Happy almost Birthday to dragoscilvio again :D And yeah, I know I've been updating once a year. I had hoped to have updated more during the year, but I had the block…I have that on a lot of my stories right now….hahahahahahaha, yeah…block -_-

A girl, human, early twenties able to take down high level demons with ease. She beat them without attacking, at least from what Botan had seen. The basic description Kurama had given was that this girl had long brown hair with a gray strip, all neatly gathered in a bun. She had been dressed up for something, according to the fox. But it was dark and they couldn't make out any other facial features.

Koenma still couldn't believe it.

"So, what are we supposed to do with her?" Yusuke asked. "I mean, not like this chick is doing anything underhanded. She's pretty much doing whatever you're ordering us to do for us."

"Where that's true," the Reikai ruler began to explain, "we still don't know anything about this human. Able to take down A class demons without even attacking? What happens if she does decide to attack? It's most likely that she would be too powerful to stop."

"Tch," Hiei scoffed. "Doubt it. She was incredibly weak. Even I could sense that."

Kuwabara shot Hiei a look of disbelief. "Was I the only one who saw her tie that demon to a tree?"

"Hn," the fire demon replied. He had seen it, but the girl was still weak. Her spirit energy was so low, though it didn't always take strength to win. But Hiei could tell just by looking at her. She wasn't a fighter, but she had fight. Whatever she did had to have been a trick, and it was not something he'd fall for.

Not ever.

Tsukiko was having a peaceful day at home, and by peaceful that meant catching up on the latest television series chowing down on a box of chocolate and taking time to write. The previous day had gone a lot different than she would have thought. After her concert, she planned on going straight home to get a night of shuteye, but the universe had other plans. On her way home, she ran into more demonic creatures that she quickly enchanted and immobilized.

Her ultimate goal was to be a good Samaritan, helping out that band of fighters she had come across before. They usually took down those evil creatures when they caused trouble, and a lot of the time they ended up hurt and in need of healing which the flying girl provided.

No, she hadn't been stalking them. She had always been drawn to the area with high spiritual activity, and they just happened to be there when she arrived. Now, her secret was out and they had seen her. She had already been done using her energy, so they wouldn't have been able to detect her if she used it again. The only way they'd fine her is if they ended up in the same location and spotted her. Maybe that was why she was choosing to stay in an order out for lunch. At least this way, she was giving it a day for it to blow over. The group was probably way too busy to search for her longer than twenty-four hours.

She didn't realize that she was basically inviting them to find her.

Kurama was trying to figure out how to locate the girl. It had already been a full day, and the others had pretty much decided to give up. After all, they lived in a huge city. Her spirit energy was barely emitting a signal when they found her, so they couldn't even track her that way. What he and Hiei could track her by was smell. Even Yusuke could if he wanted to, but the hybrid rarely used his demonic powers in human world, that is unless they were needed. Even with that, though, they needed to be close.

"Oh Shuichi, you're back," his mother greeted with a smile on her face. "You're just in time to go to the finals to an opera competition. Kazuya managed to get tickets from a woman at his office. Her daughter is in it, you know."

Kurama mentally chuckled. This wasn't the first time he caught his mother trying to set him up, and each time he always humored her. "She must be very good to make it to the finals," he replied.

"Yes, very," Shiori answered happily. "Though her mother said she had a lot of competition, from one person in particular. It will be an amazing performance."

"Indeed," the fox demon agreed, though he wasn't sure he wanted to spend so much time in a theatre instead of searching for the human girl. "Doesn't Shuuichi need someone here, though? I don't trust him to cook for himself after last time."

Shiori smiled knowingly. Over the years, she knew how to predict her son and how to get around his little loopholes. "Shuuichi is sleeping over a friend's house, so you don't need to worry. Why don't you go get changed and we'll meet Kazuya for dinner."

Kurama returned her smile and said, "Of course, mother," all while thinking, She is certainly getting better at keeping me on my toes. I can respect that.

Dinner with his mother and step-father was pleasant as always. Mostly, Kurama listened to Kazuya discussing his day with his mother. It was nice to see her so happy, and that alone made him okay with going along with her scheme to set him up. He could always politely turn the girl down.

Right after dinner, they made their way to the theatre, and Kurama met the woman from whom his step-father had gotten the tickets and her daughter, Nila. The girl was like most human girls, very kind and talkative, but she was also very bold and asked him out right away. Being watched by his mother, he took the girl's number and told her he would call with his schedule. Happily, she accepted his answer and went back stage to get ready. He neatly folded up the number and covertly put it in his pocket where he already knew it would remain for quite a while (AKA when his mother asked him if he set up a date).

They all took their seat and Kurama felt a strange sensation. The host announced the finalists before the concert began, and Kurama's eyes nearly bugged out when he saw who the first performer was, a girl the man had introduced as Tsukiko.

Standing in center stage was the girl he was searching for, and her scent definitely matched the vigilante's.

He smirked in victory.
