Context: "Ninja Ninja Tactics" is Quest-style story posted by Viva01 on Questionable Questing, a NSFW story forum. My handle on that forum is Stormfury. Quests work through having readers post and vote on different presented decisions that effect the story, such as through decisions a character chooses, or loot that is found. There is also often a randomness factor using dice rolls to determine the results of character actions/fights/etc. NNT is a Quest that is based on an OC who is Kakashi's twin brother, and follows his escapades as he is growing up. This has greatly changed the timeline of Naruto, and is an extremely long read that is still on-going. Omake in Quests usually earn "points" that can be turned in to positively effect dice rolls for a single chapter, and I have written several for this Quest.

This Omake received Canon status in the quest. The chapter follows one of the many OCs in the quest, due to it starting when Kakashi/Karasu (the OC twin) were born, and only currently in story is around age 12-13ish... 743 threadmarked updates from the author later. Also, being a Quest on a NSFW forum means a lot of... "relationship building" occurs, and most girls Karasu's age are into him. Shibue is an OC Aburame who is by far Best Girl in the quest, and the Chuunin lead of Team Shibue, originally her genin cell, who is one of the girls closest to Karasu. Nemo is an OC Branch Hyuuga, Kaiya is an OC Uchiha, and Orihime is an OC Main Family Hyuuga. Doomsday and Shade are Chakra-enhanced (non-summon) spiders owned by Shibue and her mother Shibara, respectively. Shibue's relationship with her mom is also hilarious.

If you want to know why Shibue is best girl... this Omake captured her personality well enough to be considered Canon for a reason. As is the fact that all of my Omake for her have titles that are Bond movie references.

~Before Chapter 272 ~

"I'm starting to think there might be a spy in my camp."

Shibue took her role as team leader seriously. Team Shibue was very important to her, and she went to great lengths to ensure that she, Nemo, and Kaiya maintained optimal teamwork and efficiency.. However, it seemed that someone was working with the enemy, as her every plot and plan was foiled before it began. Such repeated failures were frustrating, especially as all of her failures could be blamed on one source.

Kaiya rolled here eyes, and piped up, "Why would you think that? I think you're just being paranoid, Bugsy!" At hearing the hated nickname, all of Shibue's hive began to hiss. Even the bugs that shouldn't be able to hiss. Especially the bugs that shouldn't be able to hiss.

Shibue's sunglasses gleamed, and from his place on her head, Doomsday folded two of his legs across his thorax. "Why? Because half of our plans," - "Your plans!" "OUR plans get interrupted by the enemy before they can properly begin. Also, as you should recall, it's Lady Doom Bug."

Nemo patted her shoulder in solidarity. "Well, half of your plans," "OUR PLANS!" "... our plans begin with ensuring the Aburame Hive Feeding mission is always on the top of the mission desk when Karasu's team goes there, and you do that by having your cousin who works at the mission desk place it there. Perhaps that's the leak?"

Shibue slowly nodded at that. Her butterflies began flying around above her head, shaping into a question mark. "Maybe... but I'm not sure about that. Why? That seem's too obvious. Still, it's the only lead so far. Regardless, its time to implement Mission Plan: Shade Distraction. You know what to do, girls."

As the team split apart, Shibue stared at the retreating back of Kaiya, noting the distinct smell of Aburame honey coming from one of her pouches. 'While Kaiya implements Shade Distraction, I have my own secret mission to perform. What is it called? Operation Cookie Traitor is a go."

And outside her own house, in broad daylight no less, Shibue got her proof.

"And so her next plan is called Operation Doom Blooms, and you won't believe whats gonna be "blooming" -"

Her teammate was betraying her for cookies. Cookies! She didn't even try to get anything better, but settled for homemade cookies. She should have traded her Uchiha in a while ago; clearly hers was defective. Maybe Yuri was available? Regardless, when presented with the evidence, now was the time to act. Her Kikaichu began to buzz, and Doomsday stood tensed on her shoulder, ready to pounce at a moments command.

"I knew it! You are supposed to be distracting her, and I find you here telling her our secrets! How did I guess? You became lazy about hiding my mother's cookies when coming to team meetings. Why would you do this to me? Also, you are forbidden from telling my mother anything about that plan!"

And her mother had the gall to stand there, giggling! Oh, she pretended as if she wasn't, but Shibue could tell. As if covering her face with her collar would hide the fact she was clearly shaking with repressed laughter.

Kaiya looked over at Shibara, and smirked. "What about Operation Cocoon Shedding?"

"Definitely not!" Shibue's face was definitely not starting to get red.

"Mission: Monarch Shibuefly?"

"He will call me Qu- I MEAN NO!" Shibue made a large X with her arms.

"Operation Honey Pot?" Shibue wasn't sure her face could get any redder. "Absolutely not! We are leaving now. Why? Because Kaiya is now banned from the Aburame clan grounds. Where are we going? To see if I can trade her in for a better Uchiha for my team." With that, she quickly began dragging Kaiya away, ignoring her mother and Kaiya cheerfully saying goodbye to each other.

That didn't stop her from throwing Doomsday at her mother as they left.

Sadly, the Uchiha clan elders would not meet with her. Mikoto nodded solemnly at hearing of Kaiya's defects, and promised she would work on fixing them. At least she is a kunoichi to be trusted.

"Operation: Cross Pollination meeting will commence. We have a replacement team member now. Why? Because Kaiya stabbed us in the back. Thank you for filling in at the last minute, Orihime."

Team Shibue-minus-Kaiya-but-plus-Orihime met at Team Shibue's normal location.

"Oh, its no problem! I feel like I miss out on a lot of gossip, and even though Nemo said they were boring and I shouldn't come when you grabbed me out of the street, I think I'll enjoy this!"

Shibue noticed that Nemo looked more antsy than usual. This was odd, because Nemo usually only looked that way in situations involving their Target. Suspicious...

Acting on her suspicions, Shibue decided a change in their usual schedule was called for. "Orihime, if you please, could you activate your Byakugan and tell us if my mother or any Aburame bugs are moving around the area? Normally Nemo does this, but you are here and can give her a break. I've pulled in my own. Be on the lookout for an especially large spider." Shibue placed herself so that she was not looking directly at Nemo, but could see her in the reflection of her sunglasses. And in sad vindication, she could see the tsundere waving her arms and shaking her head. Very suspicious!

'I see that we have Traitor number 2 in our midst.'

But Orihime, sweet stalkery Orihime, ignored Nemo. "Well, other than your bugs and your own large spider, there are Aburame bugs hiding over there, along with an even bigger spider, and I've only met her once or twice but I think that's -" Orihime managed to reveal enough of the truth before Nemo flying tackled her to stop her from talking. But it was enough; Shibue now had quite the clue what was going on. Another one of her team had gone rogue!

Shibue reached out and plucked a slightly different pouch hanging from Nemo's belt, the one with the seals on it that Nemo swore was only for stuff related to her research at the hospital. Too late for Nemo to stop, as she was now tangled up with Orihime, Shibue opened the pouch to reveal what she expecting to see - cookies.

Shibue growled. "Another traitor... Mother!" She sent her swarm where Orihime had pointed, despite knowing her mother had probably fled the scene already. Finding the scene empty, and with only the slightest of sign that anyone was here, she was not surprised she had not caught her mother spying before. Her bugs began flying agitatedly around her forehead, forming pulsing angry crosses. Shibue usually found it much easier than other Aburame to express emotion, but perhaps that was just her being more creative with her swarm.

"What on earth is going on? Nemo, why did you do that?" Orihime, at least, seemed innocent - for now she was a reliable ally, but who knows how long this will last.

These cookies... they were good.

"Nemo. I am very disappointed in you. Why? Because you have already succeeded in your mission, but could not help me with mine. While you did not end up following Operation Dog Tamer to the letter -" "Shibue, please stop calling it that!" "- I did my best to help you. Reason, because you are my friend. But its clear, now, that my mother is too strong a foe for any of you to resist. I must go it... alone."

Shibue marched off, leaving behind the two Hyuuga girls. Nemo looked a bit guilty, at least. "Wait, Nemo, whats this about an 'Operation: Dog Tamer'? Have you been holding out on me?" Nemo looked significantly less guilty after that.

Later that evening, at home, Shibue confronted her mother.

"Mother. You will not stop me. I will confess to Karasu, regardless of your parental interference. Why? Because not only would he be good for the clan, he would be good for me."

"Daughter. It is a mother's prerogative to ensure her daughter does not do anything foolish. Also? This is incredibly amusing for me."

"I will succeed! Also, please, next time save some cookies for me. Why? Because I find I cannot blame Kaiya and Nemo that much, your cookies are... really good." Shibue's head fell a little at that, bug's buzzing sadly around her. Doomsday, from his perch on Shibue's head, also visibly drooped. 'Is this what they call a total defeat?'

Shibara smiled fondly at that. "Oh, I think I have a better idea. What you ask? We will bake more cookies, and I will teach you how to make them."

Shibue perked up. 'Oh, this might put Operation: Royal Jelly back on as a viable plan!'
