Jay x Reader

"Ahhhh what a peaceful day!" Jay yelled. (Pretend Nya and Jay aren't lovers...or...that Jay doesn't love Nya anymore...)

"Yeahh...I love it!" You cheered while running up beside him. You and all the ninja had headed to the park for a relaxing day before back to work. Kai, Zane, Lloyd, and Cole had mentioned something about a catapult? That..kind of worried you on their latest experiment, but shrugged it off. What harm could a little catapult do? Boy, you had a surprise coming for you! But that's for later.

"Hey! Y/n! Let's go exploring and try to make something!" Jay threw his fist in the air. You grinned widely. Jay was very surprising to you today. He actually TURNED DOWN creating something! He loves building stuff...but he turned it down for you. How sweet! You guys wondered through the open fields of uncut grass and weeds. "Y/n! I found something!" Jay triumphantly called while motioning for you to come over.

"What is it?" You replied, quickly running over.

"It's quartz! Isn't it beautiful?" Jay said in awe, "just like you.." He mumbled out the last part, then quickly realized and shut his mouth with a hint of pink on his cheeks.

"What was that?" You asked, very 'clueless'.

"Nothing! Just that the quartz is a beautiful blue!" Jay panicked. A second later he was looking through the dirt for something, somewhere else. You gave him a questioning look, but he did not notice. For he was too busy in uncovering whatever the thing he found now is. While waiting for him, you
sat down in the grass and leaned back. You hadn't exactly told Jay how you felt yet. Nya keeps pushing you to do it. 'Just be straight forward!' 'Be yourself' 'I'm sure he loves you back!' She would encourage, but you never actually got the courage to tell him. He seemed to..well...have a thing
for Nya..but then again, it's probably just your imagination. Actually, he seemed even MORE interested in inventing things.
'This grass feels really nice,' You thought while rolling around in it. Jay still hadn't called for you yet, and you were becoming quite bored. Every time you tried to go over, he would say, not yet! Wait until I call you! You sighed, maybe he really DOESN'T want me...

Just as you were about to give up, you finally heard his call.

"Coming!" You sprinted over to his side, stumbling a couple times through thick bushes and weeds.

"Y/n L/n...will you be my girlfriend?" He asked, and held out a silver ring to you. The ring was made out of some silver wire, while in the middle, it was holding a (somehow) neatly cut blue piece of quartz. Your dream came true!

"Yes! I'd love to be Jay!" You happily hugged him and accepted the ring. You'd would keep this forever safe.

"HEADS UP!" Suddenly a watermelon came flying out of nowhere, hitting your new boyfriend on the back of his head.

"Jay!" You screamed and quickly bent down to his crumpled form. He mumbled something incoherent, then passed out cold. You looked back up to the ninja who were sheepishly grinning as you stormed your way to them. All while dragging Jay's unconscious body.

"You idiots! WHY ARE YOU FLINGING WATERMELONS HALFWAY ACROSS THE WORLD!?" You angrily shouted, "Now help me get him to a doctor." you grumbled as they all mumbled apologies. After a long hike to a doctor, you finally reached one.

"Well everyone, your friend will be okay, he has a small concussion, and I know you guys train and fight, but at least give him two weeks or so. Don't want to cause anymore problems...by the way...what exactly happened?" The doctor asked, curiosity in his voice.

"Well...um..we were building a catapult to launch water melons. As you can see it backfired. We launched it, and had no control over the aim, and it hit Jay right on the back of his head." Kai explained with a blush. You just grumbled how stupid that was. The doctor made a quiet ah, and dismissed you guys.

"Jay...Jayyy...wake up?" You prodded his side.

"Ughh...wha..what happened? Ah! Why does my head feel like it's being pounded by a mallet?" Jay groaned, and tried to sit up, but fell back down.

"D-don't sit up yet! You got hit with a watermelon in the back of your head..." You explained the whole thing to him, and he turned back to glare at his fellow teammates.

"Hey guys..next time tell me what your building so this doesn't happen again!" Jay complained," what was Zane doing? Shouldn't he have gotten the landing calculations right?"

"I was releasing butterflies from my stomach." Zane simply replied as if it were completely normal. Jay shook his head annoyed.

"Aww..don't worry Jay..just two weeks and you'll be all good!" You said. Jay groaned even more at this.

"I'm guessing that means no training then..right?" He asked with little hope in his tone. You nodded.

"Well...at least we get more time together!" You tried cheering him up,"since I'm..not a ninja!"

"Yeah!" Jay then smiled, then motioned for you to come closer, and smashed his lips to yours. Your eyes widened, surprised at this action, but soon kissed him back.

"I've been wanting to do that for so long..." Jay breathed.

"Me too.." Then you guys went back to kissing again.

"Hey get a room!" Kai yelled, interrupting you two. You turned around angrily and punched him in the gut. You may not be a ninja, but you had mad martial art skills.

"Heehee! I love you Jay!"
