Ok guys, I am actually trying to begin the rewrite on Shrouded Origins at the moment... BUT I've been having some issues with it. First off when I started writing SO way back when it even had a different title, I didn't know as much about transformers as I do now. So I had ideas and concepts that now make no sense to me. Like how could Clare actually survive on earth for 16 years while being actively functioning? Without energon? I have serious reservations about this and I'm not sure I can work in a method to get around this anymore. I still do want her to know nothing about her past, and even maybe suffer from memory loss since it makes her more spontaneous and interesting! But my main issue is how to do that? How do I make the story make sense without taking away from the logic of the universe?
Well one idea that a friend mentioned to me was having her crash on earth after the events of the first movie. When I think about it I could make this work? Maybe I could make it to where she was damaged in said crash and scanned Sam or Mikeala so she could still have a human alt mode for a while? I still want her to be the same loud, opinionated, goofy Clare who never runs or backs down. She still needs to seem like herself but I really liked the dynamic of her having to learn what she is and who she should be over the course of the story. And of course I want her origins to take time to come to the surface, while also giving her actual relevance to the story line.
Now I do have concepts for that so don't worry! It's just a matter of actually breaking the ice! But I desperately need some opinions on what I should do! Anything to help get me thinking would be appreciated! Comment or DM me please!
