Disclaimer: Thanks for being patient with me everyone, I still get notifs when someone follows the story and it still makes me really happy. As I stated awhile ago, we are coming to the end sooner than we think. Thanks for sticking with me over the past year and a half and dealing with the slow as hell updates. As usual, I own nothing related to BBC's Merlin or any of the songs that Laya sings.

Merlin and Arthur were sitting up in Arthur's chambers, sitting close to each other, talking about the next move for them. They had decided that since Uther hated and feared magic, that they were going to use Merlin's magic and make it look like it was Laya did it.

It was getting emotional for them but they needed a well thought out plan. One wrong move and it could jeopardize your future. After several hours, they decided to call it a night; Merlin was about to head to your room when he remembered that you were there with Gwaine,

"Stay here, Merlin." Arthur said.

"But sire...what if-?"

"Lock the door. If anyone asks, I'll come up with something."Arthur said. "Tonight, I just want you to be with me."

Merlin felt his cheeks heat up, doing as he was told. He went to the chair next to Arthur's bed and sat in in, watching as Arthur laid down, the blankets still pooled by his ankles.

"What are you doing, Merlin?" He said, propping himself onto his elbow.

"You said you wanted me here, sire, so here I am." Merlin shrugged, kicking his boots off.

"I can see that." Arthur replied, "But why are you all the way over there?"

"I thought you meant that you wanted me to stay with you but just over here." Merlin said, slowly. "You never-" He was cut off my Arthur grabbing him by the sleeve and pulling him into the bed.

"I meant, that I wanted you to be in the bed with me." He said. "I want you here every night."

"Arthur..." He said. "Once Laya leaves...if I go to get into bed with you, you're going to behead me."

He sighed and pulled Merlin into his chest, his fingers slipping through the dark brown strands gently. "I might try. But I think a part of me had feelings for you before she came along. That she just helped me realize my feelings." He said.

"But that doesn't mean that you're going to be welcoming me into your bed, sire." Merlin said, his arm slowly finding it's way across Arthur's waist.

"I'll be confused at first...or think that you've lost your mind...but I know you. You'll come up with something." Arthur smirked, grabbing the blanket and throwing it over them.

"I could always do something that only I know." Merlin said, looking up at Arthur with a smirk of his own.

"Oh? And what would that be?" Arthur said. "You can't just annoy me on a daily basis."

"Well we have to figure it out then." Merlin replied, rolling on top of Arthur.

Laya's Hospital Room

"Artie. We have to do something about Laya." the voice said, bored.

"Father, we aren't giving up on her yet." Artie replied, looking out the window.

"So you'd rather fund money into the hospital to keep her alive when she hasn't shown any signs of waking up in months?" Their father said, voice brimming with anger.

"Damn right I will. You might have given up on her years ago, but I will not let my sister die." Artie said. "Besides, it's my money Father. Not yours. Have a nice day." He hung up the phone, growling a bit.

"Don't worry, Laya. I won't let Father hurt you. Not again." He said, sitting next to her, stroking her hair.
