Hey guys! I've been absent from fanfiction for a long time but there's plenty of reasons as to why I haven't been on here much in the last year or so! To start with, my grandma died last August and I was struggling a lot with her passing and just didn't have a lot of motivation to write or do things as a result. Thankfully I'm doing a bit better now and am ready to revamp some old characters and start some serious fanfics! Although that led to yet another problem as a month or so after my grandma passed my laptop got broken and I was without one for the entire time I was gone from the sight. For the one fic I was writing in that time period I had to use my phone and that was a nightmare that I lost motivation for quick! BUT now I have a new computer to write on and I'm ready to do so!
That leads me into the next thing I want to talk about! What story I want to revamp and bring back1 Now, a few years back I had a story that was called, Clash of tempers and the forming of an irreversible bond. It featured my techno organic Lilah and her journey with finding acceptance among the autoboots, as well as her coming to terms with who she was as a person! I want to revamp this character and story and bring it back from the dead so to speak! I already know some of what I want to do with this fic, but the issue is that I've come to an impasse in terms of how I want to write it!
Possible spoilers ahead, read at your own risk!
Now the first idea I had was allowing the story to unfold similarly to how it originally did, only with the updated lore and details! Originally Lilah became a full cybertronian and I still want that outcome to play out! But my question is... do you guys think it would be more interesting to play it out this way? Watching Lilah struggle and succumb to her spark which isn't truly compatible with her body, while forming bonds with those that watch her slowly wither away?
Or! Do you think that letting her become a bot before the start of the story would be a better route to take? I was thinking that if I chose this path she would still come to discover her past and realize what she once was, and potentially struggle with that!
All in all I'm not sure what path to take as both really resonate with me currently! I'm also not sure whether I want to do a canon x OC ship for her (That being with the twins possibly or some other bot). What do you guys think? OC x Canon or OC x OC? I'm really open to any suggestions or opinions! Please comment and let me know!
I also want a bot to be her literal creator but I'm not sure who! So I want to erect a pole for that so you guys can vote on it!
