"So, where's this red symbol?" Link asked. He looked around, then asked "Could one of you please warp over to the left-hand switch and stand on it?"
"Sure" Midna replied. She warped over, and pressed the switch, which revealed a yellow symbol with a red switch on it. Link shot it with an arrow, and as soon as he did, but before it activated, Midna warped back to them.
The tower flipped over on its head, but Zelda and Midna managed to stop Link and Astron plummeting. Soon, they found themselves on another ledge.
"So, now we can access the Twilight Dial, and where Zant is?" Midna asked, to which Link nodded.
"Let's go" Astron said, and they leapt across the platforms towards the now upside-down Stone Tower Temple.
Meanwhile
Zant, who has the Mask of Majora over his face, felt the Stone Tower Temple flip upside-down.
"So, they've figured out how to flip the temple. They're a step closer to me, but they'll never win. I'll crush Zelda, Link and Astron, and capture Midna for the boss" Zant said, before laughing nefariously.
Back to Link, Zelda, Midna and Astron.
They enter the first room they had entered when the Temple was right-side up, but upside-down, there were a few pathways spreading across, but no ground like the other way.
"So, we're going through this temple again, but it's going to be very different second time through" Astron said, to which everyone nodded. Link looked around, and saw, now on the roof, and impossible to see before, a switch.
"Zelda, there's a switch up there. Can you shoot it?" Link asked, and Zelda shot it with her arrow, and the bars over a door was removed, allowing Link, Zelda, Midna and Astron to access the next room.
As soon as they enter the next room, they find a sunblock blocking their way almost immediately.
"OK, we need a sunbeam" Astron said. Link looked around and found another symbol.
"Right, I'll get that one" Link said, shooting the sun sticker, which generated a sunbeam which destroyed the sunblock. They then proceeded into the next room.
When they arrived in the next room, they need a few moments to figure out what they needed to do. After about thirty seconds, they see the holes in the top with a wind blowing upward.
"I'm guessing that the Deku Scrubs were needed to pass through this room" Astron said. Link then added "So, there seems to be at least one switch in this room"
"Link, I'll lower you down, then you can hit that switch over there" Midna said, pointing to the wall where a switch was, where nobody could hit it. Link nodded, and Midna lowered him to the lower level, where he could shoot the switch, and a chest appeared.
"I'll get it" Astron said, and he warped over to the chest. When he opened it, he found a strange key?
"What's this? It's not a key to a boss room, but it's not a small key either" Astron said, puzzled. He then warped back as Midna pulled Link back to their ledge.
"Guys, look up there, there's another path. There's no door across from us, except for way up there" Zelda said, looking up.
"Alright. Link, you grab onto me, and I'll take you up there. Then, Zelda, Astron, you two can warp" Midna said. Link nodded, grabbed onto Midna, then she floated both up. Zelda and Astron warp to them afterwards.
Here, they discover a Chaos Deku Scrub shooting at them. Link managed to block the attack, while Midna fired off Magical Bolts to destroy the Chaos Deku Scrub in a couple of hits.
"Alright. Where to next?" Zelda asked, to which Link replied "This door is locked, so we can't proceed through there"
"So where do we go?" Astron asked, to which Link, seeing a ledge way up high, said "Up there"
"Alright" Midna replied. Link grabbed onto her again, and they floated over to the ledge. Once again, Zelda and Astron warp over to them.
As it turned out, the door was unlocked, allowing them to proceed.
When the four of them arrived in the next room, they found rocks falling in front of them.
"I'll help you across, Link" Midna said, patting Link's head. Link knew exactly what to do and transformed into Wolf Link. Midna decided, for the case of nostalgia but also because she's smaller so she'd be less likely to be hit, switched into her Imp form.
"Here we go Link" Midna said, and she floated to each of the platforms, and Link followed. Soon, they reached two switches. Both Link and Midna press them, and the tower flips again.
"Alright" Zelda said, and she and Astron warped to them. Link and Midna turned back to their human form, then they went through the next door.
As soon as they enter the next room, Astron spies a large block.
"What do we do here?" Astron asked, to which Link, spying a switch over the other side, said "I think we're going to have to push this block across to that switch"
"That's going to require multiple flips of this place" Zelda said. Midna then spies a swarm of Chaos Slimes, and they were all hit once when one dropped from the ceiling. Link, Zelda and Midna took two hearts of damage, reducing all of them to thirty-eight hearts, while Astron took four hearts of damage, reducing him to twenty-one hearts.
Take this!" Astron said, and he struck with his staff, destroying it in one hit.
"What are you waiting for? Start moving the block and flipping this place so we can get to Zant" Astron said. Link nodded and pushed it as far as he could before the ground stopped him. Zelda then shot the symbol and flipped the place. It was now Zelda's turn, and she pushed it further. Then Link shot the symbol and flipped it again.
Meanwhile, while all of this is happening, Midna and Astron are destroying the Chaos Blobs that keep respawning.
After two more flips and quite a bit of pushing, Link finally got the large block to the switch, At the same time as the bars on the door went up, the Chaos Blobs stopped respawning.
"Let's go" Link said, and the four of them went through to the next room.
They found themselves in another boss room. And, once again, there was a Chaos Wizzrobe waiting for them. There was also only about 6 teleporters for the Chaos Wizzrobe, but now the floor and ceiling had lava over about three-quarters of the arena.
"This is going to be, not tougher, but more annoying" Zelda said as the Chaos Wizzrobe appeared and several rocks fell from the ceiling.
"Here we go" Link said and the Chaos Wizzrobe jumped from one teleporter to another, and soon after the Chaos Wizzrobe appeared on the farthest teleporter, Link shot a Twilight Arrow into him, dealing twenty hearts of damage to the Chaos Wizzrobe, reducing him to eighty hearts.
Next up, the Chaos Wizzrobe shot across to the farthest right teleporter, and as soon as he did, Midna struck him with a Magical Bolt, dealing twenty more hearts of damage, reducing him to sixty hearts.
This happened for the third time, except this time it was Astron who hit him, reducing him to forty hearts.
It was then that the Chaos Wizzrobe sprayed around and tried to confuse the four of them. It didn't really work, though, and Midna struck him again, reducing him to twenty hearts. One final strike from Zelda finished him off.
"Alright. I see something where I can use my Clawshot to get up to the platform, so I'll do that, and you three can warp to me" Link said. He got out his Clawshot and used to get across the arena. The others then followed, and they climbed down into the next area.
Here, they discover a Chaos Poe. One slash from Link's sword destroyed it though.
"Right, floating across time" Midna said. She then grabbed Link, and they floated across the gap. Once they had reached the other side, Zelda and Astron warped to them. They then discovered three more Chaos Poe's waiting for them. They managed to barely avoid getting hit by them, and, after a few magic bolts, they were also destroyed.
"I see that the door is barred again, and I also see another platform up there, so, Link, Midna, you know what to do" Astron said. Midna grabbed Link again, and they floated over to the platform. Zelda and Astron warped, and they continued, though they didn't get far before they discovered Chaos Demon Spirits, which were going to be tough to avoid. Also, there were branching paths.
"We're going to have to make sure we're not seen or heard" Link said. Midna grabbed him, and they floated up, while Zelda and Astron also float as the Chaos Demon Spirit was looking away from them, so they managed to get past.
"I'll stay here" Astron said. Midna asked "Are you sure?" to which Astron replied "I'm sure", and he then pressed the switch.
"OK" Midna said. Link, Zelda and Midna headed for the switch that was now accessible. Link pressed it, and the door was opened, and the Chaos Demon Spirits were quelled.
"Let's go" Link said, and the four of them headed back to the previous room and headed into the next one.
Link immediately knew that he was out for this room. He couldn't float, and there was no platform where even his Wolf form. The way was also blocked by Chaos Bombs.
"How do we break those?" Midna asked, to which Link replied: "I'll try a Twilight Arrow" and when he fired the Twilight Arrow, all of the bombs exploded safely.
"Let's go" Zelda said to Midna, and they floated over to the middle platform, where several objects fired at them, but they were blocked by Zelda's and Midna's shield. They then float to the other platform and use their magic to help Link across, while Astron warps. They then head into the next room.
Here, they find a passage with Chaos Skulls waiting for them. Zelda and Midna shoot them, destroy them, and they can continue into the next room.
Here, they find a Chaos Reaper waiting for them.
"A mid-boss, that'll be a test for us before we fight Zant" Midna said. Link nodded, and they engaged.
Zelda and Midna blew away the Chaos Cloak surrounding him with Magic Bolts. They were then surprised to find that it partially reflected the blasts back at them, dealing 2 hearts of damage to both, reducing them to thirty-six hearts. Link manages to get a big strike on him, dealing thirty hearts of damage to him, reducing him to one-hundred and twenty hearts. However, Link is caught by the handle of the scythe, dealing 1 heart of damage to Link, reducing him to thirty-seven hearts, and the reflected damage did three hearts of damage to Link, reducing him to thirty-four hearts.
Just as the Chaos Bats reform, it's blown away again, this time by Astron, though he takes 4 hearts of damage in the process, reducing him to seventeen hearts. This allows Link to get another strike in, which combined with Zelda's and Midna's Magic Bolts, deal a total of seventy-five hearts of damage, reducing Chaos Reaper to fifty hearts.
It was then that the Chaos Reaper turned into bats and swarmed all of them. Everyone managed to deflect most of them, but still took 4, 5, 5 and 2 hearts of damage, respectively. Link, Zelda and Midna were all reduced to thirty hearts and Astron to thirteen hearts.
"NOW!" Link said as he reformed, and Link and Midna both combined to finish the Chaos Reaper off.
"Right. That's what we needed" Link said as the bars on the door lifted. They went to the chest, and found the boss key, needed to access Zant.
"Now we can take down Zant!" Link said. Astron said "Not so fast, we still don't know what this key's for"
"Right. Let's find out what it's used for" Zelda said. They then headed back into the boss room, then headed back a few rooms, and eventually reached another room, and when they entered, Astron decided to stay and hold the switch until Link, Zelda and Midna got to whatever it activated.
"Look, I might be able to reach that with the Clawshot" Link said, pointing to a pole that had appeared. Midna nodded, and Link did that. He managed to get to the top platform, and the others all warped to him.
They went into the next room, and they found the Chaos Eye creature waiting for them. And once again, in a few hits it was destroyed by Zelda's Light Arrows. They then head into the next room.
Here, they discover a warp point.
"Where does this take us?" Zelda asked, but a voice from the being they defeated echoed "You can go back to the start of this temple"
"Alright" Link said, and the four of them stepped into the warp point, where they were warped to the entrance.
Here, they discover the temple's right-way up again. After Astron steps on one the left-most switch, and Link shot the symbol, and the temple flipped upside-down again, they went into the second room, where they find a passage that had, until that point, had been inaccessible. There was also a pole, which allowed Link to clawshot up to it, and Zelda, Midna and Astron warped to him. It was then that they discovered a door that they had no idea was even there. It had a strange key shape.
"That strange key you got, I'm guessing it goes in here?" Link asked, to which Astron replied "Only one way to find out" and he stuck it in the keyhole. And them, it clicked, the chains removed, and they were able to enter the room.
"Is this the door where your strange key goes, Astron?" Link asked, to which Astron replied "Well, there's only one way to find out" and he put the key into the door, where it was revealed that the key was the right one.
"Let's go" Astron said and they entered the room.
Here, they find themselves in a strange chamber.
"Where are we?" Link asked, to which Astron replied "This is a Fairy Spring, This one seems to be the only one that's still functioning after a hundred years"
"There were four springs, however three of them were destroyed by the Evil Twili's monions" a Yellow, female figure said as she appeared.
"Here's the Fairy" Zelda said as she appeared.
"The Evil Twili? That must be Zant. That demon, he's caused so much destruction, he must be stopped once and for all" Midna snapped. Link then asked "So, are you the only Angel left?"
"No. The other Angels managed to escape, and they've been in hiding here ever since" the Angel replied. It was then that an Orange, Pink, Green and Purple fairy each appeared next to the Yellow Fairy.
"I am the Great Fairy of Magic" the Orange Fairy said.
"I am the Great Fairy of Power" the Pink Fairy said.
"I am the Great Fairy of Wisdom" the Green Fairy said.
"I am the Great Fairy of Courage" the Purple Fairy said.
"And finally, I am the Great Fairy of Kindness" the Yellow Fairy said.
"So, you want to destroy the demon that's done so much damage to Termina?" the Great Fairy of Kindness asked, to which Midna replied "I'm here because that demon's master drove Astron and i from the Twilight Realm. We've been fighting our way back ever since"
"Alright" the Great Fairy of Power replied. Then, the Great Fairy of Wisdom added "Well, I can tell you now that if you try to fight him in his current form, while merged with the Majora's Mask, you'll have a very hard time, even with the Fierce Deity by your side"
"So, what can you do to destroy that demon?" the Great Fairy of Magic asked, to which the Great Fairy of Courage added "Well, we can teach you a special song that'll separate the Demon called Zant from the Majora's Mask. And once that's happened, Fierce Deity will eb able to handle Majora's Mask., while you three will destroy Zant"
"Really? Awesome" Link replied. The Great Fairy of Wisdom then said "Now, get out your musical instruments, and we'll recite the song for you"
At this, Link got out his Ocarina, Midna got out her Flute, Zelda got out her Harp and Astron got out a Harmonica.
"Recite the song back to us" the Great Fairy of Kindness said. They then played the song, and all four of them recited it back to them. An interesting music then played through the arena, and a voice said "All four of you have learned the Song of Separation"
"Just a quick question. Why did we all have to learn it?" Astron asked, to which the Great Fairy of Power replied "Becuase the spell needs all four of you to work. You also need to deal some damage to him before you can use it"
"Alright. So, Astorn, we'll have to keep you alive during the fight for two reasons why. Not just because you're going to be the host of Fierce Deity, but also because we need you for the spell" Midna said, to which Astron nodded.
"Now, we must go" the Great Fairy of Magic said, and all five of them departed.
"Now, we will teleport you to the entrance to the boss room" came the united voice of all five fairies. A great ball of light appeared around the four of them, and they were warped to an area of the temple that they would never have been able to get to.
"Well, here we go. Zant is in there" Midna said. Link nodded, and replied "This is it, now we settle this once and for all. We will end him permanently. We don't know how he was revived, probably by his boss, but we'll crush him nonetheless"
"Let's go" Astron and Zelda said at the same time. Astron walked up and placed the Boss Key into the lock. It broke at once, and they entered, finding Zant waiting for them, wearing the Mask of Majora.
