Mike
I pace outside Donnie's lab. He won't let me in to see what he's doing. To see if there is any progress. I can't believe it! She's alive! I had actually lost all hope, seeing as how it had been a week. And she's not being tortured as well as I know. So that's another good thing. Knowing that she's alive and relatively fine is all I need. I've got a new pep in my step and am happy and ready to go in and save her. I just have to know where she is first.
The others are a lot more energetic now, too. Even Don has started taking slices of pizza into his lab to eat while he searches for her. He still doesn't sleep, but he rarely did that before anyway. Raph is back to angry, though. Which is good. I didn't like seeing him that extra step. It was scary but I was too angry to realize it at the time. He's gone to punching and growling at everyone and everything, and if we're all being honest, it makes us smile to see him so angry.
Leo has even stopped going on all day patrols and Splinter has started us up on training again. Donnie has special permission not to join us as he looks, but Splinter says he has to be a good turtle boy and eat his food and get at least five hours sleep in return. Don doesn't care. Like I said; we're all just happy to know she's alive.
Leo has been taking me aside to meditate and we've been trying to reach her like Splinter had. He told us that he got through and that she was fine, but we couldn't believe it. It's not that we don't trust Master Splinter or that we didn't want her to be fine. It's just that we needed to see her and talk to her. And I know it's helped me greatly.
Everyone is still stressed, don't get me wrong. But now it just feels like we're getting ready for a vacation than a funeral. And Don is the most stressed cause he has to make all the travel arrangements. And Raph is the most angry because he didn't get to pick our destination - he'd of much rather that Lexi was staying at a friend's house with memory loss than in the Shredder's guest bedroom. And Leo is the most worried because he fears what we'll find when we get there. And Splinter is the most calm because he has faith that everything will be alright. But I'm the most excited. I'm going to see Lexi again.
