Once Link and Zelda arrived in the chambers of Carliko.
"Hello, I've been waiting for you two, Link and Zelda" Carilko said. Link replied with "Not surprising. One quick question, are you the one who turned the sky black?"
"Yes, that was me. Now it's time to show you what I can do" Carliko said. He then stood up and generated a maze to force Zelda and Link to move across the maze to try and find him. At the same time, Carliko was sending Wallmasters, Floormasters and, weirdly, Roofmasters. Forcing Link and Zelda to destroy them.
"Is this part of Carliko's trickery?" Link asked as he destroyed a fifth master and a second Roofmaster.
"Probably" Zelda replied as another Floormaster tried to grab Zelda, but she destroyed it. Suddenly, the Maze changed shape, and Link was thrown back, doing 1 heart of damage to Link, reducing him to thirty-four hearts.
"Link, are you OK?" Zelda asked, to which Link replied "I'm fine"
"I'll strike the walls, try to stop him from changing the shapes of the maze" Zelda said, and she ran her staff against the walls, to stop Carliko from changing the maze. After a moment or two, Link and Zelda managed to get to the part of the arena where Carliko was waiting. Immediately, Carliko went to use a huge wind attack, but Link managed to block the wind attack using his shield. Zelda then started striking Carliko with arrows. She only managed to get five arrows into Carliko's shoulder before both were blown back and destroying the maze. The arrows did 2 hearts each, reducing Carliko to ninety hearts.
"Now what?" Zelda asked, to which Link replied, "We just attack him, though we do have to be careful, as he is a tricky opponent" and at this, Carliko duplicated himself into six. Immediately, the six of them fire energy blasts at them, dealing twelve hearts of damage to both, reducing Link to twenty-two hearts, and Zelda to twenty-three hearts.
"Do you have a light generating spell?" Link asked, to which Zelda shook her head. Link then replied, "Could you use a Light arrow as a substitute?", but they had to move as more energy beams were shot at them. Zelda fired a light arrow at the roof, and, for a moment, shadows were generated. However, Carliko was ready. Not only did he generate the clones, he could clone the Shadows too. Link slashed at two, but they disappeared, they were clones.
Zelda fired three arrows towards three Carliko's, and the last arrow hit the real Carliko.
"ARGH!" Carliko said. Link raced over and slashed him several times, until Carliko teleported, though his slashes did ten hearts of damage, reducing Carliko to eighty hearts.
"This guy's tough" Link said as he and Zelda pulled back to each other. Carliko smirked and said "Not bad. Now let's see if you can handle THIS!" and he seemed to cause the ground to disappear.
"What the?" Zelda asked. Link looked around but couldn't see where Carliko was.
"BOO!" Carliko said and slammed into them, dealing six hearts of damage to both Link and Zelda, reducing Link to sixteen hearts, and Zelda to seventeen hearts. Link and Zelda struck back immediately, with Zelda using a Light Arrow, and Link using three normal arrows. Once Carliko rematerialized, he had lost eleven hearts, dropping him to sixty-nine hearts.
"So, we've got him down about a third of the way" Link said, but Zelda replied with "Yeah, but we've lost at least half our health"
"Right" Link replied. Carliko then said "Not bad. But unless you change how this battle is going, I will defeat both of you"
"We'll just see about that" Link replied.
Carliko then seemed to generate three copies of himself. However, when Link and Zelda shot at the three clones, they vanished.
"What the?" Zelda asked, but Link looked up and saw Carliko charged at them. Link threw his shield up and stopped his charge, barely.
"Zelda, NOW!" Link said, and Zelda started whacking Carliko with her staff. It took a few seconds for Carliko to retreat, but by this point, he had taken another fourteen hearts of damage, reducing him to fifty-five hearts.
"Not bad" Carliko said. Then, he leaped up into the sky again and started shooting energy blasts at them. Link and Zelda leaped to nearby blocks, though Zelda took a heart of damage from one of the energy blasts, leaving her with sixteen hearts. Zelda then Started shooting arrows at him, all while dodging the energy blasts from Carliko.
"Sheesh, stop moving" Zelda said, as she struggled to both dodge the energy blasts and shoot arrows at him. She got him a few times, which, when combined with Linki's arrows into Carliko, knocks ten more hearts out of Carliko, reducing him to fifty hearts. Suddenly, as Carliko dropped back to the ground, he drops a huge bunch of energy blasts on the arena. A few hit Zelda and Link, doing four hearts of damage to them, reducing both to twelve hearts.
"So, now what?" Zelda asked. Link then got an idea, and said, "I'll use my Hookshot to try and strike him" and he equipped his Hookshot and shot it at Carliko. Carliko quickly avoided i, but was hit with Zelda's Light Arrow, dealing another ten hearts of damage, reducing Carliko to forty hearts. Then, the Hookshot wrapped itself around Carliko's leg.
"TAKE THIS!" Link yelled, and he tried to pull Carliko to the ground. But it didn't work, and instead, Link was pulled along by Carliko. Link pulled his hookshot in and managed to untangle himself before Carliko slammed into the ground, and Zelda stopped him taking any damage using her magic.
"Whew, that didn't work" Link said. Zelda replied with "So, what do we do?" to which Carliko replied tauntingly "Nothing" and then he lunged at Link, who had to stop him with his shield. This time, however, Carliko quickly knocked Link's shield away, and as he punched Link away, dealing 4 hearts of damage to Link, reducing him to eight hearts, Zelda shot another Light Arrow at him, reducing him to thirty hearts.
Shortly afterwards, though, Link crashed into Zelda, dealing 4 hearts of damage to Zelda, reducing her to eight hearts.
"Now, let's strike! Arrow storm!" Link said, rapidly firing arrows at Carliko, catching him a few times, and keeping Carliko on the move.
"Impudent ants, invisibility" Carliko said, just after his hearts were reduced to 20.
"Invisibility? Are you serious?" Link asked as he and Zelda regrouped. Zelda replied with "I have one Light Arrow left. If I can charge it for long enough, I can do the remaining 20 hearts as damage to Carliko. But you need to expose his outline"
"OK" Link said, then he got an idea. Looking at Zelda, Link said, "I'll go Wolf Link, the senses of Wolf Link are able to reveal invisible enemies" and at this, he transformed into a Wolf, and started racing around, generating his sensory powers to try and reveal Carliko. After a few attempts, he reveals an outline of Carliko. As soon as Carliko's outline was revealed, Zelda shot a Light Arrow at him, hitting him, and destroying him.
"How, did, you, defeat, me?" Carliko asked as he disintegrated.
With Zelda, Ilia and Auru
As Cariko was destroyed, Midna, Ilia and Auru notice the black sky return to a sky blue. Midna, smiling, said "Link and Zelda destroyed Carliko, his magic has evaporated", to which Auru added "Good, now let's hope that Link and Zelda have found the Oath to Order"
Back to Link and Zelda
"Whew, that was tough" Link said, to which Zelda nodded. They grabbed another heart piece, then head for the room behind them. When they entered the room, a familiar song was etched into the stone.
"Is this the Oath to Order?" Link asked, noticing the familiar note pattern. Zelda looks at the notes, and said "Yep, that's it". Link then gets up and plays the song. It doesn't do anything.
"Well that was disappointing" Link said. He and Zelda then departed.
About an hour later, Link and Zelda arrive back at Auru's house, where Link is quickly greeted by a big hug from Midna.
"Are you two OK?" Auru asked, to which Link replied "Yeah, I think. Carliko was tougher than Vexona or Normak, but we're OK now".
"Alright. Link, do you have the Oath to Order?" Auru asked, to which Link nodded. Ilia then said, "Can either of you identify this song?" to which Link said, "We can try", and at this, Ilia ran off to grab it.
After a few minutes, Ilia returns with a piece of paper that contains six notes.
"I don't know, but it looks like it maybe an old Twili song maybe?" to which Midna shrugged, while Zelda said "I don't know what to do. However, that doesn't matter. We do have to head out towards the forest where the Hero of Time travelled to and from Termina"
"Thanks for the company Auru" Midna said as they left. Ilia then added "Be careful, both of you", to which Link replied "We will, don't worry" they then departed.
After about twenty minutes, Link, Zelda and Midna arrive at the entrance to the forest that the Hero of Time had put up a barrier around the entrance to the forest.
"Are you kidding me? The Hero of Time must have been paranoid about protecting Termina from attacks from Ganon and other forces" Link said, surprised by the unexpected barrier stopping them from progressing.
"I guess we should use this song that Ilia had found to bring down the barrier?" Zelda asked, to which Link nodded, got out his Ocarina, and played the song that Midna showed to him. The barrier came down, but then Link saw the barrier start to re-appear.
"WHOA! A timed removal, we must run" Link said, and they ran into the forest. Within 30 seconds, the barrier was back. Link smiled, then said "The Hero of Time is truly an incredible person"
"I agree" Zelda said.
Midna then adde,d "Weren't we meant to keep moving through the forest towards the entrance to Termina?"
"Right" both Link and Zelda said, and they walked further in.
After about ten more minutes of walking, the entrance to Termina slowly appeared out of the mist. Or at least, the entrance would have appeared, if several Time Blocks appeared in front of what Lnk, Zelda and Midna assumed would be the entrance.
"Link, do you know the Song of Time?" Midna asked, to which Link nodded. He then got out his Ocarina, and started playing the Song of Time to move the Time Blocks from the entrance to Termina.
As Link removed each time block, Midna asked "Are there any more songs that will be required to pass into Termina?", to which her question was answered, by a voice from the other side of the Time Blocks.
"Midna? Is that you?" he asked, and Midna, recognising the voice, said "Astron? Is that you?", to which the figure said "Midna! You're here, is your Hyliean friend with you?"
"Yeah, I'm here, and so is Zelda. Midna, who is this?" Link asked, to which Midna replied with "It's one of my guards, Astron"
"How do you know which Twili it is?" Zelda asked, puzzled, to which Midan replied "I recognise his voice. Now Link, finish moving the damn Time Blocks"
"Alright" Link said, and he continued to play his Ocarina to remove the remaining Time Blocks. And when the last Time Block was removed, the Twili figure was revealed.
"There's a barrier in the way, what are you going to do?" Astron asked, to which Midna replied "Do you have a musical instrument?" to which Astron nodded, and showed off his flute.
"Alright. Link, play the Oath to Order to him" to which Link nodded, and played the song on his Ocarina. Then, when Astron played it back, the barrier disappeared. Astron ran out to Midna and hugged her.
"It's so good to see you" Astron said. He then saw Midna' foot and said "You're hurt. How did you do that?" to which Midna replied "As I leapt for the Hyrle realm, I busted my ankle"
"Alright. I can heal it for you, if you want" Astron said. Midna nodded, and Astron cast a spell, and fixed up Midna's smashed ankle.
"Thanks" Midna said, slowly putting weight on it to test its strength.
"So, are we heading to Termina?" Link asked, to which Astron nodded.
"So, Link, you're the Hyliean friend that Midna's been talkinga bout?" Astrona sked, and Link nodded. As they headed in, Link asked, "Am I not going to be able to introduce myself to anybody in the Twilight Realm?" to which Midna replied, smiling, with "Yep"
"OK" Link replied.
Meanwhile with the boss
"The three demons of Hyrle have failed. Midna has made it to Termina with Link and Zelda" the figure said. He then opened a communication line to Zant, and when Zant bowed, he said "My lord, the Twilight Dial has been destroyed. There is now no way for them to enter the Twilight Realm"
"Good, Zant. Now, I should warn you. The three of them have the powers of the Goddess Seal. You'll need to be more careful to defeat them" the figure said. Zant nodded, and the communication was cut.
"Good luck Zant, you'll need it" he said.
