Lindsay Monroe opened the front door to Hanna's house, her blood freezing as she entered the home. Frowning, she grabbed her gun from her holster and made her way quietly throughout the house, checking every room. While nothing seemed out of place, her instincts told her something was wrong. After checking the house thoroughly two more times and finding nothing out of the ordinary she decided that she was probably just being paranoid and decided to go to the living room to watch TV, settling comfortably on the couch.
After flipping through the channels for a few minutes, Lindsay finally settled on an old 80s romantic comedy, dozing off halfway through it. She woke up, startled, when she heard someone use a key to open the front door. She groggily made her way towards the door and smiled when she saw Stela Bonasera walk in.
-"Hey, Lindsay." Stella greeted her friend with a smile on her face. She was carrying some stuffed animals while Don entered the room after her, carrying a sleeping Abby in his arms. "You spending the night?"
-"Yeah. I was thinking of staying over and maybe doing a Disney marathon with you and Abby." Lindsay smiled at her friend, noticing the stuffed animals. "You guys hit the souvenir store again?"
-"Guilty as charged." Stella placed the stuffed animals inside Abby's room while Don quietly carried Abby to her bed.
-"Hey, Lindsay? Why did you leave the window open inside Abby's room?" Don made his way to it and shut, making sure to lock it. "Em... I mean Hanna doesn't like the idea of this window being open."
Lindsay frowned as she walked over, taking a look at the window frame. "I didn't. When I got here hours ago this window was closed. Someone must have broken into the house while I was asleep on the couch."
-"How is that possible? This window has three different types of motion detectors. Hanna had them installed a month ago. Did you notice anything strange?" Stella spoke quietly so that they wouldn't wake the sleeping child.
-"I don't know. I just felt something was off when I walked inside the house so I checked every room several times. Nothing seemed out of place so I decided to watch TV and dozed off. I should have made sure to stay alert but I literally checked every single nook and cranny of this house and found nothing. I didn't hear anything either. Perhaps someone had been here right before me and was somehow able to deactivate the security system but then I showed up so they waited until I was asleep and then snuck into Abby's room? "
-"You could be right. It definitely seems like this is the case." Stella narrowed her eyes, studying the room carefully. "The picture of Abby's first trip to the zoo is missing. So is the one of her as a baby, the one that Hanna had placed on the nightstand. I don't know who this person is but if they were able to get past one of the strongest security systems that I have ever seen without being detected, then they must be very dangerous and very resourceful."
-"Stella, what do we do?" Lindsay rubbed her neck, watching the woman that had acted as her mentor ever since she had first arrived in New York.
-"You take Abby to Rosewood. Don, go with them to make sure everything is alright. You don't mention any of this to anyone but Hanna and our team, okay? I'll call the lab and have forensics come out and dust for fingerprints and look for traces of DNA so we can try to figure out who broke in."
Lindsay and Don nodded their heads. All three of them had three thoughts running through their heads. Was Hanna's mysterious kidnapper the one to break into the house? Had he or she taken their game to a new level? Were they now after Abby as well?
Hanna sighed in frustration. She couldn't remember anything about the place where A took her or how she escaped it. She figured the more time she spent in Rosewood the faster her memories would return. Eventually she asked Caleb to arrange a meeting with Paige, Ezra and Toby at the Brew.
She quietly took out her phone and texted Alison, asking her to come too. Caleb had long ago made sure that all their phones couldn't be hacked and had used his time to work on Hanna's as well. He had learned his lesson the night Hanna was arrested for Mona's murder.
Once everyone arrived at the brew, Ezra closed the coffee shop for privacy. Alison was the last one to walk inside the building and everyone turned around and eyed her suspiciously.
-"What is she doing here?" Paige's voice cut through the room, making Alison flinch. The pair of women stared at each other, neither being willing to back down. Hanna nearly chuckled as when she saw the determined look on Paige's face.
-"I just don't know what else it's going to take. You stuck a wet brain in her locker. She still showed up the next day with a smile on her face. Fine. I'll figure it out. Caleb, I just said I'll do it. I'll be there around 7:00."
Hanna remembered quite well what Paige had meant by "wet brain." She remembered all too clearly the warm welcome Caleb had given Mona when she was released from Radley.
-"Ugh!" Mona covered her mouth, shocked by the surprise someone had left inside her locker. She and Hanna had been talking up until she opened the door.
-"Mona, what is that? Is that a brain? Close your door. Come on, close your locker. Come on. What are you doing?" Hanna panicked, reading the note that had been waiting for Mona inside her locker. "Takes a Mad cow to know another."
-"She's here to help. I have an idea how to find the girls and she's the only way it's going to work." Hanna cleared her throat, her eyes pleading with Paige to calm down. "I think that the best way to lure out A is to send him a message. We make him, her, it, bitch believe that both me and Ali are alone and willing to meet up with A."
-"No. This is a bad idea. Why put yourself at risk like that? And it's not like any of us can trust Alison to help." Toby rejected the idea while Hanna sighed.
-"We have to talk." Hanna was determined to help things get better between Spencer and Toby. She waited while Mona left the classroom with a small grin on her face.
-"We have nothing to talk about." Toby just stared at Hanna. His eyes were deadly, his entire body tense. Hanna, however, didn't back off,
-"I get how you're mad at Spencer." She started talking. "But you're so mad you don't see what you're doing. Toby, you cannot let Jenna back into your life again." She continued.
-"What you need to do is shut up about my sister." Toby snapped at her.
-"If you're doing this because you're mad at Spencer…"
-"You have no idea what I'm doing or why I'm doing it." Toby cut her off while Hanna shook her head, disappointed by his answer.
-"Okay. Fine, I don't know anything. But what about you? Did you forget everything Jenna did to you?" Toby's eyes became even colder.
-"No. Did you forget what you did to her?" He walked out of the classroom, leaving a silent Hanna behind.
-"Toby, desperate times call for desperate measures. They're running out of time. And you know that A threatened to go after my child next. I'm asking that you all put aside personal differences and work together for Aria, Spencer and Emily's sake. Please."
-"Okay, fine. I'll do it. But A won't believe we're not scheming. Practically the whole town has their eyes on you, Hanna. And the entire police department is dedicated to this case as well. You won't be able to get past them, not even with my help from the inside."
-"Which is why we're going to work with them as well, letting everyone know what is going on. We need all the help we can get from the police, from our families and from each other."
-"I'm in. I'll do everything I can to help you save Aria and the girls and to stop A once and for all." Ezra spoke with fierce determination.
-"Caleb? I need your help on this. "
-"Is that even a question? That's my child's life at stake. It's time to put an end to this madness. However, just so we're clear, no one in this room should trust Alison."
-"And yet she will do everything to help find her friends despite it." Alison's voice sounded resigned to the idea that no matter how much time passed people's opinions about her would never change.
-"Then this is what we're going to do..."
