A couple of month has passed. It was now the trial period for S-Class test. Everyone in Fairy Tail seemed more busier than usual. Everyone except Lucy , who was concentrated on the door as if she was waiting for someone to come in.

Mira and Levy viewed their friend from far away, worried aboht her. Although she seemed the same as when they first met her. Something was different about her, she seemed sad. Although she wore her smile was real, it was not the same as when they had just met her. It seemed more dull. The spark in her eyes was gone. She rarely went to jobs after coming back from Edolas. Almost everyone in the guild noticed her change. No one knew what was wrong with her, except for Natsu. Natsu stared at the job board looking for a new job.

A couple of minutes later Gray walked next to Natsu . "Well shes at it again " Gray stated as he stared at the job board as well looking for a new job. Natsu broke his concentration from the job board and looked at the bar where Lucy was at and sighed. " She still has hope..." he mumbled to himself starting to look for job request for 2 people. Gray looked at Natsu raising an eyebrow. " do you know why shes like that? " he asked curiously Natsu shaked his head. " No clue."

Lisanna looked at Natsu searching for a new job and saw he was looking at the 2 people section. She quickly went to sit by the bar next to Lucy. She looked at the "new comer " and decided to make conversation.

"Hello , Lucy right?"She asked curiously with a smile.

Lucy looked at Lisanna and smiled . " Yea and youre Lisanna right? Mira's little sister ." She asked.

Lisanna smiled. " yea . I dont mean to intrude , but are you waiting for someone? " she asked curiously noticing her looking out the door.

Lucy's smile weaken and shaked her head. "No, no one." She stated a little sadden having to face reality.

Natsu noticing them talking he smiled and picked a job. " This shall be a perfect distraction and good pay as well" he grinned and started to walk towards the noticing Natsu started to blush and started to get a little nervous ,Lucy noticing her sudden change turned to look a little to where she had looked and giggled. " Are you okay ?" Lucy asked looking at her. Lissana nodded . "Yea , just fine."

"Yo" said Natsu towards then girls as he walked closer to them.

"Hey" Lucy said before taking a drink from her kind of melted strawberry milkshake waving a little.

"Hi Natsu" Lisanna said blushing a little. Natsu looked at Lisanna and smiled a toothy goofy grin. Lucy remembering the times Natsu called for her in his sleep and the way Lisanna was acting, she decided to go back home.

" Well I shall get going " she said getting up and starting to walk out.

Natsu quickly grabbed Lucy wrist. " wait Luce " he said looking at her.

Lisanna looked at Natsu her eyes looked confused a litttle for his sudden reaction

. Lucy quickly looked at Natsu. " yes , what's up?"

Natsu held the request up and looked at her " I want you to come with me to this job!"

She looked at him and shaked her head. " Thanks but no thanks Natsu , I'm not really in the mood to go on a job..."

Natsu looked at her and sighed putting the job in his pocket. "Fine but if you change your mind , let me know." he said as he started to walk away. Starting to head for her house, since he was not going to be able to convince her there with out people looking at them. Knowing he wants her feelings for Laxus to be hidden from the guild. "See you later Lisanna" he said as he waved and walked out the guild.

Lucy did the same after him after remembering to pay for her shake "bye , nice talking to you "she said as she walked out the door.

Lisanna waved and forcing a smile, after both left her smile faded. Her heart felt broken.

- Lisanna P.O.V -

Why Natsu..." I though in my head as I saw them both leave at the same time heading the same direction. " I thought you were going to ask me ... Its been such a long time..." . "I guess you found someone else ..." I said starting to feel a small tear rolling down my face "Im glad you are happy atleast.. "I said while looking out the door watching them disappear in the distance. I quickly shaked my head, " wait ... its not over yet... i can get him back , i just need to convince him to take me instead" I said as i started to run out the door as well heading towards my house. -

-Normal. P.O.V-

Mean while at Lucy house

Natsu sat on her bed and waited for her. She walked in through the already fix door. She headed to her living room. The first thing seeing was the whole in the wall.

"Yo lucy " Natsu said when he saw her walk in.

"After all this time you can't use a door can you ?" she said looking at him sweat dropping.

Natsu looked at her changing the subject ignoring her question. " Im not taking no as an answer for the job."

Lucy looked at him " Natsu I said I dont feelnlike going on a job. " she said as she letted her hair down.

"Luce i know you're said , but its been a while since you last went to a job . You need to pay your rent , im sure you dont have that much left... " he said .

Lucy lookd at him knowing he was right. "fine ..."

Natsu smiled ."Great we leave tomorrow morning !" he said with a cheery mood . " Goodnight luce ! " he said laying down on her bed

Lucy sweat dropped" you have to be kidding get out !" she said looking at him ready to lucy kick him off the bed , suddenly he grabbed her wrist and laid her next to him pulling her close. " Try to relax Lucy... I know you havent been sleeping in weeks..," he mumbled. Lucy looked at him blushing, lowering her eyelids a little. "..." . " I know you miss him... But beating yourself up by not sleeping and not working is not going to bring him back.. " he said looking at her. A tear rolled down on her face and nodded. "Try to sleep now okay ?" he said holding her close. Lucy nodded closing her eyes starting to fall sleep. Natsu looked at her a little sadden moving her hair from her face eventually falling asleep a little after. -

-The next morning -

Lisanna arrived early to the guild hall hoping to find Natsu to offer to go with him.

" Hey lisanna why so early?" Erza asked as she started to head out on a new quick job.

"Oh erza ! nothing just here, say have you seen Natsu?" she asked curiously looking around.

"Yea actually , he was heading in a job when I came in" she said looking up.

Lisanna smiled " do you know if he was going alone ?"

Erza shaked her head "not sure but he did leave rather quickly, ask Mira she might have more information"

Lisanna nodded. "thanks Erza" she said running towards her sister "Mira-nee " she called out.

Erza nodded her head and kept heading out.

Mira looked at her sister "whats the matter Lisanna ?" she asked a little worried at her sudden rush.

"What job did Natsu went on ?" she asked curiously .

Mira picked up the paper work and looked for Natsu, it being the first one of the day " ummm the capture some bandits that are scaring towns people in clover town " she stated while looking at the paper.

Lisanna looked at her sister " alright thanks!" she started to run out the door.

Mira looked Lisanna " wait Lisanna , where are you going ? that's a 2 people job."

Lisanna stopped . " he went on his own didnt he... " she asked frozen feeling her heart racing hoping that she said no or at least that someone else went with him, other than Lucy.

"Nope, he went with Lucy." Mira said with a smile " he said that she needed a distraction so he took her "

Lisanna forced a smile " oh right... I forgot he asked her yesterday... She did seem like she needed it .. Thanks for the information Mira-nee" she walked out quickly trying to hold her tears back.

"Wait Lisanna" Mira said putting the paper down starting to walk out the bar , but it was too late Lisanna had left by the time she reached the outside of the bar. Mira looked at her a little worried having a feeling what bothering and she sighed . She walked in back to behind the bar and started to clean the mugs.

- -Mean while-

Lucy sat on the train looking out the window with Natsu's head on her lap. He was taking a nap to fight his motion sickness. Happy slept ontop on Natsu head. "Laxus... Where are you...?" she asked a litrle sadden looking up im the sky wearing Laxus jacket hugging it.

-Some where else-

Somewhere on the dessert Laxus sat on the shade resting looking up. "Lucy... I wonder what youre doing now ." He quickly looked for a ring he had seen on a random shop in the town he had just left. As soon he had found it he looked at it and thought of an idea. " Maybe it will work.." he said as he closed his hand and released a little "Here goes nothing…" he stated as he used his magic to transport the ring to his old jacket that he had gave her. " "Hopefully it reaches you and protects you" he mumbled getting up and started to walk again. "

I miss you... "both said looking up at the sky.
