Okezd: I'm really glad you like how I portray the different characters, it makes me happy.

mysticalgems: BOTW is awesome and very time-consuming (I beat it then had to give it back to my brother-phooey lol). And the reverse shiek tribe…I forget their name but how they reappear etc makes me think of a certain demon but yes he should totally be in there and it is very sad that he is not. : ( Also congrats on being the 69th review lol.

Hi guys! Its been a while I know. Please don't kill me. Here, take it, read it…review? Have fun.

Chapter 23

The silver blade dropped to the floor with a clatter as the hand holding it was broken. Link dropped to his knees cradling his injured appendage, lifting his head up only when a black dagger pricked his throat.

"That was a very dim-witted move, Skychild." Ghirahim stated in a bored tone "I would've expected you to at least attempt to seize your blade with your other hand. Instead I see you slump to your knees in a defeated pose." The demon shook his head and flipped the blade against the golden neck around, before ramming the hilt into the once-hero's temple. He watched as the boy was knocked to the ground "Never make that mistake again, or next time I won't use the hilt."

Link struggled back to his knees again and grabbed the katana's hilt with his left hand before regaining his feet. Uneasily, he watched the demon lord, who was in turn watching him. Link cussed as Ghirahim smiled and vanished, leaving the boy to gaze about himself in an effort to catch sight of the man. On instinct alone, Link spun around and brought his blade up effectively deflecting the incoming attack.

There was a slight hiss of metal as the demon slid his daggers down and off the sword's edge, towards the hero's chest. His daggers were once again blocked, however, as the blonde flicked his blade downward. Counterattacking, Link thrust forward with his sword, missing as the pale figure leapt backwards out of reach.

Blue eyes glared but then noticed that the demon was closer to the wall. Perhaps Link could pin the man against it, without him noticing, and then finally land a blow. Steadily he began to drive Ghirahim towards it, blocking the demon's attacks when he had to, but always attempting to steer the other male towards the room's edge. Finally, it seemed that he was close enough to it. When an opening to lunge presented itself, the blonde took it; driving his blade forward. His opponent, however, was untouched as the pale figure teleported behind the human.

Grabbing the blonde hair, Ghirahim hit Link's head against the hard stone. The demon then kicked the human's left hand, snapping bones; causing the boy to let his sword fall to the floor yet again. The man yanked the skyloftian around, releasing the hair and placing his left dagger against the golden neck "Next time you plan on pinning someone against a wall, ascertain the absence of possible exits and brace for counterattacks. If you had bothered to THINK, you would've remembered my marvelous teleporting ability. Had it been the Sheikah, she could've found any number of ways to break away as well." Stuffing his daggers into the sash, he grabbed the injured hands and squeezed, dropping the blonde to his knees with exquisite pain. The demon bent over and spoke into the pointed ear "Remember this lesson" before lessening his grip. Black diamonds surrounded both sets of hands, knitting bones back into place. "Pick up your sword."

Link nodded. As soon as he grabbed his blade he swung at the demon immediately. He was met with a sadistic grin as the white-clad male jumped back. Steadily, the blonde began to improve as the two twirled and lunged around each other. Blades flashed with reflected light. Metal shards were sent flying, as the deadly edges caught each other only to be flung away. Their lethal dance continued until Link spun, forcing the demon away from him. Immediately, Link dipped his blade downward only to force it back up suddenly into an overhead arc. Silver metal stained red as it met its mark. Ghirahim was driven to one knee from the blow, his left shoulder saturated with blood.

Gazing at his injury, a slow smile crept upon the demon's face before his quiet chuckle filled the air "Congratulations, Skychild." He turned his intense gaze upon the once-hero "Link Redwing, you are the first mortal in nearly hundreds of millennia to draw my blood in blade to blade combat. As reward, you will be offered something quite rare and, dare I say, precious?" He gestured to the ground in front of him "Kneel." Ghirahim watched as the blonde knelt before him, and then he went to his own knees across from the surprised Link. "In many years past, from a time and place I had almost forgotten, it was custom for trainers to offer young warriors, whom they taught and thought worthy, a chance to duel. The minority that could, if not win, manage to inflict damage upon their instructors were allowed the honor to consume some of the weapon master's blood." He pulled the sliced remnants of his outfit away from his wound "Link Redwing, I offer you a taste of my blood. Partake it if you wish."

Mouth open a little in surprise, Link glanced at the dripping liquid and back to the demon's powerful stare. He would've said something but felt that saying anything would break whatever ceremony he had unknowingly entered into. The man's last sentence seemed more a command than a suggestion, so, hesitantly, Link bent his head over the wound. Slowly he touched his lips to it and sucked a small portion into his mouth. The taste of it shocked him, it was not gross as he would've expected. Instead it seemed to be everything he would want it to be like. He drank another mouthful. And another. Ghirahim made no move to remove him, so Link continued to drink. He loved it. Sweet. Wonderful. Metallic. Blood.

She was the goddess reborn, the mortal form of Hylia. This world depended on her to keep Demise imprisoned. Otherwise…it was best not to think about the amount of destruction that would be visited upon the land. Not only was this her duty as Goddess to her subjects, but it was also her duty as a Skyloftian to make sure that those she loved were not subjected to the torment that would befall them should she fail. The loss of Link, although terrible, must be accepted and she must move on. Eventually, another hero would take his place, as had happened in the past. First, however, it was essential that she strengthen the seal on the imprisoned's confinement. She could feel it growing weaker and it's inmate becoming restless. It would take time for the new hero to be born and old enough to become the chosen one. Time that the current seal could not provide, unless she reinforced its power. She must travel back to the Sealed Temple and sleep so her soul could keep the demon king trapped. She knew this.

The human part of her however, still grieved over the loss of the man she loved. Inwardly she rebelled against the necessity of a new hero, even as she walked in the direction of the ancient structure. Impa followed behind her, constantly on alert for any danger that might threaten. Zelda felt tears burn her eyes. In the end her Link, would be replaced by someone new. Someone she did not love. She resented that fact but knew that the fate of all lives depended on the imprisoned's eventual destruction and for that there needed to be a chosen hero. She sighed and for a brief moment, wished that she was not the goddess reborn.

Hope you enjoyed! Have a fantastic rest of your day!
