This is so strange... I have no idea if anyone is still interested but it is now many years later since I have been here... new chapters to come it's just too good of a plot for me... may be different slightly as I am years older but I will give it my best shot!
"You are quite the strong one aren't you?" The Dark Lord asked.
"I have been trained to be strong, My Lord." I replied, bowing with my hands now out a bit to show that I wasn't a threat.
"And these ones... they are trained as well?" I assumed he was meaning the others behind me. I hoped they were still following my lead.
"Yes, My Lord, they are trained as well" Aiken answered. It sounded like he was finally able to drag himself off the floor. He sounded out of breath though.
Silence was all that could be herd while the Dark Lord thought. In the silence I felt every pulse of magic in the room, the waves coming off from everyone being on edge. Aiken had weaker but fast pulses telling me that his body was, in fact, in fight or flight mode. Zacry had pulses only slightly weaker than my own but I felt a strain to his magic, I realized we all had that same strain... except him. The Dark Lord had surprisingly weak magic but there was something different in the air that we all could feel but I could not pin point it.
After a moment he turned and walked leisurely to the head of the long meeting table. He sat in the chair and elegantly folded his hands on the table. Then I made the mistake of glancing up. Blue eyes met red. His face pale white looked like a snake. He said nothing and I quickly looked back to the floor.
"That curiosity of yours will get you into touble Kristiana. All of you rise." He said coolly. "Come sir we shall have a meeting. Aiken tells me he has already put you through competition for ranking. The highest sits to my right and the second to my left."
I was the first to move, walking around the other end of the table, hoping it didn't seem rude. The others started to move after I had taken two steps, following my lead. I sat to his right Zac sat across from me, Jay next to me, Jerr next to Jay, and the others opposite of us accordingly. Aiken took a seat at the end on the left.
I was guessing that these were to be our assigned seats for meetings.
"Now, as I understand it, you three," the Dark Lord jestuerd to the three opposite of us "attend durmstrang correct?" The three of them nodded. "You are to speak when you are spoken to." He hissed. And there was a unified "yes my Lord" from the three of them. "Good. And you three go to Hogwarts. Which houses?"
I gulped at the question before I answered, worried about the other two. "I am in Slytherin, my Lord." I responded simply not able to look directly at him.
"I am in Gryffindor my Lord" jay responded hesitantly.
"I am in Hufflepuff my Lord." Jerr was the quietest of us all.
"Interesting... well the different houses should help. Especially you jayson. Your job is to befriend Harry Potter. I assume you know who he is yes?" Jay nodded. "Good, the rest of you are to assist. If things start to... hmmmm... shall we say go badly or no progress is made in the amount of time I wish it, you will be punished accordingly. You are all dismissed." He finished with a wave of his hand.
"Yes my lord" I was the only one to speak and the rest of them save for Aiken followed me out the door. Hopefully we didn't move too quickly.
We didn't go to our rooms. We walked out the doors of the house. I didn't know where we were going to go except that none of us felt we should be here... so we kept walking... through the graveyard... into the woods... past the wards... past the apperiation spot...
I didn't know where we were going to go. I didn't know where we were going to sleep. I didn't know what we were going to eat... but they followed me anyway. I kept walking and they kept following. We didn't have anyone to tell us where to go. Or what to do. Just this one mission. This one mission that we could not even begin untill the school term began again and it had just ended.
"What do you think happened to Aiken?" My twin brother jayson broke the silence. Not a question as the where I was going and it kind of shocked me.
"I don't know Jay, but the way we were dismissed and he knew he wasn't... it couldn't have been good." I answered as I ducked under a log glancing back to see some go over and some go under. They all seemed deep in thought.
Silence was, again, all that was herd for the next two miles. The woods continued on and on. It was getting dark now as we walked, each of us stumbleing once and a while. It was getting dark early due to the gray blanket of clouds cast over us.
We had to go somewhere... We had to do something... surely we had more of a purpose to this war...
I needed to focus on finding shelter and food and figure our purpose later.
Suddenly I tripped, stubbing my toe, landing face first into the mud on the other side of the log. As I fell I had this... vision? A flash of something across my mind like it was in front of my eyes.
I lay stunned for a moment on the ground and then scrammbled to get up.
"You ok Kriss?" A voice asked from behind me. I was in too much of a hurry to know who had spoken let alone cared.
"Everyone, hands together. I think I found something." I said abruptly and everyone fumbled to put their hands together in a mass in the center of us. "Everyone in?" I asked to make sure and as the last one said yes, I brought us to my vision... the vivid wet stone... and though I had never seen it before I felt as though I'd known it my whole life... how strange...
