I looked down at the opponent I faced in the 200. He was weak. 5 out of 5 wins though. I have a perfect score to keep. I smirked as I walked away from the dead silent Arena and back to my room.
I let out a huge sigh once I got there though. Being serious all the time is super tough!
I zapped to Hiso-nii's room once I finished changing and waited on his bed for him to return from whatever he does when I'm not there.
Snatching a card from mid-air I turned to the door and glared.
"You should stop doing that Hiso-nii! It's not nice!" I said as strictly as I could.
He hummed in what I assume was disagreement. "Nice fight you had earlier. You should have taken a harder opponent."
I glared, "I would've but I had a fast approaching deadline to meet. Plus, it's gonna get hard to keep the facade up when Killu-nii and Gon-nii get to the 200 floors."
"Pft." Hiso-nii just blew me off and then offhandedly mentioned, "You need to stop referring to everyone as your older siblings. That's a special name reserved for only the toughest. Not little kids."
My eyes sparkled in amusement, "What's this!? Hiso-nii is jealous of 'little kids?' I thought Hiso-nii didn't ever get jealous!"
Hiso-nii just glared at me as he walked over to a chair to sit down. "Just don't get too attached to my new fruit."
"Eh!" I got up from my seat. "Killu and Gon are your new fruits?! You're even meaner than Sebastian. And he's a demon! Meanie!"
I stormed out of the room and went to the elevator. Once inside the elevator I popped to my room and collapsed on my bed, staring at the ceiling waiting for Killu-nii and Gon-nii to get back.
Not even a few days later we got to the 190th-floor battles. The battles were a breeze and we all made it to the 200s. The only thing was I'm pretty sure Gon and Killu still haven't found out the truth behind Nen. So if I'm right, I don't think that this is going to go very well. We grabbed our stuff and made our way up the elevators.
"This is really nice!" Gon exclaimed as we entered the floor.
Killua nodded in agreement.
I stared ahead towards the receptionist's desk feeling Hiso-nii's presence. I sighed. This isn't looking good.
"Look! There is the sign that says desk. We should go that way." said Gon.
Hiso-nii hadn't activated his Nen yet but someone else's was.
Killua nodded and walked with Gon. I followed behind.
Suddenly, as they turned to start walking down the hallway they stopped. Killua and Gon tensed as I watched them from behind. The smile on my face fading by the second.
Killua was the first to move, "Let's go! We can do this."
Gon nodded in agreement and the marched on forwards. They made it halfway down the hall before they stopped walking again.
"Stop this!" Killua shouted. "Show yourself!"
One of the receptionists slowly walked towards us. She was the one releasing the Nen.
"Welcome to the 200th-floor Killua-sama, Gon-sama, and Angel-sama. The registration desk is this way." she pointed to where she came from. "So please register for a match today. You have until midnight to register, you will not be able to register after that time. There are currently 173 contestants on this floor. Weapons are allowed in all battles starting on this floor, so please you what you have. Also, there will be no prize money from this point forwards. You fight only for honor. So please understand this if you are going to participate."
As she was saying her schpiel, Hisoka came up behind her and used his Bungee Gum to throw a card in front of Gon and Killua's feet.
The receptionist jumped out of the way and Hisoka turned around to face us.
"Hisoka, what are you doing here?" Killua said, obviously shaken.
"It's not that surprising I'm here. Is it? This is a temple for fighting and I do love to fight. The question I want to know is why you are here? Just kidding. The real question is, Angel-chan, why are you hiding back there? I thought we were friends?"
"I-I-uh." I stammered and hid behind Killu-nii's back.
"So cute!" he squealed. "Now, I bet you're wondering why, I, the amazing Hisoka, am here. I don't know if you realized this but you ordered your tickets online and with little to no effort I was able to find out when you would arrive. Well, I knew that you would come here eventually. And so, as your senior, I have a suggestion for you. You're not ready for this floor." Hisoka shooed us back with a wave. "How soon you will be will depend on your efforts. But for now, you should leave."
"That's stupid!" Killua shouted. "We just got up here..."
And that is when Hiso-nii finally decided to pull out his Nen. Gon and Killu-nii's eyes widened. I felt Zushi's tutor's presence behind us and Gon decided to try to push through.
"Don't be reckless." Zushi's tutor, whose name I believe was Wing, said.
Gon, Killua, and Hisoka all look to the end of the hallway to see Wing walking towards them.
"You have no defense against his Nen. You will end up killing yourselves if you keep pushing." Wing said.
"This is Nen? He's stopping us with willpower. Liar!" Killu-nii says.
"I did lie. Though technically, there was some truth in my previous statement. Let's retreat for now and I will teach you the truth about Nen."
Gon turned to the lady and spoke up, "What will happen if we don't register today?"
"Gon-sama, you and Angel-sama will have to start again from floor 1. However, since Killua-sama has been here before, and refused to register, his commitment would be questioned and he would no longer be able to compete at Heaven's Arena."
Killua turned to Wing and said, "Wing-san, will we be able to make it back here by midnight?"
"That all depends on you..."
Gon turned to Killua and nodded in agreement that they should leave and return as soon as possible.
"Come on Angel-chan. Let's go." Gon said as him and Killua walked towards Wing.
"Angel." Wing addressed me. "You already know Nen, don't you? Would you like to sign-up before we leave?"
I glared at him. That was meant to be a secret!
Killu-nii and Gon-kun turned to me shocked.
"You know Nen and you didn't tell us?" Killu-nii shouted at me.
I nodded my head looking down at the floor.
"Why didn't you tell us Angel-chan?" Gon-kun said looking really sad.
"Ah, well... Um..." I started, not sure what to say.
"Whatever," Killu-nii said turning away from me. "Gon, let's go. We don't have time for this. Angel can do whatever she wants."
Gon-kun looked at me with pity, then turned to Wing-san and said, "Let's go."
I looked at them as they walked away. What should I do? Should I follow them? Do they hate me now? If I follow them would they let me explain? Should I just leave them alone? If I left, would they hate me more?
They started to walk away and I was left standing in the middle of the hallway all alone.
"Angel-chan, you should run along after your little friends before they disappear," Hiso-nii said from his spot on the floor.
"But Hiso-nii. What if they hate me?" I asked with tears in my eyes.
"If they hate you, they're not worth being your friend. Now run along and make sure your friends don't get away."
I nodded running to the elevators and pressing the button to go down as fast as I could so that it would come faster. When the door opened I immediately told the lady to get me down to the bottom floor as fast as possible.
The door ding-ed open at the bottom floor and I ran out trying to feel Gon-kun and Killu-nii's presence. Once I found their presence I tracked them to a 3-story apartment building where they were walking up the stairs.
I ran up to them and flung myself on them with tears in my eyes.
"Gon-kun, Killu-nii. I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hide it from you. It's just that Onii-san always told me that I had to keep it super secret and always act like I didn't know anything about it because if people found out then I would die and I never wanted to hurt you guys and I miss you and don't leave me." I said as fast as I could, tears rolling down my face.
Killu-nii turned around to face me, looking really panicked. "Please don't cry Angel-chan. I don't know what to do when girls cry."
Gon pulled me into a hug and said, "It's okay Angel-chan. You have a good reason not for telling us and now that we know that you know about Nen, we can trust in you to teach us. Right?"
I nodded my head and Killu-nii seemed to have calmed down a bit seeing that Gon had the situation handled.
Wing-san cleared his throat from where he had opened the door to his apartment. "We should hurry if you guys want to learn Nen in time."
"Right!" Gon said letting me go but still holding my hand for reassurance as we made our way up the last few steps into Wing-san and Zushi's apartment.
