It was a sunny day in Paris as Adrien leaped across the rooftops of this city he called home. Luckily for him his patrol was almost over meaning he could slide into his familiar bakery rooftop soon but before he could even think about going home he had to meet up with LB, his obnoxiously flirty partner that, when not tasked with saving Paris, seemed to be the clumsiest person he'd ever met. He shook away the thought and focused himself on getting to their regular patrol meet up place, a nondescript building rooftop hidden well away from any cameras attached to nosey reporters like his best friend Nino. Soon enough he spotted a red-clad hero she seemed to be clutching something in her hands? Whatever he just wanted to get home.

"Hey bug!" he shouted as he jumped onto the roof.

"For you my knight" she said presenting him with a rose that rested in her hands.

"Thanks…" he mumbled awkwardly.

He always hated it when she did this but he accepted nonetheless, at least it wasn't another bug pun.

"Find anything?" she asked trying to sound nonchalant, as she crossed her arms.

"No, you?" his reply was fast but he tried to ignore it and turned to look her in the eyes

"I.. uh I fought some uh... Uh a mugged was being womaned I mean uh.." she looked away and took a deep breath

"I saw a woman being mugged and stopped that" she said breathlessly, still not facing him

"Okay well I'll be on my way then" he drew his baton from his back and ready himself at the edge of the rooftop and with that he was off!

Ladybug watched him bound away, the colours of the sunset bounced off his suit in the best way and she could barely even-

She felt Tikki snap her out of it from inside the suit, right Tikki was there, meaning Tikki saw that whole interaction, oh god she was gonna have to stock up on cookies from that Adrien kids bakery or she'll never hear the end of it. They did have some pretty good cookies...but that's beside the point. She rolled her eyes as she slid into her mansion window, after a scolding from Tikki she made her way downstairs for dinner only to be met with two piercing eyes staring back at her.

"Mother.." she breathed

"You're late" the woman uttered sternly

"Sorry-" she was soon cut off by another firm word

"No matter, I guess I could always take you out of school again" she sighed not letting any emotion shine into her voice.

"I'm sorry mother it won't happen again" Marinette hung her head low as her mother stepped from her chair, making a loud squeaking noise in the process.

"Geread, please schedule another photo shoot for tomorrow afternoon, directly after class" her tone was stone cold and unwavering.

Marinette opened her mouth to protest but shook that thought away. 'It'd just get me in more trouble' she pondered to herself.
