Through gossip of customers and from the streets, Gendry found out about the Red Wedding. He was shocked to hear that Arya's brother and mother had been brutally murdered and so had the unborn child that her brother's wife had carried. He could only imagine the pain and devastation that Arya was going through. Had she sought comfort in Anguy's arms or had she abandoned the Brotherhood Without Banners? Without drawing attention to himself, he found out that no daughters of Ned Stark had been at the Red Wedding. That gave him some relief knowing that Arya was still alive. Where was she? Would she look for him? Should he look for her? So many questions ran through his mind, as he worked over the hot coals forming a horseshoe. He decided to stay where he was. He recalled the list of names that she chanted before going to sleep. The top of the list had been King Joffrey. Eventually Arya would come to where Gendry was, to avenge her family. For now he would remain.

A while later the news of Joffrey's murder by poison, both relieved and disappointed Gendry. Rumour had it that Arya's sister, Sansa Stark had been the one to murder the King. He wasn't sure if he believed that, but wished that Joffrey had been killed a little more violently. (There was a whisper that in another land, live dragons existed. Could be that was just said to scare children to behave.) But he wished a dragon had bit Joffrey's head off, that would have been much more satisfying. Now that Joffrey's brother was the new King, it seemed that the hunt for bastards of Robert Baratheon, had lessened. He would remain cautious, since he was not a supporter of the Lannister Banner. Rumour also said that Sansa Stark had fled and couldn't be found. Gendry was glad, if there was any truth to that. Seemed that Arya had few blood family members alive these days. She had taught him to never give up and to survive against all odds. He hoped that one day in the future, they'd meet up again.

Back in Braavos, Arya found out from one of the gang members, that Joffrey was dead. She was amazed at how easily information was obtained by their group. Arya smiled, her kill list was getting smaller. The Tickler who had been the main torturer at Harrenhal had been killed by Jaqen H'ghar, as was Armory Lorch. Polliver who had stolen Needle and took the life of her friend, she killed. The Hound she'd left to die on the rocks. King Joffrey had been poisoned. So those that remained were: The Hound's brother; Cersei who had ordered Sans'a dire-wolf killed, which also resulted in Arya having to send away Nymeria her wolf; Twywin LanisterSer because he was the Lannister Patriarch and probably the brains behind making Joffrey king; Ilyn Payne, who'd beheaded her father; and finally the witch Melisandre who took Gendry away from her. No one yet had been added to the list, since.

Currently Arya was learning liquid poisons, "there are so many kinds and uses! How do you remember it all?"

"Years of memorization and use. Personally I picture in my mind what the poison looks like and how a person dies from it. It helps the memory."

"Do you even know the poisons that don't kill? Like the ones that just make you sick?" Arya asked with real curiosity.

"Not me. The true potions master among us is Byt. Her great grand-parents were from the Alchemists's Guild and she worked for a family friend that was a chemist of potions, before joining us. She knows stuff that heals you faster, kills slower, even can make you seem dead to everyone, but you're still alive. She was called a witch in her old town. She claims there's nothing magical about her knowledge, but sometimes even Taron wonders if that's true. Simply, you don't piss her off."

"She's definitely someone to keep as a friend and not an enemy," Arya agreed in awe.

"Most of us wouldn't even bother learning the basics of poisons, because we'd just ask her. But Taron insists on everyone knowing a little."

"Does he know much about poisons?"

"More than the rest of us. Still if an order comes in for a potion, he has Byt create it. Taron prices it and is the only one seen to sell it. Other than us, no one outside of our guild knows that she's the one who makes the stuff."

"Safer for her I guess," Arya mused. "I guess she knows then how King Joffrey died?"

"Probably." The discussion ended when Taron nodded for Arya to follow him.

"What's up?" Arya asked.

"It's time we test your pick-pocket skills." He ran and jumped on to some stacked hay bales, then on to a roof building.

Arya followed him, almost with as much ease as Taron. They leaped from roof to roof and came to a stop near one of the ports. "A new ship has come in. See what you can pick. If you get caught, this time you're on your own."

Before taking action, she scanned the area, seeing multiple escape options. With a short nod, she dropped down to the ground. Taron's eyes narrowed as he watched her make her way over to the targeted area. He could see where her hands went, but only a trained eye would. A grin graced his lips. She'd finally graduated from training. He sent a whistle piercing the air and saw the signal received by Sarra and Byt. They would pass it on, knowing it meant tonight they would celebrate their newest member's upgraded status.

"This is all I could get, without being noticed," Arya said, reporting back to Taron.

"Nice haul." He took a few of the coins and then said, "the rest you keep or use, you've earned it."

Arya smiled, "did I graduate?"

He nodded and his hand rubbed her head, tossing her hair. "Yup. Tonight's gonna be a party."

"Has anyone ever been tossed out of your street guild?"

"Hardly ever," he replied. "Go on, have some fun." He disappeared around a corner and was gone, before she could ask any more questions.

Benn was the first one to congratulate her. "You've graduated faster than a lot of us, just don't turn into a smart-ass. Arrogance gets you killed."

"Thanks and I won't."

He noticed that this was the first time he'd seen her smile actually reach her eyes. With a wink, Benn continued on his way. "See you later," he said as he left.

Arya wanted to get some new cloths, like Sarra had suggested. Then a bath was needed. "Want to go shopping with me?"

Sarra nodded, "let's get you some cloths the you can show off that you're a woman."

As they checked out what the merchants had to offer, Arya saw leather pants that she liked. Not having enough money or jewellery to barter with, she decided to save to get them. In the end Sarra had her get a corset that could be worn under a shirt or just by itself. Arya also got a skirt that was out of a material that even her sister Sansa would've been jealous of.

"Come, I'll take you to the woman's bath. Byt gave me something, she said it will make you smell like a delicate flower, while making your hair look great once dry."

"Thank you… for everything." Arya said with genuine warmth.

"I think of you as a sister," Sarra smiled. "Anyway since you've graduated, you're one of us now, part of our street family."
