Going to Dragonstone would be Aulix, Taron, Aegerys, Arya, Gendry, Tam, Rayanna, Tallen, Kiren and Daeron. The main fleets both from Braavos and Mereen would head to King's Landing. The dragon under Aulix's request, would fly first to King's Landing and then to Dragonstone. Drogon had transported Aegerys and the others chosen to fight Queen Sansa and the Night King to the ships in Braavos, once the fleet from Mereen was the same distance from landing in Westeros, as it would take the Braavos fleet to get there too. At first it was one month separated them all from the ice war. Then tension began to build, as word was received via raven, that the Mereen fleet could see Sharp Point. They would make land at Rosby, to allow the majority of the army to get off the ships, before the huge war broke out. However the fleet was prepared to fight right away, if the horde met them at the shoreline. Drogon's fire would be the catalyst of the war at King's Landing. That would also allow the army to be the distraction the group going to Dragonstone would need, in order to make land there too.

"I think Bran might assist us in the fight against the Night King," Arya announced, after a crow landed on her arm. "Taron did you see anything?"

"Aulix has been in contact with your brother. It is true Bran Stark will join us in battle, but in what way, I have no idea."

Tam added, "it won't be long before the main fleet reaches Rosby."

Everyone looked up at the sky and to the south, seeing a spec, that was Drogon flying to meet the Mereen fleet. They were scared, but ready to fight and eager to be off the ships.

"How are we going to know when to go after the Night King? King's Landing is too far for us to even see a signal fire." Rayanna questioned the plan.

"Aulix will tell us and don't bother asking how he'll know," Gendry replied.

"I already know that answer Dad," Rayanna rolled her eyes.

"Isn't she scared of what's ahead?" Aegerys asked Kiren.

"Don't let her face fool you, she's terrified like the rest of us. But like mom, she's good at hiding her true feelings." Kiren explained.

"That's good to know. I'll remember that for when this is all over."

The adults called the kids closer and they went over their tactical plan. In the end the adults, Kiren, Tallen and Rayanna would clear the way for Aegerys to get to the Night King for the final fight. Before they knew it, Aulix sent Taron the signal to begin things on their end. As they made land, not a single wight came at them. No one knew if that was because some other trap was set or if the battle at King's Landing was working as the perfect distraction.

Just outside of King's Landing, in Rosby, the army was departing ships, while Drogon's flame kept the horde at bay. The lines were formed, with everyone armed. The first two lines were in front of the archers. Both lines had locked their shields and their dragonglass tipped pikes occupied the space around them. Even their helmets had spikes of dragonglass. Gendry had outdone himself, trying to utilize every defensive possibility for protection against the wights. The archers were organized so that when the front line ran out of arrows, the line behind would step forward. Most of them wore plate mail or leather to create a bite-proof body suit. For those not in the archery line, shields also added an extra layer of protection. Every single living person there, whether on the ships or land, had some form of dragonglass for defence. Quietly they waited, and it was an eerie silence. The blizzard of snow, made it hard to see even a few yards ahead. Only Drogon's flame blasts could be seen, like lightning in the sky. If you strained your eyes, brief glimpses of the massive wight force, sent impulses of fear through their brains. It was when Drogon lit up four areas on the outside of the living army, that they knew he would leave for Dragonstone castle.

Aulix had Drogon bugle and then the catapults launched the wildfire pots. Greenish flame roared forth, giving perfect cover for the dragon to leave. It was also when Aulix sent his signal to Taron. He looked back before they flew too far. He could see the catapults of flaming pitch bombs. That meant the boats were also firing the bucket catapults with the sharp dragonglass shards, that were the perfect killing method for long distance. He was partially linked to a crow and saw the archers raining down the arrows on the horde. He was long out of range when the claws of the wights scratched against the steel of the shields, the screeching sound tormented the living, but they stood fast.

Drogon flew quickly and it didn't take them long to arrive at Dragonstone. Suddenly all the wights on the island threw ice shafts at the dragon. The breast plate created by Gendry made them ineffective for the most part. This fight too, would distract the Night King, so the selected group could get into the castle. Even so Taron, Arya, Gendry, Tam, Rian and the kids were finding it hard to move forward. There were just so many bodies piling up, that they had to crawl up and over at some doorways. Aegerys bit back a yelp, when his hand landed on half rotted- half frozen flesh, as he climbed into the next room.

"The only good thing about all this mess, is that the cold keeps the smell of the dead from choking us," Kiren grumbled.

Rayanna snickered nervously, but said nothing. She wasn't sure if she was glad to be able to see now, since Drogon's flame lit up the castle. The wights were way worse than any nightmare her imagination had created as a little kid. Terror ran through her veins when suddenly DeathFyre got lit, with it's blood red flame, not even two feet in front of her. Had they found the Night King? It took all her skill to not fall under the wights hands as they attacked.

Rian had a cold shiver run the course of his body, but it wasn't from the freezing temperature. The clawing dead hands that tried to find purchase on his leather clothing, wasn't as terrifying as the snapping mouths. Just when he tripped and the wights jumped at the chance to take him down, the horde stopped and all ran to the windows. Rian panted as he scrambled to Kiren's side.

"What's happening?" Tam shouted at Arya.

"They're all attacking Drogon. One of the ice lances pierced through his wing. Aulix got him to land and cut the breast plate off, so Drogon would be lighter and could fly away."

"Does Aulix need help?"

"No. Taron has gone to him, we stay focused on getting Aegerys through this shit and to the Night King!"

Gendry disobeyed his wife and rushed to help Taron. He saw the moment when the wights swarmed the dragon and it's scream as the Night King sent a large ice shaft into the dragon's neck. Gendry's eyes grew large as he saw the dragon's eyes go ice blue. He arrived by Aulix and Taron's side.

"How will we stop Drogon the dead dragon, from killing us all?" Gendry shouted, not caring that his voice quaked with fear.

"Try to keep the wights off Aulix!" Taron commanded.

"What's he doing?"

Taron answered in a curt tone, "warging the new ice dragon."

"Can he even DO that?" Gendry asked, not expecting an answer and not getting one.

What not even Taron knew, was that Bran Stark was using the third eye, to link with Aulix, adding that power to warg the dragon. Taron did feel, that Aulix was taking some of his life force, to supplement his power. Gendry's shield, that had been made from blood and dragon fire, gave minimum protection for the ice fire. The dragon under the Night King's power, thrashed around, as it fought the warging. It was only when Aegerys found the Night King in the throne room, did the dragon finally succumb to the warg power of Aulix (and Bran).

Taron with his dragonglass daggers and Gendry with a valerian steel sword, attacked Drogon the dead. Beyond all possibility, together they killed him, never to fly or breath ice fire again. When they looked back to Aulix, to their horror, he didn't look to be breathing. Taron bent down to check, but he already knew the answer.

"He's dead, it took all his life force to warg the dragon! I won't leave him, so you can go to Arya if you want. I'll die with him if I need to!" Taron had tears that formed icicles on his face, as he mourned his friend.

"I'll stay. If I let you die, she'll kill me anyway," Gendry tried feebly at a joke.

They heard Aegerys roar, it almost sounded like a dragon, and so they knew that he was about to clash with the Night King. They hoped that the young king would win, or this last stand would mean even in death they'd be slaves.

In the throne room, Aegerys stood as he'd trained endlessly to do. His sword's blood red flame, lit the room with an surreal glow. The Night King said nothing, facing his opponent with no expression on his ice face. The King of the wights, had a sword made of ice. When their blades met, there was no ring from steel on steel. The ice sword had a bluish glow, not quite a flame. As expected he knew how to use a sword.

Arya had to face down her dead sister, Queen Sansa. Even though she knew her sister was controlled by the Night King, it still hurt to fight her. It felt like a knife through her heart, when she decapitated her sister. Arya didn't have a chance to mourn the moment, as the wights renewed their attack against her and the kids.

While their King fought for the living, Arya, Kiren, Tam, Rian, Tallen, Daeron and Rayanna worked to keep the wights from attacking him from behind. They were loosing the battle. Each of them limped from the death bites and their arms were sore from swinging their dragonglass swords. Arya had long since launched all the dragonglass weapons she had and was fighting with just a valyrian sword and the same steel of two daggers. She managed to launch one dagger at the Night King, it hit him in the shoulder, but he didn't stop moving. It did however anger him. The down slash of his ice sword onto Deathfyre, caused the ice sword to break. As the Night King grabbed for his daggers, King Aegerys drove his sword through the Ice King's chest and at the same time Rayanna lopped off his head with her dragonglass sword.

The war ended instantly as the Night King shattered into millions of little ice shards. Everyone stood still in shock, their brains uncomprehending that it was finally over. The wights all had collapsed. Slowly, carefully, because they still didn't believe it was finally over, the group left the throne room and found their way to the courtyard. They found Taron and Gendry, kneeling on the ground, exhaustion now overriding the last of the adrenaline.

Arya screamed, "Aulix NO! How did he die?"

"It took all of him to warg Drogon. The dragon had fallen into the Night King's control." Taron calmly explained. "He's still alive partially in me, as I carry half his soul. So he'll never truly be gone until I am."

"Is that why you're not devastated like us?" Arya almost accused.

"It still hurts, but I've known how he'd die since he brought me back to life. He's son to the Lord of Light, sent to be among us to help keep balance. More than that you wouldn't understand, as I barely do myself."

"Did you warn him?"

"Let me ask you this Arya; going into battle did you know that if you made a mistake you just might die today?"

"Obviously," she retorted.

"There's your answer." Taron patiently pointed out.

Gendry observed, "you even sound like Aulix…. I'm sorry my friend."

"Why's that?" Tam asked.

"He's had to carry that burden of sorrowful knowledge, all by himself. Can I even call myself a friend?"

Taron answered, "you're a good man and I'm proud to have you, all of you, as friends."

Gendry sighed. "It's finally over. It'll be a big mess to clean out all the dead from this place. How do you feel Emperor Aegerys?"

"Like I can eat a whole cow and sleep for weeks…. Thank you everyone, especially you Rayanna. I couldn't have killed him without your help."

Rayanna kissed his cheek. "All hail the champion of the living, King of both the seven kingdoms and Essos. To our Emperor!"

They all repeated what she said and bowed, making Aegerys blush. Then he said, "let's find a way off this rock. I wonder if we have anyone left at King's Landing."

Gendry and Taron carried Aulix's body down to the row boat. Once they were all in it, Gendry rowed them towards the waiting ship. The crew roared their happiness, when they saw who was on the little boat. Shortly after they set sail towards King's Landing. It took sailing overnight (11 hours) to reach the Rosby port. The ships had the remaining surviving soldiers already on board. A huge cheer went from ship to ship, as they saw their victorious king, at the bow of his ship.

"Let's head to Braavos!" Commanded Emperor Aegerys.

Arya released ravens for the cities in Dorne. The parchment said the same thing to each of the cities; Emperor Aegerys ruled over Westeros. He would return to clean up the dead from the battle grounds and help Westeros rebuild itself into a flourishing empire.
