Chapter 70: Everlasting Peace

Night Time...

Echo was on in the middle of the forest on the Pikachu side of Sunset Island. He was on top of a tree and was staring at the large full moon above him and he shook his head.

{This is to save my mom and dad. Kirby should understand that.} He whispered to himself. He sighed quietly then noticed something enter his Aura Radar. He stood up slowly, silently charging electricity around his left paw, then quickly swung behind him. Before he could hit his target, he felt his entire body stop in place. He stared at the mysterious aura in front of him and saw Meloetta slowly appearing. She had her hand held out in front of him with her eyes glowing bright purple. Echo just stared at her while letting his attack fade away. The pressure around him went away and Meloetta sat next to him. Echo remained silent and sat down with her, not bothering to question her. They stared at the starry night sky silently until Meloetta place her head on Echo's shoulder. He lightly pushed her head away and sighed. {What do you want Meloetta, shouldn't you be with the others?} He asked.

{Was this the best decision Echo?} She asked. He frozed at the question, looking away with a frown appearing on his face. He stayed quiet for a couple of minutes then moved away from her.

{It was Meloetta, and it still is.} He answered, refusing to look at her.

{But you're alone now Echo.} She argued.

{No I'm not, I'm with my family now.} Echo turned to look into her eyes and growled under his breath. He look into the distance to see where his Dad was then look down from the tree. {I'm going back home. You do what you want.} He told her and jumped off the tree. Meloetta remained on the tree and shook her head while she watched Echo walk back home.

{He doesn't want to deny he made a painful decision, but...} She slowly turned invisible and remained on the tree for the rest of the night. Echo made it back home and saw Saix standing in front of the door waiting for him. Echo walked up slowly to his father slowly and bowed.

{I'm home dad.} He told him.

{Welcome back son.} Saix replied back. {Come on, let's get some rest.} Saix opened the door and went inside the house. Echo followed behind, but stopped at the doorway and looked back towards the ocean. He thought to himself for a bit until he heard his father calling to him and quickly entered the house, closing the door behind him.

In front of Kiro's House... Early in the Morning...

Echo was hiding behind a rock and was breathing heavy. He growled under his breath when he felt a large attack heading towards him. {Aura Barrier!} He yelled and surrounded himself with a large amount of Aura. The rock completely shattered into pieces from the attack and collided against Echo's barrier, pushing him back with an excessive amount of force. The attack kept pushing the shield until it finally bounced off and allowed Echo to drop his defense. He fell to his knees and kept himself up with his paw.

{Come on Echo? Is that all you got?} Axel asked. Echo stood back up fast and growled at the mock. {That's more like it! Aura Sphere!} Axel formed two Aura Spheres on his paws and threw them towards him. Echo quickly ducked below one then jumped over the other, landing back on the ground then dashing towards Axel.

{Aura Claw!} Echo surrounded both paws in aura then formed a set of claws. He lunged himself in front of Axel then slashed him four times. {Force Palm!} He gathered aura at the center of his paw then thrusted it into Axel's chest, exploding it once it made contact. Echo moved back and stared at the smoke clearing to reveal the Lucario brushing himself and sighing disappointed.

{Come on Echo. Is that seriously all you got?} He questioned. Echo grit his teeth then saw Axel form a fist. {Bone Rush!} He extended his paw and created a long energy bone and dashed towards him.

{Tch... Iron Tail!} Echo turned his tail into solid iron and collided against Axel's bone, swinging it left and right to block the attack. Axel clashed his bone against Echo's tail one last time then slid the bone below Echo's feet, causing him to trip, then put his paw over Echo's chest.

{Aura Wave!} Axel gathered aura around his paw the released a powerful wave of energy against his chest. Echo was overwhelmed by it and flew away from the attack at full force. He landed on the ground hard, completely exhausted and breathing heavy. He slowly stood back up, letting more aura come out of his body.

{That's enough.} Saix announced. Echo stopped releasing aura then look up at the house roof to see his dad. Saix jumped over to Echo to hold him up and smiled. {We have a ton of work to do if you wanna use Limit Break.} He told him. Echo growled under his breath and and simply nodded.

[Seems like we need to extend our training if we want to catch up to them.] Fenrir informed Echo.

[Yeah, seems like it.] Echo answered, then looked at his father and saw ear perked up, twitching softly. {What's wrong dad?} Echo asked. Saix lowered his ears as he shook his head and started to walk them back inside the house.

{It's nothing son, but lets get inside and rest for awhile. We can continue our aura training later.} He told him. Echo nodded and walked with his father by his side. Axel followed from behind, all three stopping at the dining room. Kiro was in the Kitchen and he smiled when he saw the Pokémon gathering.

"Hey guys, breakfast will be ready soon." Kiro told them. Saix helped Echo sit down on his chair then sat next to him. Axel sat on the chain in front of Echo as Kiro passed a good a plate to each of them. "Eat up." He went back to the kitchen to leave them to eat. Echo grabbed his fork and was about to dig in, but stopped all of a sudden and stared at the food.

Flashback

Echo was with Kirby and his Pokemon, waiting for the food to be served. Everyone was talking to each other while waiting and sharing memories of the adventure they're having.

"Alright guys, time to eat" Kirby yelled. He handed food to everyone and they started eating it. Echo was talking to Eva and Blade and started to laugh lightly at their conversation.

Axel was munching on his food, but notice Echo doing nothing.

{Not hungry pal? I'll be happy to eat it for you.} Axel told him. Echo looked over to Axel then shook his head.

{No, I'm okay. I'll eat it.} He told him. He picked up some food and started eating.

Everyone finished their meal and Kiro decided to clean their plates while they went outside to continue training.

They sat on the ground quietly listening to the wind howl. They let their mind blank and meditate quietly.

Echo's Mind...

Echo was moving around quickly in his mind while Fenrir had multiple Aura Sphere's surrounding the air around him. Fenrir thrust him arm forward and a Aura Sphere quickly rushed towards Echo.

{Swift Speed!} Echo surrounded his feet with Aura to gave himself a quick burst of speed to dodge the Aura Sphere. {Electro Punch!} He surrounded his paw with Aura and electricity then quickly position himself behind Fenrir. He swung his fist while Fenrir responded with a small step to the left to dodge the attack and snapped his fingers. Echo was surrounded in red electric aura and couldn't move a muscle. {What the-?}

{Magnetic Force.} Fenrir pushed Echo away with his tail and slammed him against a wall. Fenrir pointes his tail up and Echo was suddenly tossed up, crashing into the ceiling. Lastly, Fenrir thrust his tail down, sending Echo straight back to the ground. Echo took a gasp of air before glaring at Fenrir.

{What is this?!} He yelled.

{Magnetic Force, it allows me to surround my opponent with electricity and aura to toss their body around. I'm sort of like a magnet, but I repel them instead of attracting them. This will be a new move you'll unlock today.} He informed.

Outside Echo's Mind...

Echo was glowing bright red aura around his body and felt his paws surround themselves with new power. Echo lightly sighed then stood up. He looked towards Saix and Axel and saw them standing up too. Saix walked up to Echo and gave him a soft smile.

{Okay, meditating time is over.}

{Are we gonna continue training?} Echo asked. Saix shook his head then patted his son's back.

{No son, we are going to prepare to meet with Muzét and your mom.} He answered. Echo stared at his father for a bit then growled.

{I'll get ready.} He walked to the house and left his father there. Saix growled quietly and looked over to the Eevee side.

{Alright Muzét. Let's see what you want now.} He whispered.

The group was walking down the forest slowly. Kiro was wearing a professional suit along with Saix and Echo, who were wearing a small bow tie around their neck and their fur shining brightly. Echo tried to secretly loosen his bow, only for his father to fix it again.

{Come on dad, do I have to wear this?} He asked. Saix sighed quietly and turned around to continue his travel.

{As much as I hate it too, your mother finally gets to see you and me after such a long time, and she will bite our heads off if we didn't dressed up for the occasion, so it's better this way.} He explained. Echo just gave a simple nod and saw a large building in front of them. Many Eeveelutions gathered around to watch the group heading into the building. They went inside the building and saw Muzét sitting near a round table. Annie and Celsius was next to her, staring at the Pokémon concern. They all looked up and the all stood up and walked up to them.

"It's good to see you again Annie." Kiro whispered to her. Annie just kissed his cheek softly and hugged him, crying tears down her cheek.

"I missed you Kiro, so much. It's been so long since I've seen you, I-"

"Shh. Annie, calm down. We're together again now. That's all I could ask for of anything" Kiro wrapped his arms around her tightly and returned the hug. As the trainers embraced, the Pokémon gathered around each other. Saix gives a warm hug to Celsius, letting her cry in his shoulder a bit, while Echo and Muzét glared at each other.

{I thought you would have ran off with your trainer, didn't think you would stay and try.} Muzét admitted. Echo held his paw tightly and sighed.

{I want my family together again. That's all I want.} He told her. Celsius just stared at him worried along with Saix until Muzét cleared her throat and everyone separated. Kiro covered his hands in aura and placed them on Annie's ears. She looked at him confused while he gave a smile.

"So we can understand them easier." She have a acknowledged nod then stared at Muzét.

{Everyone sit, we'll begin our discussion now.} Muzét ordered. The trainers and Pokémon sat down around the table and stared at each other. Muzét lifted her ribbons and had one on the table.

{This meeting will be discussing the future of Sunset island and the changes that will occur. I'll consider making peace with the other side now.} She looked over to Echo then over to his parent. Saix nodded and stared up.

{It's a start Muzét. We're ready to make peace with the Eevees anytime, it's now your call if you want the peace to be officially declared, and this whole side difference will be broken.} He declared. {Kiro?} His trainer got out a peace of paper that should what would happen if peace was gonna be made. Four empty squares were at the bottom and Saix pulled the paper over to him. He got out a ink bottle and covered his paw in black ink, placing it on one of the squares and marking his paw on it. He looked over to Celsius who did the same and marked a different square. The paper was passed to Echo and he stared at. He read it over and saw there will be no more random fights between the two evolutions unless consent was made. They can live separately or together by choice and both guardians of each island will work together to make it more safe. Echo slowly covered his paw with ink then placed it in the square. He passed the paper over to Muzét, who stared at it and smiled.

{I'm not gonna sign this yet.} She told them. Everyone stared at her curious until she grabbed Echo's paw and his parent glared at her. {I said I'm gonna consider peace, not declare it. I'm gonna go on a date with Echo first.} Echo tilted his head at the word date a bit confused, but stared at her ribbon holding his paw while the others stared at Muzét surprised. {Depending on how the date goes, it will make me consider if I should make peace or not.} Echo just have a confused nod. Muzét smiled and went past Echo. {I'll see you later Echo. Celsius, Annie, let's go.} Celsius just glared at Muzét, but followed her orders and followed her with Annie behind. Echo was left confused and looked over to his dad.

{Dad.} He called out. Saix glances over to his son while Kiro watched Annie leave

{What is it son?} He questioned. Echo remained quiet for a few seconds then tilted his head to the other side.

{What's a date?} Saix stared at his young boy surprised while Kiro silently laughed. Echo left his head tilted at their reactions.

Kirby...

Kirby made it back to Cynthia's Villa with the group. He stared training his Pokémon with Ash in the middle of the day, preparing for the up coming tournament.

"Pignite, use Flame Charge!" Pignite stomped the ground repeatedly to surround a cloud of dust around him then burst through surrounded in a fire cloth and running towards Blade.

"Slide behind him and Vine Whip his leg!" Blade quickly ran up to Pignite sliding around his right side then got behind him, releasing his vines to grab his legs and trip him. "Sludge Bomb!" The Bulbasaur turned his bulb bright purple then shot toxic bomb onto the fire-type. It exploded upon impact and Pignite was left fainted on the floor.

"Pignite is unable to battle! Blade is the winner." Cilantro announced. Kirby remained silent while Blade walked up to him slowly. They both stared at each other for a bit then Kirby returned his Pokémon back inside his Pokeball. He held the Pokeball tightly then looked over to Eva. They retreated away from the group, leaving Ash to pick up Pignite while the others gathered around him.

"Do you think Kirby is gonna be alright?" Dawn asked. They all remained quiet while Ash stared at the pink trainer walking away from the villa towards a small forest. After a certain amount of time, Kirby took off his hat and let his Pokémon out of their Pokeball. Chepi, Blade, Eva, Rammus, Ichiro and Zeus stood quietly in front of Kirby as he turned around.

"Train hard guys." Is all he said before taking out a brown candy orb and ate it.

Transformation in progress...

A band of light forms into the headband. It comically comes off his head, but he catches it and puts it on. He then makes energy pulses with his hands and does a little spin.

Kirby turned to a large rock in front of him and continuously punches it. His Pokémon just stared at him quietly then turned to each other.

{Kirby seems really off today, why, and where's Echo?} Zeus asked. The group went silent, looking away from the confused Eelektrik. {What?}

{Zeus, Echo left our team to be back at home, we got that news from Vi.} Blade answered him. The electric Eel just stared at him then back at Kirby,

{So Kirby is upset about that I'm guessing.} He concludes. Blade just looked towards another rock and wrapped his vines around it.

{Nothing we can do now. Echo found his family, he has every right to stay with them now.} He whispered. He tightened his grip around the rock and started to crack the rock. Eva looked towards Chepi, who remained silent and stared at the ocean, then walked up to her.

{Everything okay Chepi?} Eva asked. The normal Pokémon looked at her then back to the ocean.

{I just miss him Eva, that's all.} She answered. Eva just remained by Chepi's side while looking over to Rammus, who was facing Ichiro in a small sparring match. They tackled against each other and Herdier held Ichiro's Scalchop tight with his teeth. Herdier jumped away from the Pokémon and both were about to prepare a strong attack until every flinched at a loud scream and explosion behind them. They saw Kirby standing in front of a empty space with shattered rocks shards around him. He gave a quiet sigh then turned around.

"We all have our feelings about Echo leaving guys, but we can't stop here. We're gonna continue to move forward and go to the Unova League. We came this far, why stop now." He told them. The Pokémon stared at each other for a bit while Ichiro walked up to Kirby, removing a bit of his scarf to show his smile.

{That's what I want to hear Kirby.} He said and stood behind him. Kirby stared at the rest of his Pokémon, as Zeus moved like Ichiro and stood behind his trainer.

"Blade? Rammus?" He questioned. The grass type was glaring at Kirby quietly, but hanged his head in defeat and nodded.

{As much as I hate to admit it, you're right. No need to cry about it now, time to move forward. Echo is with his mom and dad. It's what he always wanted, time to accept it,} Blade answered and got behind Kirby. Rammus grit his teeth, growling under his breath.

{I entered this team only because of Echo. As much as I don't want to continue knowing my first friend left, Kirby is showing he isn't gonna back now in desperate moments.} He stares into his trainers eyes and grinned. {I respect that.} Finally walks behind him, as they stare at the remaining two. Chepi and Eva remained quiet until Chepi quietly walked behind Kirby, not bothering to say a word. Kirby stared at Eva, who stood up and used Vine Whip to grab Kirby tightly and brought him back towards her. Kirby was about to panic until he saw the large amount of hate in her eyes.

{I know you threw the match Kirby. Echo knows too.} She whispered. The Star Warrior remained quiet, looking away from her, just to be pushed back and the Snivy finally walking behind him. He quietly nodded and looked back to his Pokémon.

"Let's continue to train. The tournament is coming up soon, so let's win it!" He yelled. His Pokémon have a loud battle cry and they started their intense training.

Echo...

Inside Annie's house...

The young Pikachu had his fur shining brightly, wearing a styling black bow tie around his neck. He cheeks were bright red and a small top hat between his ear. He stared at his Mom and Dad, then at the mirror with a odd look. {Why am I dressed up like this again?} He asked. His father sigh as he explained it dozens of times already and looked at his wife. Celsius walked up to him and fixed his bow tie a bit.

{Cause you are taking lady Muzét on a date, Echo.} She answered. Echo was about to question it, but his mother beat him. {A date is a occasion where two people meet each other and try to enjoy their company. Well... hmm.} She quietly hummed as she finished fixing his bow tie. {Just... do your best and be yourself.} She said and dusted Echo off as stared up at the ceiling. He closed his eyes and escape to his mind room.

{Fenrir, do you know what a "date" is?} Echo asked. The Aura being silently pondered at the question then shook his head.

{Haven't been on one. All I know is you have to be nice to the partner you are meeting.} He said. Echo just sighed and scratch his ear sightly, going back to reality to stares at his parent talking to one another. He stared at his paw for a bit until a loud knock was heard at the door. His parent quickly reacted by Celsius going to get her trainer and Saix sitting to his, staring at Echo with blank eyes.

{It's all up to you son. Do your absolute best to impress Muzét.} He cheered. Echo lowered his ears, scratching his arm softly and looking towards the door.

{But what if my best isn't good enough and I fail you?} He asked. Saix just smiled softly, and looked up.

{Well it's good enough for me.} He said and Annie came into the room to open the door. Everyone stared at the door and saw Muzét walking into the room. She had a diamond necklace around her neck and had herself groomed for the occasion. She moved her ribbon in front of Echo, holding it near his face. Echo stared at the ribbon confused for a bit then looked at her.

{S...Something you want your highness?} He asked. The pink Pokémon just sighed and shook her head.

{I'm yours tonight Echo. Please call me Muzét instead of your highness.} She requested. Echo tilted his head for a second, then moved his hand to hold her ribbon and smiled.

{Yes Muzét.} He walked next to Muzét, holding her ribbon softly as she stared at his parents.

{The date will begin now. Please have a wonderful day.} She said and walked out the door, pulling Echo behind her. Saix and Celsius stood next to each other, holding each other's paws and closed their eyes.

[Do your best Echo...] They thought quietly. They looked up at their trainers, Kiro holding Annie in his arms while she rested peacefully against him. Celsius just remained quiet while Saix got close and held her quietly.

{Trust in our boy.} He simply said as she nuzzled her face against his chest and relaxed.

Echo was walking beside Muzét, looking around at the shops they walk by. Then looked at her curious. {Where are we going Muzét?} He asked her. The Pokémon turned her head and smiled at the Pikachu.

{To the park to enjoy our date for a bit.} She said and continued to pull Echo. He sighed quietly then saw a shop with a small star pendant for sale. He kept his eye on it until it was out of sight and made it to the park. Muzét clapped her ribbons as Efreet and Volt came out of the bushes to set up a picnic area then disappeared back inside the bush. Echo's ear twitched softly as he hears Volt and Efreet whispering to each other. He settles down on the blanket and watches Muzét sit next to him. He stares at her for a bit then tilts his head.

[What do I say on dates? Hmm... Oh!] He thought. He sighs quietly then fixes his head. {Hey Muzét.}

{Yes Echo?} She asked.

{I don't really know much about you when I think about it. Can you tell me about yourself?} He asked.

{Um... sure. As you know, I am the daughter of the previous King Eevee and Queen Eevee.}

{Yes, they were assassined by a group of Pikachus which is why you hate them now, but other than that...} Muzét looks at him curious. {I want to know about what you like, hate, how you relax, and may other things. You can tell me your backstory too, I just want to get to know you better.} He reasoned. Muzét just remains quiet and looks away for a second then smiles.

{Okay, but in return, you have to tell me about yourself too. If I share something, you have to share something back.} She declared. Echo gave a simple nod and the Eeveelution smiled. {What would you like to know then?}

{Let's start of with something simple. What do you like to eat?} He asked.

{I like to eat things that are very sweet, like candy or cake. It's gives a nice feeling for my sweet tooth.} She answered, she happily hums at the thought of it then looks at him. {How about you?}

{I enjoy a bit of spicy and sweet. I like how it likes my tongue on fire at times while it gives me that sweet flavor I'm looking for. I can't really say I like something specific since Kirby made it good no matter what type of dish he made.} He answered. The Slyveon giggled lightly and nodded.

{Sounds like a nice flavor. Ask me another thing.} She happily said.

{Okay, another simple thing. What do you hate to eat.} He asked.

{Simple, I hate to eat sour things. The feeling of it never settles in with me, and I nevered enjoyed how it leaves my mouth. You?}

{I'd say things that are bitter. I haven't been able to handle that kind of stuff at all, but I'm lucky that Kirby was able to not give me anything too bitter.} Muzét smile went away a bit as she stared at him smiling.

{Next one.}

{Hmm. How about a bit of past. Can you tell me about it?} He asked. She stared at quietly then held her ribbons together.

{Well, after mom and dad died from those Pikachus, I was forced to become the next royal queen to guide the Eevee side. Due to my hate with Pikachus after that, I decided to lead the Eevee side to a relationship of hate against them, leading to the large conflict you see now. Besides that, I was forced to do what Mom and Dad did by myself. I had to assign the Guardians of the Eevee side. I had to do most royal meeting and royal decisions by myself. I was alone most of the time. I didn't really had time to be a child and have fun with other Eevees, I had to be mature the moment they declared me as their queen. I had to led my people at a young age} She stared at him for a bit. {Can you tell me about your past?} She asked. Echo scratched his head for a bit then nodded.

{I agreed I would share if you shared. So yeah.} He smiles softly, not looking at her at all. {Well, due to your decision of hating Pikachus. You split my mom and dad away from each other and forced them to give up their egg. I was born a orphan cause of that...} Muzét stares at him quietly. {... And I by a Chansey that led a orphanage for lost Pokemon. I was forced to stay there for a very long time, cause I didn't really belong anywhere. I made connections to many Pokémon, but each one left after some time passed. I had two amazing friends in that orphanage but they had to leave due to being "adopted" there already. I was alone for a very long time after that, and I felt broken. I had enough then ran away from the orphanage.} Muzét lowered her head and was about to grab his arm.

{Echo...}

{But then I met Kirby and Eva.} Her ears perked up immediately. {They gave me a home and a family to call my own. They treated me not as someone that needed to be helped, but rather someone they wanted to help. They gave me so much, then we went on that long journey. We gathered so many new friends, and I found my two great friends from the orphanage. I have gotten stronger than I was before, and I knew I was happy to be in their family. Kirby, Eva, Rammus, Sky, Zoey, Leon, Helios, Blade, Rose, Ivy, Soak, Kindle, Chepi, Zues, Ichiro, Acer, Amber, And Aqua. Every single one of them will always be connected to me as I am connected to them. No matter how far we are.} He answered her. Muzét looked down with a frown and sighed quietly.

{Do you regret leaving them?} She asked. Echo held a strong smile, looking at the sky.

{Never in my mind do I doubt the decision I made. I know Kirby went easy on me, to give me the chance to me with mom and dad, but still. I am here now to enjoy my time with them.} He answered. Muzét remained quiet, while Echo looked up at the sky. [Well, might as well enjoy the moment. There's nothing else to do and I have to stay be her side till this date is over.] He thought then lets out a quiet sigh. He looks up at the sky, trying to enjoy the moment for now. [I wonder how everyone else is doing.] He continues to look up at the sky till he felt a ribbon wrapped around his paw. He look at Muzét confused, but saw her relaxing against him. He stared at her for a bit then looked back up. [She seems happy, might as well let her enjoy herself.] He continues to think while holding her ribbon back by instinct. He quietly surrounds them in a thin aura bubble to let Muzét relax in peace while he remained quiet.

Look, I'm trying my best to write this story, but even I can't stay to write this story every week anymore. I wish I could. I'm so close to finishing it. I can actually achieve it! I'll finish this story one day! It will take a long time to upload each chapter, but I'll try. Wait for me my people!
