Heya guys. I've had this idea for a Zelda fanfic for a while now, but I've been putting it off. Sorry. It's basically gonna be an expanded version of BoTWs ending. More climactic, grander in scale. What I imagine I should've been basically. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
Chapter 1: The Goddesses' Chosen
Monk Maz Koshia kneeled down one last time. Before him stood a valiant young man, clothed in simple green and brown, with a strange cap. In his left hand was a gleaming blue sword, and in his other a valiantly shining ornate shield, with the crest of the Goddesses' descendants on it.
"You faced that challenge with great courage." The withered Monk declared. "You have erased all doubt from my mind. You are a true hero. As such, you were destined to take hold of this ancient masterpiece."
The battlefield began to shift around them.
"That which you have obtained... is a masterpiece of innovation, created for the one true hero. Hero of Hyrule... May the Goddess smile upon you."
And with that, the Monk withered away in blue streams. Link was engulfed in blue light, and appeared again in front of the Shrine of Resurrection. He looked down again. A golden light was enveloping him. The garbs gifted to him by the Sheikah monks were shifting.
"Link. . ." Zelda said. "The time has come for you to fulfill prophecy. You've overcome many arduous trials. As such, I bestow upon you the true, righteous form of the Sacred Clothes of the Goddesses' Chosen Hero. The first wore it, and so shall the last. It will protect you from all harm and environments."
Link looked down. The clothes had changed. He had knee high, dark brown and grey boots with straps on the back. He had comfortable but durable, slightly tan pants on, not too different from his Hylian Trousers. His brown shirt was replaced with a thick white shirt, with a short sleeved green tunic over it. A set of bronze colored chainmail was sandwiched in between. He had thick, leather gauntlets, with a steel and leather bracer on his left arm. His cap became slightly longer, and the gold ring around the base disappeared.
Link took the Sheikah slate off his hip, and a new rune had been added: The Master-Cycle Zero, Apparently, it was some form of motorized travel he could summon. He would try that later, he decided.
He took a moment to study his surroundings, and noticed Kass, the wandering Rito musician, on the edge of the cliff, looking at Hyrule Castle. They exchanged pleasantries, and Kass sang a song about the champions of old. Now, Link was almost ready to face the Calamity. But first, he had to rally support.
Heya guys, thanks for reading if yah did. Chapter two is comin' soon. Basically Link is gonna amass an army of all the species to storm Hyrule Castle. Some things are gonna change, like the sizes of towns and the castle, but tbh I think Nintendo implies in all the Zelda games that places are canonically bigger and more populated than in the games, if you catch my drift. See yah next chapter folks.
