When they enter the boss room, they find Zant waiting for them, with the Majora's Mask on his face.
"So, do I put the Fierce Deity mask on?" Astron asked, to which Midna replied "We're probably going to spar verbally first for a bit"
"Right" Link replied. Zant then stood up and said "My new God wants to rule all three realms. The Twilight Realm, Termina and Hyrule. The boss imbued me with the powers I only had from Ganon, and I have further augmented myself with the power of the Majora's Mask. So now, I can destroy you three. Link and Zelda, I'll crush you too. Astron, the Majora's Mask will crush you and Fierce Deity. As for you Midna, you're needed for the boss"
"I figured that much out" Midna snapped back. Link then said "Astron! NOW!" and Astron immediately put on the Fierce Deity's mask. Soon, he had transformed into the mighty Fierce Deity.
"Let's do this scum" Midna said. Zant nodded, and the five of them engaged.
Immediately, Zant drew a gigantic Chaos Blade and used his Sword Charge attack at everyone. Though Zelda, Midna and Fierce Deity dodged it, Link attempted to block the attack with his sword. This worked against Ganondorf, but against Suped-Up Zant, Link was immediately thrown back, taking five hearts of damage, reducing him to thirty-five hearts.
"LINK" Zelda and Midna both yelled. Fierce Deity tried to distract Zant by firing Sword Beams, but all of them were almost hit by Zant's Shadow Triangle Energy attack. The sword beams didn't hit anyway.
"Impudent whelps" Zant said, and he started firing Magic Bolts at them. Zelda and Midna reply with Magic Bolts of their own but are quickly overwhelmed, taking 6 hearts of damage each, reducing them to thirty-four hearts. The brief distraction, however, was enough for Fierce Deity to strike with the Fierce Deity's sword, dealing fifty hearts of damage to Zant, reducing him to four-hundred and fifty hearts. Zant fired off a Magic Meteor, which exploded into many small bolts, before they slammed into the ground, hitting everybody and dealing four hearts of damage, reducing Link to thirty-one hearts, Zelda and Midna to thirty hearts and Fierce Deity to thirty-six hearts.
"Wow, I'm not taking anywhere near the damage I was before" Fierce Deity said.
"Well Astron, the Fierce Deity mask has helped with that" Midna replied as Link got back to his feet.
"But if we don't do something about doing more damage, proportionally, to Zant, we WILL lose" Zelda said, to which Link replied "Then we'd better do something about that"
"Agreed" Fierce Deity said. Zant fired off a Shadow Energy Ball Attack, which Link smacked back. Fierce Deity, however, smacked the bolt when it was fired back at Link.
"I'm faster at hitting that blast back than you" Fierce Deity said. As they played extremely high-speed Tennis, Link realised that he wouldn't have been able to keep up.
"This Fierce Deity has definitely lived up to its name" Link said. He and Zelda both get their arrows ready, and when Fierce Deity wins the tennis match, Zant takes twenty-five hearts of damage, reducing him to four-hundred and twenty-five hearts. Zant went on to take an additional thirty-five hearts of damage from Link's Twilight Arrow, Zelda's Light Arrow and Fierce Deity's Sword Beams, reducing him further to three-hundred and ninety hearts.
Zant immediately fired off another Magic Meteor, dealing a further four hearts of damage to all of them, reducing Link to twenty-seven hearts, Zelda and Midna to twenty-six hearts and Fierce Deity to thirty-two hearts.
"What do we do about that stupid Magic Meteor attack?" Link asked, to which Zelda replied "We get him down far enough to use the song to split Zant and Majora's Mask. That'll be a very good start"
"Right" Midna said. Zant tried another Sword Charge Attack, but this time, Link used his Shield to deflect the attack, and this allowed Fierce Deity to strike Zant, dealing fifteen hearts of damage, reducing him to three-hundred and seventy-five hearts.
"Ugh" Zant said and he fell to his hands and knees.
"NOW!" Zelda yelled, and the four of them play the song. And, as they did, Zant yelled, the pain built in his face and, after a few moments, the Majora's Mask was torn from Zant's face, and the Majora's Mask appeared.
"Alright. This is where I take on Majora's Mask by myself, while you three take on Zant" Fierce Deity said. Zant knew this and used the barriers to split the battle between Fierce Deity and Majora's Mask from the battle between Link, Zelda and Midna.
Fierce Deity VS Majora's Mask
Majora's Mask immediately went into it's Majora's Wrath form, the final, and most powerful form. Two large arms and legs appear from beside and below Majora's Mask respectively, along with a masked face from the top and a set of whips from each arm.
"This is gonna be good" Fierce Deity said. He fired off several sword beams, but to his shock, Majora's Wrath spun around, and the tentacles deflected the beams. Majora's Wrath then fired off its whips at him, but he avoided them.
"I've learned a lot since our last battle, Fierce Deity" Majora's Wrath said. Fierce Deity replied "I can see that, so have I. The result, however, will still be the same. I will still destroy you. And with help from my Twili host, you won't come back". And at this, Majora attacked with its whips, and struck Fierce Deity, dealing 2 hearts of damage to Fierce Deity, lowing it to thirty hearts.
"Take THIS!" Fierce Deity said, firing more Sword Beams, which Majora's Wrath deflected with his spinning attack, Fierce Deity managed to get in and strike with his sword, dealing twenty-five hearts of damage, reducing Majora's Wrath to two-hundred and twenty-five hearts. Majora's Wrath avoided a second slash, which Fierce Deity had tried to strike with.
"TAKE THIS!" Majora's Wrath said, and in the time Fierce Deity hit Majora's Wrath with a Sword Beam, dealing twenty-five hearts of damage to Majora's Wrath, reducing it to two hundred hearts.
"Not bad" Majora's Wrath said. It then fired off more whips, and this time catches Fierce Deity's arms and legs. In that brief time, Fierce Deity threw his sword at Majora's Wrath, dealing fifty hearts of damage, reducing Majora's Wrath of one-hundred and fifty hearts. However, Majora's Wrath swung Fierce Deity around, and by the time Fierce Deity managed to get himself free, he'd taken ten hearts of damage, reducing him to twenty hearts. The damage, however, was done, as another ten hearts of damage was inflicted to Majora's Wrath, reducing him to one-hundred and forty hearts. Fierce Deity managed to grab his sword back and Majora's Wrath said "What the? How did I take damage?"
"The power of the Twili allowed me to not only get myself free of your horrific whip attack but also damage you" Fierce Deity replied.
"I will still destroy you" Majora's Mask said, and, immediately, Majora's Mask fired off a Magic Meteor at Fierce Deity. It was then, that Fierce Deity got an idea. As soon as the Magic Meteor exploded into many small pieces that then slammed into the ground, and Fierce Deity decided to charge at Majora's Wrath. Majora's Wrath tried to use its whips to ensnare Fierce Deity, but Fierce Deity used a powerful spin attack to deflect it. And as a result, he wasn't hit by the Meteor attack. Not only that but Fierce Deity managed to strike (partially) Majora's Wrath, inflicting fifteen hearts of damage, reducing Majora's Wrath to one-hundred and twenty-five hearts. As soon as Fierce Deity hit, Majora's Wrath leapt away.
"How are you doing this? How are you still stronger than me?" Majora's Wrath asked, to which Fierce Deity replied "Why? Thanks to learning from our previous fight, and, the Twili host"
"Grrr" Majora's Wrath said, and the two of them re-engage.
The whips kept flying, the Sword Beams were firing, but neither was hit. Then, Majora's Mask managed to grab Fierce Deity. However, Fierce Deity used his sword struck on the whips, dealing fifteen hearts of damage to Majora's Mask, reducing it to one-hundred and ten hearts. Another barrage of Magic Bolts was fired, and a few of these bolts hit, dealing four hearts of damage to Fierce Deity, reducing him to sixteen hearts.
"This is going to be a close one" Fierce Deity said. He then fired off multiple sword beams, which forced Majora's Mask to spin using its whip-arms to deflect them. This, once again, allowing Fierce Deity to strike with his sword again, which, when combined with a Sword Beam, dealt a combined forty hearts of damage to Majora's Wrath, reducing him to seventy-five hearts.
Majora's Wrath managed to grab Fierce Deity again, but this time Fierce Deity threw his sword, catching Majora's arm, and forcing one of the whips off of Fierce Deity. Majora's Wrath threw Fierce Deity into a wall, dealing six hearts of damage to Fierce Deity, and the sword strike dealt twenty-five hearts of damage, reducing Astron to ten hearts and Majora's Wrath to fifty hearts.
"DIE!" Majora's Wrath said, firing its whips off at him, but Fierce Deity avoided all of them, managed to pull his sword out of the wall and slash Majora's Wrath, dealing twenty-five more hearts of damage, reducing it to twenty-five hearts.
"Magic Meteor" Majora's Wrath said and generated a Magic Meteor, which exploded and did four hearts of damage to Fierce Deity, reducing him to six hearts. However, this Magic Meteor left Majora's Wrath fatally exposed, which Fierce Deity exploited to strike with his sword, finishing the Mask off.
"Finally. Now, I can fix the Twilight Dial, and milady, her boyfriend, and Princess Zelda can go to the Twilight Realm. I want to stay in Termina with Nanarol" Astron said.
Link, Zelda and Midna VS Zant
"Take this!" Zant said and fired off a Shadow Triangle Energy Attack, which Zelda and Midna warped away, while Link narrowly avoided being hit by the attack. Link fired off a Twilight Arrow, but Zant avoided it. This, however, allowed Zelda and Midna to hit with Magic Bolts, dealing five hearts of damage each, reducing Zant to three-hundred and eighty hearts.
"Let's go" Zelda said, and both her and Midna start rapidly warping around.
Link aimed his arrow and was ready to strike. Zant tried to fire at Zelda and Midna, and although he did catch both of them with one blast each, dealing five hearts of damage to both, reducing them to twenty-five hearts, he was distracted for long enough for Link to fire off a powerful Twilight Arrow that dealt thirty hearts of damage to Zant, reducing him to three-hundred and fifty hearts.
"Grr" Zant said, then activated a spell, which caused Zelda and Midna to not be able to use their warping technique.
"Now, I'll win for sure" Zant said. He cast a Poisonous cloud, just like Vexona, but Zelda and Midna blew it away easily. So easily, in fact, that Zelda and Midna were able to dodge Zant's attack, a spinning magic attack, though Link wasn't so lucky, taking six hearts of damage, reducing him to twenty-five hearts.
"Take THIS!" Link said, and he stabbed his Sword into Zant, forcing him to retreat and allowing Zelda, Midna and Link to regroup, also dealing twenty hearts of damage to Zant, reducing him to three hundred and thirty hearts.
"DIE!" Zant said, and he started firing many magic pulses at them, but Zelda and Midna countered them. Link got around, and struck Zant with his sword, dealing thirty hearts of damage to Zant, reducing him to three hundred hearts.
Just in time too, as Zelda and Midna were almost totally overwhelmed by Zant's blasts.
"That was close" Zelda said, to which Midna replied "Yeah"
"You will pay for that Link" Zant said. He then grabbed his sword, and started charging towards them, which all three easily dodged. Zant launched a Shadow Triangle Energy Attack, big enough to strike all three of them, dealing five hearts of damage to all of them, reducing Link to twenty hearts, and both Zelda and Midna to twenty-one hearts. Link distracted Zant by firing off arrows, Zelda and Midna started charging up a combination magical attack, and when they fired, Zant smacked it back. Link got between them and smacked it back. After five or six rallies, Link managed to bounce it into Zant, dealing one hundred hearts of damage to Zant, reducing him to two hundred hearts. Zant quickly retaliated with a storm of Magic Bolts, which hit Link, Zelda and Midna, but they were deflected mostly, as Link, Zelda and Midna only two hearts of damage each, reducing Link to eighteen hearts, while Zelda and Midna dropped to nineteen hearts.
"We're closer to beating him, but we're still, technically losing" Link said, gritting his teeth. Zelda then asked, "Why aren't you using your sword beams?"
"I've tried, in fact, on the first strike, I tried to use Sword Beams to stop Zant initially, but it didn't work, that was why I took the hit" Link replied. Midna then said "Then let's finish him. And as soon as Zant swung his sword again, Link and Zant locked swords. Zelda and Midna got behind him, and, even though Link was losing the sword push, Zelda and Midna started firing Magic Bolts off at him from behind. Zant saw it coming and used his abilities to prevent him from taking any damage from them. However, the damage was slowly being done, and Link slowly overwhelmed Zant, and eventually pushed him back. As soon as he did, He stabbed his sword into Zant. He tried to do that more than once, Zant immediately warped, so Link couldn't hit him anymore. This, however, combined with Zelda's and Midna's magic bolts that hit once Zant had been overwhelmed, did fifty hearts of damage to Zant, reducing him to fifty hearts.
"Just one shot to go" Link said. Zelda and Midna nod and regroup.
"ARGH! HOW AM I LOSING? I WILL NOT LOSE! ALL OF YOU, DIE!" Zant said, and he fired off an enormous magic blast, causing the roof to collapse. Midna and Zelda used their magic to stop part of the roof hitting them. Zant tried to charge in with another Sword Charge Attack, Link deflected the attack. Then, Zelda and Midna struck him with telepathically thrown boulders, dealing twenty-five hearts of damage to Zant, reducing him to twenty-five hearts.
"RAH!" Zant yelled, and threw another Shadow Triangle Energy attack, dealing five more hearts of damage to everyone, reducing Link to thirteen hearts, and both Zelda and Midna to fourteen hearts, but with a team attack involving Link's Twilight Arrow, Zelda's Magic Bolts and Midna's Magic Bolts, it was enough to finish Zant.
"No! How? How did I lose?" Zant said. He then collapsed, died, and the walls collapsed.
Post-Battle
"Astron" Midna said, waving over to Astron, as he got over to them. As they arrived, the
door opened, and the broken Twilight Dial was exposed. Astron found a heart piece, and the four of them were healed.
"How long do we have?" Link asked, to which Astron replied "Only a couple of minutes. And I'm not going to join you, I want to stay in Termina with Nanarol, the librarian"
"Alright, I understand" Midna said, smiling. Astron put the mask of Fierce Deity, transformed back into Fierce Deity, then used a spell to start the work of repairing the Twilight Dial.
"I'll help" Midna said. And since she was the Twilight Princess, she was able to help pick up the pieces of the Twilight Dial and place them back together. After a few moments, Twilight magic appeared between the pieces and pulled them together. When the pieces finally came completely together, a portal appeared.
"Well, here we go. Good luck with the librarian Astron" Midna said, and Astron replied "Thanks Midna, good luck in saving the Twilight Realm, and with Link" and this made Link and Midna both blushed heavily. The three of them then entered the portal, and they arrived in the besieged fortress.
