Oh sorry Elena, I didn't see you."

Elena pulled out a chair and sat across from me. "Is something bothering you besides your dad?"

I sighed a bit. "I can't hide anything from you."

Elena smiled softly. "Not very plausible when a Turk's your friend."

True. "Its about Reno."

Elena cocked an eyebrow. "What's wrong? Something happen between you two?"

I shook my head. "No, its how he's been acting."

Elena made a concerned noise in her throat. "What's the concern?"

I let my head rest on my hand. "He's been so driven about driving a steak knife through my dad."

Elena seemed confused. "Wouldn't that be a good thing considering the circumstances?"

I let out a hesitant sigh. "Yea, but I feel like he's starting to put too much of his energy into this and its becoming unhealthy."

Elena scooted her chair in closer. "What have you noticed?"

I bit my lip. "I haven't seen him eating in a week, all I see him drink is coffee, I don't see him as much anymore and when i do see him he seems so aggravated all the time that its worrying me."

Elena held my hand. "We need to talk to him when he gets back."

I nodded, trembling slightly. "Okay."

Elena walked around and knelt to meet my down turned gaze. "Are you okay?"

I hugged myself tightly. "Anxiety."

Elena nodded. "Is there anything I can do to help you?"

I nodded. "Would you mind making hot chocolate? It always helps."

Elena nodded. "Of course!"

Elena got up and started the cocoa, glancing back at me every now and then. I shivered a bit while my chest started feeling tight.

Elena helped me sit on the couch, resting her hand next to my leg. "Its okay if you're scared."

I glanced up at Elena, feeling somewhat comforted by the semi-creepy grin on her face. "I know, but it feels worse to me because I love him. He's all that I have right now, and I don't want to picture my life without him because I know that means my dad will find me and kill me."

Elena laid a hand on my leg. "I get it. Don't worry Axel, I've got Rude keeping an eye on him at work."

I nodded, thanking Elena when she handed me my cup. "Is that his partner?"

Elena nodded. "If he would tell anyone at work how he felt, it would be Rude."

I nodded. "I'll trust that for now."

Elena chuckled. "Alright. How are you doing? You seem better."

I nodded timidly. "Yea, I'm okay now."

Elena smiled, pulling her phone out of her pocket. "Wanna talk to Reno?"

I nodded eagerly. "Can I?"

Elena nodded and hit a speed dial. "He'll be on his lunch anyway, maybe you can convince him to eat this time instead of sulking in his office over this case."

I nodded and held Elena's phone to my ear, breathing slightly irregular while I waited for Reno to pick up.

*riiiiing*

*riiiiiing*

*riiiiing*

*click* Hey what's up Laney?"

I let out an annoyed scoff. "I knew I sounded like a girl but I didn't think I sounded that much like Elena."

Reno sounded so excited I thought he hit his head on the ceiling. "Fuck Axel! You have no fucking idea how fucking happy I am to hear you!"

I laughed and settled into the couch. "I think I can tell. Babe, have you been eating on your lunch or sulking in your office and working through them?"

Reno sighed, I heard him pull on his collar. "I've been working through lunch to get somewhere with this."

I whined a bit. "Baby, I hate when you don't eat. You're making me sad."

Reno cooed through the phone. "I'm sorry baby, I didn't realize this was hurting you too."

I whimpered, sticking my thumb in my mouth. "I don't like when you're upset because it makes me upset to see you so hurt like this. I like when you're happy, cause your happiness is mine too. You're my everything."

Reno made the most adorable noise. "Aww, I'm sorry baby. I'll go get lunch in a minute okay sweetie?"

I squealed and bounced on the couch. "Thank you baby!"

Reno purred and groaned slightly. "Maybe when I get home we can play again? I know its been a while."

I whimpered slightly, crossing my legs. "I-I'd like that."

Reno cooed again. "Don't worry, I'll be home in two hours. Don't let Elena badmouth me."

I giggled while Elena glared in the background. "Okay, bye sweetheart."

Reno moaned. "Bye my little devil."

I couldn't help but blush while I hung up the phone, handing it back to Elena. Sometimes the way Reno spoke sent ripples of pleasure through me, making my spine tingle a bit. The drawl in his voice, especially when he moaned, was enough to drive me nearly insane. When he whispered in my ear, teasing me with hints of what he would do to me at the end of the day when we went to bed. Everything about him dripped pure sex, and its that thought that's making me want to pin him to the wall and hump him hard and fast.

*Beep!*

I looked down at my phone and saw a text from Zexion.

Zexion: Axel? Are you home?

I pulled my phone off the table and sent a reply.

Axel: Yeah I'm home right now Zex. What's up?

Zexion: I heard what happened. Are you okay?

Axel: So far doing better.

Zexion: That's good. How are you today? Have you eaten? I made pancakes.

Axel: ^^. I haven't had breakfast yet, wanna come over for a bit?

Zexion: Sure. I'll be there in fifteen.

Axel: Awesome! See you then.

Zexion sent a smiley face while I put my phone in my pocket, sipping my cocoa while Elena laughed. "He seems alright."

I nodded."We've been friends for pretty much forever. He always looks out for me, even now that I'm dating Reno."

Elena nodded and shifted her legs. "That's good that you have others to help you while Reno's at work."

I nodded and sat criss cross. "I haven't seen him in a few months. He took a trip to Paris with his boyfriend Saix."

Elena nodded, checking her phone. "Reno sent me a text. Said he be home ten minutes earlier, Rude's giving him a ride."

Hooray."Thank god for work partners. "

Elena nodded, standing up when she heard a car pull up. "What car does Zexion drive?"

I clicked my tongue. "1965 Chevy Caprice. Pale blue with white rims. Simply stunning."

Elena nodded, standing at the door. "Confirmed. What does he look like?"

"Silvery gray blue hair in a bang over one eye, blue eyes, very pale, little shorter than you. Wears all black."

Elena smiled while she opened the door. "Hi, you must be Zexion. I'm Elena"

Zexion nodded and bowed, shaking Elena's hand. "Pleasure to meet you Miss Elena. You're one of Reno's coworkers I take it?"

Elena nodded, shutting the door behind him while she sat back down at the table.

Zexion sat next to me and hugged me gently. "Hi Axel."

I cooed and groaned a bit while Zexion rubbed my shoulders. "H-h-hey Zexion."

Zexion squeezed me tighter before pulling away. "How have you been recently?"

I crossed my legs and sipped at my cocoa. "Alright when Reno is here. Then I start getting paranoid when he's at work, even with Elena here."

A sudden knock on the door nearly scared the shit out of me. "Zex, were you bringing someone?"

Zexion shook his head.

Elena readied her gun, inching towards the door, stopping in front.

My heart jumped into my throat, nausea starting to build while my anxiety began again. I shrieked when I felt a hand on my shoulder, looking up when I heard a soft yet gruff voice.

"Hey baby, I'm home."

I jumped up and wrapped my arms and legs around Reno's waist and shoulders, tears streaming from my face.

"I-I'm so glad y-y-you're home."

Reno cooed and ran a hand through my hair. "I know, thank god for work partners."
