Chapter 16: The Receptions Great
Cody, Justin, Harper, Arwin, and Moseby had arrived in Kansas so Cody went to find Bailey's home he had visited years ago, hoping she'd have come home to her family, he took Arwin with him "ok I'll knock on the door and see if they have a chair for you"
"Thanks man, go get 'er" he gave a thumbs up
Bailey's old boyfriend Moose answered the door "not you again" they both said at once.
"Moose who's at the door" Bailey came to the entrance surprised
"Hey, do you have a wheelchair? Arwin needs one" asked Cody shyly
"Lemme see" they went inside "where's Zack?"
"Can't tell ya even if I knew" Cody thought back to his conversation with his twin before they separated. He believes the powers that he and Zack had received from the twin research. They were in the process of learning how to communicate telepathically, so far Zack had just been sending burps.
Bailey returned with a wheelchair which Cody graciously took and loaded Arwin into and wheeled him in "finally, I might need to modify this, but let's see that laptop you have. Ma'am do you have an electrical outlet?" He asked Bailey's mom.
"Of course dear, I'll just plug that into the generator, Moose?" Bailey's mother turned to Moose who proceeded to plug it in and got on an exercise bike which he peddled on until everything turned on and kept going.
Bailey's father sat in a chair and watched
Cody watched as Arwin checked the web looking for keywords on the Internet, " " he said "this should be interesting"
Freddy was sitting in the back of the van with Milton, Jerry, and Raven. Carly turned around from the middle with Jack and Kim, Rudy and T-Bo were in the front "Freddie, what have you been doing all these hours on that computer?" She asked
Freddie looked up, "I hacked a Russian satellite so I always have 4g on my laptop. It's taken two days but I hacked and made it a site for stopping these masks" he looked at the screen surprised, "and it looks like someone wants to chat..."
Cody's laptop opened to a video call, he saw someone that looked a lot like one of his old friends at the Tipton with ginger and Latino teens and... "Raven?!"
"Oh my god!, hey Zack" she answered
Cody resisted rolling his eyes "uh it's Cody actually, what are you doing there?"
"I never told you I'm a psychic, I knew I had to be here" she turned to Freddie, "I'm sure you got something planned?"
"Oh yeah, how many of you are there?" Freddie answered
"Here there's 6, there's 3 others nearby and we've got 3 undercover" he answered, he knew he could trust Raven.
"Cool there's 9 of us here, do you have weapons?"
"We've got a bag full" Cody replied
"Do you have a plan to take back the country?"
"Not really, we're not an army" Cody said glumly "wait, my friend has something that he said would help, I don't know what it is"
Freddie began typing frequently, "they're trying to intercept us, I'll have to code it more, I'll call later" and the call ended.
Bailey gave Cody the phone, "this is for you"
Cody grabbed the corded phone "hey it's Harper, Justin and Moseby got drunk and we're gonna need you to pick us up in the rental before they get away from me?"
Cody sighed "ya I'll be there in a second"
