As they continued their journey, unconsciously Arya was leading them more west than south. It was Gendry who noticed first. "Are we going to Harrenhall?"

"No, why?" She replied.

"I might be wrong, but I think if we keep going this way, we'll be eventually seeing it on the distant horizon."

Arya stopped her horse and turned to look at Aulix. "Is he right?"

"Nothing in the sky for me to link with, but as soon as I can confirm I let you know. Before that we should see the King's Road. If we get that far then we'll know for sure. Either way doesn't matter to me." He had his horse walk forward and pass hers.

Gendry tried to joke about it, "think of this journey as a reminder of our past… I left there with you, got brought back by the Red Witch and left again, only to return now."

She flashed him a lopsided smile, "maybe you should be it's owner."

He laughed, "few know my blood and we don't know if they're alive…. other than the Red Witch. But if she's there, you want her off your list right?"

"To Harrenhal!" Arya agreed enthusiastically.

They rode side by side, Aulix napped on his horse, since he'd been awake most of the night. Arya chatted with Gendry, but even that ended, then she became introverted. Gendry was checking out the scenery. He hadn't been outside of the Saltpans area for years. Some things had changed, other things looked the same.

Arya asked Aulix, "do you think the Red Witch is why I had the shakes? Could she be what I saw, but now can't recall?"

"It's possible, do you remember what you dreamt about last night?" He asked, not opening his eyes.

"It wasn't images, but more like I was chasing someone… maybe it's wishful thinking. Like I'm dreaming about running her down and slashing her throat!"

"Maybe. We'll figure it out, if you have any more dreams like that. Try to remember it."

The rest of the day was uneventful and even after the sun set, they continued on, since the moon was bright. When a little forest appeared, they stopped to let the horses eat and rest. No fire tonight, but they ate cheese and some fruit. This was the same for the next few days. Time seemed to run into itself, except for Arya's inner sight. She clearly could tell she was chasing someone in the dreams. To her, it had to be the Red Witch, but Aulix wasn't so sure. Now that Gendry was always by her side, Arya was fixated on the people of the kill list.

The sky was clear, not a cloud anywhere. Gendry was standing in his stirrups, to stretch without dismounting. He saw the crow, before the others. "Aulix can you connect with that to see where we are?"

They looked up and followed the direction of his pointed finger. Arya asked, "is it carrying a message or wild?"

Aulix was already mentally gone, so didn't answer until returning. "It's wild and we're still too far to see Harrenhal, but I think Gendry's right, since there's more forest and rocks in the direction we're travelling."

"So you still think those dreams are about you hunting down the Red Witch?" Gendry asked.

"Yes. The others on my list would be at Kings Landing, or surrounding area. No reason for anyone but her to be in this area."

"That's not something you, nor I can predict. Don't let your blood lust, over run logic and blind you to reality."

Arya didn't reply to Aulix's warning, but even if she didn't take it seriously, Gendry did. "Over confidence can get a person dead. I think we should just take those dreams' suggestions to you, with some caution. Maybe you're dreaming of a fox hunting a field mouse."

"Maybe," Arya sighed. Then added cheekily, "I'd rather dream about you."

Gendry laughed, "you don't have to dream, when I'm right here whenever you want me."

Unknown to his travelling companions, Aulix had kept a partial mental link with the crow. This allowed him to see into the mind of the bird and it's memories. It also let him tap into the third eye, which they all had, just in varying degrees. Only one person knew of this ability of his and that was Taron. Before they had created the street guild in Braavos, others had tried to force Aulix to use his powers in war. They weren't the first and wouldn't be the last, in trying to control him. They had tortured Taron, to the brink of death, but he never said a word about Aulix. That solidified their loyalty to each other. No one knew this, not even Arya. She was the only woman, who'd been allowed close to either of them, to know some of their skills. That feeling of the brink of chaos, that she felt from Aulix, was that ability to tap into the third eye.

What he learned from that crow made him want to leave and ride north. But if Arya was about to battle Melisandre, if she was indeed the witch with power from the Lord of Light, he needed to stay and assist. Being torn between his promise to Taron to keep Arya safe and the need to investigate, ate at him all through their meager meal. Without saying anything, he took the saddle and bridle off his horse, then got on. The horse lunged forward into a run.

Startled Gendry asked, "is there some danger? What's going on?"

Arya sighed, "that's just Aulix. You'll get use to his odd behaviour. Don't worry, if we have trouble and need his help, he'll be here. Now stop thinking about him and come join me by the fire," she said taking off her clothes.

It was an hour or so later, when they heard Aulix return. He collected some wood and put it on the fire, before lying down beside it. Arya and Gendry were still making love. At first his mind was pre-occupied, just as it had been before, so he was unable to relax. He glanced their way and his eyes, met the lusty ones of Arya. The way the fire reflected off his, made him seem other-worldly… the way she imagined a God would look. She broke the connection first.

Gendry had one of her legs over his arm, using his hands to lift her ass, to meet his thrusts. She didn't want him to come quickly and using a move taught by Sarra, she put him on his back. Repositioning, Arya moved on top of him, slowly building the deeper need. Knowing that Aulix was watching now, sent a dark and yet exhilarating electrical charge through her. Even though he never moved and made no sign that she had his attention. It was like Aulix was tapped into her mind, just to feel the euphoria Arya did. The slapping sound of her skin slamming down onto Gendry, the harshness of her short breaths, as all senses focused on achieving climax. Even the fire seemed to burn brighter and higher, as she pulled Gendry further inside of her. Unable to resist, Gendry's abs contracted as he lifted himself off the ground, so that him mouth could make contact with her breasts. He used one hand to prop himself up, while the other found it's way between them to her go button. As her body hit his fingers, Arya flung back her head and gave voice to the incredible feeling that exploded through her. It wasn't a scream, it was more like an animalistic roar. She let Gendry move them again and Arya finished him with her mouth. They lay panting together, beside the fire. Not even the bugs bothered the pair.

By the time Arya looked back at Aulix, she saw that he was sleeping. Had this love making been so intense because of Aulix watching or just the fact they were outside and she could be however she'd wanted? Before they got too sleepy, both Gendry and Arya got dressed again. Then they too closed their eyes, sleeping in each other's arms. It wasn't until the sun was about to rise for a new day, that the vision-dream came to her again. Right after it ended, she woke up and found Aulix watching her.

"I am definitely chasing a person, with the intent to kill. Why I'm not loosing an arrow to do it and running them down I don't know. And I'm not on horseback."

"Interesting… you slept longer this time. I think your release last night helped. You don't have to worry about getting those body shakes anymore."

She didn't ask him why he knew that, because he probably wouldn't answer. Instead Arya asked, "did you find anywhere to let the horses drink, when you left last night?"

"Yeah, there is a small stream half a day's ride from here. We'll get going once he wakes up."

Gendry stretched. "I'm awake. Let me take a piss and then eat something." He got up and gave Arya's cheek a kiss, before walking to the other side of the rocks to relieve himself.

Once more their journey continued. Arya noted, "that crow is back again. Is that because you decided to keep it around a few days?"

Aulix smirked, "something like that."
