So, I haven't updated this in a long time, all I can say is WARNING, it will turn pretty brutal down the line, just a heads up.
Sasuke awoke slightly confused. He wasn't used to this much sleep in such a short period of time, and never having had any sexual contact with anyone before the very act had tired him out terribly.
Blinking slowly it took a while for him to realize that he could actually see, and once again he felt confused, before looking beside him and seeing a handsome middle age man with silver-white hair sleeping next to him, with what looked to be the blindfold in his hand that laid over his bare chest. Sasuke had his head on the man's arm, and a small whiff of the air told him what he already knew, that this was the face of his hunter, that this was Kakashi.
The man was seemingly out like a light, sleeping soundly next to the raven haired vampire. Sasuke could feel a dull ache in his hips and back and blushed when he realized why his body was worn out. He had lost his virginity to a human, to a vampire hunting human, a member of the ANBU. He wasn't sure if he should be proud of that happening, or ashamed for it.
Just about then the man took a deeper inhale and frowned his brow while his head turned slightly towards Sasuke. The raven haired vamp held his breath as the man started to open his eyes.
This was his chance. He could use his sharingan on this man and escape.
But as the man's right side eye opened, the left that was covered with a long scar kept closed, and his blue eye focused on Sasuke's face, for some reason he didn't find himself activating his sharingan at all. The man, this vampire hunter, looked straight into his eyes and smiled gently. Sasuke would die before he admitted it, but he could feel a flutter in his chest.
"Hey there, little one." The voice was the same. The smell was the same. The feel of the hand, that had released the blindfold in order to come up and stroke his face, that hand was the same.
"I'm not little." He pouted. He knew it was childish, and he didn't care. He didn't like to be talked about as if he were still a child. The hunter, this man called Kakashi, just smirked.
But then it was like the mood changed, the man seemed to be in deep thought. He frowned for a while and seemed to be trying to make some kind of decision. Sasuke hoped it wasn't about killing him or something like that, and more about continuing what they had been doing before they fell asleep. His body was still tingling, just like before, and even though he was sore he felt eager to explore more of his newly found sexual interest.
When the man focused once again on Sasuke, in the back of his mind he knew that the man had made his choice about whatever he was thinking about, and the raven waited, slightly on edge, to find out what it was.
Not in a million years could he have made a correct guess as to what it was, for when Kakashi opened his left eye, and Sasuke came face to face with someone who carried the sharingan for the first time since he was a child, it was like time had come to a grinding halt.
His mind was racing as he was trying to make sense of what was going on, but he couldn't get things straight. His mouth was slightly agape, opening and closing a few times, and he was transfixed on the red eye so close to him.
"When I was a child...before I was fully trained to be a hunter, I had a friend."
Sasuke listened closely as the man started to speak.
"That friend, as you might already have guessed, was a born vampire of the Uchiha clan."
The man paused, his hand stroking Sasuke's face gently.
"He looked a bit like you actually." It was spoken softly, as in afterthought.
"One night he became seriously injured and passed away before the night had ended. But before he died, he gave me one of his eyes, his sharingan. I accepted it, and that night I became a half-blood."
Half-blood. Sasuke sucked in air through his teeth. He had heard of such things, they were very rare.
Some vampires were turned humans, they were like a weaker version of the vamp that had made them, but then there were some cases where the human who was turned became something else. Something more. Something like this man... a half-blood. A creature neither human or vamp, but with qualities from both.
The purer the vamp bloodline that had been mixed in was, the higher the quality of the half-blood, but the odds for the human actually surviving the change was so low that the chance of meeting a true half-blood was one in a million or less.
Normally no turned human, even if they were turned from a pure Uchiha, would be able to use the sharingan, it just didn't happen, the only case where it could happen was like in this case, where the human had turned into a half-blood like Kakashi.
All these things were rushing through Sasuke's mind, almost giving him another headache.
He closed his eyes and tried to focus. He knew now why the blood of this hunter had tasted so good and sent him into ecstasy, he knew now what that lingering taste in the background had been that had driven him crazy.
It was the taste of his clan, the taste of the remains of his clan that lived on inside this hunter. Ever since his clan had been wiped out, he had missed that smell, that contact, had craved it and needed it with his very soul.
Feeling Kakashi's hand gently lift his head he opened his eyes again, tears almost forming in the corner of his eyes as he thought about his family.
"Tell me. Tell me what happened to them, Sasuke. Tell me what happened to the clan...to our clan."
Something inside of him broke. After all these years, even if it was just a half-blood, he had found another kin, someone to talk to, to tell about the clan. There was no one else he could talk to, and without planning what to say, the words came gushing out from his mouth.
He told Kakashi that he had been out playing under the full moon, that he had been out later than he had been allowed to, and tried to hurry home before sunrise came. On his way home he was faced with an overwhelming smell of blood. At the site of the clans home he had found every clan member dead, every single one, or so he had thought.
Then he had found his brother, still alive, and at first, he had been so very happy about that. But his brother, his older brother, the prodigy of the clan, was not only alive, but it was also he who had killed their family.
He attacked Sasuke, beat him up and even bit him, drinking his blood, and then left without a trace before the sun rose. Sasuke had been left in the house of his dead family, waiting in fear and pain until the following night when he could leave, running away and trying desperately to forget the smell of stale blood and gruesome sights.
For years since he had survived on his own, even if he had been young when all this happened he was still an Uchiha, it gave him the strength he needed to live, and activating his sharingan at a fairly young age had helped him even further.
Kakashi held him gently, not interrupting, just listening to his words.
Sasuke even told him about his goal of finding and killing his older brother, to avenge his clan and their memory. After he had told about that his words ran out, and he laid there shivering. He had never opened up to someone else before, he wasn't used to the emotional effect it was having on him.
Kakashi who laid beside him also had a million things running through his mind now after hearing the story. After all these years he had gotten the answers he had been looking for. He finally knew what had happened to the Uchiha clan.
He was never acknowledged by the clan, but he was certain that back in the day when he became a half-blood, the clan had been aware of it, and since they hadn't killed him off, in a way they had approved of his existence.
A part of his heart told him that from the moment he had accepted the sharingan from his best friend, that clan in part had been his clan. Part of him came from that clan. Most likely without the aid of the mixed blood he carried, he would not have survived some of the missions he had faced since that day, and he was forever grateful for being what he was, even if many shunned him as an abomination.
The two of them laid in silence for quite some time, thinking of the past, thinking about their current situation. Their quiet time was abruptly ended however when the door to the cell opened, and a hunter with one of the white beast masks that all the ANBU carried entered the room. Both Sasuke and Kakashi observed the man as he entered the room, Kakashi with a lazy poker face expression, and Sasuke with a hint of weariness and fear, knowing full well that this man was different from the one next to him.
"Kakashi, the Hokage has called for you. She wants you to come right away, no delay." With that, the man turned, left, and closed the door. It was all over in a matter of seconds, but Sasuke couldn't deny how much he had tensed up during that brief interaction. Kakashi sighed hard and stroked Sasuke over the head.
"I'm sorry little one, I have to go." He did notice the sulking expression on Sasuke as he sat up and picked up his clothes from the floor. He got dressed while trying to act as if he didn't want to throw himself all over the raven haired vamp all over again, and this time he really put an effort into suppressing the smell of his lust, or else the young vamp might try to seduce him again. Try, and possibly succeed.
Once fully dressed he sat back down next to the black haired young vamp on the bed and held up the blindfold and the mouth guard. Immediately Sasuke raised his upper lip and half snarled at the mere idea of wearing those again, but Kakashi just shrugged.
"I'm sorry, but you have to wear them. Please don't make me put them on you by force."
Sasuke crossed his arms with a huff but didn't resist as the man leaned over and strapped the mouth guard and blindfold onto him. He got a small kiss on his temple for the trouble, and a gently whispered sorry in his ear, and then the hunter left him sitting on the bed, fuming in annoyance over having to wear these things. He was an Uchiha damn it. He cursed under his breath as he felt Kakashi leave the cell, the cell door closing gently and leaving the young vamp alone once more.
After sending a guard to request Kakashi to her side, Tsunade had leaned back with a groan in her chair. She had just ended a meeting with the council, and the things they had to say were not good when it came to the situation. They were all fully aware that Kakashi was attracted to the young black haired vamp as a direct result of him being a half-blood of that clan, and some of the council members, those old fossils, had concerns about what that would mean for the organization.
While the young vampire seemed harmless, he was far from it. One Uchiha alone was enough to slay several hundred high-level vampire hunters. One Uchiha alone could wipe out this branch of the organization. If one of their men had become infatuated with a member of that clan, that meant trouble, a danger for their lives even, they argued. Naturally, they thought that having Kakashi was a huge asset to the hunters, and thus they didn't want to get rid of him. But since Tsunade had refused to let them sentence the young Uchiha to death, a compromise had been worked out.
Hearing a knock on her door, she called for Kakashi to enter. His hair was disarray, and he seemed very wary about being called. Tsunade understood his feelings and decided not to let him have to suffer through talks about politics.
"You know why I've called you. The fate of the young Uchiha, as well as for yourself, have been decided through a meeting with the council."
Kakashi stood still, his image the perfect soldier, taking in her words but not showing any reaction to them. Turning her chair so that she could look out through her window and out over the city she pressed on.
"It's been decided that the young Uchiha will be returned to the wild population of vamps asap. In fact, he will be released in a matter of hours."
Kakashi's heart skipped a beat. He wasn't sure if he was happy, angry or sad. He was glad in a way because this was probably the best that could have happened for the young Uchiha, but at the same time, a selfish part of him wished that it had been decided to keep the young vamp contained. If he had been kept here, then Kakashi could have kept him. He knew it was wrong to wish for this, but he wanted the young vamp for himself.
"Naturally" Tsunade continued "he will be marked with a tracking mark, to learn more of the movement pattern of an Uchiha clan member, and to see what territories he uses. If there are others left alive this might tell us about them as well. This was a demand from the council in order for him to be released."
Kakashi grimaced at the tone of her voice. The council had forced their agenda into this, and in their greed, they probably wanted to be able to know where such a valuable 'asset' was at all time.
"As for you" She turned back so she was facing him again, and he immediately straightened his pose. "No consequences will be given to you for your actions. We all know what drove you to do the things you've done, and no one here holds it against you. The only thing the council had to say about that is for you not to be allowed to be the one to release the young Uchiha vamp, other than that, you're pretty much cleared."
Kakashi stood still, and while for most people it would look like he had the perfect poker face on, Tsunade ignored the fact that his mixed emotions were showing if you knew where to look.
In a situation like this she couldn't admit it out loud, but she was happy that he had finally found someone that he liked, even if it was a vampire.
Even though she was the head hunter of this branch of the organization she did not carry the burning hate towards the vamps like so many other hunters did. She tried her best only to accept hunters who have the same mentality into her branch, and for many good reasons too. Kakashi wasn't the only one under her care that had been "tainted" by the other side one way or the other, and having hunters who hated anything that had to do with vamps mixing with hunters like Kakashi and the rest just wouldn't work out.
Then again, having a super rare vampire in the same building as their headquarters wouldn't work either.
Tsunade had both watched what had been going on in the cell where the Uchiha was being kept, as well as heard the story the young vamp had told Kakashi no more than ten minutes ago. She was grateful that the last information, the part about the older brother slaughtering the whole clan, had come out after the council had already left.
Genma and Raido who had been manning the surveillance room were loyal to her and to Kakashi, and she had promised them hell and suffering if the recording was found anywhere else than in her private collection or if the words that had been uttered in that cell was ever heard elsewhere.
Hearing that story of a prodigy Uchiha with a blood thirst unmatched had only made her agree more willingly with the wish of the council to have the young Uchiha released. She had been around this ballpark long enough to smell something fishy, and whatever reason the younger brother had been left alive, she was sure she did not want to be around when that reason became evident.
"Kakashi..." Her voice was soft as she called the attention of the man in front of her. His attention focused back on her as she called out to him.
"At least this way he will be alive. I know what that clan meant to you. Please take that as comfort, there's not much more to offer in a situation like this."
He nodded at her words but didn't respond.
"You're dismissed. You look like shit, Kakashi. Go take a shower and get some rest."
Kakashi nodded once more and then left her office. She took a deep sigh and leaned back in her chair while rubbing her face.
In the other side of the building, Sasuke was still sulking after being left alone, blindfolded and muzzled once more by Kakashi. When he heard the weak sound of someone entering the room, his posture perked and he tried to focus harder on his surrounding.
"Kakashi...?" He hoped almost desperately to hear that deep, raspy voice again, but his blood felt like ice when he realized he had been mistaken.
"Sorry love, not this time. Kakashi can't come to see you."
He tensed up hard at the unfamiliar voice, the person was not far away from him, a meter or two at most, but before he had time to start getting into a fighting pose he was grabbed and pushed down onto the bed. He hissed at the feeling of the hunter's gear touching him when the man grabbed his wrists and pulled them above his head. The feeling of the spell protected gear was slightly painful, his heart was speeding up as he was desperately trying to get into a position where he could throw the man away from himself when he felt the already familiar sting on his neck. He froze as he felt the drugs start working on his system again, and in his mind, he cried out for Kakashi.
It had been one thing when the white-haired man had done this to him, this time it was different, and it scared him.
The three hunters in the cell watched wearily as the young Uchiha vamp fell asleep from the drugs, and not until one of them confirmed that the young male was truly asleep did they draw a deep sigh of relief.
They secured his arms and legs with additional spell bonded ropes, and then the largest of the three tossed the now helpless vamp over his shoulder, and started to take him away to the ritual chambers where the tracking mark would be placed on his body, allowing them to track his every move from this day forward. On their way there they passed a male ANBU with a brown ponytail standing in one of the hallways, but paid him little attention, merely giving a small nod as a greeting. As they entered the chambers that had been prepared for this particular ritual they missed the calculating gaze of the hunter behind them.
A few hours later, as the moon had started to rise into the sky, a very moody Sasuke started to wake up.
The first thing he noticed was that he was face down into wild growing grass. He groaned. He hated grass. It was full of insects and he hated bugs with a passion.
He tried to sit up, but found himself a bit unsteady, wobbling slightly back and forth. He looked around him wearily, finding himself in a lush meadow. He blinked and then blinked again, confusion kicking in hard.
Had the ANBU really released him? No, that couldn't be, that was unheard off, that just didn't happen. Looking around he had to admit that either it was a damn good illusion they had pulled on him, or he really was out and free again. He couldn't help but wonder if this was something that Kakashi had pulled off, but the memory of the to him unknown hunter or hunters that had been in his cell and drugged him was still fresh in his memory. He couldn't get anything to make sense.
He sat still for a few moments, looking around, feeling his surroundings.
He could see the lights of the city not too far away, he should be able to get there before dawn came, he had many hiding places where he could go if he was able to reach it.
He groaned once more as he tried to get onto his feet, his head was pulsing hard and after spending this much time in a cell that constantly drained his chakra he didn't have any reserves. He gave up on his attempts to get on his feet right away and sat down to try and let his body recover just a little bit more and to try and let his head clear up a little more as well.
As he relaxed and his gaze turned up to the heavy and round moon coming up over the treetops, a cold breeze came by him, and he shivered.
"Hello there, foolish little brother..."
The whisper was low, so very low, but he heard it crystal clear since it had been spoken less than a breath's distance from his ear. The hairs on his neck and arms rose as if he had been electrocuted, the cold of fear gripping his heart.
He had never thought he'd feel this way, but now he wished he was still a captive of the ANBU, he wished they hadn't released him at all.
As the smell of his brother surrounded him, his mind screamed in terror, knowing full well that he couldn't even hope to fight his brother in the condition he was in tonight.
TBC (pretty soon too)
