Power Rangers Super Samurai vs Ronin Warriors

Keep in mind that the "vs" in the title doesn't necessarily mean they'll fight each other. It's meant more in the vein of sentai teamups where the team before the versus is the "home" team and the one after it is the "visiting" team. Five years after the defeat of Xandred, a mysterious letter shows up on Jayden's doorstep, the Samurai are thrust into someone else's conflict!

34. Hell Back on Earth

Power Rangers Super Samurai vs. Ronin Warriors

Chapter 34: Hell back on Earth

It all came down to this.

The twelve-foot tall thing standing before them was all that stood between them and victory. Unfortunately, that was easier said than done. It seemed to be both Tenma and Xandred.

"Okay Jayden, just how do we beat this guy?" Mike asked.

"Very, very, carefully. I'll break out the Black Box, Kevin can use the Shark Disc, and Lauren can go Shogun Mode for starters."

Jayden, Kevin, and Lauren all assumed those indicated forms, which also caused the other Rangers to be outfitted in Mega Mode.

"What about the Mega Blades?" Emily asked.

"He's definitely got Nighlok in him, so let's try the Spin Swords and personal weapons for now," Jayden suggested.

They all slashed down together, but they were quickly shrugged off and knocked away.

"It will take more than that to stop me." Tenma's voice replied.

Meanwhile, underground…

"Everyone all right?" Yuri asked.

"Yeah," Sakura replied, switching to infrared as they took stock of the situation. "What was that?"

"Probably had something to do with Tenma's ritual going haywire because we took Jayden out of the equation," Ayame suggested.

"Don't blame me, you guys told me to rescue him, so I rescued him." Suiren pleaded.

"We're not Suiren. If anything you forced him to improvise, which could give us an advantage." Ayame explained to her.

"But first, we need to find a way out of here without making things worse." Yuri summarized. "I'm open to suggestions."

Back with the Samurai…

"BLAZING STRIKE!"

"DRAGON SPLASH!"

"AIRWAY!"

"FOREST VORTEX!"

"PRIMATE CYCLONE!"

"BARACUDA BITE!"

The Samurai attached their respective elemental Discs to their Spin Swords and slashed at Tenma/Xandred, but he parried them all with a single swing of his club before knocking them all away effortlessly, as Lauren struck with Lightning Fury, sending him back the other way.

"That tickled." It replied.

"Just out of curiosity, why are we dealing with their problem?" Mike questioned aloud.

"Well, it's half Xandred, and half Tenma I think, so I guess that makes it both our problems." Kevin surmised.

"And remember Mike, Navcase, and Sakura came to us because our enemy broke their enemy out of jail." Mia reminded him.

"I get it; I get it. Both our problems. Anyone have a bright idea on making this one go away?"

"Still a work in progress," Jayden replied.

"M.O.V.I., you still read me?" Ayame asked her VI.

"About four by 5, Chief." The V.I. rep

"Have to do. What do you make of this pile of rocks in front of us?" Ayame asked.

"Hmm…analyzing…if your big sister Yuri was to use her sure-kill attack; it might dislodge the blockage."

"Well, it's something. Oneesan, think you can Iron Rock Crusher that pile?" Ayame asked.

"Love to. Stand back!" Yuri cautioned, bringing out her naginata staff and twirling it overhead the best she could. "IRON ROCK CRUSHER!"

The shockwave tore up the ground and slammed into the boulders, knocking open a path the girls could exit through!

"Nice job Oneesan!" Ran cheered.

"Thanks, Ran, but we're not out of here yet, and those Samurai are probably in way over their heads topside."

"FIVE DISC OCTO CANNON, FIRE!" The Samurai called, firing off an attack from Lauren's Fire Smasher at the monster, as Jayden fired the Super Bullzooka at him as well.

"Your efforts are pitiful, Samurai," Tenma replied as finger-Tutting and magic symbols and circles gave way to a blast of energy from the monster's hands, knocking the Samurai off their feet and backwards.

"What was that?!" Mike asked.

"Well, Sakura did say he was a sorcerer. Let's hope that's the worst he can do." Lauren replied.

"I WILL CRUSH YOU LIKE THE INSECTS YOU ARE!" Xandred's voice bellowed, charging the Rangers and knocking them aside every which way.

Then the sudden burst of violence gave way to more careful and deliberate motions, as yet another spell was cast, levitating the Samurai in midair before slamming them into the ground repeatedly.

"Why won't this guy just make up his mind on how he wants to kill us?" Mike complained.

"Wait, what did you just say?" Lauren asked.

"I said why won't this guy make up his mind on how he wants to kill us!"

"Mike, you might be on to something!" Lauren exclaimed.

"Thanks, but how does that help us?" Mike shot back.

"I don't know yet, but it's something."

The She-Ronin had just made it out of the cave and had the Samurai in sight when a portal opened and out stepped two of the robots they had faced before along with three new ones, and a bunch of regular Grinders.

"Mou! Why can't it be too easy once in a while?!" Suiren moaned.

"Murphy's Law Suiren. 'sides, a design isn't official until Houji tries to kill us with it." Ayame reminded her.

One of the new models had wings, claws, and a scythe. Another had a large bulky arm with three buzzsaws on it and missile launchers on its back. The final one had a railgun mounted on one arm and what looked like four missile launchers on the other.

"So, how you want to handle this sis?" Yuri asked Sakura.

"Sure-kills if we have to, but I'd rather expend ammo than Chi," Sakura replied.

"Fair enough," Yuri replied, warming up her Knuckle Bomber. "I like doing things this way anyhow!"

She charged in and connected with the nearest of Houji's bots, as the other four joined in the fray shortly after.

The Samurai's time had not gone much better, as their efforts to defeat Xandred/Tenma were very hit or miss.

"Anything else we haven't tried yet?" Mia asked.

"Let's try this! SHARK SWORD STRIKE!" Kevin called out.

The blade extended outward and chomped away, but Xandred/Tenma parried all of its attacks anyway.

"Keep trying, pitiful Samurai Rangers." Xandred taunted.

Suddenly his club fell to pieces!

"WHAT?!" he bellowed.

"Nice job Kev." Jayden complimented.

"What? I don't get it." Emily asked.

"Kevin wasn't aiming for him; he was aiming for his weapon," Mia explained.

"Let's get him, guys! QUINTUPLE SWORD SLASH!"

All five Samurai Rangers flew by in the blink of an eye and struck him one by one, causing the monster to reel backward.

"That seemed to work!" Mike replied.

"Uh oh, he's casting another spell!" Mia observed.

The finger-Tutting and magic circles came to an abrupt halt, as it summoned a large nasty-looking sword.

"Weird. It's almost like Xandred and Tenma are fighting over control of his body." Jayden observed.

"I think that's exactly what's going on, little brother. The only thing is, I can't think of a way to exploit it!" Lauren confessed.

"Man, I hope those girls are having better luck than we are!" Mike wondered.

Back with the She-Ronin, they in actuality were having worse luck than the Samurai. The regular Grinders were going down smoothly, but the Super Grinders as expected were proving to be a tougher nut to crack. Compounded by the fact, there were five different ones all attacking at the same time; the girls were growing desperate, knowing the Samurai had their hands full as well.

"Okay, enough's enough. Let's vape these guys." Sakura concluded.

"Thought you'd never ask sis," Ayame said with a smile under her helmet as she brought out her bow.

"Ran, mind tying these guys up for us?" Sakura asked.

"With pleasure." She replied as she fired off her grapples and wrapped them around the bots.

"Hey sis, would you like a normal or deluxe vaping of these guys?" Ayame quipped.

"Can't afford to give them the works. Even with training, one's still my limit." Sakura replied.

"In that case, how about we hit them with two normal ones?" Ran suggested.

"We'll do that then. Suiren!" Sakura called.

"On it!" Suiren replied, rocketing into the air with her sword pointed downward. "THUNDER…BOLT…CUT!"

She slammed into the ground, causing lightning to shoot out of the ground around her, frying the robots' internals, before getting out of the way just as Ayame fired off her own sure-kill, vaporizing them.

"Let's hurry and help the Samurai. Hopefully, they're still hanging in there!" Yuri exclaimed as the five raced off in that direction.

The creature howled loudly, pushing the Samurai back with a wall of force, before electrocuting them with lightning bolts. The Rangers got a brief reprieve as Tenma seemed to assert dominance and began trying to cast a spell again, but Xandred quickly put a stop to that, charged up his sword, and slashed all six of them with a single stroke of his sword. He stood over them as they struggled to their feet when Ran landed in front of them and lunged forward, grabbing him with her man-catcher!

"Foolish little girl, you should have gone for the head." Xandred taunted.

"My thoughts exactly! ORIYA!" Yuri shouted as she slugged him right in the kisser with her Knuckle Bomber, Ran releasing him at the last second, sending him skidding across the ground.

"Miss us?" Sakura asked as the rest of the She-Ronin showed up.

"You girls are a sight for sore eyes," Jayden replied.

"Now that we're here let's break out the good stuff." Ayame nodded to her sisters.

"Add-On Hasshin!" Ayame, Yuri, Suiren, and Ran called out, as four pods dropped from the sky, landing on top of each of them, then lotus opening to reveal them with their additional armaments attached before disintegrating.

Ayame locked on with all her missiles and ripple fired them in rapid succession, all slamming into Xandred/Tenma with incredible force, but when the smoke cleared there was nary a scratch on him. Yuri next locked her cannon into her Knuckle Bomber and fired away after latching into the ground, but the attack only knocked their opponent back rather than destroying him.

"Okay, that's it!" Yuri shouted, reaching to her chest plates.

"Mike, don't look!" Emily cried, covering his visor.

Two blasts of epic proportions fired out from her chest, sending Xandred/Tenma skidding along the ground several miles before she closed them.

"What was that?" Jayden asked.

"Those were the Mega Smashers," Ayame explained.

"Let's see how you like these!" Suiren shouted, firing a flurry of shuriken from her gauntlet that exploded on contact, before letting him have it with her fully charged cannon. Ran fired a continuous blue beam at Xandred/Tenma that caused him to freeze solid, but before it could be exploited, he broke free.

"FLAMES OF THE NETHERWORLD!' he boomed, his attack hitting all of them, knocking them out of morph and even out of armor. As the battered, bruised, and bleeding heroes struggled to their feet, Tenma took over once again.

"Finally. Stubborn, arrogant bastard."

He began chanting something in a strange language, moving his hands as he did so, as a portal opened and thousands of soldiers in wicked looking armor emerged from it and formed ranks, as Nether Dragons filled the skies.

"Behold, the army of Drakka!"

Adding to the problem were hordes of Moogers, Grinders, and Super Grinders deploying from the RPM dimension.

"That is what I would consider bad," Mike commented.

"We're good, but we're not that good," Sakura replied.

"If only we had our own army…" Emily thought aloud.

"Or a Hulk," Ayame commented.

The group heard a train whistle, as railroad tracks appeared behind them. They turned around to see the Den-Liner whoosh by and after passing into yet another temporal portal, all the Heisei Riders, including Sougo as Zi-O II, Geiz as Geiz Revive and Kamen Rider Woz had assembled!

"Sorry, we're late!" Sougo announced.

"Man Zi-O! We arrive on a time-traveling train, and all you have to say is 'sorry we're late?'" Geiz grumbled.

"I admit it did take my demon king quite some time to gather all the other Heisei Riders from this world and the Crazyverse…" Woz lamented. "Oh! My demon king, Geiz-kun, the rest of our reinforcements have arrived!" he announced, pointing to a white dotted line.

Now arriving at the battlefield, now arriving at the battlefield! Please wait behind the white line!

Every single Ressha end to end flew past behind the Kamen Rider group, as everyone from Go-Onger to Kyuranger except the Goseiger arrived as well!

"Wait, isn't there another one?" Ayame asked.

"While we're on the subject, where's your samurai friend?" Kevin asked.

"Forgive our tardiness!" Navcase shouted as he accompanied by the Ryusoulgers ran up as well.

"Let's do this," Jayden called, as everyone whipped out their Samuraizers as the girls began to focus their energy.

"Samuraizer! Go Go Samurai!"

Kanji were drawn and flipped.

"Red Samurai Ranger Ready!" Jayden and Lauren announced as their suits appeared.

"Blue Samurai Ranger Ready!" Kevin followed suit.

"Pink Samurai Ranger Ready!" Mia followed.

"Green Samurai Ranger Ready!" Mike continued.

"Yellow Samurai Ranger Ready!" Emily added.

"Gold Samurai Ranger Ready!" Antonio finished, just as the She-Ronin finished their basic armor-up.

Sousuke was about to begin the roll calls when…

"REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEJOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICE!" Woz started to proclaim. "We Riders, Super Sentai Members, Power Rangers, and original characters from an extremely old anime series have assembled to do battle on a scale never seen before! Smiles will be protected! Souls will be awakened! We must fight, or we will not survive! Dreams will be protected! The trump card of fate will be drawn! We will find our beat! We shall walk the path of heaven and rule over all! We will be on a climax from start to finish and wake up and break the chains of destiny! The passing-through Kamen Rider is here, and he is paging someone!"

Tsukasa clipped a fancy-looking pager to his belt as it continued to connect, displaying a familiar red and black logo as Woz continued his proclamation.

"We will count up your sins! Lend a helping hand to all we can reach! We will settle things man-to-man! It is showtime and our stage now! We will go for a ride in top gear! Our lives shall burn bright, and we shall do it with no continues! The laws of victory will be decided! We shall press down the road of justice, authorized by Providence! We shall make things showier than ever before! The Busters are ready to go! The strongest Braves in history are about to get wild, just try and stop them! The Victorious Imagination is departing at full speed ahead! The ninja that never hide in the Crazyverse are ready to rampage! The Jyuohger will show you not to underestimate this planet!"

"Hey, Woz…" Geiz said

"My Word! The galactic saviors with incredible luck are here! Here is an advanced notice! By the power vested in them by the Global Police, the Patorangers will deal with you by force!"

"Um, Woz?" Sougo asked.

"Also, behold a knight's chivalry, as the last Super Sentai of the Heisei Era swears by their flashing swords down the battle road!"

"WOZ!" the two shouted.

"Yes, my demon king?"

"Do you realize you've been proclaiming for the PAST FIVE HOURS!?" Geiz shouted.

"In my defense, Geiz-kun, we were not attacked in those five hours."

"Oh well, Kamen Riders CHARGE!" Sougo shouted as they rushed forward to meet the enemy.

"Super Sentai, attack!" Marvelous said, snapping his fingers.

"Friends together!" the Rangers called.

"SAMURAI FOREVER!" the Samurai and She-Ronin called as they charged as well.

A massive melee broke out as weapons of all kinds struck against each other. In one corner, Shinnosuke, Terui, and the Patorangers were taking down enemies left and right. The band of showy pirates the Gokaiger, and the phantom thieves sturring up a storm left an advanced notice of their showiness and went on the attack.

"Gokai Change!" they called out.

Boukenger!

They struck with a series of Bouken finishers before joining the Lupinranger in a firing line of finishers.

"Hey, Den-O! Can we team up with you?" Right asked.

"No! I'm not working with any stupid kidults…" Momo began to complain before his hand somehow touched the purple button on his belt.

Gun Form

"I'll fight with you!" Ryutaros celebrated.

The ToQgers brought out their team cannon, and Ryutaros helped out with a Full Charge that took out even more of Tenma/Xandred's army.

"Us space guys need to stick together!" Gentaro said, going over to shake the hands of all the Kyurangers.

"Gentaro, you can befriend them all later! Right now we've got fighting to do!" Ryuusei reminded him.

"Ossu!"

Gentaro, Ryuusei, and the Kyurangers launched into a pile of Tenma's army and tore them to pieces hand to hand before firing off a Super Electromagnetic Shoot and an All-Star Crash from their Seiza Blasters.

"So let me get this straight, you guys have swords, but only one of you really uses it?" Melt asked as he and his team joined the Kyoryugers in thinning the herd.

"Yup, only Souji really uses his sword, and Utchy, but that's all he has," Daigo explained. "Let's waste these guys!"

The Kyoryugers spun the cylinders on the Gaburevolvers while the Ryusoulgers loaded their spare RyuSouls into their swords.

Red/Blue/Pink/Green/Black!

Sore! Sore! Sore! Sore! Sono chōshi!

Vamola!

"Dino Slash!" the five shouted.

"Zyuden Brave Finish!" the Kyoryugers shouted.

Ken Bom!

Both sets of attacks slammed into more of Tenma/Xandred's coalition of Drakka's soldiers and Ranger henchmen and caused a massive explosion.

The gathered force of Nether Dragons breathed fire down on the good guys, knocking them off their feet but not out of henshin.

"Girls, we've got to deal with those guys somehow. I'll help out the best I can on foot with Ran. " Sakura replied.

"On it!" Ayame declared, as a pod dropped in from orbit and unpacked into a gateway.

I.J. rolled out first, followed by Toratsume, which Yuri and Suiren quickly boarded as a speck of light was seen in the distance as Himeihoshi arrived soon after.

"Let me tell you something bubs! I'm going to tear you all into bite-sized pieces with my claws. RAWR!" Toratsume declared.

"Wait, you can talk now?" Suiren gasped.

"Yeah, Ayame finally gave me a personality. It's about frigging time too! I think I'll take my frustrations out about it on those damned dragons!" he shouted as he accelerated suddenly, forcing Suiren back in her seat.

"STRIKE LASER CLAW!" Toratsume shouted, leaping into the air and launching a claw swipe on one of the Nether Dragons, taking it out.

Himeihoshi fired a salvo of missiles at one of the Nether Dragons, sending it crashing to the ground in flames when he noticed another one opening its mouth and about to fire.

"Well, it worked for Stark, should work for me!" Himeihoshi said aloud.

"Himeihoshi, I don't know how good an idea that is…" Ayame replied.

"TRANSFORM!"

He quickly shifted into his robot mode and rocketed forward into the mouth, bisecting the monster from the inside with his plasma spear and unloading missiles into it as well.

"Wow, I guess dragons are more vulnerable on the inside!" Himeihoshi exclaimed. "Don't ask how I knew that."

"Are you done showboating now? Because there are more Nether Dragons out there and we might get called in for some Close Air Support!" Ayame scolded.

"Relax, my bros have that under control…" Himeihoshi reminded her.

"TAKE THAT! AND THAT! AND THAT!" Toratsume shouted.

"Toratsume, I think fifteen slashes is more than enough!" Suiren scolded.

"You're just upset that I'm no longer your silent partner…"

"Wow, what a fight!" Emily exclaimed.

"Well, it's all for nothing if we can't get to Tenma, Xandred, or whatever he is and take him out." Jayden reminded them.

"But he's surrounded by all these small fries, how are we ever going to get through all them!"

"Relax! Smile Smile!" Saki said as she and her fellow female Sentai members all ran up.

"We'll help you take asses and kick names!" Kotoha replied. "Wait, that came out wrong…"

"Anyway, we'll lead the way for you!" Amy explained in English.

The girls charged out ahead and shot and slashed foot soldiers back, attempting to clear a corridor, as the Samurai charged on forward as the Sentai girls did what they could to hold their lines like the Red Sea, but it closed in on them and soon One the Samurai were helping the Sentai dig themselves out.

"Now what?!" Mike exclaimed in desperation.

That was when they heard the sound of a motorcycle, which began to plow its way through the foot soldiers, stopping at Tenma/Xandred as a slack-jawed older man in a leather jacket got off and went on the attack.

"Hey, Woz, who's that guy beating up that boss kaijin?" Sougo inquired as he used his twin swords to cut down nearby grunts.

"I can't believe it!" Woz gasped in shock after taking one look. "I never thought I would ever see one in the flesh! One of the legendary Showa Riders! THIS MUST BE PROCLAIMED!" Woz announced. "RE…"

That was as far as Woz got before both Sougo and Geiz tackled him.

"You're not bad old man." Tenma/Xandred replied as he managed to push back his opponent.

"Hmph. I was just warming up." He replied, as an unusual buckle appeared at his waist and he held one arm at his side and crossed the other in front of him.

"RAIDAAAAAAA…HENSHIN!"

The plate on his belt buckle opened up revealing a turbine, which began spinning and transforming him into…

"Kamen Rider…Ichigou!"

An Instrumental of Let's Go Rider Kick began playing as he went on the attack against Tenma/Xandred, landing punch after punch on him before leaping into the air with a "Toh!"

"RAIDAAAAAAA…KICK!"

The attack sent Tenma/Xandred skidding across the ground as Ichigou landed dramatically, right to the Samurai Rangers.

Taking a chance, Lauren attached the Shiba Fire Disc to her Fire Smasher, and it was able to transform to Cannon Mode, as the elemental disks including Genta's were loaded and Jayden readied the Super Bullzooka.

"It's over! Five-Disc Shiba Cannon, fire!"

Both attacks slammed hard into Tenma/Xandred, as he exploded.

"Samurai Rangers," Jayden started,

"Victory is ours!" Lauren finished.

Their commander down, the Drakka soldiers and Grinders beat feet back to where they came from, as everyone cheered. The remaining Nether Dragons flew back to the Netherworld as well.

"Oo-ah-oo! I lucked out again!" Octoroo celebrated, but he soon found his diminutive form with the Samurai Rangers and She-Ronin standing over him with weapons drawn.

"Unless you want Antonio to turn you into fried octopus, I would go back to the Netherworld if I were you," Jayden suggested.

Octoroo wasted no time hobbling his way through the nearest Gap.

Some time later, the Samurai Rangers gathered to see the She-Ronin off at Panorama City Airport's noncommercial terminal.

"Thanks for the help, ladies. We couldn't have done it without you." Jayden summarized.

"Well, you could have, but it would have been ten times harder," Sakura explained.

"Not to mention ten times as boring!" Suiren chimed in.

"Ayame, why didn't the other Seishi show up?" Emily asked out of the blue.

"It was too expensive to hire actors for them AND have all the guest stars come back one more time." She explained. "You wouldn't want to know what we went through to get Hiroshi Fujioka just to appear."

"Ayame, could you please stop breaking the fourth wall?" Yuri scolded.

"It was very educational sparring with Navcase," Kevin said.

"He says you're welcome, and you need to work on your forms a bit more." Ran translated.

"Hai, Shishou!" Kevin replied with a bow.

"Well, for one thing, I'll miss our daily trips to the beach!" Mia replied, hugging Sakura and Suiren.

"You're welcome. I had a great time too!" Suiren exclaimed.

"Well, we better get going. See you around Shiba." Sakura replied extending her hand.

"Likewise. Have a safe trip back."

"Bye guys!" Mia waved after them.

"Don't be strangers!" Mike added.

"Keep your skills and minds sharp!" Kevin called.

"Stop by every once in a while for some of my fish!" Antonio added.

"We'll miss you!" Emily finished.

The seven stood by the giant glass window as the G5 sent by Osaki Defensive Industries sent to retrieve them taxied to the runway, shot down It, and lifted into the sky.

This Brings our Story to a Close.

The G5 carrying the She-Ronin back to Japan was well on its way. Inside the cabin, Ran was watching surfing videos, Sakura was cleaning her swords, Yuri was reading a bodybuilding magazine and Suiren was completely zonked out on the couch, snoring away.

"Ayame, what are you doing?" Sakura asked as she noticed her twin creeping over to their snoring middle sister.

"I'm going to prove once and for all to Ms. 'Oh no, I don't snore' that she does…" Ayame replied, aiming her phone at Suiren and pressing record.
