Hanna entered Jesse's apartment and immediately noticed that Danny was asleep on the couch in the living room. Silently making her way inside she entered the spare bedroom and placed her bag and laptop on the bed. Closing the door carefully she took out her laptop and signed into Skype.

Going to her list of contacts she smiled when she saw that the person she wanted to talk to was online. Placing her call to that person Hanna waited patiently for them to pick up. Once the call went through she smiled. Lindsay smiled at the camera when she saw her friend.

-"Messer is asleep on Jesse's couch in the living room and I have the spare bedroom. How's Abby doing? She probably is confused that I left without saying goodbye to her." Lindsay glanced towards the small bedroom door next to her.

-"She misses you and she's been nothing, but an angel ever since I picked her up from pre-school. We had a girls' night, ordering a pizza and watching Frozen again. I gave her a bath and she's now asleep. Stella will pick her up tomorrow. She and Don promised Abby they'd take her to the zoo." .

Hanna nodded her head when she heard the news. Biting her lip, she wondered if she should give her permission to the idea. Looking back at Lindsay's face and remembering how much Abby loved to go to the zoo, Hanna reluctantly agreed to it. .

-"Linds? Can you please tell Don and Stella to be careful? It might take me a couple of days to return home. Things are very complicated in this town and I'm not sure what to think of it. I just want my daughter to remain safe and happy."

-"Is there something wrong? Are you worried about something happening to Abby while you are away?" Lindsay frowned to her camera. She got up from the couch for a moment to check up on Abby before returning to her seat.

-"How much did Messer tell you about what is going on here? Did he tell you anything about the person I'm, about the person they believe me to be?" Hanna stopped herself short. She finally realized that in order to beat A she would have to fake having amnesia for a while.

She still couldn't remember anything about the place where A took her and the girls years ago. Or how she got away and reached New York. None of that mattered as much right now as keeping Abby safe did. Her small 4 year old child was literally the reason why Hanna still breathed.

When she had been hit by Danny's car, Hanna had been several months pregnant. For some reason, despite her being in a serious state when she got to the hospital, her pregnancy hadn't been at risk. Once she had woken up and realized she had no memories of her past Hanna had panicked. It took her several weeks of counseling before she adjusted to the idea.

And then another shock had been thrown her way when she discovered that she was pregnant. The hospital and her counselor had insisted that she either terminate her pregnancy or that she put the child up for adoption given that she would have a really hard time raising it.

It was during one of her arguments with Social Services that she first met Mac Taylor. He had been shocked to hear what was going on so he and his team stepped in to help Hanna. Mac was the one that paid for her hospital bills while everyone else made sure to help her get a place to live in and a job.

A couple of months later, as Hanna approached her due date, she bought a lottery ticket. Much to her surprise and everyone else's joy she had ended up winning close to a million dollars. When she finally gave birth to Abby, Hanna stopped working for a while, focusing on raising her daughter. And once Abby's first birthday came Hanna took a risk and decided to open her own restaurant. She had been so successful with it that she now owned a second one and a bar as well.

But it was those first few months before Abby was born when Hanna and Mac had bonded. He had been there supporting all of her decisions and lending her a shoulder to cry on when she needed it. And there had been plenty of time when Hanna had broken down into tears.

She would often stay up at night rubbing her belly and wondering about her past. Was she single? Was she married? Were her parents alive? Did she have any siblings? Was her baby a planned one? Was she an unexpected surprise? Was her baby the reason she had been running on the streets? Was her baby's father around or not? .

In time, the new family bonds she had created with the CSI team made her life stop feeling so lonely. Lindsay and Jesse had made sure she would go out and have fun with them while Stella had taken her under her wings. Danny and Don, Jesse's former partner, and currently her ex-boyfriend, had turned out to be quite a pair of babysitters.

Abby loved to spend time with them, mostly because they would devote all of their energy and attention into matching her energy and talent for getting into trouble. Whenever Hanna left the three of them at home she would come home to find two tired men and one happy baby.

The only person that Abby never disobeyed was Mac. He would always be there to help Hanna if necessary and to help keep Abby away from trouble if necessary. Jesse had often said that Abby was a person that required the entire team to be all hands on deck, trying to figure out how to keep up with her.

Looking back at things now, Hanna was convinced that her child had gotten her talent for getting into trouble and Caleb's brains and cheekiness. She suddenly felt terrified of what that would mean for her once the teenage years arrived. Hanna could only hope that her child would stay away from trouble and actually just enjoy being a teen.

-"We spoke earlier on the phone and he told me everything. How are you holding up? Are you remembering anything? Are you ok?" Lindsay's voice over the microphone snapped Hanna out of her walk down the memory lane.

-"Not so sure about how I'm feeling. I'm mostly worried about keeping Abby safe. If I'm really Hanna Marin then whoever kidnapped me and those other girls is still out there and might come after me again. Or worse, they might come after Abby."

-"I know. Stella and I talked about this and one of us will be with Abby at all times. Right now it is weekend so we're going to keep Abby busy and if you're not back by Sunday night we'll just take her with us to work and keep her under Mac's supervision. He's really worried about this whole mess. Stella had to talk him into not coming after you guys a couple of times already."

-"I think it's something called being worried about your children and losing ten years of your life while doing it." Both women smiled before ending the conversation and calling it a night. Lindsay closed her laptop and made her way to Abby's bedroom. She settled on the bed next to the small girl, keeping her sleeping form in her arms.

Hanna shut down her laptop as well, making sure to close it and unplug the battery. If there was one thing she knew for sure, Rosewood was not a safe town to have secrets. Making her way to the window she looked outside, staring at the silent street. She had no idea how she was supposed to help the police get the girls back without letting A in on it.

Clenching her hands into fists, Hanna felt sparks of her old determination appear. She would find a way to figure out who A was and stop him once and for all. For now she had the advantage of everyone believing she still had amnesia.

Changing into a pair of sweatpants and an old t-shirt, Hanna got into the bed. Tomorrow would bring another day and hopefully Hanna would find a way of talking to Caleb and letting him know what was going on without getting on A's radar. Hanna's final thoughts before sleep took over her body were focused on the fact that Abby took a lot after her father, both in charm and in wittiness.

Hey guys,

I'm back with a new chapter. I'm so glad you guys enjoyed the previous one. I am pushing things a long so that we would soon start getting some answers about how Hanna escaped and ended up in New York. Millie your theory was interesting but I and not a fan of the twin theories and it's not the path I'm going none the less I truly appreciate te careful thinking you put into it. I hope this chapter brought some answers for you guys. I'll try to cntinue exploring the things that had happened both in Rosewood and in NY in the past 5 years. And prepare yourselves for A's return. Remember to leave a review.
