Chapter 8: Pretty Little Psycho

The clock struck eight as Hades sat watching the match between Hunter and Robin, he paused the video as Hunter shot his blood into Robin chest and zoomed in looking for something. Whatever it was he decided it wasn't there and turned off the video before calling Tamaki.

"Ah if it isn't my favorite god of the underworld! What can i do for you at this hour?" The fake joy in Tamaki's voice irked Hades to no end but he decided to ignore it for now and got onto business.

"Has Alex given you any important information regarding Hunter."

"Oh yes just a few minutes ago Alex Gave me an update regarding the boy. He said Hunter may be willing to join the Undertaker should it mean defeating Zeus." Hades remained silent in thought before asking.

"May be or will be?" Tamaki let out a sigh at that.

"Look the boy's not a mind reader he thinks Hunter may be willing to cooperate and that's good enough for me."

"Not for me, what about Alex what are his plans?"

"Oh please it wouldn't take a mind reader to see the second he gets a chance he's coming for your head. In fact I believe his plan is to side with Zeus." Hades scowled at this but kept his composure.

"His willingness isn't a factor. He just needs to survive until the time is right, after that it won't matter."

Alex woke up to the sound of movement. Rolling over and looking at the clock he saw it was roughly seven-thirty. Sitting up and looking around his room he saw nothing but the sound was still there but this time he could tell where it was coming from, above him. Looking up he saw a air vent just large enough for someone to fit in, and through the slits what looked like a prison uniform. Scratching open a scab Alex sent tendrils to the vent and pulled off the grate. Then the lower half of a person fell through along with a startled yell. Alex then had his tendrils wrap around this person's waist and pull bringing Yo falling onto his back. Alex had an unamused look on his face as he looked down at the slightly older man.

"Yo it's seven in the morning why are you crawling around in the vents?" Alex unwrapped Yo and let him stand up.

"I was trying to find my way into G-Block. I'm looking for-"

"Hold that thought where's Shiro?" Alex asked looking back up at his vent.

"I don't know we got separated, but she seems capable of taking care of herself." Alex didn't believe a word of that but was too tired to care and just wanted Yo out at the moment.

"Whatever, why are you here?" Alex said rubbing his eyes.

"I'm looking for someone, a girl, seventeen, brown pigtails, kinda shy. Have you seen someone like that." Alex tilted his head in thought though that sounded very familiar hold on was he talking about her?

"You mean Minatsuki?" Yo practically jumped at Alex grabbing him by the shoulders and asking.

"You know Minatsuki?! Where is she I need to find her and-" Alex shook Yo off of him and said.

"Yes I know her, no I don't know where she is but... Hang on it might be in here." Alex then walked over and turned on his light before walking over to a discarded magazine and flipping it open and scanning the pages for her name. "How do you know her anyway?"

"She's my little sister. I've been looking for her for months now." Alex opened his mouth to say something but he couldn't quite find the words so he just kept looking through the pages. "No offence but how is reading that going to help us find her."

"Its an event guide for this week, damn nothing in performance im gonna check carnival corpse."

"Carnival corpse, what's that? Sounds kinda ominous." Alex chuckled at that oh if only he knew.

"Its an event kinda like the dog race only you don't get a choice in whether or not you participate" Alex then flipped to the first match of the day. "Hang on I found her, she's scheduled for the first round at eight."

"Then what are we waiting for? Lets go and-"

"Don't get ahead of yourself. First of all I don't know if we can get close enough to get you to her. And second you shouldn't even be here!" Yo shook his head at that.

"No there has to be another way!" Alex sighed Yo wasn't going to let this go. Alex understood though, he may have been an only child but over the years there where people he had thought of as siblings and he would and had fought the world for them.

"Alright let me call the boss see what I can do." Alex then pressed on his earphone and Tamaki's voice immediately answered.

"Alexander I didn't expect you to be up this early, to what do I owe the surprise?" Alex rolled his eyes and asked.

"Hey boss, two questions. One how close can I get to a carnival corpse without being in it? And two, do the guards know im an Undertaker?"

"Well technically you can get as close as you want as long as you don't interfere and yes the staff knows. Anything else."

"No sir I'll report in when I have more information." Alex then looked over to Yo and said. "Good news I might be able to get you close enough to talk with her." Yo's eyes lit up at that. "But we only have about thirty minutes so we need to hurry."

It was almost eight when Hunter woke up. He laid around and debated whether or not it was worth crawling out of bed. In the end however he got up and decided to explore. The floor he was on didn't have much too it mostly being residential rooms and a restaurant. The floor above him was a bit more lively having some more shops and even a bar. Being curious he entered he entered and looked around, It was a simple place some tables and the actual bar and didn't seem to stick out much. One of the patrons however did, it was Robin who noticed Hunter walk in right away and greeted him with a kind smile.

"Falcon, come in please, have a seat." Hunter didn't know what to expect when Robin saw him but that certainly wasn't on the list. Taking a cautious step forward Robin chuckled and said. "Please if you're worried about yesterday it's fine, we can't hold grudges for winning." Hunter wasn't completely convinced but still sat next to him curious as to where Robin was going with this. "So I know they call you Falcon but what is your real name?"

"I'm Hunter." Robin took a sip of his drink before saying.

"That's a nice name Hunter, I'm Haru." The bartender then walked over.

"What can I get you?"

"Oh um, just a coke thanks." The bartender nodded and pulled out a can from an ice box, Hunter paid and the bartender left. Haru gave him a look as he opened his drink.

"Not a drinker I see?"

"Oh um no not really." Hunter looked down before saying. "Hey don't take this the wrong way but why did you call me over?"

"Oh, no real reason, I just don't like drinking alone and Senji left to watch Woodpeckers match."

"Oh you know Senji?" Hunter said taken aback.

"Yes, He was the first person to beat me, And I was his first opponent, Truth is I have awful luck when it comes to facing beginners." Haru smiled again and drank some more sake. "So then are you going to watch the Carnival Corpse?"

"Oh I would but I don't have a T.V." Haru nodded and turned to the bartender.

"Adachi, may I see the remote." The bartender handed Haru the remote and he turned on the TV. The match had already started as Ganta was on the ground bleeding as Minatsuki was moving her hands over her body groping herself as she said things that made Hunter cringe.

"Is...is That really Minatsuki?" Hunter said in shock, she had seemed so nice when he met her and now... The things she said made him shiver with fear and disgust.

"Ah I see you fell for her act didn't you? You're lucky then. Most don't see another round if she catches them off guard."

Alex and an armored Yo stood in an elevator going down to the Carnival Corpse Ring. Alex then looked to Yo and asked.

"Did you really need to hit him with a pipe?" Yo shrugged.

"I needed a disguise."

"And what are you going to do when they ask you why you're trying to talk to someone in the middle of a Carnival Corpse?"

"I'll improvise." There was a moment of awkward silence before Yo spoke again. "So what is a Carnival Corpse anyway."

"It's a fight between Deadmen. Kinda like a gladiator match but with a lot more blood and it's up to your opponent if you get to live." Yo tensed up at that. "Relax, she's fighting Ganta so chances are she's gonna be just fine." The Elevator door immediately opened to Ganta preparing to fire one of his bullets at Minatsuki.

"You Bitch!" Ganta then fired a shot right at her but she was able to block with her wrist cuffs. Yo started running at the ring but two guards caught him and easily restrained him. Alex smirked and said.

"So, a lot of good that disguise did you huh?"

"Are you gonna help me or not!?" Yo yelled struggling against the two men.

"Why would I do that?" Alex said approaching the three armored men as Yo's helmet was knocked off.

"I'll give you a million cast!"

"Done." Alex made a knife in one hand and stabbed the Guard on his right in the throat. As he did this he formed claws on his left hand and shot the other guard in the skull with his fingers killing them both. Yo wasted not time running into view and screaming.

"Ganta!" Both Ganta and Minatsuki were caught off guard when Yo climbed into the ring and moved in between the two. "What the hell do you think you're doing to my sister?"

"Well this is certainly a surprise, I could have sworn the guards would have stopped him." Chaplins voice rang from a speaker overhead. Five long fingers then struck said peaker as Alex pulled himself into the air before letting go and landed in the ring.

"Yeah, I don't know. They were sleeping when we showed up, real unprofessional if you ask me."

"And yet another intruder! Now Hawk you know you're not allowed to-"

"Yeah, yeah, I know. Don't interfere." Alex called out rolling his eyes and strolling over to Ganta looking at his wounds. "Shit man she do that to you? Shit when you beat Crow I thought you were pretty tough but now..." Ganta then tried to explain.

"No you don't understand, she's insane! She tricked me into thinking she was normal then attacked me out of nowhere and started acting crazy." Alex had a look of disbelief on him as he shook his head.

"Really? Her? Are you kidding me Ganta she broke down crying yesterday because I yelled at her. You're gonna need to come up with a better excuse than that for getting your ass kicked."

"No really she- AGH!" Ganta then fell down and held his leg. Chaplin knew what was happening but decided to use the opportunity to tease Alex a little.

"Now Hawk what did I just say?" In response Alex turned around Yelled at her.

"OH bullshit I didn't do that and you know it Chaplin!" As this was happening Minatsuki ran over to Ganta seemingly to check if he was ok but as Alex turned back around he saw her whisper something to him before standing up and turning back to her brother.

"It's not all his fault Yo. I knew we were going to fight but I still trusted him!" She then ran off back to Yo as Ganta stood up and shouted.

"Bullshit! I'm the one who trusted you! That's it im gonna kick your ass!" Ganta was about to fire another shot at her when Yo stepped back in between the two. Ganta stopped his blood from firing and dissolved the bullet. Then Minatsukis face contorted into a twisted grin as her hair started moving as blood whips began to take shape in it with all of them directed at Yo. Alex was shocked this was a complete one-eighty from her innocent act, then something started to itch a the back of his mind.

"So this is how you killed dad?" Yo said shocking everyone in the ring. Minatsuki herself recalled her blood and took a step back saying.

"Yo... I don't understand." Her innocent facade was failing and fast as she tried to come up with an excuse as Yo turned around and softly said.

"It's okay Minatsuki, I don't care what it is you've done in the past" He then put a hand on her shoulder and continued "It doesn't matter because you're my sister, I still lo-"

"Fuck you!" Everyone was once again shocked as Minatsuki's voice dripped with venom at Yo's attempt to reach out her.

"Wha- Minat-"

"SHUT UP! YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN PULL THAT SHIT ON ME?" Blood wrapped around Yo's throat choking him and lifting him off his feet and into the air before restraining his hands and feet "JUST HURRY UP AND DIE SO I CAN CUM ALREADY!" Then it clicked. She didn't forget Robin's fighting style at all. She probably found it funny when Hunter got stabbed and had to pull the blades out himself, or worse got off to it.

"You fucking bitch!" She turned to him with an annoyed glare. "You knew me and Hunter were preparing for the wrong kind of fight and you just stood around and let us waste our fucking time!" She then began to cackle, bending over and holding her sides before looking up again with a scared expression.

"A-Alex, I'm so SO sorry I fucked over your little faggot friend could you ever forgive me!?" She then put her face into her hands and pretended to cry. She then looked up with a smug grin of her face and asked. "Was that convincing enough for you? It seemed to work on him, he looked really pissed at you when I ran off!" Alex then formed his claws and ran at her yelling.

"I'LL RIP OUT YOUR FUCKING THROAT!" Before he was halfway across the ring she struck him in the face cutting open his cheek and sending him sliding across back to Ganta. Ganta then fired a shot at her in retaliation but she moved Yo in front of it using him as a meat shield.

"How could you do that?! He's your brother!" Minatsuki laughed and brought Yo over her head before saying.

"Oh come on, don't tell me this worthless shitstain has you thinking you're pals! Let me tell you a little secret, he's been using you from the start!"

"Like that matters!" Minatsuki's face grew confused at that. "He was doing it for you! I'd do the same thing if I were him!"

"Oh my god! Are you actually that fucking pathetic? Fine I'll just smear you and him both into paste then im gonna take my time with-" The sound of the bell ended her speech as she sighed and walked back to her corner slashing at Yo every time he tried to talk. Chaplin then chimed in saying.

"And with that round one has concluded, Woodpecker is injured with the two intruders not fairing much better yet Hummingbird remains relatively unharmed." Alex finally stood back up at this staggering over to Ganta while holding his face.

"Okay, lets say I believe the whole manipulative psycho bitch thing. You got a game plan?"

"Not yet, she's faster than me and I can't shoot through Yo." Alex sighed at this and said.

"Well I have one but it's gonna fucking suck, do you know what a red herring is?" Ganta nodded. "Good so the idea is you fire a few shots at her then I get in close, let her catch me then I distract her while you wait for the right time to strike." Ganta didn't seem to be entirely on board with the idea and asked.

"How will you do that? You can't hit her so what will you do?"

"Well she gets off to pain right? So all I gotta do is act like im real fucked up and she might pay more attention to me then you."

"I don't know isn't there another way?" The bell indicating round two had started rung out and Minatsuki stepped forth ready to end the fight.

"Nope, get ready." And with that Ganta and Alex walked to different sides of the ring and Ganta took a shot at her but she once again used Yo to block the shot Ganta then started to purposely miss as she mocked him. Alex then let out a yell as he ran as fast as he could before jumping into the air as though he was going to try and hit her from reacted quickly and wrapped a blood whip around his legs and slamming him into the ground head first. He struggled to stand but managed to get to his feet before she wrapped up his hands and tried to pull him down again. When that didn't work she struck him behind his knees making him fall to them. Alex let out a scream louder than he would usually after hit like that but it seemed to work as she looked at him licking her lips. Another slash struck him in the chest and he let out another scream, then again on his back, then down his arm, and then again in the chest. He had let out a painful yell after each hit exciting her more and more. Alex's plan had worked as she now only gave Ganta a passing glance as she casually walked over to Alex. She stood over him as he looked up, her face was that of pure bliss as she held her sides looking down at his panic stricken face. She then bent down and wiped some blood off of his face with her finger and licking it off. She had expected that to throw him over the edge into full on panic mode but instead his face morphed from fear to... Arousal? His eyes were wide and looking at her with clear interest, his jaw hung open with a blush rushing over his face, and he he tried to look away with the thought 'why was that hot?' running through his head again and again without any good answer. She then started laughing and bent down even further and whispered into his ear.

"Mmm, you look like that turned you on just as much as it did me." Alex tried to look away with his face turning even redder. Minatsuki then grabbed his chin and forced him to look directly at her "Tell you what, if you actually survive this i'll make you my personal plaything, how does that sound?" Before Alex could try and answer a blood bullet from Ganta hit her directly in the jaw sending her stumbling and then falling to the ground out cold. Her blood fell freeing Alex and Yo who did their best not to look at one another as they stood up.

Hunter breathed a sigh of relief as Minatsuki hit the floor. Haru smiled and patted him on the back.

"See your friends are fine. Or alive at least." Hunter downed the last of his coke and said.

"Yeah, I'm glad their okay." He then stood and nodded to Haru. "It was good talking with you, I'm gonna go explore the rest of this place." Haru watched as Hunter stood and walked to the door and as he was about to leave Haru spoke up.

"Hunter, your heart seems to be in the right place, If you want to make a difference go down to the bottom floor and find a man named Nagi." Hunter turned back and nodded before walking out. The bartender walked over to Haru and pulled out a sake bottle filling up Haru's glass.

"I thought you left Scarchain for a good reason." Haru smiled and took a sip from his glass.

"I did but those reason are my own, besides you never know, that boy could be the one to set us all free."
