The funeral lasted a lot less than Hanna remembered. The air seemed to be chillier. A lump raised in Hanna's throat as she watched Alison burst into tears while Jason looked on devastated. Noel hugged Alison trying to calm her sobs. The ceremony finally finished and everyone raised to say their final goodbyes from the deceased.

Hanna left a small rose and then turned to walk to where Caleb and Mac were standing waiting. She looked around watching the people gathered for the funeral and then stopped. "Wren? What are you doing here?"

-"I joined the Wellby State Psychiatric Hospital once Radley closed. I heard that the police had found you and Spencer and I wanted to check up on you. I wanted to make sure you were alright."

-"I screwed up didn't I? They are probably going to send her to Morris now." A concerned Hanna asked Wren once he shown u, after the Radley's board hearing ended.

-"You did the opposite of screwing up. Based on your testimony, the board's decided to delay any decision to transfer Mona." Wren's impish smile let Hanna know she could breathe easier and to be happy.

-"She gets to stay?" She asked him excitedly.

-"She gets to stay" Wren confirmed.

-"Oh My God" Hanna launched herself at him aiming to kiss his cheek as a thank you. She ended up kissing him on the lips however.

-"I thought you'd be pleased" a surprised Wren took a step back from her.

-"I am. Thank you." Hanna took a step back embarrassed by the sudden turn of events.

-"You're welcome."

Hanna nodded her head. She felt slightly embarrassed by the memories that had suddenly popped up in her head. "I am, not so sure about Spencer but maybe we can go out one of these days and grab a coffee?"

-"Yes it would be great for us to do some catching up." Wren looked over Hanna's shoulder to where Caleb was standing watching him with narrow eyes. Spencer moved closer to Caleb staring at Wren as well. "Perhaps Spencer will join us?"

-"So are you going to tell me how you did this?" Wren finished suturing Hanna's leg. He calmly started dressing Hanna's wound.

-"I told you. I was cutting a carrot and the knife slipped." Hanna felt like banging her head against the kitchen countertop she was currently standing on, while Wren had applied the sutures on her leg. She was so tired of lying and Wren had so many questions about her leg wound.

-"And made a gash this big?" Wren continued asking. Hanna could tell he wasn't completely convinced of her explanation.

-"It was a big carrot", she stared at the ceiling praying he would stop questioning her.

-"Why didn't you just go to the hospital?" Wren paused for a moment to look at her face.

-"Look this is gonna sound crazy and I want to talk about it but I can't", she sighed, "it's not the right time."

-"Are you in some kind of trouble?" Wren asked her, his voice concerned.

-"No."

-"Alright". Wren raised his hand as if he surrendered. "No more questions".

-"Thank you."

-"Alright, this is going to help with the swelling." Once he finished applying the dressing to her wound Wren moved and helped Hanna to raise in a sitting position. "You're going to need to sleep with your leg elevated, so sleep with a pillow or something under it, okay?" He removed his gloves looking at Hanna. "Have you eaten dinner?"

-"Aaah", Hanna tried to remember when she had last eaten anything. "Last meal I had was a rice cake."

-"I'm going to give you some antibiotics but you shouldn't take them on an empty stomack." Wren moved to open the fridge's door. "So, 3 eggs, 2 meatballs and a pint of milk." He grabbed the milk and eggs and turned to look at Hanna. "A challenge but I'm up for it."

Hanna looked at Spencer and Caleb, one of her brows raised questioning their stares. "Maybe. I'll have to talk to her about it. And lately we've been doing a very remarkable job at avoiding each other. Please excuse me, Caleb and I need to head back home to our daughter."

Hanna headed to Caleb and after shortly hugging Spencer, they left the graveyard to head back home to the Marin's place. Spencer nodded her head to Wren and then headed to Toby who was quietly talking to Melissa and Eric. A shiver had been running down Spencer's spine ever since the funeral started. She knew without a doubt that Charles had been present. Glancing over to Aria and Emily's side she noticed that had been studying the crowd much in the same way she had but for a few minutes prior.

Alison excused herself and left the graveyard as well. Noel had insisted accompanying her back home and not leaving her alone inside the house. "Noel, I'm going to grab a shower. Please make yourself at home." Ali grabbed a Tshirt and a pair of sweatpants and locked herself in the bathroom while Noel waited for her in the living room.

Jason had approached him the night before and asked that he stayed with Alison for a couple of days as he had to go to Philadelphia shortly after the funeral ended to handle some work related issues. Noel poured himself a glass of whisky while waiting for Alison. His eyes landed on one of the pictures she kept of her and the girls in the living room.

-"Do you think we'll get a shot at redeeming ourselves?" He stared into the picture's reflection while his mind headed miles away.

-"People like you and I have done so many terrible things, that even when we do the correct one, we still get tried and burned at stake." Alison made her way quietly to him and on an impulse hugged his back letting her head rest against him. "And yet I fear that if I were to be granted a wish of doing things over I would not take it. That I would still be stuck as being the mean girl."

Noel intertwined their hands turning to look at her. "Terrible persons don't go the lengths you and I went to keep Hanna safe and find the other girls." Alison looked at him for a moment before nodding her head. "You know we only have one way out of this, Ali. We need to tell the cops what happened to Hanna. Why she was running through New York's streets and more importantly how she got there."

-"You're right. I'm just scared that once we do this… Once we finally come forth with the truth, then I'll truly have lost the only friends I ever had." Noel kissed the top of her head, his mind set in place for the next course of action.

-"You weren't the only one that made that call Ali, remember? I made that call too. We both have thrown the dices and we both need to live with it. But you are not alone. You never will be because I'm standing right by your side."
