It was gloomy outside for such a memorable day. Dark clouds were rolling in, bringing a light sprinkle with them and blocking the sun, keeping the heat at bay. Spencer and Remy were on their way home from the doctor's office. Finding out Spencer was pregnant after going in for what they thought to be cold or flu had been a shock but the two couldn't be more happy. Even has darker thoughts tried to stir up in Spencer's mind, he pushed them back. He would worry about them later. Today was a day for celebrating the news, not brooding over things that would possibly be.

Remy was still smiling, even long after the news first hit his ears and now as the rain picked up, making him turn on the windshield wipers. Reaching over, he took Spencer's hand in his, pressing a kiss on pale knuckles. In response, Spencer's cheeks flushed making Remy chuckle. "Y' so cute, Penny. Y' know dat?" He said, fingers brushing over the pink cheeks.

"Y' hungry?" He asked then, getting a nod in response. "Very." Spencer admitted. To be honest he was feeling a bit like he hadn't eaten a single thing today but Remy had been sure to make him a good breakfast this morning before their appointment. It had to have been the baby. That was the only explanation. He rubbed his belly, looking down and smiling. The baby. Their baby. A new life they had created together was growing inside of him right now.

Remy turned in at Denny's. It was one of Spencer's favorite places to eat and while the other was carrying his child he would spoil him endlessly. Not that he didn't already spoil his Penny. Spencer often felt Remy did just too much for him but Spencer was grateful all the same. Smiling, Remy got out of the car and opened Spencer's door for him. "Well, thank you, Mr LeBeau." Spencer grinned, taking the hand offered to him and getting out of the car.

The two walked into the restaurant hand in hand, Remy holding the door open and letting Spencer go in ahead of him. They got themselves a table and sat down, looking over the menu. "What can we get you boys to drink?"

"I'll take a coffee, please." Spencer smiled at her and then as an afterthought he added dully. "Decaf.." He groaned. He gave a dirty look to Remy. The man was chuckling at him. "Would like coffee t', me. Non decaf." He winked and smirked at Spencer's gaping face. "You're cruel, Remy LeBeau." He pouted.

Chuckling, Remy continued to scan the menu, unsure what he wanted to eat. He sat back when the waitress brought the coffee. "Merci." He smiled, smirking when she turned pink. "A-are you ready to order?" She stammered. Remy had the nerve to lean in and put his chin on his hand as he talked to the waitress. He was doing this to tease Spencer because it amused him to no end how jealous his little Penny got and yet he did nothing when Remy would openly flirt. "Non, Merci, Cher. Need a fo' mo' minutes." Then for Spencer's sake and to save the woman from feeling led on, he added. "M' husband an' I aren't real sure what we want just yet."

Spencer's cheeks became impossibly red. Remy had called him his husband?! Remy hadn't even proposed yet! Did this mean..? Was Remy planning to ask him to marry him and if so then when? Did Spencer want a wedding? Did he want to get married? It hadn't exactly worked out well for his parents. Looking up finally, he noticed the waitress had left. He gave Remy a look. "You're such a tease, Remy." He said.

Remy pushed his cup to Spencer. "Just de right amount o' sugar. Remy will let y' have a few sips. Know dat y' gon' have a hard time caffeine deprived." He said, chuckling at Spencer's expression. He was surprised the other seemed to be teary eyed. "You're amazing, Remy." He took the cup, letting out a content sigh as he took his sip. It was mud basically. Not the best coffee he had ever had but it was heavenly. For the next so many months he wouldn't have the chance to enjoy his overly sweet beverage very often so now he was savoring it.

They spent a bit longer going over the menu and finally placed their orders. Remy was leaning across the table and looking Spencer in the eyes as he spoke. "Penny, should talk about de next move.. what are y' going t' do wit' work an' de baby?"

Spencer sighed, placing his cup back down on the table and looking out the window. He watched the people outside, bustling about to get under cover away from the rain or just splashing through it without a care. He smiled at a little boy, jumping into a puddle, his mother berating him. "I guess.." He started. "It's time I finally take you up on that offer and move to the school with you." He said.

Remy sat back, looking stunned at first but he smiled, nodding his head. "Oui, Penny. Remy likes de sound o' dat." He had been trying to get Spencer to move in with him for a couple of months now and teach at the institute but Spencer just didn't want to leave his job behind. Remy understood, of course. Spencer worked hard to get where he was in that job. It wasn't easy to hide your mutation and get yourself into the FBI and his team was his family. Remy got that, too. The x men were his family.

First things first, though. They had to tell Spencer's team. They would surely want to know but Spencer wasn't exactly sure he was ready to tell them. He thought maybe it be best if he wait until he reached the second trimester. The first trimester was the most critical. The chance of miscarrying much higher. His fidgeting caught Remy's attention. "Somethin' goin' on in dat big brain o' y'rs, Penny?"

Turning his gaze up to look at Remy, Spencer sighed, nodding his head. "I'm not sure if I want to tell the team just yet.."

"Y' worried about losing it?" Remy asked. A nod was his answer.

"We can wait. Remy can start gettin' y'r stuffed packed an' moved next month. Dat should be plenty o' time." Remy said and Spencer nodded with a smile.

He was just going to say more when his work cell phone dinged with a message. He sighed. Surely he wasn't being called in. Checking the phone he gave a sigh and drooped. Indeed. He had to go in.

Remy frowned. "Not sure how Remy feels about y' bein' in de field right now, Penny." He always worried for Spencer on jobs. That wasn't new but now there were two to think about. He didn't like the idea that their unborn child would be at risk if Spencer was injured.

"You know I have to go." Spencer told him. He slid out from the booth and kissed Remy. "I'll be careful." He said. "Stay at the station." He tacked the last bit on for Remy's benefit. The Cajun sighed. "Well.. let Remy drop y' off." He stood and paid for their coffee before heading out. He would take Spencer through a drive thru. He was not letting his lover go to work hungry.

Spencer smiled at Remy from the passenger side after they pulled away from Taco Bell shortly after leaving Denny's. "You spoil me too much, I think."

Remy grinned his way. "Is dat even a thing?" He teased. "T'ink Remy spoil y' just de right amount, Penny."

Spencer chuckled. "Start with my books." He told Remy. "Pack those while I'm away." It seemed so surreal. Having a baby and moving to New York of all places. He stared out the window as Remy drove him to his office. Remy didn't go into the garage, he didn't go right up to the building either. He parked across the way and let Spencer get out. The last thing Spencer needed was to be seen going into an FBI building with a mutant.

Spencer kissed Remy through the driver window and then turned, heading inside, grateful that Remy had thought to grab an umbrella for the day before they had left. Inside, he made his way to the debriefing room with his food. "Sorry, guys. We were out for lunch. I haven't had the chance to eat yet." He told the team.

Hotch nodded. "You can eat on the jet. For now." He turned to JJ and gestured for her to begin.

Remy sighed as he pulled away. It always scared him when Spencer had to go out into the field. Would he be hurt? Would he be found out? So many things popped into his head. So many bad scenarios. He shook his head to clear his mind. Spencer had given him a task and he would do it.

At the apartment, he dropped his own food on the table in the kitchen and sat down to eat as he planned. The books would take up the most boxes. Spencer had a ton of them and Remy would need to make sure the box was secured and strong enough to handle the weight of so many massive books.

He would also need help packing the place. This wasn't a job for him by himself. Oh he had plenty of time. A month in fact but he would feel better if he got as much done as he could. Taking out his cell he dialed. He chuckled at the answering grunt from the other side of the line. "Bonjour, Wolvie. How would you feel about comin' t' Virginia an' givin' Remy a hand?"

"Depends, Gumbo. What do ya need?" Logan asked.

Remy grinned. "Penny agreed t' make de move."

"No shit?" Logan responded with a gruff chuckle. "What made the pup change his mind?"

Remy paused. He hadn't thought about what to tell Logan. Never thought the other would ask. He could trust the other though. He was his best friend. Remy smiled. "Gon' be a Papa, me. Spencer is pregnant."

"You're shitting me?" Remy could hear the surprise in Logan's tone of voice. The other had not expected that. He chuckled at Logan's shock. "Well, I'll be damned. Congratulations, Cajun. I'm on my way."

"Merci, Wolvie." Remy smiled. "See y' soon." They hung up and Remy sat back in his chair with a sigh. The next few days would be stressful for both him and Spencer.
