A/N: Sorry it took this long to get to this point in the story... but least it was chosen to be the fic of the month! I'm going to try to have to be one of the stories that I update more than once this month... Either way enjoy!

Chapter 3: The Ninja

Rukia despite being a "death god", she got along great with Mikuru. In fact they bonded over a love of cute things. Which wasn't part of her cover, she really did have a love of cute things. Especially bunnies!

Yes… a Shinigami loved bunnies… that just sounds off.

However one day in class Negi made an announcement.

"Today we have another new student." He said.

"Another one…" thought Kyon, "This doesn't sound good."

That was when the door slammed open, there was a blonde boy with strange whisker marks on his cheeks, who wearing a strange headband that had a metal plate on with a weird swirl thing on it, not only that but he was clearly breaking the dress code, not only did he not wear the tie but was wearing his jacket over his shoulders.

"The name's Naruto Uzumaki!" he yelled, "And don't you forget it!"

Much of the class stared at the boy, however Haruhi was thinking other things.

"Right Mr. Uzumaki, do you think you can take your seat." Said Negi.

"Fine…" said Naruto taking the seat that used to belong to Ryoko.

During class, Naruto fell asleep and had to be awakened by a teacher many times through out the day.

"He seems to be a Juvenile delinquent…" said Haruhi with a certain look in her eye.

"Great she's going to ask him to join…" thought Kyon.

That afternoon in the Clubroom, Haruhi had an announcement.

"I present to you the newest member of the S.O.S. Brigade!" said Haruhi, "Naruto!"

"What's up!" said Naruto waving.

"I've been thinking I wanted a delinquent in the club." Said Haruhi, "And I got it!"

"Seriously?" asked Kyon she was ready to face palm.

"I think having a delinquent in the club is going opt bring make things more interesting." Said Itsuki.

"I know right!" said Haruhi, "As long as you don't cause too much trouble."

"I don't plan to, because my grandma will kick my ass if I get kicked out." Laughed Naruto then he froze.

"Are you okay?" asked Mikuru.

"I'm fine… just worried about what she would do if I get kicked out." Said Naruto.

Naruto filled out his application to become an official member.

"Hey I bought some instant ramen if you can make that for me!" said Naruto.

"Sure." Said Mikuru.

Kyon was playing the usual game with Itsuki.

"I think Naruto will liven things up around here. Don't' you think?" he asked.

"Didn't you already say something like that." Said Kyon.

Naruto watched the blonde boy waiting impatiently for the three minutes to up.

After school Kyon headed home. As he rode his bike he couldn't help but to feel like hot was being followed.

After a while he stopped.

"Okay! Who's following me?" asked Kyon.

"I guess I wasn't doing that good of a job." Said Naruto coming out the shadow of a building.

"Why were you following me?" asked Kyon.

"I'm a ninja." Said Naruto.

Kyon stared at him.

"Sure you are…" said Kyon.

"No really! I'll prove it." Said Naruto, "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"

That was when a second Naruto appeared.

Kyon looked at the second Naruto in shock.

"Okay… I'm listening…" said Kyon.

Naruto dispelled his clone and began a speech.

"You see in the Pacific ocean there's another content that you can't there through normal means." Said Naruto sounding like the speech was rehearsed, "It's called the hidden continent and many people there can harness an energy. On the continent there are many countries many of them is a ninja village."

"Uh-huh…" said Kyon nothing was shocking anymore what with dealing with an alien, timer traveler, esper, mage and shinigami.

"I come the Village Hidden in the Leave in the Land of Fire." Explained Naruto.

"You're mission to watch over Haruhi and inform me about it… right?" asked Kyon.

"Yeah…" sighed Naruto.

"So why?" asked Kyon.

"Well… I didn't memorize that part of the mission." Sighed Naruto. "Besides, granny Tsunade wanted to get rid of me for personal reasons."

Kyon stared at the strange ninja.

"Are you having a hard time explaining." Said a voice.

That was when Kyon turned around and saw a pregnant woman with a girl and a boy in a different school uniforms, Kyon immediately recognized the girl's school uniform belonging to Kouyouen, while the boy's he couldn't recognize.

"Sorry about that but Naruto's a bit of an idiot." Said the boy.

"Hey!" yelled Naruto.

"Don't worry, I can explain it better." Said the pregnant woman.

The pregnant woman took them to a café and performed hand movements.

"I put up an audio Genjutsu, if anyone overhears us they're just hear different conversation." Said the woman.

"Genjutsu?" asked Kyon.

"It means illusion." Explained Naruto.

"I see." Said Kyon.

"Anyways." The woman, "three years ago, there was an explosion of Chakra. After getting Intel form the source it was discovered Haruhi Suzumiya had charka never seen before."

"Why is the explosion of energy so common recently…" thought Kyon.

"However recently there have been tension on the Hidden Content and there might be people after Haruhi because of her abilities and chakra." Said the pregnant woman.

"That's lie you just want me to watch her just to make sure I don't get into trouble!" yelled Naruto.

"Naruto…" said the girl.

"Naruto I understand you're getting antsy but Lady Tsunade has requested you take this mission." Said the woman.

Naruto began to pout.

"He's more childish than I thought…" thought Kyon.

""I guess I should introduce myself my name is Kurenai Yuhi." Said the prevent woman.

"My name is Hinata Hyuga." Said the girl who had long indigo hair and strangely white eyes.

"Shikamaru Nara." Muttered the boy who had a ponytail that vaguely resembled a pineapple.

"I have been assigned to make sure Naruto does his mission." said Kurenai, "While Hinata and Shikamaru volunteered to help."

"Why did you volunteer?" asked Kyon getting suspicious.

"It doesn't matter why I came." Said Shikamaru.

"Well…" said Hinata blushing a little while looking at Naruto, "No reason I guess…"

Kyon looked at Hinata and figured right away the reason.

She came there because of Naruto.

"IT doesn't matter why we were sent here, but people will want Haruhi for their own reasons…" said Kurenai, "And we're here to protect her."

Naruto continued to pout.

"Naruto do you think you can escort him home?" asked Kurenai.

"Fine…" muttered Naruto.

When Naruto and Kyon were alone, Naruto knew he could confide in Kyon.

"I don't know if there's people after Haruhi but I know for a fact they're really after me..." Muttered Naruto, "Granny Tsunade just wants me to lay low while everyone else fights them…"

"Your grandmother?" asked Kyon.

"She's not really my grandma, it's just a cover." Said Naruto, "She's the Hokage."

"The Hokage?" asked Kyon.

"She's the boss of the village." Answered Naruto, "Burt she will kick my ass if I get kicked out I get kicked out of school."

"I can guess why." Said Kyon.

"Look it doesn't matter why they're after me… just make sure everyone is safe in case they come… okay…" said Naruto.

Kyon sighed, Naruto had his own problem and had to look after Haruhi, he couldn't help but to feel sorry for the guy.

That night Kyon was trying to do homework but he couldn't help but to think about recent events.

A boy mage who was sent to observe Haruhi as part of his training.

Shinigami sent to obverse Haruhi and protect her from Hollows and to make sure nothing like the first ever happens again.

And a ninja sent to protect Haruhi (and maybe doing to hide himself).

"I just had to suggest these things to Haruhi…" muttered Kyon.

Of course he knew that things were just going to get weirder from that point on… But just how was unknown…

He just didn't know the extract extent…
