Captain Jack Harkness
Jack gasped as death was once again pulled from him, he let out a choked sob as he thought of his beautiful Welshman that he wouldn't ever hold again. He had tried his hardest to hold himself back, treating him cruelly at times, flirting with Gwen knowing she was infatuated with him, right in front of Ianto knowing he wouldn't say anything.
Bad Wolf nearly broke as she felt the consequence of her actions from the first time around. She could feel the pain and grief radiating from her Captain, her voice was unbearably gently as she spoke, "Hello, my Captain."
Jack started as he heard Rose's voice invade his mind, he barely noticed the ethereal quality, "Oh, that's just wonderful…" He snarked, standing as he snarled, "Whatever you are, I'll give you one chance to leave my mind, one chance to stop using her voice… After that," He smirked nastily, "Well, you're in my head, I'm sure you can imagine."
"Oh, my lonely, immortal Captain," She continued sadly, ignoring his threat, "I am the Bad Wolf, look through your memories, you will see, I brought Rose back to the moment she first met our Doctor, and now I have brought our Captain back to the moment we made you immortal."
Jack nearly cried as he looked back, different memories invading his mind, his voice broken as he asked, "Why?"
She laughed, "Because, we love you, our Captain, almost as much as we love our Doctor."
"Why this moment?"
"Because this is the first and last time, I came into contact with you."
"And Rose?"
"She desired more time with her first Doctor."
"She started a relationship with him, that's good, the sexual tension between them was unbearable," He grinned, remembering teasing her about it, "When did you send her back?"
"After the battle of Canary Warf."
"Why then?" Jack asked curiously, "Why not when the Doctor left her with his 'twin' in the parallel world?"
"Because…" Bad Wolf paused, "She may have been tempted to stop him regenerating, but eventually my power would have killed her. She needed the Doctor to take it from her, and this was the only way she could keep her promise of forever." Jack could hear the smile in her voice as she added, "Don't worry, dear Captain, you will not be alone this time… Rose bound herself to the Tardis both this time and the last. She will live for as long as the Tardis does, unageing and frozen."
Jack was torn, on the one hand he was ecstatic, he wouldn't be alone with his Rosie joining him in immortality, but on the other, "What happens if she gets stuck in the parallel world?"
"Ideally, that will not happen." Her voice was firm before it softened again, "I also have a gift for you, my Captain, the minute you kiss your Welshman, his life will be bound to yours. He will live for as long as you do." She smiled as she felt his conflict, "The minute your lips touch, his memories will come to him, don't worry dear Jack, I told you, you will NOT be alone. Not this time." He could feel tears running down his cheeks as he took in her words, she wrapped around his mind in a mental hug, "You have a while to go yet but-"
"Worth the wait." Jack laughed thickly, barely believing what was happening, "Will you visit me, Rosie?"
Bad Wolf chuckled her voice regaining her London accent, "You have my number, call whenever, though, I can't visit until after Canary Warf."
"As long as I can hear you voice, Rosie."
She giggled at the playful flirtation; Jack smiled happily as he felt her fade from his mind. He could hear the Tardis leaving in the distance but unlike last time he just let it go. There was no panic, no feeling of abandonment, though he was still angry at the Doctor for just leaving him stranded, Rosie had given him the best gift in the world, he grinned to himself, 'Might as well get the 1800's over and done with and then… Ianto and Torchwood'.
