The sky was showing no sign of sunshine, the ground covered in a fresh blanket of snow that even in her thick snow boots, it was still freezing. Sarah hugged her coat closer to her, trying her best to keep warm as she looked to Blake while they walked to the store. He was walking as normal, and all he dawned upon his person was a thick red scarf that wrapped around his neck.

Sarah found herself asking out loud to him, "How can you stay so warm in such cold temperatures like this?"

Blake just smiled and proudly flexed his muscles, "it is my big muscles that do most of the work on keeping me warm miss."

*I had to ask* Sarah thought, rolling her eyes a little before looking back to him, "and the scarf?"

Blake answered, "but my neck is very sensitive to the cold."

"I see," Sarah sighed, "Well I suppose most people…and imaginary friends do have some weaknesses." Just then a strong wind blew, making Sarah shiver violently as she pulled her collar of her coat up around her face to keep face warm.

Blake just looked at her concerning, "don't you have a scarf of gloves?"

"Its little luxuries I can sacrifice, the cold doesn't bother me all that much because my fur is so light and thin Layered. But most of the money I earn I save it for my children."

"Don't you all have that…coco bird who can lay almost anything?" Blake asked.

"Coco is a dear friend, asking her for something as trivial as little clothing such as a glove or a scarf or anything else for that matter, is no more than asking for favors. I rather not ask my friends for something if I can help it. I much rather make it myself or buy it with my own money."

"Oh so you can knit?"

Sarah couldn't help but giggle a little, "Hehehe yeah….about that…knitting was never a very strong talent of mine, other than cooking and telling stories. I just say it if I knew how to I would but I don't."

"You really don't like asking for assistance on anything do you?" Blake raised a brow.

"No, I mostly try to do things myself…" Sarah rubs her hands together.

Blake watched her carefully and then removed his scarf to wrap it around her neck. The surprise of having something put on her person made her look up to Blake as he wrapped it around her neck.

"I am fine…Really." Sarah protested.

Blake just smiled, "better you have than me, besides, I would hate to have your children worry if you caught a cold."

Sarah found this type of act surprising. Even if he did help her out before, to sacrifice his own warmth for another…it was endearing.

Placing her hand upon the red scarf as she looked at him, she quietly said, "thank you."

Blake nodded, "you are very welcome."

With that last statement, both of them walked into the food market.

Unknown to them, not far off, watching the two walking into the market store, sneaking behind one car after another, Mac and Bloo had watched this act and were stunned almost dumbfounded to see this happen.

Bloo tilted his red, snow hat up as he looked to Mac whispering, "Did you see that?!"

Mac only nodded in his red hooded jacket, "yeah I know! But I don't know…maybe there is something else happening here, Richie can't be right."

"Oh there is something else going on here…Its Blake who is trying to put the moves on her, acting all sly like that…make me wanna gag!" Bloo gagged.

"I am not sure…" Mac was hesitant.

"Remember the last time we saw him? He was trying to woo Sarah at the Bee Hive, do you really want that Brat to win and Stacy be his best friend?"

Mac's eyes widened to that statement and then scowled… "Let's do this."

"That's my Best Bud speaking!" Bloo grinned, yanking Mac from his spot and darted into the store.

Isle after Isle, shelf after shelf…Sarah made sure to look through all the certain types of items that Mrs. Richards has asked for. There had been a few instances where she grabbed the wrong type and Blake had to explain that Richie had a certain palette that was sensitive to certain things. Such as, wheat makes Richie feel sluggish so he has to have white bread, pudding alone makes him gag even if it was chocolate, so he preferred yogurt instead, and since Mrs. Richards wasn't a big red meat fan, Richie was allowed a few, but mostly ground meet or pork was best.

Sarah was amazed at how closely detailed Blake was for not only his creator but for his mom too. She couldn't help but admire how close he actually was to them, but through all the times they had been in contact with each other…he always kept his distance from her or aided her whenever it was necessary. But it still didn't excuse how he acts for his creator whenever they make an entrance…Perhaps…this was a good time…to find out…the whole story.

As Sarah and Blake walk around the cereal section, picking up one box after the next that was listed, she looked up to Blake, "So Blake?"

Blake picked up a box of lucky charms and placed it into the cart Sarah pushed, "yes?"

"You know so much about your creator and his family…I can't help but wonder…what was it like before Richie became who he is today?"

"Oh that is such a long…sad story Miss Sarah…and I don't wish to burden you with such sadness." Blake answered, though dramatically to where Sarah wasn't impressed.

Sarah stated,"I probably been through a lot worse…but I will tell you what…since we are almost done, perhaps after we get the groceries we can stop by the coffee stand and get some hot chocolate before leaving, I am sure Richie won't even notice us being a little behind time."

"You want…to get hot chocolate with me?" Blake's eyes were all stares, he could have only dreamed of a moment like this.

"Yes…because you are my friend." Sarah smiled.

And just like that, everything fell over like a ton of bricks … "Heheheh…right…friends"

"Alright then…lets go check out before it gets too busy." Sarah stated, placing the last item into the cart and then strolled up into the cashier line with Blake at her side.

Mac and Bloo had been watching all this time as they walked around gathering their items, every so often there is an instance where Blake was getting a little too close for comfort, but Sarah didn't mind it.

There as they watched them through the cereal aisle, they couldn't hear what was going on…but upon getting closer by hiding under a cart basket that went close to them, they heard Sarah Invite Blake for a cup of hot chocolate at the coffee stand in the store after they checked out.

As Mac saw Blake and Sarah turn a corner to the cashier line, he looked to Bloo shocked, "did you hear that?"

"Yeah!" Bloo growled, "I want hot chocolate too."

"No Bloo…she invited him to get some hot chocolate…could this…be a date?"

"How should I know? I just don't want the most awesome girl to be that brats best bud…I mean…we met her first."

"That is true…but still…this is more than just Stacy that is at stake here…Its Wilt too."

"Yeah…I guess I can see your point." Bloo looked sad as he looked up to Blake and Sarah as they laughed talking to one another.

"Richie can't be right we have to break this up…now." Mac said sternly.

"Way ahead of you," Bloo said, before running over, "I demand you cease and desist this date at once!" he ran up and started to pound on Blakes leg…with little to no effect.

Blake just looked down at Bloo, "uh….what?"

Just then Mac came over, "we know all about your two's date…how can you do this?"

Sarah, "What are you two talking about?"

Bloo answered, still pounding on Blakes leg, "Richie told us all about it, you two are dating…and we are here to put a stop to it."

Sarah looked at Bloo and sighed, "we are not dating, we are grocery shopping for Richie and his mom. This is part of my job."

Bloo stopped and Mac just stared at her surprised, "your job?"

"Yes," Sarah answered, "Blake was just helping me find some groceries on the list that was given by Mrs. Wilderbrat. I brought Richie over to Fosters because she said it was alright as long someone was there to watch Richie while I was out, and since I thought Wilt and the others were there, I thought it would be alright if Blake came with."

Both Mac and Bloo looked a bit surprised but more clueless than anything.
