They both were a little broken and scarred. Hunted by nightmares, by memories. But they overcame them together. With a little bit of help from God. Just an acceptance that's all they needed. They learnt how to be themselves without feeling guilty.

But their relationship wasn't always soft and delicate. Sam was a hunter. He was brutal and strong- an unstoppable force fighting to save lifes and kill monsters. And Gabriel, well he was the Heaven's most powerful weapon. Dangerous element of nature with ability to smite cities and bring back to life.

Their relationship was all kinds of things. Sweet and careful hands tracing Gabe's back. Elegant hands gripping long hazelnut hair. Gasps and moans filling the hot air. Black tattoo rubbing against strong chest. Lips locked in some wild dance. Biting, licking, sucking. Fist full of golden feathers.

Oh those feathers.

Those sensitive feathers.

Three pairs of majestic wings. Oh how much he loved them. Just to let his fingers rest against them. Griping them, smoothing them and tracing every little feather. Like his own personal heaven.

But what the nerdy side of Sam liked the most was that they reflected Gabriel's emotions. So when archangel was sad wings were hanging low without their usual sparkle. When he was angry he was looking like angry cat with his wings opened all the way and ruffled golden feathers. He was jealous every time someone looked at his Sam the wrong way so his wings, invisible to public's eye, were closing hunter in some sort of cocoon keeping him warm and comfortable.

First couple of weeks of being together were hard. All because of Dean. They had some cases one after another so Sam had to sleep with his older brother in the same room. It wasn't bad, he was used to it but now he had a secret relationship and he really really wanted it to stay secret.

So Gabe visited him in his dreams. It was both magical and romantic and Sammy loved every second of it. Waking up the first time after date in the dream realm, or so he liked to call it that, was kind of sad and disappointing experience. Then he found one golden feather next to his head.

He took it with him on a hunt.

Maybe it was stupid but he the thought of having part of his lover with him was making him feel stronger.

He was grinning like an idiot all day.

It became a tradition between them. Meeting in the dream and waking up with single feather. It lasted till Dean figured out that something wasn't right and then he walked in on them making out in the sofa.

So Sam was in love with Gabriel. He adored each part of him and he couldn't get enough. Long time ago he was in the dark, scared and trapped but now he has light, shinning in the darkness and guiding him through his life and he can't really say no to it.
