When Zelda and Midna entered the area where Normak was waiting for them. Normak, a large Lava Golem, stood before them. Smiling nefariously, he said "Ah, Zelda, Midna, there you are. Now, I know exactly why you're here. And I can tell you now, that stone you got there, is fake"
'WHAT?" Zelda yelled, shocked by the revelation. Midna said "Let me guess, you've got it somewhere?" to which Normak replied with "It's behind me. You have to defeat me before you can obtain the real Abanaka Stone" to which Zelda nodded. Midna was ready, and Normak laughed, and dissolved into the floor.
"Oh great, now what?" Zelda asked. Midna then saw strange, tentacle-like objects appeared from the floor. Each of them started to swing at Midna and Zelda. It was tough to dodge, due to the speed of the tentacles, and eventually it did hit Zelda, even though she had created a defensive spell, she still took 6 hearts of damage, reducing her to 10 hearts. Zelda and Midna hit each of the tentacles, taking four hits each to destroy them. Finally, Normak raised up, and unleashed a lava wave, which Zelda easily avoided, but Midna was damaged by the wave, dealing 3 hearts of damage, reducing her to 13 hearts. Midna and Zelda started unleashing their attacks, and although it only lasted for about 5 seconds, it still did 15 hearts of damage, reducing Normak to 85 hearts.
"Oh crap, it's got 100 hearts" Zelda said. Midna replied with "Well yeah, Vexona had 100 hearts as well" to which Normak said "Just so you know, all three of us have 100 hearts. Even if you defeat me, Carliko will still destroy you" and then Normak dissolved into the Lava again, but this time only revealed four tentacles, instead of five like last time.
"Oh, that really isn't good. Now we must do more damage it we're going to win, because it seems each time he's hit, he loses a tentacle. At 15 hearts, that isn't enough. He'd still have a quarter of his health left" Midna said. Zelda then said, "Let's just stop him from staying in the lava" and at this, they started hitting the tentacles, while avoiding the tentacles hitting them, or, in the case of Zelda's last tentacle, blocked it with her staff. Once again, Normak then rose, but this time, ready for the lava wave, managed to avoid the wave. This time, Zelda and Midna fired off their attacks again, but this time they didn't even get much of an attack off, before Normak started firing off lava blasts from his hands and mouth, the blasts did indirect damage to both Zelda and Midna, as they barely avoided the main blasts, but still took 2 hearts of damage each, dropping Zelda to 8 hearts and Midna to 11 hearts.
"Keep attacking, and Zelda, use charged attacks, you'll be able to inflict more damage that way" Midna said. Zelda nodded, and fired off one massive charge of magic energy, dealing 5 hearts of damage to Normak, Midna fired of her continuous magical electric attack, and eventually they managed to do 25 hearts of damage to Normak, reducing him to 60 hearts, before he fell back into the lava. Zelda fired off a healing spell, returning herself to 15 hearts, and Midna to a full 16 hearts. Just as Zelda predicted, there was only three tentacles on his head. Once again, Zelda and Midna had to either avoid or block the tentacles, but this time, the tentacles were moving faster than before, and Zelda and Midna had a lot of trouble either dodging or blocking the tentacles, and it was harder for them to inflict damage. Finally, they destroy the tentacles. Normak then rose, and Zelda and Midna avoided the lava wave.
"Far out, how much more have we got to fight?" Zelda asked. Midna then replied with "Let's just beat away on him, eventually we should be able to defeat him. We've almost got him half-way down, we can do this" to which Zelda nodded.
"Grr, not bad. However, now I turn this around in one way. You see, I have noticed that you, Zelda, can heal. Now I know that, I can use this special spell to stop you healing' Normak said. He then clapped his hand together, and a spell swarmed around everybody, and Zelda immediately noticed that she couldn't do any healing.
"We're going to have to be careful now" Zelda said to Midna. Midna nodded, and then thought of something.
"Hey Zelda, can I use my powers to increase the strength of your light arrows?" Midna asked. To which Zelda replied with "Sure" and pulled out her arrow. Midna and Zelda had to avoid the next series of fists, but Midna managed to use her power to strengthen the arrow, and when Zelda fired it at full power, it knocked 15 hearts out of Normak's health, and Midna fired off several electrical attacks to deal another twenty hearts. Once again, Normak fell into the lava, once again making him impossible to damage anywhere except the tentacles. Now there were only two, and they were now swinging very fast around, forcing Zelda and Midna to have to use Teleporting to avoid them. Zelda and Midna struggled to get hits on the tentacles, which getting hit twice each, doing 3 hearts each time to each of them, dropping Zelda firstly to 12 hearts, then to 9 hearts, while Midna dropped to 13 hearts, then to 10 hearts. Finally, Midna and Zelda managed to damage both tentacles enough to force Normak to come up, and Midna and Zelda avoided the lava wave. Midna and Zelda attacked repeatedly, having to avoid many lava punches and lava blasts from his mouth. After a minute of constantly blasting Normak, eventually cutting another 25 hearts off Normak, dropping him to 15 hearts.
"ARGH! How am I losing?" Nomrak asked. He then said "Fine, let's see how you handle, THIS!" and at this, he started causing the lava level to rise, and so Zelda and Midna had to get to higher ground. Normak dissolved into the lava, and Zelda realised that they're going to be either burned of crushed. Zelda and Midna started breaking the roof, and eventually managed to break through, narrowly avoiding being either crushed or burned. One final tentacle appeared, swinging at them. Zelda then had an idea, and used her staff to block the tentacle using her staff, and Midna attacked it until it was damaged enough to force Normak to resurface. After blocking and striking at Normak, eventually, Normak fell to his knees.
"No, how did I lose?" Normak said. Zelda replied with "Because Midna's a Twili, she was able to read the runes in that room, and she was able to use it to power up" and at this, Midna said "Now, let's finish you off" and at this, she stabbed Normak in the head with her staff, and Normak fell to the ground and dissolved into the lava. Midna found the real Abanaka stone, while Zelda threw out the fake one. Midna made the Abanaka stone small enough to put in her pocket, and then Midna grabbed a giant Heart, increasing both of their heart counts to 18, while also increasing Link's heart count to 32. Zelda and Midna then left through a teleporter.
About an hour and a half later, Zelda, Link and Midna were standing in the room where Ilia was lying unconscious. The potion slowly dripping down through the IV drip in Ilia's arm. After another half-hour, Ilia awoke.
"Ilia, are you alright?" Link asked, as he hugged Ilia. Ilia replied with "I'm fine. Or at least I will be. I have some very important information for you three" to which Zelda said "You do? Tell us". Ilia nodded, then said "The Temple of Magic, is the third temple you guys have to travel through. And, Link, there is a little spell that can be used, remember what Kauka said?" to which Midna asked "Is this related to the Oath to Order?" to which Ilia nodded, and said "Yes, it is, in fact, it is the very song that is present inside the temple. And I know that you're looking for that song" and at this, Link cheered. He then said "Midna, we're going to need somebody on your side within the realm of Termina, because that is the only realm in which the Oath to Order will work" to which Midna replied with "I have no idea, somebody may have made it into the Realm of Light that's on our side, but I have no method of knowing"
While Zelda, Midna, Link and Ilia are discussing what to do, and inside Termina
A figure is sitting in a library in Clock Town, trying to find the area where the Happy Mask Salesman had lived, many years ago. He looked through a very old and tattered book, looking for a reference to the Happy Mask Salesman.
"He's got to be mentioned somewhere, I don't even need his name mentioned I just need the word mask mentioned" he said. Soon he found what he was looking for, and started reading. After about ten minutes, he knew the building that the Happy Mask Salesman lived in, but, due to the industrialisation that has occurred in Termina over the last century, he knew that the building wouldn't be there today.
"Excuse me sir, the library is about to close. I'll return that book myself, I hope you found what you are looking for" a young lady said as she appeared behind the figure. The figure stood up, said "Thanks for informing me, I have what I need. I do have one question though"
"Ask away" the librarian said. The figure then asked, "Do you know where the home of the Happy Mask Salesman used to be?"
"Well yeah, it's the only building that has been preserved, after all, it was from there that the great Hero of Time came from, and where he went back to after he saved Termina from the Moon" the librarian replied. The figure nodded, then said "Thanks for telling me that, I must go now" and with that, he left, leaving the librarian to return the old book.
The figure wasn't surprised that he got strange looks as he headed for the Happy Mask Salesman's old house, he was Twili after all, and after what his ancestors had done centuries ago, he wasn't surprised that he was viewed with suspicion. Unfortunately, it was justified, considering what he was about to do.
When he arrived at the entrance to the Happy Mask Salesman's old house, he stared up at it.
"And this is it. Through here, beyond the Happy Mask Salesman's quarters, is the area, where Termina connects to Hyrle. Now my lady, I will finally be able to return to you" the figure said. He then opened a portal on the door, then crossed it into a very old, and dust covered room. All that was left of the room was the platform he stood on and the piano that was nearby. He doubted it would work after all this time, but nonetheless, he went over to investigate. He looked at it, and pressed a couple of keys. To his surprise, they worked, although the piano was so clogged with dust that it barely made any noise. The figure looked around, and saw a series of notes on the wall. Walking over, he read them. Then, he played them on the piano. And the small amount of light that had shone over the notes suddenly grew to fill the room, and a passageway leading back behind the room.
"This must be the passage that leads between Termina and Hyrle, I have to get to Hyrle, and find Midna, and that Hyrlean boy that she's been talking about for the last six months" the figure said. He then headed down the passage.
