As soon as they entered the boss room, Zelda said "Whoa, we've healed suddenly" to which Midna added "Good, we're going to need it"
"Here comes the boss" Link said as a Giant Mechanical Chaos Bull charged in next to them.
"So, you made it. Well done. If you want to get the last piece of the Fierce Deity's Mask, you'll have to defeat me, Bullar. I also know that if you win, you'll complete that clock thing in the town" the Bull said. He then charged off, dropping chaos bombs behind him, and as he did, he added "Just try to keep up, let alone attack me". Link knew immediately that the bombs will have to be destroyed for them to stand a chance against him.
Bullar charged around the arena, and once he'd completed a lap, he rammed across and smashed the bombs. The bombs exploded but did no damage to Bullar. Link then got an idea. Steeping out, he raised his arrow and, when Bullar appeared, Link shot an arrow, then quickly dived out of the way. The arrow did five hearts of damage to Bullar, reducing him to one-hundred and seventy hearts.
"STRIKE!" Link yelled, and both Midna and Zelda fired magic bolts at him, dealing combined ten hearts of damage, reducing Bullar to one-hundred and sixty hearts.
"Good, now take this" Bullar said as Link returned to Zelda and Midna. Bullar then dropped a Big Bomb, before charging off. Link used his shield to reduce the damage they took from the blast to three hearts, reducing all three to thirty-two hearts.
"OK, now what?" Zelda asked, to which Midna replied: "Remember what we did against that Fire Goron?"
"Yeah, but do we have anything to move it with?" Zelda asked, to which Midna shook her head.
"Then we'll just have to bring him down the hard way" Link said, looking around and watching for the bull. Soon, Bullar returned, kneeled a bit, and said "I'll just cave in that area if you three are still there on my next run around"
"Oh, shoot" Zelda said. Bullar then charged off, and they headed outward, just in time, as it collapsed, shocking them.
"Well, now you have what you need to do that" Link said. He then started shooting the bombs in their way with arrows, as Bullar charged around, seemingly having changed direction mid-charge.
Quickly, all three of them were hit, however Link had managed to barely avoid being trampled by grabbing Bullar's horns and holding on for dear life. The charge had done ten hearts of damage to both Zelda and Midna, reducing them to twenty-two hearts. Link had taken six hearts of damage, reducing him to twenty-six hearts. Zelda and Midna quickly recovered, and shot two bolts at him each, dealing twenty hearts of damage to Bullar, reducing him to one-hundred and forty hearts.
"Let's go" Zelda said. Midna nodded, and they raced after Bullar and Link.
Link soon realised that Bullar was soon going to charge into a rockface to inflict a huge amount of damage to him, so he used his body weight to swing onto the right horn, and let go, managing to avoid being gored or charged into the wall, and as he did, he drew his sword and struck Bullar in the side with his sword.
Combining the strike from Link's Master Sword and Bullar charging into the wall dealt thirty hearts of damage to Bullar, reducing him to one-hundred and thirty hearts.
Link, however, had taken one heart of damage in the fall, reducing him to twenty-five hearts.
"Ouch, good move Link" Bullar said as Link pulled himself up, and Zelda and Midna arrived. They went to shoot magic at them, but Bullar had put a shield up to avoid it.
"Wait, how come you haven't used this shield?" Zelda asked, to which Bullar replied: "It's so you can't damage me while I recover, and until I've gotten away enough from you three to avoid you guys inflicting damage". Bullar then charged away, and just as he charged out of sight, the shield disappeared.
"Let's get out attacks ready" Link said, getting his arrow ready, and Zelda and Midna get their magic bolts ready. And when Bullar charged at them, they fired their attacks at once, which hit at the same time, dealing fifteen hearts of damage, reducing Bullar to one-hundred and fifteen hearts.
"Now, RUN!" Link said, shooting the bombs dropped to allow a passage for Zelda and Midna.
"DODGE!" Link yelled as Bullar charged at them, and they barely avoided being trampled, though Link was still clipped, dealing three hearts of damage to Link, reducing him to twenty-two hearts.
"Hang on, he's not dropping bombs anymore" Link said, puzzled. Zelda then realized something, and said, "Let's group together, I think he's trying a new attack" and both Link and Midna ran to Zelda, and good thing too. Bullar charged in with what looked like missiles, and Link blocked the attacks, which allowed Zelda and Midna to counter-attack, shooting magic bolts at him, dealing ten hearts of damage to Bullar, reducing him to one-hundred and five hearts.
"OK, how does that bloody shield withstand my chaos missile attack?" Bullar asked, to which Link replied "It's a special shield created by the Hylian forgers, it's all but indestructible"
"Interesting" Bullar replied. He then charged off.
"Are you two alright?" Link asked, to which Zelda and Midna nodded. Link smiled, then said "This is probably going to become a battle of attrition"
"If it becomes a battle of attrition, then we'll probably lose it" Midna said. Link replied "I know. Which is why we must strategize" but then he got an idea.
"Remember the collapsed entrance to the previous room?" Link asked, to which both Zelda and Midna replied: "Yeah, we do".
"Well, what if you two set up barriers against his charging, we can slow him down, and maybe even damage him. One of you two magic-charge my arrows, and we can do additional damage" Link said. Midna asked "Can we enchant your arrows?" to which Zelda replied, "Use my arrows, you can enchant them", to which Link nodded. They narrowly avoided another charge, but were damaged by the energy missiles, dealing five hearts of damage to all of them, reducing them to seventeen hearts.
Link, Zelda, and Midna ran after him and managed to get to the caved-in entrance.
"Get the barriers up you two, quickly please" Link said. Zelda and Midna nodded and used their magic to start generating barriers on both sides, just in case Bullar had turned around.
As it turned out, he had.
"Girls, he's turned around again" Link said, and, grabbing one of Zelda's arrows, Midna quickly enchanted it, and Link shot him as he crashed through the barriers. The arrow missed, but only because Bullar had adjusted his course. However, this had led to him crashing into the rockface. The combined force of the barriers and the rockface dealt twenty hearts of damage to Bullar, reducing him to eighty-five hearts.
Bullar recovered, and stomped on the ground twice, causing part of it to fall away.
"He's just made a big mistake by doing that" Link said. Bullar then raced off again, causing the ground to shake as he did. Link then said "This time, I'll help you. Get one of these remaining pieces upwards, and I'll use the Clawshot to help get it up as high as possible. OK?"
"Alright" Zelda and Midna said together. The three of them then tried to pull it up, but were not quick enough, and had to fire off arrows and magic bolts to damage him. They were all hit by his next attack, though, and dealt ten hearts of damage to all three, leaving them with seven hearts. However, the arrows and magic bolts combined did twenty-five hearts of damage to Bullar, reducing him to sixty hearts.
"Now, quick, let's try it again" Link said, using his Clawshot to start pulling the piece up again, with Zelda and Midna assisting with their magic. This time, it worked, and Bullar was stopped in his tracks when he crashed into the wall, dealing ten hearts of damage to him, reducing him to fifty hearts. Even better, although he did get through it, he was trapped. Allowing the combined might of Link, Zelda and Midna to finally bring him down.
"Well done, you actually defeated me. I don't know how, but you did it" Bullar said. He then disintegrated, and left behind both a heart piece, which was used to heal all three of them back to thirty-five hearts, but also the key to the next room. Zelda grabbed it, they walked over to the exit, where a force field that was present there had disappeared, put the key in the lock, and the three of them entered the final room of the Temple.
Upon entry to the final room, the lamps lit up, revealing a large chest in the middle of the room.
"Well, this is it. In there, is the last piece of Fierce Deity's Mask" Link said. He slowly walked up to the chest and opened it. Inside, was the final piece of Fierce Deity's mask. When he grabbed it, it glowed, and fused with the other two parts of the mask.
"Well done, you have reconstructed my mask. Now, take me to where the Mask of Majora is, and I'll use my power to separate it from the guy you want to fight" the voice of Fierce Deity said. Shocked, Link asked "How do you know?"
"I've been listening to you and Astron since Astron obtained me" the voice of Fierce Deity replied. Link nodded, and the three of them headed out, with the mask of Fierce Deity in Link's hand.
Meanwhile with Dangaros
As soon as Bullar was defeated, Dangaros watched as the snow and ice defrosted, to the cheers of the Goron.
"They did it, they lifted the curse" Dangaros said.
Soon, Link, Zelda, and Midna had arrived back in the Goron Village, where Dangaros was waiting for them.
"Well done you three, it must have been tough, but thanks to you three, the curse has been lifted" Dangaros said. All three nodded, and Link replied "It was tough, but we got through. And, we now have the full mask of Fierce Deity"
"Good. Now, you'll have to get back to Clock Town, I think that the clock there might be fully coloured in" Dangaros said. They nodded, then headed back towards Clock Town.
Meanwhile with Astron
As Astron continued to read, Nanarol realized something.
"Uh, Astron, I think you're missing something" she said. Astron looked at her, and asked: "Missing something?"
"Like about your ancestry" Nanarol replied, to which Astron said "I know that the Twili are the descendants of the Interlopers, I just didn't expect the Interlopers to have affected Hyrule and Termina"
"I can get you the book that will tell you why" Nanarol replied. Astron nodded, and Nanarol headed out for a bit. About ten minutes later, she returned with a small book.
"Here you go" Nanarol said. Astron looked through it and discovered that the fight between Majora and the Fierce Deity took place across what became Hyrule and Termina, and eventually concluded with the sealing of both Majora and the Fierce Deity in Termina. This was also why Termina was cut off from Hyrule, and the Interlopers were banished to the Twilight Realm.
"So Hyrule, Termina and the Twilight Realm were all connected at one point?" Astron asked, to which Nanarol replied "Yes, it was. The passage between the Twilight Realm and Termina is located inside the Stone Tower Temple, and there's a special object inside that allows access"
"Knowing our luck, Zant'll have smashed it" Astron replied, to which Astron added "Fierce Deity has the power to repair it"
"Cool" Astron said, closing the book. Nanarol then said, "Do you want me to return the books?" to which Astron replied "Yes please, that would be great. I'll be heading to the clock, I'm sensing that my lady, her boyfriend and the Hylian Princess are close to achieving their goal" Astron said. He then departed as Nanarol returned the books.
Back to Link, Zelda and Midna
"So, should we return to the clock in Clock Town? It should be filled in" Link said, to which both Zelda and Midna nodded. Soon, they arrive out the front of the clock, where, sure enough, the clock was fully filled in, and now pointing at Ikana canyon to the East. They also met Astron.
"Alright. I have some information for you" Astron said, to which Link, Zelda and Midna nodded. Astron informed them about what he had found out, and Midna said "If Zant knows about the special object, he'll have smashed it by now"
"Apparently, Fierce Deity has the power to fix it" Astron replied. The voice of Fierce Deity then said "You'll have to head to the entrance of the Stone Tower Temple, through the Ikana Canyon. You'll also have to reach it by midnight tonight, so you can get in"
"OK. What time is it?" Link asked, to which Astron replied "About 2pm. I think we'd better get to sleep now, and wake up about 10pm, so we can get ready to go"
"Alright" Link said, and they headed towards the Stock Pot Inn.
A bit after half-past ten at night, Zelda, Link, Midna, and Astron had met up out the front of the Stock Pot Inn.
"So, let's get going. We have to head to the east, through the Ikana Canyon" Link said. A figure then ran up to them, revealed to be Nanarol.
"Nanarol, why are you here?" Astron asked, to which she replied "I have to warn you four, Ikana Canyon has been cursed by the Interlopers. The curse was knocked down for a while by the Hero of Time, but it appears that this Zant person has re-ignited the curse again"
"Oh, well thanks for telling us that Nanarol" Astron said. She then put her hand up and said "I'm not done. I've also found out, that Fierce Deity needs a host body. And to face Majora with the power of this Zant guy, he probably needs a Twili host"
"I'll be the host, I had a funny feeling that I would be the one that would put on the mask, and I guess I was right" Astron said. Nanarol gasped, then hugged Astron unexpectedly, to which Astron could only reply by returning it.
"Please be safe" Nanarol said, to which Astron replied "The four of us will do our best to make sure that I return safely, I promise Nanarol" this made Nanarol smile, then she ran off again.
"Well, let's get going" Astron said. Zelda then asked, "Are we going to have to carry you until we reach the boss room?" to which Astron replied "Probably. Apparently Fierce Deity doesn't work properly unless he's in a boss room"
"Ok" Midna said. The four of them then headed for the Ikana Canyon.
Soon, they find themselves on the Eastern side of Termina Field, where a number of old and worn stone pillars were present on the ground.
"Eerie" Midna said. She then turned to face Astron, and said "You'd better stick really close to us"
"Don't worry milady, I will" Astron said. They then proceeded into the desolate canyon, where they encounter Chaos Bombchus. Link, Zelda and Midna quickly destroyed them with either Link's Arrows or Zelda's and Midna's Magic Bolts, meaning that Astron didn't have to do anything.
Soon, they reach the entrance, which is nearly ten meters above them.
"You three should be able to float up there, I'll Clawshot up there" Link said. Zelda, Midna and Astron nodded, and floated up, while Link took out his Clawshot, lined it up, and shot it at a nearby tree stump, allowing him to ascend to the ledge.
As they proceed, they are ambushed by Chaos Nejiron's, and Astron used a spell to temporarily stun them, allowing the four of them to race past, all the while avoiding the falling rocks.
Soon, they arrive at the next stage of Ikana Canyon.
The area had a very high ledge where the Stone Tower stood at the very top. Nearby was a house with a Music Box on it. There's also a large river full of Chaos Octorocks and, next to the river, the lower ledge that they had just arrived at.
"What a place" Midna said as she observed it. Link looked around and saw a possible way to get to the other side. He finds, once again, that their path is blocked by a force field. He tracks the trail and finds a cave or tunnel where the trail runs off to.
"This way" Link said, motioning to Zelda, Midna and Astron to follow him. They headed across towards a cave, which was revealed to be nothing more than a tunnel to the other side. There, they find a Chaos Deku waiting for them. Quickly, it starts firing Deku Nuts at them, but they're blocked by Link's shield. Zelda and Midna fire magic bolts and destroy it in a few hits. As the proceed, the terrain gets quickly quite steep. Soon, they find a switch on the other side of the river.
"I'll handle it" Astron said. He used his powers to teleport over to the other ledge, flick the switch, and disable the force field.
"Great" Midna called. Astron them quickly teleported back, and just in time too, as the ledge quickly crumbled.
"No worries" Astron said. They then headed back, but as they attempted to cross the river, they were ambushed by Chaos Octorocks, all four getting hit by a rock each, dealing two hearts of damage to Link, Zelda, and Midna, reducing them to thirty-three hearts, and Seven hearts to Astron, reducing him to thirteen hearts. Astron uses his paralyzing spell to immobilize them before they can attack again, allowing Wolf Link to cross to the other side, and Zelda and Midna to float to a ledge about a third of the way up the cliff. Link uses his Clawshot to reach that ledge, and Astron teleports up to them.
"Well, that proved that you definitely need to be protected at all costs" Midna said, surprised at how much damage Astron took. Astron shook his head, and said, "It's fine" and cast a spell to slowly heal himself. After a few minutes, his health was back at twenty hearts.
"We'd better get going then" Link said, and the continued.
