I hate babysitting, two year old niece woke me up screaming out... about absolutely fucking nothing and I had to try and exhaust myself to fall back to sleep, so enjoy the insomnia chapter.

As an aside, to anyone wondering yes the Potter/Black clan will be traveling the world pre-Hogwarts, possibly even joined by the Grangers since I sort of adore Harry and Hermione's absolute loyalty to each other. Not even romantically, I mean really that kind of trust and loyalty is something I think Harry would try and cultivate between Rose and her Hermione because experience has shown him that it is pretty much the only consistent thing in life.

Mahoutokoro will be a thing but I readily admit I need a refresher on Japanese culture and I wouldn't mind some tips since the Pottermore article is...Near useless. So if you have some advice how Rose and Hermione handle their early years at the Japanese school of magic I'd love to hear it.

Harry awoke with a rather silly grin on his face when he realized the legs and arms wrapped around him were not in fact intangible fragments leftover from his more erotic dreams.

Cracking his eyes open he took in the beautiful visage of his lover as she gently snored in his embrace, and much to his amusement Bellatrix soon nuzzled her head further into the crook of his neck while muttering out a self satisfied "Mmm...warm...yummy"

Harry was not a fool, he immediately realized that he was at crossroad, he could either slip away now before his connection to the Black family became permanent, play things safe, and basically force Rose and himself to become vagabonds trying to avoid everything involving the magical world...

Or...

Staring down at Bellatrix's contented visage Harry could not help smirking in a self satisfied manner.

Or, he could allow himself to be happy and fuck all to the consequences.

Leaning his head forward he kissed Bella a few times before she nuzzled herself a bit closer to him before her eyes eventually cracked open and her intense lilac gaze met his own emerald.

"Hey you," she stated laconically.

"Hey yourself, how are you feeling gorgeous?"

Reluctantly pulling away from his embrace Bellatrix stretched out her limbs a moment before letting them go limp again, very nearly smacking her lover in the forehead in the process, not that he would comment on it.

"I would say...pleasantly sore... That wasn't your first time was it?"

Harry sat up and once catching a wiff of himself decided he needed a shower as soon as possible, before replying.

"My best friend and I were lovers during the war... When you are hormonal teenagers forced into a conflict you wished to have no part in, and had the grim realization you could die at any moment hovering over your head at all times...well..."

Bella shivered at that revelation, "I cannot even imagine living like that..."

Harry tensed a moment before releasing a tired sigh while shaking his head slow, "Trust me on this one, it wasn't living, it was existing in a state of constant fear. I... I'm going to go take a shower, then we'll discuss how to handle whatever...this...is. All right?"

Bellatrix smiled coquettishly as she left the bed and turned her head in a manner that sent her ebony curls flowing while she prowled towards the wash room.

"A shower sounds positively lovely at the moment, though do you plan on leaving a lady to travel without escort Lord Potter?"

Harry stared at her retreating bare arse a moment before jumping out of bed grinning widely, yup, Harry knew what the right choice was.

An hour later Harry and Bellatrix were sitting in the Tonks dining room feeding Rose while little Dora ran around the couple trying to help as best as she could, it was simultaneously annoying and completely adorable so neither said anything on the subject.

Being stuck with babysitting detail while the responsible adults worked was a small price to pay to get to know each other better after all.

A few minutes later Sirius entered the room, took in the the familial insanity, and smiled lightly, "So you two hooked up eh?"

Harry and Bella exchanged glances, then eventually nodded to each other before turning towards Sirius while muttering, "Yes," in unison.

"Good," he stated while walking towards the food cupboard, "You two deserve to be happy, there any cornflakes around here?"

Blinking owlishly Harry nodded and pointed at the top of refrigerator, "Up there Padfoot."

Letting out an acknowledging grunt Sirius grabbed the box and soon poured himself a bowl of cereal and after using the last of the milk, the ass, he began munching on his impromptu breakfast before eventually talking around his meal like the childish slob he was.

"So I was thinking-"

"Miracle of miracles," Bellatrix drawled out while raising a contemptuous brow.

"First time for everything," Harry stated at the same time leaning down to ruffle Dora's hair lightly before she ran off again to find something to entertain Rose with.

Sirius didn't miss a beat as he continued on, silently pleased that the pair before him shared the Marauders sense of humor.

"-that we should move out East for a few years to let everything settle down. Not immediately mind you, let Rose get a few years of muggle primary school in and move to maybe, I dunno, Japan? I know for a fact that Mahoutokoro takes students from the ages of six and seven in their day schooling and it would do her well to have an edge if you two go through with her going to Hogwarts when she's of proper age."

The couple blinked owlishly before tilting their heads to the side in unison while Bellatrix incredulously asked, "Who the hell are you and what have you done with my idiot cousin?"

Sirius shifted about a bit before muttering, "Mooney suggested it..."

Harry let out a relieved sigh at that, "Oh thank the Morrigan I thought the multiverse was about to collapse with the Dogfather giving sound logical advice and all."

Bellatrix nodded in turn, "Agreed."

"Oi!" Sirius shouted in return.

Harry only rolled his eyes at the animagus as he drawled out, "Sirius, I know you, ok, well a version of you anyway, Bella knows you, Andi and Ted know you, are you really going to argue the point that you would have come up with this idea on your own."

Sirius stared at him a moment before deflating, "Whatever... So what do you think?"

The young couple exchanged glances before nodding to each other, Bellatrix responding first, "I think it's a good idea, primary will give her a basis on how the mundane world works and that will only benefit her."

Harry tilted his head to the side while rolling his eyes towards the ceiling, "And going out East could only be beneficial in that it means she'll have cultural exposure that most British magicals avoid like the plague. I've heard Mahoutokoro is fairly liberal for an Asian school though they are pretty harsh on anyone practicing the Dark Arts, considering some of the crazy shite that has happened to them in the past few hundred years I can't really blame them on that one."

Bellatrix turned her head to the side before catching Harry's gaze, "So self study in that regard?"

Harry mulled it over a few moments before nodding, "Yeah, no need for her to learn about the Darker side of magic until she's into her teens."

Sirius stared at the couple a few more moments before letting out an incredulous huff, "Circe you two are talking like you're already married..."

Said couple was silent for a time, and as both felt their cheeks heat Sirius couldn't help let out a barking laugh, "Ah the Potter curse, your dad, grandfather, and great grandfather all went through the same thing when they found the witch of their dreams."

Harry and Bellatrix raised a brow as one while Sirius rolled his eyes and took his now empty bowl to the sink to clean it out, "Fleamont had Euphemia, Charles had Dorea, James had Lily, and Harry here now has Bellatrix."

Tossing the bowl and spoon into the dish drainer Sirius turned around and smirked at the young couple, "When a Potter stakes his claim on the witch he wishes to love it is always do or die. After last night, well...we all know which route you two are going."

Blushing scarlet they turned away from the smirking animagus while Harry muttered out, "I need to learn Japanese, he's an idiot but it's a good idea."

Bellatrix nodded in return, "Agreed, he's an idiot to the core...and yeah me too..."

Wrapping an arm around Bella's waist he guided her out of the kitchen while letting out a heavy sigh, "Lets slow down the pace we're going for the time, but if a year from now we're feeling the same way we are now, well..."

She nodded slowly, "If we feel the same way a year from now, if you would ask, I would say yes."

Harry smiled at that, "A year then."

Bellatrix kissed his cheek while nodding, "A year."

I am very tired and wish I had been sleeping rather than being awake to write this, regardless I hope you all enjoyed this small update. I'm going to try and get an hour of sleep, peace all.
