Steve expertly maneuvered his Silverado in and out of traffic. He wished he didn't have to deceive his team but he didn't regret his decision. Grover's daughter was going to go home to her family and that was that.
"Well done commander"
"I did what you asked now let her go"
"Not so fast commander, did you think it would be that easy. No I need you to drive to the location I have texted to your phone. When you arrive you will retrieve a package for me. No funny business I'm watching you. Once you have retrieved said package you will deliver it to me and I will let Samantha go."
"How will I know where this package is and what exactly is it I am retrieving."
"You will find it on the fourth floor. Room 406. As for what it is don't worry about it just know it is very valuable to me."
" okay, so I get your package you let Samantha go"
"Precisely, you catch on kind of slow commander, but that is how this works it is called a trade."
After that the line went dead, a moment later it buzzed with an incoming message. Steve pressed on the gas. He could here Danny complaining in the passenger seat about wanting to get to their destination alive. He smiled at the thought.
Steve pulled up at the coordinates Write had sent him, it was an eight story building that looked locked down tighter than fort knox.
"No wonder Ian wouldn't come here himself"… he thought. Steve grabbed his gear from the tool box on the bed of the truck and snuck around behind the compound hoping to find a way in that would not get him killed.

Danny was the first one back to the palace, which he found odd because Steve had left the airport before anyone else. He took out his phone and dialed Steve's number.
"This is Commander Steve McGarrett please leave your name and number and I will get back to you."
"Damn it Steve where are you" Danny said into the phone as he walked towards his office.

Steve crept around the to back of the building where he saw a guard standing next too the door. He snuck up behind him and choked him out while putting his hand over his mouth to keep him from making any noise. Once the guard had been disabled, he searched his pockets taking his key card and quickly opening the door. The building looked like a military base very monotone and clean. There were a few offices directly in front of him with men in grey and black suits talking on the phone seeing the door to the stairwell to his right he quickly ducked through the door and started up the stairs. Once he reached the 4th floor, he stopped checking to see if the hallway was clear. Luckily, there was no one in sight. He quickly made his way through the door and to room 406. Once inside the room he saw a small metal box sitting on the desk in the corner. Assuming this was the package, he quickly grabbed it and stood next to the door.
Just as Steve began to exit the room, he saw a man in combat gear with an M16 slung across his shoulder walking down the hall. He ducked back into the room, hoping the man had not seen him. Luckily, the man continued walking. After a few seconds, he rounded the corner and Steve made his move. Quietly, he made it to the stairwell and down the stairs as fast as he could. With a quick check to see if anyone was coming, he bolted out the door and ran around the side of the building. As he was running he heard yelling and hear footsteps behind him. Knowing he couldn't stop, he kept running. Soon, he heard gunshots and felt the hot breeze as they zoomed past his head. Just as he was about to round the corner, he felt a searing hot pain in his left side. Stumbling for a moment, he caught his balance and dove out of sight. Making his way back to his truck, he quickly hoped in and drove off. Once he knew he was safe distance away, he pulled into a parking lot and checked his side. It wasn't bleeding much. Just a graze. He quickly grabbed a rag he had in his backseat and tied it around his waste. A few moments later his phone rang.
"Well done commander, I trust you have what I asked for?"
