As Link, Zelda and Midna enter the Woodfall Temple, they notice that it hasn't changed one bit in a century. The mossy earth and walls were still there, and the flowers were still around. There was, however, some changes.

"Force fields, just like in the Magic Temple" Link said, noticing the strange fields that impeded their progress.

"So, what do we do?" Zelda asked. Midna then saw a switch and said "I can't see any ledges to the right, but there is one to the left. Maybe I can try that" Midna said. Zelda nodded, and Midna floated over. As soon as she landed, she was ambushed by a Chaos Dragonfly. Midna fired a pulse of energy at the dragonfly to counter the sonic waves being emitted, and it did half the dragonfly's hearts in damage. A second blast from Midna's staff destroyed it. It also made a switch appear.

"Interesting. Looks like I'll have to stand on it to activate it" Midna said. She then stepped on the switch, and it slumped down, also removing one trail to the force field.

"Alright. Now, Zelda, I can just see what looks like a ledge over there, you can get over to it, right?" Link asked. After a quick look, Zelda saw it.

"Yeah, I should be able to" she replied. She then floated over, and, again, she was ambushed. But this time, it was by a Chaos Skulltula, which hit her and did 1 heart of damage, reducing her to thirty-six hearts.

"Damn you" Zelda said. She then stabbed it with her staff and took it out in one blow. Just like with Midna, a switch appeared. Zelda stepped on it, and the force field disappeared completely.

Link then realized something.

"Uh, I can't reach that far, not even as Wolf Link" he called. Zelda then got an idea. She came off the switch, which re-activated the force field, and used her magic to guide Link over to the platform.

"Thanks. I think I should be the one to step on the switch though" Link said. Zelda nodded, and when Link stepped on the switch, turning the force field off again, Zelda floated onto the next platform. She activated another switch, and, initially, it seemed like nothing had happened. However, when Link stepped off his switch, the force field didn't return. Nor did it return when Midna stepped off hers and made her way back to Link and Zelda.

"Alright, now we proceed" Zelda said. She guided Link over, and soon, they went through the first door.

As soon as they crossed into the second room, they were attacked by a Chaos Baba. Midna took the bite, taking a heart of damage, lowering her to thirty-six hearts. Zelda then stunned it, and Link slashed its stalk with his sword, killing it in one strike.
"Aright. Now what?" Midna asked. She looked around and saw that the door to the left was covered by a force field, which had three trails, all leading to the door on the right.

"So, we have to get to the door over there" Midna said, pointing to the door. Link nodded, then said "There's a way to get there", and as he said that, he pointed to a platform to their left, significantly below them.

"Alright" Zelda said. She then realized something, and asked "Wait, how are we getting down there?" to which Midna replied "Well, we float down there of course", however, as soon as she did, she landed on what seemed like solid air.

"What the?" Midna asked. Link looked around and saw a small platform where a switch was present.

"Maybe I can use the Double Clawshot to get across" Link said. Zelda looked at him and asked, "Are you sure?"

"With a little help from you, I can" Link replied. Zelda nodded, then used her magic to generate a platform for Link to ride. Link went out until he was near the tree stump, then fired his double clawshot at it. It didn't connect the first time, but the second time it did and pulled him to the stump.

"Whoa! Ah, ah, ah, ah" Link said as he found that he had come dangerously close to the poison water. He pulled himself up, then used the other half of the double clawshot to grab a torch on the other ledge. He rocketed to it, and, after a few moments, managed to get himself onto the platform.

"Whew, close one Link" both Zelda and Midna said. Link then saw another Chaos Dragonfly attack him. He slashes it with his sword but is hit by a shockwave from the Chaos Dragonfly, dealing 1 heart of damage, reducing Link to thirty-six hearts. A second swords slash defeated the Chaos Dragonfly and caused another switch to appear. Link pressed it, and the invisible platform became a slide that allowed Zelda and Midna to slide down to the platform. A second path appeared for Link, so he could return to them.

"You had us worried for a moment there" Midna said, to which Link added "That was a bit hairy, not gonna lie"

"Now, if I remember correctly, we can't touch these, or they'll eat us, or at least, that's what the Hero of Time wrote" Zelda said. Link nodded, then added "So we need to freeze them somehow"

"I'll try" Midna said. She then cast as freezing charm on the first plant, and firstly Zelda, then Link in his Wolf form, crossed. Midna followed, and after two more freeze spells they were across and into the third room.

"So, now what?" Midna asked as they looked around. Soon, Link saw something rather odd. Tracing the trails, he had seen from the second room, he saw that one each led to one of the three doors leading off from this room. He also noticed a number one above each of the doors.

"There's a one on each of the three doors, wonder what that means" Link said. Midna floated over to one, opened the door, and said "Only one way to find out"

"Good luck" Link and Zelda called to her at the same time. Midna went through the door, and it closed. And the counter went to zero.

"Well, looks like we'll have to tackle three parts of the dungeon on our lonesome" Link said. Zelda nodded, and she headed for the door on the other side. Link went to the door opposite to where they came in, using his double clawshot to cross over the poison water without touching it.

With Midna

Midna found herself in a strange room with four Deku Flowers, and four Chaos Snappers. Upon her entry, the Snappers charged at her. She dodged them and fired a magic shot from her staff at them, though the attack did no damage.

"Hm" Midna said. She dodged them again and decided to use her floating spell on one of them. She grabs one with the magic, floats it into the air, then strikes it twice with her staff, destroying it.

"Alright, so if I get one of them in the air, I can use my staff to destroy them" Midna said. She did this to each of the other three and destroyed them all.

"Alright then" Midna said. A chest then appeared in the middle of the room, along with the revealing of a switch. Midna noticed the trail from the previous two rooms finished at this switch. Midna walked up to it and pressed it, turning the trail off. Midna then walked up to the chest, opened it, and found a Small Key. The door back then opened, and Midna returned through it.

Meanwhile with Zelda

Zelda meanwhile had found herself in a room with a four-way passageway, spiked wooden fences, a block with the Majora's Mask inscribed on it, and more poisonous water. Zelda pushed the block and moved along the right-hand walkway, which went around much further than the others, seemingly. A Chaos Skulltula attacked, but she destroyed it with a few magic strikes.

Zelda then followed the track and found that it looped. Moving the block to the other side, she went through the other door in the room, and found herself face-to-face with four Chaos Dragonflies, who all immediately use their Wind Attacks, dealing 4 hearts of damage to Zelda, reducing her to thirty-two hearts. Zelda quickly retaliated with her own wind spell, knocking the Chaos Dragonflies down. Before they could recover, Zelda ran over and stabbed them. One managed to recover quickly enough to leap back up, but Zelda, this time, was ready. She blocked the Chaos Dragonfly's attack with her shield, then destroyed it with one attack.

"Whew" Zelda said as the chest appeared. She opened it and found a Dungeon Map. At the same time, she saw the trail from the previous two rooms connects to a switch which had finally appeared. She walked over and pressed it, and the trail disappeared.

"Cool" Zelda said. She then returned to the center area.

Meanwhile with Link

As soon as Link enters his area, he finds himself in a room with just two platforms, a small ledge barely big enough to hold him, and a large web blocking access to a switch, where, Link noticed, the final trail from the previous two rooms ended.

"Alright. Let's go" Link said. He climbed the stairs and is attacked by two Chaos Dragonflies. He's hit by both, taking two hearts of damage, reducing him to thirty-four hearts. Link got out his bow and shot them multiple times. After several arrows, he destroyed the Chaos Dragonflies.

"OK, let's keep going" Link said. He then finished climbing the stairs and saw a force field blocking he path towards the web.

"Now, let's get over to that ledge" Link said. A Chaos Deku then appeared within one of the Deku Flowers and attacked Link, but Link stopped it with his shield. He shot an arrow at the Chaos Deku and destroyed it. Link then turned into Wolf Link and leapt across the ledges to the other side of the room. He turned back, then he pressed the switch, and the force field disappeared.

"Great" Link said. He returned to his Wolf Form, leaped onto the first platform, and when another Chaos Deku jumped up, Wolf Link leaped at him and began to bite repeatedly, until the Deku was destroyed. He returned to his human form and noticed that wooden candles had appeared on each platform, and on the platform connected to the stairs.

"Alright. Now, let's do this" Link said. He used his fire arrows to light the candles. Once he did, another candle appeared. Link shot the candle with his fire arrow, then uses his double clawshot to leap across to the platform with the webs. Catching the stick he'd collected from the Chaos Baba on the flame in the candle, and burned the web down. He then pressed the switch, and the trail was turned off.

At the same time, the force field blocking their progress had disappeared. Link returned to the previous room and met up with Zelda and Midna.

Once the three of them had met up, Midna said "Alright, that force field is gone. Now, let's get through to the next room" and so they did.

When they enter the door, they're attacked by a giant Chaos Dragonfly.

"Here we go, a mid-boss" Midna said. They had to dodge its air blasts, and they started attacking with either arrows in Link's case, or Magic bolts in Zelda's and Midna's cases. The dragonfly then releases a windstorm, dealing five hearts of damage to all of them, reducing Zelda to twenty-seven hearts, Link to twenty-nine hearts and Midna to thirty-one hearts.

"Take THIS!" Link said, shooting an arrow at him. It hit and did more damage. The dragonfly suddenly flew up out of sight and started raining fireballs down at them.

"Reflection" Midna said. She cast a spell and caught one of the fireballs. She then shot it at an area near where the dragonfly was dropping its fireballs, and it hit and killed it.

"Well done Midna" Link and Zelda both said. A moment later, two chests appear. When Link and Zelda open it, they each find a small key. The room the lightens up and reveals three doors and a set of stairs blocked, once again, by a force field with three trails, one leading through each door.

"Well, here we go" Zelda said. She walked up to one of the doors, put the small key into it, opened the door and went in. Midna and Link followed with their respective doors.

With Zelda

As soon as Zelda arrives in the room, one Zant Mask appears in front of her. The Zant Mask immediately launches a blast of magic at her, but she avoids it.

"Alright, what do I do?" Zelda asked herself. Another magic blast was stopped with a spell from Zelda, and a third was shot back at the mask, which hit, but didn't defeat it.

"So, I just need to send these blasts back at the mask to defeat it? OK" Zelda said. She avoided another one and deflected the next magic blast back to the Zant Mask. This happened twice more, and on the fourth strike, the Zant mask was destroyed.

"Cool" Zelda said. A switch appeared, with the trail ending here. After pressing the switch, the trail disappears. Zelda then notices a chest which had fallen behind it. She heads over to it and collects the heart piece inside, boosting all three of them to thirty-eight hearts. She then returns and waits for Midna and Link.

Meanwhile with Midna

As soon as Midna entered the room, she had that horrible feeling hit her again. The magic that she had first felt the previous night that had scared her so badly. Suddenly a swarm of Chaos Boe's attack her.

"Stupid things" Midna said, shooting magic bolts at them. She quickly destroyed them, and the source of the magic was revealed. Phantom Zant.

"A Phantom Zant? So, he's behind this after all" Midna said.

Phantom Zant then generated a ball. Midna immediately knew she had to use now to attack. She charged in and struck with her staff five times, each blow doing five hearts of damage, reducing Phantom Zant from sixty-five hearts to forty hearts.

"Now I have to fight whatever comes out" Midna said, watching them. A huge swarm of Chaos Bats then charge in. Midna blasts them as hard as she can, but a few still hit her before she can destroy them all, dealing a combined 4 hearts of damage and reducing Midna to twenty-seven hearts.

Phantom Zant wildly teleported around several more times, before generating another ball. Midna struck again, hitting four more times, reducing Phantom Zant to twenty-five hearts.

"Chaos Baba's, here we go" Midna said. She jumped out of the way of their bites, and she struck them down with one of her spells, one by one. Finally, after some more wild teleporting, Phantom Zant did one more.

"NOT THIS TIME!" Midna yelled, striking again. This time, she did enough damage to destroy Phantom Zant, who exploded into a cloud of darkness. The magic that scared Midna also disappeared.

"Whew" Midna said. She collected her heart piece, restoring her health and increasing it for all three of them to thirty-nine.

"Now, where's the chest?" Midna asked. She looked around and found a fire source. Grabbing one of the Deku sticks, she lights it and lights the torches around the room. Light is restored, and a switch appears, connected to the trail. Midna presses it, and the trail disappears. Midna then heads back.

Meanwhile with Link

Link enters his room and sees a Chaos Knuckle at the other side of the bottom of the room he was in. All of the platforms were covered in Force Fields.

"Alright, so I'm going to have to destroy this guy" Link said. The Iron Knuckle swung its massive sword at Link, which he blocked with his shield, though the shock of it still did one heart of damage to Link, reducing him to twenty-eight hearts.

"Take THIS" Link said and proceeded to start stabbing the Iron Knuckle. After just three hits, the Iron Knuckle retreated, having taken fifteen hearts of damage, reducing the Iron Knuckle to Forty hearts.

"Now, let's see what you've got" Link said, and both he and the Iron Knuckle locked swords.

"Whoa, that sword is powerful" Link said. He pushed the Iron Knuckle back, and stabbed it again, reducing it to Thirty-Five hearts. One more hit shattered the Armor. Suddenly, the Iron Knuckle strikes Link with its sword, dealing ten hearts of damage to Link, reducing him to Eighteen hearts. Link recovered and dodged the next sword strike. He then shot a couple of arrows into the Iron Knuckle, reducing the Iron Knuckle to Twenty hearts. Link had to dodge multiple Sword strikes from the Iron Knuckle, and even stopped the swinging sword.

"Now, let's end this' Link said. He then charged in and repeatedly slashed the Iron Knuckle until it died.

"Alright, now I'm going to need some hearts" Link said to himself. The switch then appeared, along with a chest. When Link opened the chest, he found a heart piece, which restored his health, and increased their health to forty hearts. Link then pressed the switch, and the last trail, along with the force field, disappeared.

"Now to head back, hopefully, Zelda and Midna have won inside their rooms" Link said as he headed back the way he came.

Soon, the three of them met up again.

"Well, we have just one, maybe two rooms left" Zelda said. Midna and Link nodded, and they headed for the door. When they opened it, they found themselves in a special room. There was only one thing there, a chest.

"Right, something is not right here" Link said. He got out his bow and shot it. It came to life, a Chaos Ghost, a mysterious entity that inhabits objects. Link started shooting arrows at it, trying to keep its attention while Zelda and Midna ran behind to it attack. Each arrow did only one heart of damage, but the combined force of all those arrows with Zelda's and Midna's most powerful energy last forced the spirit to flee.

"Well, that wasn't so bad" Link said. He then opened the chest and discovered a boss key inside. Zelda and Midna then broke all the jars they could, and all three of them fully replenished their magic power.

"This is it" Link said. The three of them walked up to the door and placed the key in. The door clinked, the chains broke off, and they opened the door.
