"Sawyer!" I stir."Sawyer!" I jolt upright and almost fall out of my desk chair. Looking towards the door I see Mrs. Jones. I stand, my mother raised me right, as she enters. "Gosh Sawyer, what's got you so worried?" She must be able to see the tension in my face. I make a conscious effort to relax my muscles. I glance at the clock, wow 2pm I must have fallen asleep after Welch's call. "Sawyer? Hello, where is your mind today?"

"Sorry, I've been trying to figure out what to do." I answer.

"About what?" She asks.

"I got a call from Welch half an hour ago. Apparently Mr. Hyde has acquired a gun license." I hear her gasp as I explain.

"Have you told Mr. Grey yet?"

"No, I've been debating it." She shakes her head at me.

"You know you ave to tell him-"

"But there is no immediate danger to Christian, Ana, or the Grey family yet. We don't need to worry him with could be's or might be's. We just need to keep an eye on it."

"You know he would want to know." She gives me a grave look, then walks to the kitchen. I follow her. "If you don't tell him I will. Imagine how mad he'd be if you didn't tell him and something happened."

"We wouldn't let it get that far."

"You never know, he could have people working for him who are not even on your radar and BAM it could come out of nowhere." She says.

"What are you now, conspiratorial?"

"I'm just saying Sawyer, if you don't tell him I will!" She says threateningly.

I hear someone clear their throat and my head snaps up to the door. Ana says hello to us both and we greet her in turn. Mrs. Jones gives me her 'no funny business' look and I sulk off to our quarters to call Mr. Grey. The phone rings twice and then I hear his voice.

"Sawyer."

"Mr. Grey, we have new information.

CPOV

I've just gotten into work and Andrea, my assistant, has already bombarded me with a load of paperwork 'I need to look at immediately'. Apparently some fucker made a mistake in one of our negotiations, costing me a company. They'll be fired soon, or maybe not fired but definitely demoted. Fuck, that was a great deal. The blackberry I've set on the corner of my desk rings. It's Sawyer, this can't be good. I pick it up and answer.

"Sawyer." I snap. I listen as he tells me about the call he got from Welch about Jack Hyde acquiring a gun license. What would be want with a gun? "Sawyer, I want you watching Ana at all times and keep me informed on anything suspicious." I instruct him; I don't want to take any chances when it comes to my beautiful girl.

"Yes sir." I hang up and dial Welch.

"Christian?" I can hear the surprise in his voice.

"Hey Welch," I greet, He's been one of my best allies and friends. He's got me out of a lot of jams. "Do you know where Hyde is?" I spit his name.

"No, last I knew he was in the Greek restaurant next to Escala." Oh no, he's near Ana. "But he left and my guys lost track of him. They are being reprimanded." I panic, say goodbye, and hang up. I gather my papers and rush through reception letting Andrea know to email me any work, that I'll be working from home once some things are taken care of. Quickly I make my way to the waiting car and tell Taylor to get us home ASAP. He nods without question and promptly gets us home. My leg bounces the whole way, we're not going fast enough, I need to see Ana.

I rush through the door and ask Mrs. Jones where Ana is. All I hear is that she doesn't know. I frantically search some places Ana might be; the study, the library, our room, the bathroom, and our closet. No luck. I'm really panicking now and call for Sawyer. We almost collide into each other.

"Sir, calm down." How dare he tell me to calm down. "She has to be here, I've been watching all exits. No one has come or gone since she got home."

"You check this level, I'm going to check upstairs again." I tell him and he nods, going to make his rounds. I check every room again except the playroom. It should be locked, but it's the only room I haven't checked yet. I race there and the door is ajar. I burst through and see Ana fall off the bed startled. I rush over and hug her to me. She explains that shes writing in something akin to a diary. I try to grab it but she pulls it away. It's irritating but Flynn said to give her space. I suggest we go downstairs. Once down there I make my way to sawyer to tell him I found her. He nods and makes his way with Taylor to the security quarters. I walk back to the library where I left Ana. Her back is facing me and I reach for her shoulders and start to massage. She leans back into me and I kiss her head.

"So, how was your," I look at my watch. "47 minutes at work?" I ask and feel Christian give me another kiss, on the shoulder this time.

"Not worth it, I should have just come home with you." I smile lovingly at this side of Christian.

"Well, now what should-" his cellphones buzzing interrupts me. He looks at it and tells me its an email. Something about a screw up at work that he has to take care of, then he's gone again. I sigh and get up, making my way to the kitchen. "Need any help?" I ask Mrs. Jones as she puts some dishes in the dishwasher. We both look up and watch Taylor and Sawyer make their way to Christians office.

"No dear, it's okay. I'm almost done." I nod and tell her I'm going to the bookstore. I also tell her I'll bring Sawyer with me but when I get to the office their conversation sounds heated. I check back and notice Gail isn't in the kitchen anymore and decide to just sneak out. I'm out the door and on my way and before I know it I'm in the classic literature section. I already have most of the books in the section but I scan through it anyway. I pick up a first edition Pride and Prejudice and flip it open.

My nose buried in my book, I make my way left to go to the cash register. Omph, someone knocks into me and our books go tumbling to the floor, along with myself. I look up and a man has his hand stretched out apologizing profusely.

"It's okay." I laugh and smile slightly. He bends down and picks up both our books.

"Pride and Prejudice first edition? I take it you're into the classics?" He half smirks, half smiles. It's bewildering.

"Uh, yeah, I am." I say and eye his book. "Withering Heights, another good one. One of my favourites." I say motioning to his book.

"Mine too." He says, then there's a pause. "Would you like to go get a coffee? My treat." I look at my watch.

"I don't know, I should get home, it's almost dinner time…"

"Come on, it's the least I could do for knocking a beautiful lady such as yourself to the ground." I blush. Christian is probably still working, he will be for a while and in all likelihood doesn't realize I'm still gone.

"Okay, sure." I nod and he ushers me first through the cash.

"Oh here." He says putting his book on the counter too and pays for both.

"You didn't have to do that." I say earnestly.

"I know." He smiles again and I can't help but smile. We exit and make our way to the coffee shop down the street.

I get in the cab and give him the address for Escala. It's not long before I'm thinking about coffee with him.

I order an English breakfast tea and he orders a coffee, black. I lead the way to a booth with windows and a view of Escala in the distance.

"So, I didn't catch your name." He says with a bit of a southern accent.

"Anastasia."

"What a beautiful name." I blush at his compliment.

"What's yours?" I ask.

"Tyler."

The driver pulls to the sidewalk and I hand him the money. The elevator is quick as usual and I reach the foyer before I know it. Opening the door and placing the bag containing my book on the table I look up and see Christian with his hands in his hair. He hears the door shut behind me and speeds over.

"Oh Ana, I was worried about you." He pulls me into a hug.

"But I've only been gone-" I look at my watch. Oh geez, it's 8:30. "-Okay, okay. I'm fine though, see?" I hold my hands up.

"Where were you?" I tell Christian about Tyler.

"You look familiar, where did you go to school?" He asks.

"WSU."

"Ahh! I must have seen you there in the library. My sister is the librarian there!" He exclaims.

"No way, how have we not met before. I was like always in there." We talk for another couple hours about how I'm an editor at SIP and he's a cashier at a clothes store down the road from Escala. We talk about how my favourite place to hang out is the park or the library and his is the drive in movie theatre and many more things about ourselves.

"Ana, you told him all that? You just met him for goodness sake!"

"Christian, it's fine, he's just a person." He doesn't push it anymore but I can tell he hasn't given up either. We decide to go to our room and Christian grabs his laptop and I grab my yellow pad. I write about Tyler. How he's easy to talk to and how he puts me in a good mood but also how it feels like something is off about him.

CPOV

Ana comes back and tells me all about this Tyler character. I cant believe she told him all that stuff within hours of meeting him. I also cant believe she fell for his 'charm and wit'. Okay so I might be a little possessive but Ana's my wife. I don't want any other man or person coming and messing this up! Plus I don't trust him. Coincidences this big don't just happen.

Hyde gets a gun and now this guy comes in claiming to have the same likes and dislikes as her, along with his sister that he 'visited frequently to read the classics' in the library Ana was in almost everyday? I don't think so. My email window bings as it pops up. I hit compose new and type away while Ana writes on that stupid pad of yellow paper. Yeah I'm bitter about that too. I want to know what it is to bad. Focus Christian, task on hand.
