In the Magic Temple
The lieutenant is standing outside of a magically locked door.
"Why do I get the feeling that this is where the Twili power room is?" he said to himself. He had tried to open it using the switch previously, however he found it didn't open, which frustrated him.
"OK. Carliko, I think this is where the Twili room is, can you destroy it?" the Lieutenant asked. Carliko replied with "I'll try", but when he attempted to use his power to destroy the Twili room, the attack he used failed to do any damage to the room.
"What the?" Carliko asked. A voice then echoed from the room, saying "This ancient room was created by a collaboration between the ancestors of a good faction of the Twili and the Hyliean gods. Its use is to stop the chaos creatures from being able to cause any damage to the mystical knowledge inside this building. The last time this building was raised, it was almost 100 years ago when the Hero of Time placed the Oath to Order song within here. And, it is designed to be invincible against Chaos Creatures"
"Shit, we're Chaos Creatures, so we can't seem to do anything to it" the lieutenant said. Carliko then added "So, as for you, fight Link and Zelda when they arrive"
"Alright, I will" the lieutenant said. The communication was then cut, and the lieutenant headed for one of the switches.
*Meanwhile with Midna, Ilia and Auru*
Midna, Ilia and Auru start working on the old maps, trying to connect the maps. After about ten minutes after they started, they were far enough along to find out the location of the forest where the Hero of Time had travelled through on his way to and from Termina,
"So, is it true that Hyrle, Termina and the Twilight Realm were connected to the God Realm and the Demon Realm through a portal?" Auru asked, to which Midna replied with "If all five realms were connected at one stage they're not now, at least not directly. It took some VERY old Twili magic to connect Hyrle to the Twilight Realm"
"So, quick question, how are Termina and the Twilight Realm connected?" Auru asked. Midna replied with "I don't know, but it may be related to the Stone Temple" to which Ilia asked "OK, what about the old book that both Zelda and Link have studied?"
"It wouldn't tell us anything, unless the Hero of Time had discovered the truth about the Stone temple" Midna said.
*With Zelda and Link at the Magic Temple*
Link and Zelda enter the Magic Temple, and immediately realise that this was different.
"Link, did you encounter any fog during your travels with Midna six months ago?" Zelda asked, to which Link replied with "Yes I did, in the Palace of Twilight. But I'm unsure if this is the same type of strange fog in here that it was in the Palace of Twilight" but the Link got an idea.
"I think I can see a platform that I can jump onto. If this is the same type of fog as in the Palace of Twilight, I will jump out in my Wolf form" Link said. Zelda nodded, then said "Go on". Link then nodded, and leapt into the fog, managing to reach the platform. After a few moments, Link leapt out, still in his human form.
"No, it isn't the same type of fog as in the Palace of Twilight" Link said, to which Zelda nodded, then asked "Now what?"
"Well we try to get into the fog" Link said. He then watched the barely-visible platform and leapt onto it. He then saw a second platform where he could leap to, even though he could barely see it. Once it crosses, he leapt onto it. And then, he saw two platforms.
"OK, so, now what?" Link asked. He then leapt onto one of the platforms, and called back to Zelda "There's two platforms, so don't jump onto the platform I'm on, OK?" to which Zelda replied with "Alright" and then she floated onto the first and second platform. Then she leapt onto the other platform.
"So, now its time to try and break the door" Link said. He then slashed it and saw a slash mark stay on it. Link slashed it again, and then slashed it ten times more, and finally, after 15 slashes, the door broke and allowed Link to go onto the next platform.
Zelda, meanwhile, used staff energy blasts to attack the door. It took 40 blasts, but she managed to break the door.
When Link arrived on the platform, he attempted to fire an arrow at the wall, but it went through what appeared to be a wall. Link reached out, but realised that the wall, for him at least, was solid.
"What the?" Link asked. Zelda soon arrived on the other platform and realised that she found the same wall. Link then finally saw an opening between the walls, but he couldn't see the next platform. However, Zelda had managed to float from the platform onto the special large platform, which appeared to be a maze.
"Link, there's a large platform you can jump to. But it looks like you need to be in your Wolf form to reach it" Zelda called. Link heard it, then turned into his Wolf form, and leapt onto the other wall, getting around the seemingly solid wall, then used his Wolf instincts to find the platform. He then found it and leapt onto it.
Link saw that the maze had one wall that went to the other side. So he turned back into a human and headed for the other end. However, when he reached the other end, the maze changed, and suddenly the wall went to the other side.
"What the?" Link asked. He then headed the other way, but then the maze changed back. Link then realised something, and said "Is Carliko a gigantic troll?"
Back in the boss room, Carliko smiled and said "Yes Link, I love using my magic powers to troll people"
Back on the platform, Zelda gets and idea. She shoots the wall with an energy blast, and dashes to the other end while shooting the wall and managed to get to the other side of the wall, and Carliko was unable to change the maze design.
At about this time, Link also realised that shooting the wall was able to stop the maze changing. After a minute or two, and quite a few arrows in Link's case, he managed to do enough to stop the maze type changing. This time, the maze type went from maze Type C to Maze Type B,
Suddenly, Link had to roll to avoid a Wallmaster that had dropped from the celling at him. With two slashes, Link destroyed it.
"What the hell? Where are these Wallmasters coming from?" Link asked himself. At about the same time, Zelda saw another Wallmaster jump at her, and she narrowly avoided the Wallmaster, which, after about 5 or 6 hits from the staff, was destroyed,
As Link moved along the maze, he reached the edge, he turned around, and headed towards the exit, but as he headed for the exit, the Maze changed again, this time from Type B to Type C, then almost immediately to Type A. Carliko regularly switched Link's part from Type B to Type A and back to frustrate Link. Eventually, Link managed to avoid being trapped by the dead-end present in Type B by turning into a Wolf and leaping the gap, catching Carliko by surprise, as he had managed to stop the changing of the Maze Type.
Zelda's was a bit different. She struggled to progress as the Maze changed between all three Types. Eventually, though, she managed to get to the next stage. Link just constantly flashed his sensory abilities as Wolf Link to avoid being caught out by Carliko's constant changing of the maze shape.
However, Zelda soon discovered that her path was blocked by a force field. Link, by contrast, managed to leap to each stone, surprised to discover that his wolf instincts allowed him to easily see where all the platforms are. Once he arrived at the platform, suddenly, a bunch of ReDeads attacked.
Link turned back into a human and leapt around to avoid the ReDead's grabbing him. He then started slashing at them, and, after just a few slashes, the five ReDead's were dead.
"Whew, that was rough" Link said. He then activated a switch, and a signal was sent to the force field that deactivated, allowing Zelda to progress. When she caught up to Link, Zelda asked "Did you find any barriers?" to which Link shook his head.
"Alright, then let's get" Zelda said, but she wasn't able to finish what she had said before both of them were sent flying by an energy attack, dealing 1 heart of damage to Link, reducing him to 34 hearts, while it did 5 hearts to Zelda, reducing her to 15 hearts.
"Get behind me" Link said. Zelda nodded, got behind Link, and Link put up his Mirror Shield. Several energy blasts went their way, and Link used the Mirror Shield to reflect it back at him. However, the lieutenant was so fast to avoid his own reflected blasts.
Link looked around, and saw two more pathways, both of which are blocked by force fields. Link realised that he would have to get to the platform on the other side of the corridor to challenge the person who is shooting blasts at him. Slowly, he progressed, reflecting energy blasts so that neither him nor Zelda took damage from the energy blasts. After a few minutes, Link and Zelda had arrived at the same platform that the lieutenant was at.
"So, Link, Zelda, you've found your way here" the lieutenant said. He then said "I'm the lieutenant of Carliko, the Magic Demon. I'm Kransor, and I'd like to see how you fare against me. I should warn you though, there are no barriers on this platform, if you fall off the edge, you won't be able to come back"
"We'll see about that" Zelda replied, while Link added "We'll be careful, but we'll defeat you"
"We'll see about that" Kransor said. He then added "However, if you do defeat me, somehow. You will be able to press that switch. However, you'll be facing me three times, and this is just the first battle"
*Meanwhile with Carliko*
As Carliko watches Link and Zelda prepare to fight Kransor, he said "I thought that Link didn't have the ability to transform into his Wolf form. Oh well, I'd have to watch for that, as he does seem to have the ability to paralyse some of my magic. Interesting"
*With Midna, Auru and Ilia*
Suddenly, Midna realises something shocking. She called Auru and Ilia, who ran over, and Midna said "Check this out, I didn't expect this" and at this, she pointed towards the same forest that they had looked at earlier to discover the passage between Hyrle and Termina, and Ilia quickly realised something.
"Isn't that some symbol of the ancestors of the Twili?" she asked, to which Midna nodded. Auru then said "What does this mean? Is there a fourth temple? Or what?" to which Midna, loking carefully at the markings, marked out by the shapes of the trees, said "No. It looks like, it's a song of some kind. Ilia, if I translate the notes from Twili to Hyliean, could you see if you can find what the song might be?" to which Ilia replied "Sure"
"I hope you know what you are doing Midna" Auru replied nervously.
Once Midna had translated the notes, and as Ilia went looking through various song book, Auru asked "How do you feel about Link, anyway? Like, do you have feeling for him?" Midna turned to face Auru and said "Yes, I do love him. I suspect he feels the same way. Through our travels six months ago we did seem to fall in love with each other, and it would make my life if Link stayed with me in the Twilight realm"
"That's really sweet. I do have one concern though" Auru said. Midna replied "Oh?"
"It's just, if Link does stay with you in the Twilight Realm, the cycle that happens here in Hyrle might be broken, plunging us into darkness" Auru said. Midna thought about this for a moment, then said "I'll have to look it up, but I think I read in that really old book that the controller of this time loop isn't the people, it's actually the Master Sword. And anyway" and at this Midna lifted an invisible sword, and said "It's his choice, but there is a Twilight version of the Master Sword. If he selects that sword, and therefore decides to stay with me, and Zelda returns the Master Sword to its original place, then the time loop won't be broken"
"Alright, I hope that will work" Auru replied.
Meanwhile with the Twili figure
The Twili figure floated onto the edge of the area that was between Termina and Hyrle. He went to walk towards the block that was present in front of him, but found a strange force blocking his progress.
"What the? Why can't I pass this area? I can't get to Lady Midna and her Hyliean friend" he said as he pushed against the strange barrier.
"Is there a song I can play that would allow me to pass this barrier?" the figure said. He had no idea what to do, so he stood at the entrance, as it seemed that Lady Midna and her Hyliean friend would find this area.
