Team Rocket...
Team Rocket have arrived back into home base and went directly inside it. After a couple of hallways, Jessie, James, and Dr. Zager entered Giovanni's room. He was sitting behind a desk, petting his Persian quietly as he stared at his members greeting him with a bow.
"We have returned sir." Dr. Zager announced. Giovanni stopped petting his Pokemon and stared at his proud scientist.
"Dr. Zager, I expect good news from what you have found on Reversal Mountain." He claimed but stared at the other two members and frowned disappointedly. "Where is Meowth?" He questioned. Dr. Zager nodded and stepped to the side to reveal Meowth covered in black spores. Meowth looked up to stare at the man in front of him.
'So this is their boss?' He questioned. Giovanni keeps his focus at the cat curious as Dr. Zager cleared his throat.
"We have found something very interesting sir, and that something has taken control of Meowth perfectly." He answered. Dark Meowth gave a grin then bowed.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, sir. I am Dark Matter, the one they speak of." Giovanni remained silent, looking toward the other three.
"I see it has taken control of Meowth. Why did you bring it here?" He asked.
"He wants to make a deal sir," James answered. Giovanni raised a brow while Jessie stepped up.
"He is not gonna leave Meowth alone until we find another Pokemon for him to control." She added. Dark Meowth sighed under his breath then jumped on the boss's desk.
"That's right. I need a new body to possess. This one seems to be lacking a bit on strength." Dark Meowth declared, letting Meowth's claws extend. "Still, this body is capable of so much more than it can do now. I will remain in this body and train in it to make it strong as I want. Until then, I want you to find me another... "Pokemon"... to possess. You find it, I will give your beloved Meowth back, and I will follow your orders as the Pokemon you gave me." He declared. The boss remained silent until Meowth extended his paw. "So do we have a deal?" He questioned. Giovanni stared at the paw then laughed a little. He gave a menacing glance into the Meowth's eye and grabbed his paw.
"We have a deal Dark Matter. We already have an idea on what Pokemon will you control for us, and three more as a bonus." He added. Dark Meowth secretly gave Giovanni's dark spores into his palm as he nodded and smiled at the idea.
"Three more Pokemon to control. You don't seem to disappoint me one bit." He formed a large dark particle ball with his other ball. "I will control those Pokemon easily with this. One hit with this ball and their as good as mine." He let the ball disappear. "The deal is sealed." He let go of Giovanni's hand then looked over to the other three. "So, where do we start?" Dr. Zager thought about what he just said when he created the dark ball then took a gasp of air with realization.
"I would like to conduct an experiment with you Dark Matter." Dr. Zager told him. The possessed Meowth looked at him curiously as the team left the boss's room and headed to his lab. Dr. Zager opened up the roof and the ground rumbled violently. The floors split opened to reveal a large cannon coming up from the underground, pointing towards the open roof. Dr. Zager turned around to stare at Dark Matter. "If you are capable of controlling those three with what you just form, why not use this cannon to control other Pokemon in this region to aid us in our battle?" He suggested. Dark Meowth stared at the cannon curious, humming quietly at the thought of it.
"That is a curious plan Dr. Zager, but my power has a limit. If I'm not in front of them to give them an order, I can't control them. It will most likely go on a rampage." He replied. Dr. Zager acknowledges his statement until James stepped up.
"That is exactly what we need. With Pokemon rampaging randomly in the region, it will take their attention off of us and anyone in our way will focus on controlling those Pokemon first." James planned.
"With no attention on us, it will be easier to claim what we want," Jessie added. Dark Meowth pondered about what they said then nodded. He formed a large dark ball then approached the cannon, putting it inside and nodding to the scientist. Dr. Zager typed in random coordinates, making the cannon lift its head up slowly then fired the dark matter ball with a powerful blast.
"We'll see how this works..." Dark Meowth whispered, watching the dark matter disappear slowly from sight. 'I hope master arrives soon.' He thought quietly to himself, as he stared at the Team Rocket members and gave an unknown eerie smile as they discussed the plan without him.
Chapter 71: A Shadow Emerges
Sunset Island... The Park...
Echo remained close to Muzét while she relaxed against him. He kept his eyes on the town, thinking about the star necklace he saw before. He pondered for a bit then gave a small nod confirming his thought. He shook Muzét lightly to grab her attention.
{What is it Echo?} She asked. He tilted his head, not sure what to say.
[I want to get her that necklace, but how do I do that without making it seem like I'm just ditching her.] He thought to himself. His ear twitched as he got an idea. {Are you hungry?} He questioned. Muzét hummed at the odd question.
{Yes, I am a bit hungry.} She replied. Echo's eyes sparkled.
[A chance.] He stood up quickly and pointed towards the city. {I'm going to get us some food then.} He told her. She pouted slightly and wrapped her ribbon around his paw.
{You're gonna leave me alone... aren't you?} She asked. Echo stared at the ribbon holding him then back to her. He slowly grabbed her ribbon with his other paw, staring into her eyes carefully.
{Don't worry. I'll be back as soon as possible. Never will I leave a beautiful Pokemon like you here alone without a good reason.} He confirmed to her. Muzét lowered her head and moved her ribbons to her face to hide her blush. She remained quiet for a few seconds then looked at Echo.
{Please hurry back.} She told him. Echo nodded then quickly dashed towards the city. Muzét sighed softly and wrapped her ribbons around herself. [What is happening to me...? Why am I acting like this...? All Pikachus are the same. I hate Pikachus for a reason. So why...? Why do I actually like this one?] She thought to herself. She only lowered her head, remaining quiet and waits for Echo to return.
In town...
Echo was passing by multiple stores, staring at each one and sighing quietly. {Which on was it...} He whispered to himself. He saw multiple Eevees and Eeveelutions passing by, each one glaring at him and growling quietly. Echo just stared at each one quietly, then continued to move forward. He lowered his ears at each passing store until he found the Star Necklace. He opened the shop's door to let a bell ring and moved in front of the counter while the lady came out of the back room with a Flareon on her shoulder.
"Hello, can I... help you?" She looked around the store confused at where the customer was until Pikachu jumped on the counter. She freaked out a little while Flareon got in front of the Pikachu and growled at his face.
{What do you think you're doing here in our side?} She asked. Echo just stared at the lady behind her then pointed towards the place where the Star Necklace was.
{I want to buy the star necklace.} "Pika Pika." He responded. Flareon tilted her head as the owner stood up and stared at the Pikachu. Flareon stared over to the window section, then back at Echo.
{Why would you want to buy a star necklace?} She asked. The owner went to the store window and stared at the collection carefully while Flareon talked to Echo.
{I want to give it as a gift to Muzét.} He responded with a smile. Flareon remained quiet as her owner returned back behind the counter and stared at the Pikachu.
"Is this what you wanted?" She held the star necklace in front of him and Echo held his paws out eagerly.
{Yes, please.} He said. Before Echo could grab it, Flareon smacked his paws away from the necklace and sighed.
{Hang on there buddy, we need you to hand over the cash.} She told him. He tilted his head softly and hummed.
{C...Cash?} He questioned quietly. She sighed softly and shook her head.
{No cash, no necklace.} She told him. Echo frowned sightly, holding his head softly.
{I didn't think about actually getting cash. I'm... wait.} He pondered for a bit, making the Flareon Tilt her head while Echo smiled. {I do have a way to pay. How much does it cost?} He asked.
{22,000 PokeCash.} She answered. Echo pondered for a bit and closed his eyes.
[Kirby has a ton of money in his PokeAccount... And I have been managing it with Eva... maybe they won't notice a thing.] He went to the account and type in Kirby's bank account quickly. He accepted the cost and the sale were made. Flareon stares at her trainer and gestures her to give him the necklace. Echo happily took it then bowed. {Thank you very much.}
{Never a problem, please come again.} Flareon responses and watch the Pikachu place the necklace in a bag then ran out of the store. {Never thought I'd see a Pikachu buy a gift for Queen Muzét. Hope she enjoys it if anything.} She whispered then went to her trainer, but going back into the back room to relax. Echo was running down the street, looking up at the empty trees.
{Where can I find berries?} He whispered to himself then spotted a tree full of Oran Berries. He dashed to the tree and climbed up it. He picked off a couple of berries then jumped back down, looking towards the park. {Okay, I'm coming back.} Echo placed the Oran Berries in the bag and dashed towards the park.
Above Sunset Island...
A dark particle sphere was heading towards the island, then stopped directly above it. It released a loud explosion, letting 9 large dark spheres spread apart and fall around the island.
Muzét...
She remained in the same place, quietly holding her ribbons together and looking out towards where Echo went. She closed her eyes and sighed quietly. {Where are you Echo?} She asked herself, not knowing the Dark Matter ball falling towards her.
Kiro's house...
Saix was silently meditating in the middle of his garden with Celsius by his side, enjoying the quiet peace around them. Before anything was said, Saix felt the dark presence enter his aura field and his eyes widen. He grabbed Glaceon tightly and dashed into the house, holding her close as he tilted his head up at the sky and felt a large energy sphere falling from it.
{Saix, is everything alright?} She asked. He just shook his heads
"Stay here Annie, we'll be back." Saix's ear twitches and heard Kiro and Axel come out of their rooms and staring outside carefully. He stared at Celsius and planted a kiss on her forehead.
{Stay inside, something is very wrong. We'll warn everyone on the island.} He warned and she gave a simple nod. She quickly went towards the room where Annie was while the other three remained, staring at the black sphere that fell from the sky.
"What is that thing?" Kiro asked himself, watching it staying still as the menacing aura grows. Axel stared at it carefully, feeling a dangerous aura from it.
{Whatever it is, doesn't seem like a good idea to touch it.} He answered. Saix remained quiet, feeling every 8 similar sphere form in the island. He growled quietly and walked up to Kiro.
{Kiro, we need to send a message to the humans with your aura.} He demanded.
"What kind of message? What's going on Saix?" He asked. Right when he asked that, he saw a Pikachu walking towards the black sphere curious. It reached in to touch it, only for the sphere to grab its arm and pull it in. Their eyes widen when they saw the sphere being absorbed by the Pikachu then witness the same dangerous aura surrounding it. The Pikachu looked up towards the group then dashed towards them with black electricity sparking off his cheeks.
{These black spheres are dangerous, but it's more dangerous to not let the others know about it. So send the message now!} He answered as the Pikachu for a dark electric fist and tried to slam it against Saix, only for Axel quickly formed a Bone Rush and slapped the Pikachu. Saix quickly powered up his aura while Kiro touched his back and closed his eyes. Kiro's Aura extended and reached inside of everyone's mind.
The entire island... Kiro's voice in everyone's mind...
Code Red! Code Red! Everyone, please stay inside and avoid any black spheres that fell out of the sky. Any contract with the said sphere will drive the Pokémon mad and will cause it to go on a rampage. Please stay inside, no matter what! We'll tell you when the crisis is over!
Echo...
He remained still for a minute, thinking about what Kiro said and bit his paw. [Dark spheres that fell from the sky?] He looked up for a bit then at his surrounding, noticing the empty street. {I should hurry back to Muzét and get her inside. I don't want anything to happen to her.} He told himself, holding the berries and necklace tightly then continued to run towards the park. Without noticing, three shadowed Eeveelutions were following Echo behind in secret.
Pikachu564: Done for now. Next Chapter will possibly be about Kirby entering the Tournament and round one of it. I will have to jump between Kirby and Echo if I want to post a chapter each two week. Unless you guys want them together, you can tell me and I will do my best to write both at the same time, but for now, I will have to do it this way. I'm off.
