I never meant to take this long to update but anyway, here's another chapter. Hopefully you're still somewhat interested in the story.

Chapter 59: Back to work

Santana's POV

Brittany goes back to work next week so we thought that this week we could go away for a few days with the children. We're not going too far away, just far enough for it to feel like a little vacation. We're driving to a little cabin that sits right on a lake that my parents like going to and we're staying for a few nights. We're driving there today and then will return home on Monday. Aiden and Ella seem really excited about it which is good and I can't deny it, I'm a little excited myself to get a few days away with just Brittany and the children.

"Babe, do you want another cup of coffee before we go?" Brittany asks me as she walks out of the kitchen carrying a grocery bag full of groceries. We figured we would take some supplies with us instead of rushing around going to a grocery store when we arrive at the cabin.

"I better not" I shake my head. "I love coffee but it's a long road trip ahead of us and you know what caffeine can do to me sometimes so I don't want us to have to stop every half an hour for me to pee."

"That's more than I needed to know honey. A simple no would suffice" Brittany says smirking at me. "Your bathroom habits aren't particularly interesting to me anyway" she shrugs.

"Someone is in a good mood this morning considering they were up most of the night with Josh" I point out. He would not stop crying and Brittany being as amazing as she is, insisted that I go back to sleep because he didn't need the two of us to be awake so she stayed up all night with him.

"I'm looking forward to our mini vacation" Brittany smiles at me.

"Aren't you a little tired though?" I query.

"Not right now but I'll probably fall asleep relatively quickly tonight" she replies.

"So, are we just about ready to go then?" I ask.

"If you don't want another coffee then we might as well pack the car and just set off" she tells me. The kids have all eaten breakfast so I don't suppose there is anything stopping us from leaving right now.

"Let's get on the road then" I smile. We get started on packing the car with everything we need. I then get the house locked up while Brittany gets the kids settled into the car.

"This little vacation is going to be so much fun" Brittany says to me before kissing me.

"It is" I smile. "We need to get through the journey first though so let's get into the car" I tell her.

"Ok" she nods before walking towards the car.

"Honey, what are you doing?" I ask Brittany as she opens the car door at the driver's side.

"I'm getting into the car, what does it look like" she replies with a laugh.

"I think it would be better if I drove" I tell her.

"I know where I'm going Santana plus this is my car we're travelling in" she points out.

"I know but I've been going to this cabin for years ever since I was little so I know the way quite well" I state. I might as well drive since I'm used to going there more than Brittany is.

"Fine" Brittany shrugs while getting out of the car and walking around to the other side. We get ourselves settled in and I drive us off. "You've missed the exit babe" Brittany tells me as we get into our long road trip.

"No, I didn't" I reply.

"Babe, yes you did" she assures me.

"I'm not going the way you think I'm going so I didn't miss the exit" I tell her with a smile.

"The other way is a lot longer" she replies.

"No, it's not" I shake my head.

"Fine, whatever" Brittany shrugs. "You are the driver so I suppose you do know best" she smiles.

"Exactly" I nod.

"You're so smug sometimes" Brittany says while laughing.

"I know I come across like that but I mostly say things or do things in a smug way because it makes you laugh" I tell her honestly. "I love making you laugh" I add.

"I love it too" she smiles. "Speaking of being happy, this vacation is going to be a lot of fun" she says. I know she keeps saying it but I think it's just because she's excited.

"It will be fun" I nod. "We should look up the area though and refresh our minds about what they have to do so the kids don't get bored" I point out. It will be good to find out the different activities we could do in the area so we can plan our days.

"I'll look it up just now on my phone" Brittany replies.

"Cool" I smile. After a few seconds, Brittany finds some stuff online.

"It says here that you can rent out boats and take trips along the lake" Brittany says while looking at her phone. "There are also some water sports but given it's winter just now, I don't know how much we'll be able to do" she points out.

"As long as the kids are entertained somehow then I don't mind what we…"

"Mommy, Ella kicked me" Aiden states, interrupting me.

"Ella, did you kick your big brother?" Brittany asks, turning around to look at the two of them at the very back of the car.

"No" Ella replies sadly.

"One of you aren't being truthful with mommy" Brittany says but neither of our children reply. "Do I need to come and sit in the back with you all?" she asks.

"Aid hit me" Ella replies.

"Come on, what's going on here. I don't want any lying, I want the truth" Brittany states unamused.

"Fine" Aiden sighs. "I hit Ella so she kicked me" he shrugs like it's no big deal.

"Why did you hit your sister?" I ask while looking at my kids in the rear-view mirror.

"Being loud mom" Aiden smiles at me.

"In what way was Ella being loud?" Brittany asks.

"Breathing" Aiden states.

"Aiden, you do not hit your sister because of how she was breathing. That's not nice" Brittany replies. "You're a big boy now and you're the oldest sibling so I don't want you picking on your sister because of the way she breathes."

"It's loud" Aiden complains.

"It's not that loud buddy so stop being silly" Brittany states. Ella's getting over a little cold so she does sound a little nasally at times.

"Fine" Aiden says with a huff before turning around to face the window where he starts rolling his car along the edge, playing with it.

"Are you starting to get a little less excited about this mini vacation now?" Brittany asks, looking at me.

"It's going to be ok" I say while reassuringly placing my hand on her knee. "We knew the car journey would be tough so let's not get downbeat about things right now. Once we get there, things should be better" I add.

"I just don't want 4 days of tantrums and fights with each other" she tells me.

"Me neither so we're not going to let it get to that stage" I say.

"Let's hope not" Brittany says.

XXX

We've finally just arrived at the cabin and I've parked up the car. It felt like one of the longest journeys I've ever been on. Aiden and Ella just wouldn't quit with winding each other up or arguing or fighting with one another. Then we had the numerous stops we had to make to feed and change Josh and Mia. I really love my kids but I am so not looking forward to the journey home in a few days.

"I'm not really sure what's happened but we're here a little later than I planned" I say. Ideally, I'd have liked to have been here an hour before now.

"I know what happened" Brittany says smirking at me.

"What?" I ask.

"You didn't listen to me when I told you to go a different way" she replies. "You don't want to admit you're wrong but you were baby" she adds.

"I wasn't wrong, I just…"

"Come on Santana, my route would have gotten us here before now" she tells me.

"Fine, maybe you are right" I say. "I suppose you being right every once in a while doesn't hurt" I smirk.

"I'm right and you're wrong more than you think babe. There are many occasions it happens but I don't point it out because I know you like to think you're in charge" she teases.

"Whatever you say" I laugh.

Once we get everything inside the cabin, we put the kids down for a nap and then Brittany and I start unpacking. I then take a drive to the nearest grocery store to get a few bits and pieces to make dinner while Brittany stays at the cabin with the kids. Once I get back, we get the kids awake from their nap and then all make dinner together. Obviously, Josh and Mia couldn't really help with that but Aiden and Ella did. We then all had a nice dinner together before spending some time as a family before the kids went to bed.

"It's a really beautiful view from here, isn't it?" Brittany says as I join her outside on the porch area. All the kids are asleep now so it's Brittana time now.

"Yeah, it is" I smile as I walk towards her and wrap my arms around her from behind. "Do you want some wine?" I ask as I place my chin on her shoulder and hold her tightly around the waist.

"We haven't really got any plans for tomorrow yet so I guess I could have a glass since we don't need to desperately drive anywhere tomorrow" she tells me.

"I'll be back in a second" I say while removing my arms from around her. I quickly go to the kitchen to pour us some wine before heading back outside.

"Thank you" Brittany says as she takes the glass of wine from me as I join her on the couch outside.

"I could just sit out here all night looking at this view" I say as I snuggle into Brittany as she puts her arm around me.

"It's not the view of the lake I like, it's the view next to me that I can't take my eyes off" she tells me.

"Huh?" I ask confused. I wouldn't say an old rustic cabin is that great of a view.

"You babe, I like looking at you" she says laughing.

"Oh, ok" I laugh.

"You're very beautiful and I just can't take my eyes off of you sometimes. I could just stare at you all night" she says while leaning down to kiss me.

"I would say the same about you but I know you won't believe me" I point out.

"I do appreciate when you say things like that to me but at the end of the day, you are the better looking one in this relationship" she shrugs.

"Honey…" I say while sitting up slightly so I can look at her. "We don't look alike but it doesn't mean we aren't both good looking women. I'm really not lying when I say that" I tell her as I lean over to kiss her.

"Ok" she nods.

"You have to believe me" I tell her.

"I know and I said ok" she shrugs.

"You didn't say it in the tone of voice that assured me that you believed me. Remember I am always right so you have to believe what I'm saying" I smirk.

"Ok, ok" she says laughing. "I know you wouldn't lie to me. I just find it hard sometimes to take compliments and actually believe you when you're that hot. How can someone as hot as you think I'm hot. Do you know what I mean?"

"There isn't only one way to look attractive. Different people find different things attractive. I mean I like the way I look but I wouldn't be attracted to someone who looks like this if you see what I mean" I tell her. I'm confident in myself because I do think I look ok but I wouldn't want to date someone like this.

"What things do you find attractive?" she asks curiously.

"Blonde hair for sure and blue eyes" I smile. "Um…someone who is tall, smart, funny, kind, caring, loving" I say listing off everything I love about Brittany.

"Gender?" she asks.

"I'm not hugely a fan of labels but yeah, they have to be a woman" I point out. "Oh, and they have to be able to dance" I say, thinking of another thing Britt is good at.

"Why is it that you always know the right things to say to make me feel better?" she asks with a smile as she rests her head on my shoulder.

"Because I know you so well and we're perfect for one another so I know exactly what you need" I smile back before kissing the top of her head.

"Yeah I guess we are kinda perfect together" she agrees. We sit in silence for a little while, just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere and being in each other's company.

"So, what do you want to do tomorrow Britt?" I ask, breaking the silence. "Britt?" I say again when she doesn't answer. I look forward and notice she has her eyes closed so she must have fallen asleep. I'm not surprised though with how much she was up last night. "Honey, let's go to bed" I say while gently shaking her awake. I hate waking her up but we can't sleep outside.

"Sorry, did I nod off" Brittany says tiredly as she rubs her eyes.

"Yeah but it's ok" I smile. "Let's just get locked up and get to bed" I say while picking up the wine glasses and heading inside.

"It's still really early though. I don't want to ruin our night" she says while following me inside and locking the door behind us.

"You're not ruining it" I assure her. "You didn't sleep much last night so you should go to bed early tonight" I say. Ideally, I'd have liked us to spend some more time together but she is really tired so I would rather Brittany got some sleep than spend the whole vacation feeling exhausted.

Saturday morning

As soon as I woke up this morning, I reached over to hug Brittany but only to be met with cold sheets and an empty bed. I'm a little confused right now because I don't know where she is likely to be. Don't get me wrong, she doesn't have to stay in bed with me but judging by the time on my phone then I don't know why she would want to get up right now. Unless there is something with the kids but surely she would wake me up if that was the case. Anyway, I am getting out of bed now and on my way to the living room to see if she's there. When I walk into the room, I notice a note on the table so I quickly read it.

Aiden and I have gone to get a newspaper

and some breakfast. We won't be long.

The other kids are still sleeping.

Britt xx

"Mom" I hear from behind me as I place the note back down on the table.

"Morning sweetheart" I say as I turn around and smile at Ella. "Did you sleep well?" I ask as I pick her up to hug her.

"Yes" Ella nods her head. "Aid?" she questions confused. It's only a small cabin so there are only two bedrooms so all the kids are sharing so it's no surprise she's noticed Aiden isn't here.

"He's with mommy right now but they won't be long" I tell her. I'm not actually sure why Aiden is the only child with Brittany but I'm guessing he was the only one awake or something.

"Ok" Ella nods.

"Why don't you and I go and find the twins" I suggest as I walk to the kids' bedroom with Ella in my arms.

"No cry last night" Ella tells me.

"Josh and Mia were very good last night, that's right" I say. Brittany and I were barely up at all last night with the twins so they're doing so well with their sleeping patterns.

As soon as we walk into the bedroom, I notice Mia lying awake and Josh is just wakening up. I give them a minute to fully awaken before I get them up and change their diapers. I then carry them through to the living room where I place them in their bouncers while I get their milk ready. Ella then helps me to feed her brother and sister. The four of us are just spending some time together when Aiden and Brittany get back.

"Mom!" Aiden screams excitedly as he runs towards me, pushing Ella out of the way, knocking her to the floor.

"Mommy" Ella says beginning to cry as she rubs her arm from where she's sitting on the floor.

"Sweetheart, are you ok?" Brittany asks while immediately picking Ella up and hugging her. "Apologise to your sister right now Aiden" she tells our son.

"Hi mom" Aiden beams at me as he hugs my leg, completely ignoring Brittany.

"Aiden, mommy asked you to apologise to your sister because what you did was not nice" I say while lifting him up.

"I wanted to see you" Aiden tells me as he gently strokes my cheek. It is really cute but at the same time, what he did wasn't nice to his sister.

"I understand that but you don't push Ella out of the way to get to me. You could have walked around her or asked her politely to step to the side" I point out.

"Ok" Aiden nods while wriggling about in my arms so I will put him back down on the floor. "Sorry Ells" he says while hugging his little sister tightly.

"Play tea party with me?" Ella asks Aiden hopefully.

"Ok" Aiden nods. He hates playing tea party so he must really be sorry if he's agreeing to it which is really cute.

"Why don't we have some breakfast first?" Brittany suggests.

"Good idea" I nod. "You four stay there and play nicely while mommy and I sort out breakfast in the kitchen" I say while grabbing Brittany's hand and pulling her to the kitchen.

"How are you this morning?" Brittany asks while kissing me quickly before beginning to sort out breakfast.

"I'm ok but I was confused about where you and Aiden were" I say as I get some dishes out of the cupboard to plate up breakfast.

"I woke up early to use the bathroom and as I was leaving, Aiden appeared out of nowhere" she says with a laugh. "I got quite a fright actually when I saw him just standing there at the bathroom door when I opened it."

"Was he ok?" I ask.

"He just said he couldn't sleep so I suggested we take a little walk and get some breakfast for everyone because I didn't want to wake up the other kids" she replies.

"Cool" I smile.

Once we all finish breakfast, Brittany and I get the kids organised for the day and then we all take a walk together. We found a park not too far into our walk so we stopped and let Aiden and Ella play. Josh and Mia didn't really leave their stroller though because there wasn't much for them to do at the park. We then picked up some food for lunch before heading back to the cabin to eat it. I'm taking everyone out for dinner tonight so we just wanted to relax for a little while back at the cabin.

All 6 of us are hanging out together in the living room now but I'm hoping it'll be nap time soon for the kids. Aiden and Ella are playing together on the floor with Aiden's cars and Brittany is entertaining Mia. I'm currently trying to look after Josh but it's proving too difficult.

"Mom, Josh screams" Aiden tells me with a loud sigh as he looks over at me.

"I know sweetheart but I can't do anything about it right now" I say as I try to calm down my youngest son.

"It's loud" Aiden huffs.

"I know that Aiden but he's clearly upset about something so once we figure out what it is then hopefully he won't be as loud" I tell him.

"Will I try?" Brittany asks.

"You might as well because nothing I do works" I sigh while passing Josh over to Brittany. "Do you think there's something wrong with him because none of the other children cried this much?" I ask. I don't mean to compare my children because they're all uniquely different and I love that but there is something odd about how much Josh cries.

"I think he's just a sensitive little boy, a little like you" Brittany smiles at me as she gently cradles Josh in her arms.

"You think I'm a sensitive little boy?" I ask amusingly.

"Sorry" Brittany laughs. "The sensitive part yes but the boy part, absolutely not" she adds.

"I didn't think I was that sensitive" I shrug. I guess I might take things to heart more than I need to but I wouldn't say I'm a particularly sensitive person.

After 10 or so minutes with Brittany, Josh finally settles down which I'm not surprised about. For some reason, Josh always wants to be with Brittany. It's not that he doesn't like the rest of us, he just always seems to gravitate towards Brittany. I don't take offence to it because I think it's really cute just how close he is to Brittany.

All the kids are in bed now so I'm just relaxing outside on the porch. After Brittany and I read to them and made sure they were all asleep, I headed outside to relax and Brittany went to get ready for bed. I love sitting out here and looking over at the view of the lake. It's so quiet and relaxing so it puts me in a good mood.

"Honey, can you come inside please" Brittany says from the doorway just behind me.

"Can't I sit out here a minute more because I really love the view and it's so peaceful out here" I say while looking over at the distance.

"I would rather you didn't. Plus, the view from inside should be a lot nicer" she says while walking over and standing in front of me. As soon as I notice what she's wearing, I quickly get up from my seat and walk over to her.

"You look sexy" I smirk at her. "Really sexy" I say as I wrap my arms around her and take in the view of my extremely hot wife right now in what appears to be new lingerie.

"The vacation wasn't just for the kids, it was for us too" she smiles. "All the kids are finally asleep and I'm well rested tonight so why don't we have some fun together?"

"That sounds like a really good idea" I smile.

"It does, doesn't it?" she smiles back while pushing me towards the couch. I sit down and she immediately straddles my lap.

"I'm winning so hard right now" I say as I place my hands on her hips. "How did I ever get so lucky for you to want to be with me?"

"You're a lot sexier than I am so right now I should be the one asking you that not the other way around" she tells me as she leans in to kiss me.

"So, is tonight to make up for valentine's day?" I ask.

"What was wrong with valentine's day?" Brittany asks me.

"Well, it wasn't exactly that special the other day" I point out. Valentines day was two days ago and let's just say it wasn't the best one we've had and that's saying something since I was sick last year.

"Honey, I can't help it if I need to stop right before sex when one of the kids are crying" she points out.

"I know that and that's not what I'm talking about" I say.

"Ok, so what are you talking about?" she asks me.

"For starters your valentines present to me was a kiss. I mean a freaking kiss babe. That is all you got me for valentine's day" I say. "No card, no chocolate, no flowers, just a kiss" I add.

"Yes, because we agreed on not doing valentines day since we wanted to put our money to other things" she says with a laugh. "We agreed not to waste money on it and put it to better use like going on this vacation etc."

"Yes, no gifts we agreed on but I didn't think flowers or even a card was out of the question" I shrug. I got Brittany a pretty cute card and I bought her chocolates.

"We agreed on no Valentine's Day as in nothing not just no expensive gifts" she tells me.

"I still expected a card from my wife" I state.

"I cannot win, can I?" Brittany says laughing. "When someone says no Valentine's Day then I assume they actually mean no Valentine's Day. I didn't think it was a trick."

"I wasn't tricking you but usually when we say that we do still get each other something so I thought this year was the same" I say.

"I love you and you know that so we don't need Valentine's Day to prove that. I can show you my love for you any day so I assumed we meant it this year when we agreed it can be a waste of money sometimes. I would much rather surprise you one time with a gift than have to do it every year on the 14th of February" she points out.

"Ok, fair enough" I nod.

"Wouldn't it be more romantic to come home from work one day after a stressful day and find a gift than to expect it on Valentine's Day?" she asks.

"I do like it when we're a bit more spontaneous" I nod. I do totally get what she's saying and I honestly don't care too much about the other night, I just wanted to tease her about it.

"A little bit like tonight, wouldn't you say?" she asks while grinding down on me slightly as she leans in to kiss me.

"Exactly" I smile. "Now let's get you inside" I say.

"Why so desperately?" she asks with a smirk.

"Because I don't want you to freeze to death like that" I reply.

"So, it's not because you want me so badly right now?" she asks.

"That too baby, yes" I smile. "Plus, I do not want the older couple from the cabin across the way to call the cops on us for public indecency" I point out.

"The only public indecency around here is the old man sunning himself in his tighty-whities" Brittany states.

"It really is an unpleasant sight" I laugh. Not much puts me off my morning coffee but that this morning certainly did. The man in the cabin across from us was outside this morning in nothing but his underpants.

"It really is" Brittany agrees.

"Anyway, let's get you inside" I say while taking Brittany's hand and leading her into the cabin. I close the door behind her and lock it before pulling her to the bedroom.

"Oh, straight to the bedroom. You obviously want this right now" Brittany says with a smirk.

"Why would I want to wait around when you look like that" I ask. "And more to the point, why would you want to wait around when you know how sexy I am?"

"Smugness doesn't always suit everyone honey" she teases.

"I know but you secretly love it when I'm smug" I smirk.

Brittany's POV

We're all sitting at lunch right now in a restaurant. We had a quiet morning together before taking a boat tour together so now we're sitting down to have something to eat. The kids were starting to complain on the tour that they were hungry so as soon as we got back to dry land, we found a nice restaurant. Once we ordered, Josh and Mia got their milk and now the rest of us are all eating. I'm however juggling eating and texting at the same time. Sometimes I text Santana and say cute things because we're always so busy with the kids that we don't get a lot of time together. There's something sweet about texting each other even if we happen to be in the same room.

To Santana: you look beautiful today

From Santana: thank you babe but I'm not as beautiful as you

To Santana: I love you so much

From Santana: I love you too

To Santana: maybe we should stop texting right now because it's probably rude to do it in front of the kids

From Santana: ok

"So, what are we all doing once we finish lunch?" I ask, looking at Santana and the kids.

"Park mommy" Aiden tells me.

"Oh, we're going to the park, are we?" I ask amusingly. "Have you decided that for everyone?"

"Yes mommy" Aiden smiles at me.

"The park does sound fun but after it we do need to go back to the cabin so you little ones can nap" Santana points out.

"Not me, I'm not little" Aiden assures Santana.

"Yes, you will be napping as well" Santana replies to Aiden.

"I don't want to" Aiden says while shaking his head.

"And I don't want attitude from a little boy but there you go, it happens" Santana says with a chuckle.

"Mommy, I don't need to nap?" Aiden asks looking at me.

"I'm with mom on this one. All 4 of you will be taking an afternoon nap at some point because you all woke up very early this morning so you'll be tired" I say to my son.

"Ok" Aiden nods before turning around to play with his car.

"The only children I've ever been around is our own or when my siblings were little and even then, I was little too so is this normal for a 4-year-old to be so huffy and giving out attitude like that?" Santana asks me.

"I think it must be because we didn't raise him like that" I say. Santana and I try our best to not do certain things in front of the kids so they don't pick up on it so whenever we have disagreements and things, we don't fight in front of them. If it's not just a part of a toddler growing up then I don't know where else he learned to be so huffy sometimes.

"Exactly" Santana nods in agreement.

"Mom" Aiden says as he climbs onto Santana and wraps his arms around her neck.

"Yes buddy" Santana smiles at him.

"Can I have this?" Aiden asks as he picks up a piece of cucumber from her plate.

"If you want it you can have it" Santana says, smiling at Aiden again.

"Thank you" Aiden says before getting off of Santana and sitting down next to her again. He then proceeds to flick the piece of cucumber across the table towards Ella who then flicks it back.

"Excuse me, I don't want you doing that" Santana tells Aiden.

"You said I could have it" Aiden shrugs while flicking the cucumber towards Ella again who then flicks it back to him.

"Yes, because I assumed you wanted to eat it. I didn't allow you to have it to play with because playing with food like that isn't very nice especially in a restaurant" Santana replies.

"You not eating it though" Aiden points out while shrugging again.

"As annoying as it is, he is kinda right" I say with a chuckle.

"Yeah" Santana sighs. "Hey I remember when Aiden was this little" she says while fondling looking at Josh in my arms. "Any chance we could back to that time and not have to deal with tantrums and flicking food right now?" she asks.

"Sorry honey" I shrug.

"It was worth a try I guess" she replies. "Anyway, I think we're about done here so shall we settle what we owe?" she asks.

"Yeah, so wallet out baby" I smirk at Santana.

"Why am I the one paying for lunch?" Santana asks me as she digs her wallet out.

"Because you love us and want to take care of us all of the time" I say with a smile. "Plus, you can see I'm busy with Josh right now so I'm not in a position to move" I add.

"Ok, no need to sell it to me. I'll pay" she says smiling back at me.

"Thank you, I love you baby" I say as she gets up to head over to pay for lunch.

"No, I love her more" Aiden tells me before going back to play with Ella.

"I love you too sweetheart" Santana says while kissing Aiden's head. "And I love all of you" she says while kissing the other three kids.

"Um…excuse me" I say while clearing my throat as Santana leaves the table.

"Yes, I love you too" Santana says while laughing.

"Good, I'm just making sure" I tell her. She then heads over to pay our meal before joining me at the table again. We then get all of the kids ready and head to the park.

XXX

After a fun afternoon at the park, we all headed back to the cabin and the kids took their naps. We then all spent some time as a family and played different things together before Josh and Mia went to bed. We let Aiden and Ella stay up a little longer since they're older before they had their baths and went to bed too. It's just Santana and I hanging out in the living room now.

"If this was your last night on earth, how would you be spending it?" Santana asks me.

"Probably having sex with you" I shrug.

"That's how you would want to spend it?" she asks amusingly.

"Yeah" I nod. "I would want to go out on a high so what better way to do that than to have the most amazing orgasm ever courtesy of you" I smile.

"That's kinda cute" she points out.

"What about you, how would you be spending it?" I ask curiously.

"Definitely with you and the kids" she replies. "I would probably end up spending it moping around as well because I would know it was the last time I would ever see you and I'd be pretty cut up about that because I never want to lose you."

"This conversation has taken a dark turn, let's not think about that anymore" I say. It would literally kill me if I ever lost Santana and the kids so I don't want to think about that.

"Yeah, let's change the subject" Santana nods. "So, in other news, you are looking pretty hot tonight if you don't mind me saying" she smiles at me.

"I don't mind that at all" I say while leaning forward to kiss her.

The vacation has been and gone now and we're all back home. Today is now my first day back at work after having Josh and Mia. I'm quite nervous because it's been at least 6 months since I was last there but I'm also a little excited to just get back to normal again. I love being off with the kids but it does get a little bit isolating sometimes and getting back to work and making some money certainly won't hurt either. Santana and I are doing ok in that respect but with 4 children now then I want to make sure we've got enough for when the kids grow up and go to college and things like that.

Santana and I have just arrived at the day-care with the kids now. We've just headed inside and now we're getting them all settled in and ready. We've spoken to the staff a lot so we're comfortable with them and I think today is going to go ok. Aiden and Ella have been going here for a while now and Josh and Mia have had some trial days and they seemed to be ok so I'm feeling good about today.

"Mommy and I need to go to work now so we'll see you all later when we pick you up" Santana says.

"Ok" Aiden shrugs before walking away.

"I guess he isn't going to miss us that much" I say while laughing.

"Exactly" Santana says, also laughing.

"No hug Aiden?" I ask as he walks away.

"I'm busy, maybe later" Aiden smiles at us while waving before going over to his little friend to play in the toy car with him.

"Can we get a hug from you sweetheart?" Santana asks Ella.

"Ok" Ella smiles at us before hugging us both.

"We'll see you later, ok?" I tell her.

"Ok, bye" Ella says while going off to find some of her friends.

"So, you'll call us if you need us for anything about Josh and Mia?" Santana asks Gillian.

"Santana, they're both going to be fine. You trust me with Aiden and Ella so why would Josh and Mia be any different" Gillian smiles.

"Aiden and Ella are strong little people but Josh and Mia have never been away from one of us for this long before. Either me or Brittany has always been with them" Santana points out.

"Everything is going to be ok" Gillian assures Santana.

"Plus, your office is a couple of minutes away babe so you're very close by" I point out. I'm a little apprehensive about leaving them too but Santana does panic more than me.

"I promise you, everything will be fine" Gillian smiles. "We're all professionals here so there's nothing to worry about plus you and I have been friends for years so you can count on me to take good care of them."

"I know I'm being silly and after a week or so I will relax but it's just so worrying the first day" Santana states.

"I know but we should just leave now before this gets any harder" I say while taking Santana's hand. "We'll see you later Gillian" I smile.

"See you later" Gillian says and then I lead Santana outside.

"Everything will be ok" I say as I pull Santana into a hug.

"I know. It's just getting over that first hurdle when everything is suddenly different" she says.

"I know but it really will be ok so let's think positive" I say and she nods.

"Ok let's get you back to work now" Santana says while holding out her hand to me. I grab it and then we head back to my car. Santana is driving me to work today and will pick me up when I finish but since we are also taking the kids to and from day-care then we need to use my car because Santana's isn't big enough for 6 people.

It really doesn't take us long to get to the hospital because I don't work too far away from the day-care or home either. Santana has just parked up now and we're saying our goodbyes before we need to get on with our day.

"I'll see you later when I pick you up" Santana says before leaning in to kiss me. "Have a good day" she tells me as we pull away.

"I'll try" I smile. "Anyway, thank you for driving me here" I say while opening the car door.

"It's no problem" she smiles back.

"You have a good day too and try not to worry too much because everything will be ok" I tell her.

"I know and now that we're not at the day-care anymore then my nerves have settled a little but I can't promise I won't worry a little bit since it is still the first day" she says.

"I know and I understand that" I smile. "Anyway, I better go, I don't want to be late on my first day back."

"Yeah I should get myself into gear too otherwise I'll be late to the office and Artie will kill me because I promised to be on time since we have some things to discuss this morning" she laughs.

"Bye honey" I say and then exit the car. I wave and then Santana drives off before I head inside to start my day.

Santana's POV

Brittany, the kids and me are meeting with my sister and Brittany's sister as well as each of their daughters for lunch. It's really just to hang out and catch up but no doubt we'll discuss their upcoming double wedding as well. We haven't really had a chance to talk to them about the wedding so I'd like to know what they've got planned so far and how it'll all work out when there are two couples getting married. I mean it seems like a nice idea to have a double wedding but I just know I couldn't do it. There is no way I would want to share my day with anyone but Brittany.

"Are you having a matron of honour?" I ask my sister curiously. She was my maid of honour so it would be kinda nice for me to do the same.

"Yeah, will you have one each or will all the bridesmaids be mixed" Brittany adds.

"I mean I am your sister Eva so rightfully I should be matron of honour" I point out.

"Yes, but I'm Emma's sister and I'm nicer to her than you are to your sister so perhaps I'm the best girl for the job" Brittany replies. "Also, my brother is getting married to your sister which means I have more connections in this wedding than you since I'm part of both parties" she adds.

"I'm the oldest here so rightfully it should be me" I state.

"You've already been a matron of honour before at Quinn's wedding so maybe it's time to give someone else a turn. Plus, my sister was my maid of honour so I would like to be the same at her wedding" Brittany points out. I suppose she hasn't even been a maid of honour before but that's not my fault.

"Yes, but my sister was mine at our wedding so I'd like to be the matron of honour at her wedding" I tell my wife.

"Ladies, come on. Let's not fight over something like this especially when it's Emma and I's weddings not yours" Eva states.

"Honey, come on. Surely, I should be your matron of honour because I'm your sister, you were mine and like I say I am the oldest" I reply.

"If you must know, we were going to have one each and the rest of our bridesmaids would be altogether because we do have the same close friends" Emma replies. It is kinda true because my friends are close friends of my sister now and the same goes with Brittany's friends and her sister. We all usually hang out together so it would make sense to share all the bridesmaids so to speak.

"So, who is your maid of honour then Emma or should I say matron of honour?" Brittany asks with a smirk.

"Yes Brittany, I would like you to be my matron of honour" Emma smiles at Brittany.

"Thank you thank you" Brittany says while rushing around the table to hug Emma.

"So, honey, I guess I'll be yours then" I say smugly while winking at my sister.

"Actually no" Eva states. "I was thinking about asking Quinn to be my matron of honour" she smiles.

"Quinn, what the fu…"

"Santana!" Brittany scolds me before I fully get the word out. I know I shouldn't swear in front of the kids but why the hell would my sister want Quinn and not me.

"Awkward" Emma mumbles to Brittany.

"No, the only thing awkward here is the way you eat" I say while glaring at Emma before turning to my sister.

"Don't take your frustrations out on my sister just because you don't like Eva's answer" Brittany tells me.

"It's ok for you because your sister wants you to be her matron of honour whereas mine doesn't. She wants some random friend to be hers" I sigh.

"Quinn is not just a random friend. She is married to my brother and we're quite good friends now just like we're all friends with everyone and are close" Eva states.

"This just isn't fair. I was damn sure I was the matron of honour here. I'm not really sure I want to attend anymore if I need to watch Quinn fulfil my job" I point out.

"That's a bit harsh honey. Eva has every right to ask whoever she wants to be her maid or matron of honour" Brittany says. "You can't not go to your sister's wedding just because of that" she tells me.

"It just sucks" I shrug.

"If it makes you feel any better then you can go as my date to the wedding if you don't want to be a bridesmaid" Brittany smirks at me.

"I would rather be a bridesmaid than a lousy date because I am family" I state.

"Honey you wouldn't be a lousy date, you would be my date and you love me right" Brittany says while kissing me.

"I still think I as your sister Eva should be matron of honour over Quinn because Quinn isn't even blood. She's just married to our brother, she's not technically blood related whereas I am" I tell my sister.

"Would you relax" Eva says while laughing. "Of course, I want you to be my matron of honour, how could I not want my sister?"

"I don't know" I shrug.

"It was all just a joke" Emma tells me. "I'm actually surprised you believed it all because I was struggling to keep a straight face. Watching you self-destruct is really quite funny."

"It was rather cute" Brittany points out.

"None of this was cute, it was just plain cruel and I don't know if I really want to be the matron of honour after such a cruel trick" I say in a huff. I really didn't care for that little trick at all.

"Ok, fine. I really will ask Quinn then or Brittany can just serve as matron of honour to both Emma and I" Eva states.

"Brittany can't do that" I blurt out.

"Excuse me?" Brittany asks me laughing.

"I love you babe but I don't want you to be my sister's matron of honour if I can't be" I say honestly.

"The thing is though, you can be, you just don't want to be so I would be more than happy to fill the role for the two of them" Brittany replies.

"It's ok, I will be Eva's matron of honour" I say.

"So, you do want to be after all then?" Eva asks.

"Yeah of course I do. Just don't play any more tricks on me like that because it's not funny" I reply.

"I'll make sure they won't" Brittany says before kissing me.

"Thank you" I smile at Brittany.

XXX

"Brittany, can you please stop looking at the TV" I say as I pull away from kissing her neck.

"I'm sorry but he's about to get the girl, it's so romantic" she says, talking about the movie we started earlier that quickly got forgotten about when Brittany started to get handsy with me. I wasn't going to ignore her so we started making out and then I started kissing her neck, only for her to suddenly look over at the TV again.

"I thought I was about to get my girl but clearly not" I sigh while leaning back against the couch in a huff.

"I'm sorry baby, I just happened to notice it was coming to an end so I wanted to see if the guy got his one true love" she points out.

"You got bored of it midway through so why are you suddenly interested again?" I ask confused. One minute we're watching the movie then the next she's getting bored then when we start kissing, she starts watching the movie again.

"I'm sorry. I really did just want to see if he got the girl" she apologises while leaning over to kiss me.

"I'm not in the mood anymore" I shrug while pulling away as she tries to kiss me again.

"Aren't you being a little childish here?" she asks. "It wasn't like I was pushing you away or something. I just happened to glance at the TV but it didn't mean I didn't like what you were doing."

"It's really off-putting when you're doing something like that and the other person starts watching the TV. It doesn't really make me feel good" I tell her.

"I'm sorry honey, I really didn't mean it" she says honestly.

"I know you probably don't want to hear about my ex but she used to do things like that. She would always half ass her way through sex and would constantly be distracted. It's not like I forced her into it because she would always assure me, she wanted it and then end up just faking it I guess" I say. I know we weren't like having sex right now but we were getting to it so it's really embarrassing.

"Honey, I would never do that to you" Brittany tells me while wrapping her arms around me.

"She did frequently tell me that I was no good in bed so that didn't help either so maybe it was that too" I say shrugging again.

"Santana, you must know I don't feel the same as her. I love you and everything we do together and how we do it" she smiles at me.

"I do trust you; I just don't feel good when things like that happen" I say.

"Come here" Brittany says while pulling me closer to her. "I'm sorry if I made you feel like that. It really was never my intention because I love you so much."

"It's my fault, I was just letting past insecurities get to me" I sigh. I know Brittany wouldn't do something like that but for a split second I was reminded of my previous marriage.

"It's not like you to get hung up on something like this. Has something happened recently to bring your ex to the forefront of your mind?" Brittany asks curiously.

"Well…I did run into her at the grocery store the other day" I say. That might be part of the reason because she ended up talking to me and it wasn't the most uplifting conversation we had.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Brittany asks.

"Because it's no big deal" I say. To be honest I didn't really want reminded of it so I just wanted to forget we ever spoke to one another.

"So, you just saw her in the distance or something. You didn't speak to her or anything like that?" she asks.

"I didn't want to speak to her" I state.

"That's not what I asked honey" Brittany says.

"She spoke to me and she kinda riled me up so I couldn't just ignore her, I had to bite back" I reply.

"What did you talk about?" she asks curiously.

"She said she heard I have 4 children now so she wondered if they were all Bethany's children. That got me pissed right away because she knows exactly what your name is" I say.

"She was just trying to wind you up" Brittany says.

"I know that and she succeeded" I say. "She also said our kids would grow up and look just as ugly as I do especially Aiden who is a little mini version of me already."

"She did what?" Brittany asks annoyed.

"It was just to wind me up" I point out.

"I'm not having that, not at all" Brittany states angrily while getting off the couch and heading for the door.

"Brittany, where are you going?" I ask frantically while scrambling off the couch to follow her.

"No one insults you or my children" she says angrily while grabbing my car keys. "Does she still live in the same house?" she asks as she marches towards the front door.

"Please don't go to her place" I say while pulling Brittany back.

"She can say what she wants about me but I won't tolerate her insulting my children or my wife like that. It's not ok Santana" she tells me.

"I know that but she has already wound me up this week because of it and I said my piece so let's leave it there. She is doing it to deliberately annoy us" I say. I really don't want Brittany going over there because I can't go with her since the kids are in bed. I don't want her confronting that bitch on her own.

"I won't stand for people calling my son ugly so I'm going over there" she tells me.

"She would be the one feeling great about this because we're letting it get to us so let's forget about it and she'll know we don't care anymore" I suggest.

"Aiden is my baby. I don't like that she called him names" Brittany says as a tear rolls down her cheek. "We've all been through our fair share of bullying and it breaks my heart to think someone is being cruel about my son like that."

"She said it to annoy me. I really don't think it was about Aiden" I say. It does take quite a hurtful person to say some of the things she did but I don't think she would go as far as to target a little boy like that. She said it to hurt me, not Aiden. "She's jealous that we have a beautiful family and she doesn't."

"I suppose I shouldn't go over there because it will show her I'm pissed which she'll be happy about but at the same time, I really want to slap her" Brittany sighs.

"Let's just try and forget about it" I say. I know it's not easy but she means nothing to me so I shouldn't let it bother me because I'm still happy I have a better family now.

"Ok" Brittany says, taking a deep breath to calm down.

"I'm thankful that girl wasn't my daughter because what an ugly little shit she was" I say.

"Santana!" Brittany says while laughing uncontrollably.

"Ok so I don't literally mean it but it did put a smile on your face" I tell Brittany. I shouldn't bring myself down to my exes' standards because I would never say that about a child but she did insult my kids so I'm not going to stand for that.

"I know you don't want me going over there tonight but if I ever bump into that bitch, I will say something" Brittany tells me.

"Ok" I nod.

00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Brittany and I have just finished our normal bedtime routine with the kids. They've all been bathed and are changed into their pyjamas so we've just finished reading to them and putting them to bed. Josh and Mia went to bed a little earlier as usual but now Aiden and Ella are asleep. I've currently just joined Brittany in the living room who is just finding something on the TV for us to watch.

"Can we talk for a second?" I ask as I sit down next to Brittany.

"It sounds serious so of course" Brittany smiles at me while turning around to give me her full attention.

"You know how your brother was messing around and saying he should have a vasectomy because he doesn't want another child" I say and she nods. "Well I was thinking maybe I should do something like that" I say. Scott said it to my sister the other day jokingly because I think he does want another child at some point in the future but it actually got me thinking.

"No, Santana. I don't want you to do that" Brittany says seriously.

"But it means you'll never get pregnant again" I explain. "Wouldn't it just be easier this way because we would know for sure you'd never get pregnant again because as we know, birth control isn't always as effective as you think."

"I still don't want you to do that" Brittany states.

"But why not?" I ask confused. It kinda makes sense because we're happy as we are with 4 wonderful children plus Brittany hasn't had very easy pregnancies so why risk that happening again.

"Not only don't I want you to go through with it because it's not necessary but I also don't want you to do it because I don't want us to rule anything out" she tells me.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"I don't want any more kids right now but I don't want us to completely lose the option" she states.

"So, you might want more kids?" I ask curiously.

"Pregnancy isn't easy but it's not something I want to completely rule out" she tells me. "It can be hard at times but it is honestly so worth it in the end when you have a little baby in your arms."

"So, if I got you pregnant again you wouldn't kill me?" I ask with a smile.

"I wouldn't" Brittany replies. "But please don't take this the wrong way but I really don't want that to happen right now. Let's be serious here, I really don't think more kids is appropriate right now."

"Ok" I nod.

"That doesn't mean that in the future I don't want that. I can't say right now if I will or if I won't in the future so that's why I don't want you to take such a drastic action. We've got more than enough going on right now but I can't say I don't ever want more children" she says.

"I totally get it" I smile. The whole thing is more than ok with me. I'm happy as we are right now and I'm also happy if we did want to have another baby some time in the future.

"So, we're ok then, you're not thinking about doing something like that anymore?" Brittany asks.

"In all honesty, I didn't really want that because who does want operations but I was willing to do it if you wanted me to" I say.

"Well I really don't" she smiles. "I would rather have 12 kids than see you do something like that because it's really not necessary so why put you through something like that" she points out.

"Just kiss me now please" I say as I lean over to her.

"You're so sexy when you're bossy" she smirks at me before leaning in to kiss me.

"And you're so sweet" I smile. It speaks volumes when Brittany would rather go through another 8 pregnancies than to see me go through an operation like that. Like I keep saying, her pregnancies were not easy for her so for her to rather have that is so amazing.
