Summary: When Brain decides that the kids are of age to know where babies come from, when one of the young children pops the question, "Where do babies come from?"
Note: If you are under age 13, I wouldn't read this…
Brain sighed, getting up with a groan as he glanced at his 'children'. A small smile came across his face as he watched them doing their many activities. Macbeth was sleeping, curled up in a blanket, Erik was playing with Cubelios, Sawyer was racing Sorano.
All was peaceful, quiet, and Brain was just about ready to close his eyes and maybe take a 10-15 minutes nap. He had recently taken in the children, and it had been months before they younglings started talking.
For a moment, everything was perfect.
Up until someone popped the question…
"Where do babies come from?" Sawyer asked, his voice echoing. Brain's eyes shot open, his face growing pale as his hands shook, those words echoing in his head as he was trying to process what he just heard, and what had come out of the young child's mouth.
Macbeth's eyes blinked open as he yawned, doing an adorable stretch that made Brain want to cuddle with the kid. "We're all angels that got sent down from heaven and picked a family, Racer," he said blankly, rubbing his sleepy eyes as he rested his head on the cold floor, his eyes slowly closing again.
Sorano frowned. She liked that idea a lot better then what her parents had told her. Sadly, she won't be able to hear their soft words again. "Really?" she asked, her voice filled with doubt. "My parents use to tell me that we came from cabbages." She snorted at that.
Erik wrinkled his nose as he stopped doing whatever he was doing. "Are you serious? We came from Babies R Us." Erik resumed to the 'task' he was doing, not paying any attention to anyone around him as everyone in the room stared at him.
Brain's soul slowly left his body as he was trying to come up with a way on how to tell these children on where they actually came from. Maybe he didn't have to tell them. Maybe, the could stay with innocent minds forever.
Brain was dragged out of his train of thoughts as Sawyer spoke up. "There is more than one way?" he asked, trying to add up on what information seemed to be more logical. At this rate, he was leaning more toward the Babies R Us one.
It seemed more believable!
Erik crossed his arms, a sly smirk on his face. "Bet ya Brain knows where they come from. Tell us, which one was right."
Brain blinked, he then cringed seeing all the younglings wide eyes staring up at him, eagerness and questioning written all over their face as they looked up at their 'elder'.
He facepalmed, so not wanting to tell them what they needed to know. Why? Why did they have to ask such a simple yet deadly question? "Okay, come with me," he ordered reluctantly, his 'children' obeying him as they followed their master into a certain unknown room.
The lights turned on as Brain got out a book, his face had regret written all over it. He never knew he had to give them the talk. At the moment, he wanted to smack himself for getting such innocent and adorable kids that had the puppy dog eyes on their side. He sighed and then blankly said, "All of what you guys have been told…. was a lie…"
The kids eyes nearly popped out of their heads. They looked like the world around them suddenly came to a stop. "WHAT?!" they all screamed, their voices echoing in the small, dark, room.
"Do you wanna know where children actually come from?" he asked, taking in a deep breath. Right now, he wanted one of them to say 'no', so that he didn't have to tell them this until they were at least a tad bit older.
"YES!"
Why?
Time Skip~
Macbeth was passed out, Sawyer was puking his guts out, Sorano was crying, yelling about how she was never having kids, and Erik was covering his ears as Cubelios tried to comfort her friend.
The worst thing was that all the kids may need therapy after they got out of their shock mode.
Brain did not wanna pay for therapy.
Richard suddenly walked through the door, seeing all the chaos that erupted, he groaned, not wanting to ask, but yet at the same time, wanted to know what happened to where the younger mage's had such a shocking reaction? "What happened?" he asked, looking at Brain with a small frown.
Brain shrugged. "I told them where babies came from."
