Chapter 62: Bachelorette Party
Santana's POV
After having dinner together, all of us ladies decided to hit a few bars. Quinn isn't drinking at the moment since she's pregnant but she was more than happy to come along and hang out with us. Brittany and I are currently just waiting at the bar on the drinks for everyone when Emma and Eva walk over to us.
"Is your hand really grasping my sister's ass right now?" Eva asks Brittany while frowning in disgust.
"Uh…yeah" Brittany says unapologetically with a shrug.
"We really can't take you two anywhere" Emma shakes her head.
"We're not sorry about how in love we are with each other" I point out. "Plus, this is the first time in a while where we can act like a couple and not have to restrain ourselves because the children are close by" I add.
"We get that because we're all in relationships here but do you really need to be so obvious about your love for one another?" Eva asks.
"Yes" Brittany states proudly before pulling me into a passionate kiss.
"Mom isn't going to be happy with you Brittany" Emma tells her.
"Just because our mom is here and so is Eva's mom doesn't mean we can't all have a good time" Brittany points out. "You can't honestly think our parents weren't like us when they were younger plus our mom doesn't actually seem to care" she says while looking over at her mom who is laughing at something with the others.
"Most of us are all parents here Emma but it doesn't mean we can't have fun" I tell her. Brittany's mom and my mom are obviously older than us but I honestly don't think they care how we act right now.
"Fair point but squeezing each other's asses is a little far, no?" Eva asks.
"Nope" Brittany smirks before slapping me on the ass and then walking away.
"Oh, that's alright, we'll just get the drinks ourselves. We don't need your help anymore" I shout over to my wife as the bartender places our tray of drinks on the bar in front of us.
"I knew you could handle it" Brittany winks at me.
"Yeah-yeah" I say while laughing at her. Emma, Eva and I all head back over to the table while I carry the drinks for everyone. I sit the tray on the table and then hand out the drinks to everyone before sitting down next to Brittany.
"See, I knew you could handle it baby" Brittany smiles at me.
"Yeah but you're getting the next round of drinks" I tell her. It was such a fly move to come over and pretend she was helping me before suddenly leaving when someone else turned up to help.
"Ok" she smiles at me. "Hey, I'm just going to call my brother and check in on the kids before it's too late" she says while getting up from her seat.
"Ok honey" I nod. Brittany then goes outside and calls her brother. There's not a great signal in here hence the reason she wasn't doing it from the table. She's gone for about 5 minutes before she appears again and calls me over to her by the door. I make my way over to her and we both go outside.
"Ben said he would keep the kids tonight so we can stay out as late as we wish" Brittany tells me while putting the call on mute so we can talk without Ben hearing us who is still on the other end of the line.
"That's cool but where do the kids sleep?" I ask confused. Aiden and Ella will sleep anywhere but Mia and Josh need a proper kid's bed that they can't fall out of which Ben won't have in his apartment.
"It's ok because they're at my parents house right now so the kids are going to stay there" she replies. "My brother took them over there and my dad and some of the others were helping babysit. Once my mom goes home then my dad said Ben can head home and both my parents can look after the kids" she adds.
"Does this mean that we might have the house to ourselves when we get home?" I ask curiously.
"No 'might' about it baby, we'll definitely have the place to ourselves so I'm going to totally rock your world tonight" she smirks.
"Oh wow" I smile.
"Anyway, the reason I called you out here is so you can say goodnight to the children since we won't actually see them tonight anymore" Brittany replies.
"Oh right, good idea" I nod. I would really hate myself if I didn't get the chance to say goodnight to the kids so I'm glad Brittany got me to come over.
"Ok, I'll quickly speak to my brother first and then you can get on the phone with the kids" she says before taking the call off mute. "Ok, I'm back" she tells her brother. They talk for a few minutes before she puts the phone on speaker and Ben does the same so we can talk to the children.
"Hello!" Aiden screams into the phone to see if anyone is on the other line.
"We're here buddy and we can hear you" Brittany tells him while laughing. "Are you all having a good time with grandpa and uncle Ben?" she asks.
"Yes mommy" Ella replies. "Where mom?" she asks curiously.
"I'm here too sweetheart" I tell her. "Are Josh and Mia sitting with you both?" I ask.
"Josh dribbling" Aiden giggles.
"Everything is ok, Josh just got a little overexcited earlier and spilled some of his milk down himself" Ben assures us.
"Are you all being good for Uncle Ben?" Brittany asks.
"Uh-huh" Aiden states with a sigh. The fact he sighed makes me wonder if he really is being truthful with us. He has a habit of saying he's been good when that's not entirely the case.
"Uncle Ben always tells the truth so if you're not then we'll find out" Brittany tells him.
"He did take a small tantrum earlier because I put Ella's snack in front of her before I put his down but we've talked it over and it's all good now" Ben tells us.
"We don't want any more tantrums Aiden" I say seriously. Since he's the oldest he sometimes assumes everything should go to him first. In a lot of cases I guess that does apply but it is polite for his sister to be served her food before him every once in a while.
"Can I play now?" Aiden asks Ben, presumably getting bored of the mini lecture I was about to give to him.
"Not right now, your parents want to talk to you and say goodnight" I hear Ben reply to my son.
"Goodnight mom, goodnight mommy" Aiden says hurriedly. "Play now uncle Ben?" he asks.
"Goodnight sweetheart, have a nice time tonight" Brittany replies.
"Yeah, goodnight sweetheart. We love you" I tell Aiden.
"Love you mommy, mom. Goodbye" Aiden states before we hear a rustling through the phone and then the call is terminated.
"Did he just hang up on us?" I ask offended. I haven't even said goodnight to my three other children yet so I don't really appreciate Aiden hanging up the phone.
"I think he did" Brittany says laughing before calling Ben back.
"I'm sorry, I couldn't get a hold of the phone before Aiden hung up" Ben states. "Anyway, you're back on speaker now but Aiden has left the room" he says.
"Goodnight kids. We'll see the three of you tomorrow, ok?" I tell Ella, Mia and Josh.
"Night mom, night mommy" Ella replies.
"Goodnight sweetheart. We love you" Brittany says. "Goodnight Josh and Mia. We love you too" she adds.
"Josh and Mia are smiling into the phone but I think what they're really meaning to do is say goodnight" Ben tells us. They're too young to put sentences together so it's totally understandable why they don't reply.
"Anyway, have a good night Ben and we'll speak to you at some point. Call us if there are any more problems or Aiden takes another tantrum" Brittany says.
"Listen, don't worry about that. I've got everything under control here so have a great night. Tell everyone else I said hi" Ben replies.
"We will and thank you Ben for tonight" Brittany tells her brother.
"Yeah, thank you for looking after our little ones tonight. We really appreciate it" I say honestly. A lot of our family and friends that are out tonight have partners who can watch their kids but with Brittany and I both here then technically we don't have that same luxury so I'm grateful that Ben offered to have the children.
"I love having my nieces and nephews to hang out with so don't even mention it, it's cool" Ben tells us. "Anyway, have a good night and go enjoy yourself instead of talking to me."
"Ok, goodnight Ben" I say.
"Goodnight" Brittany replies and then she hangs up the phone. We then make our way back inside and head over to the table to join the others again.
"Should we be worried about the tantrums for Aid?" I ask in concern as Brittany and I sit back down.
"Absolutely not" Brittany shakes her head. "Little kids have them all the time and 90% of the time Aiden is as good as gold so don't stress about it. He's just a typical child like you and I were at his age. Hell, you still take tantrums" she teases.
"Ok" I laugh before kissing my wife.
"What were you two up to or do we not even want to know?" Tina asks with a smirk.
"We were on the phone to Brittany's brother saying goodnight to our children so mind out of the gutter Tina" I state. "Anyway though, how about some more drinks. It's Britt's round" I say. Brittany and I haven't finished our drinks yet but by the length of time we were on the phone, the others have already drunk all of theirs.
"Same again for everyone is it?" Brittany asks as she gets up from her seat.
"Yes please" Emma replies. The others all decide to have the same again as well so Brittany goes up to the bar and orders us some more drinks. I did ask her if she wanted some help but she said she would be fine.
"Hey, I thought we could have some shots" Brittany says as she sits back down while passing us all out a little shot glass each.
"Brittany I can't drink" Quinn states when Brittany puts one in front of her.
"It's just water in your glass babe" Brittany replies with a smile.
"Excuse me?" I say looking at Brittany.
"Sorry, it's just water in your glass Quinn" she says rephrasing her sentence. "I used to like to freak people out at bars when I was pregnant and pretend I was drinking alcohol when it was sparking water so I thought it would be funny if you did the same. You don't need to drink it though" she shrugs.
"Ok" Quinn smiles while taking the glass. "I'll count you guys in" she says before counting us in and then we all down our shot.
"So, 'babe'?" I question my wife.
"I took a cheeky little shot at the bar before I came over here so I think I'm just getting tipsy already" she shrugs. "I won't call anyone but you babe again" she smiles.
"Good" I smile.
"I'm going to use the bathroom; I won't be long" Brittany says while standing up and beginning to walk away.
"Excuse me" I say while pointing to my cheek.
"Sorry" Brittany smiles before walking back over to me and kissing my cheek. She then leaves again for the bathroom.
"You've got Brittany well and truly whipped there" Mercedes says while laughing.
"I like to keep her on her toes" I shrug. "I also like to make it a point that we're a couple when there are certain people staring at my wife" I point out. I'm not taking too kindly to the looks from a couple of guys at a few tables over so at least with Brittany kissing my cheek then they might get the hint she's unavailable.
"I would just try and ignore them because it's not like they've done anything but look at her. It would be different if they came over here to talk to her or even followed her to the bathroom to talk" Mercedes points out.
"Wait…you don't actually think they'll try to talk to her when I'm not there, do you?" I ask while standing up from my seat. They'll be dead men if they think they can chat up my wife.
"They're still in their seats so I think you're ok" Mercedes replies.
"Maybe I should go to the bathroom and make sure no one has followed her there to talk to her" I state.
"I think it'll be ok Santana" she tells me. "I didn't mean to say that for you to get all worked up. I was merely saying it so you knew not to get bothered by it too much because it could be worse" she adds.
"Ok" I nod while sitting back down.
"Look, here's Brittany coming now" Mercedes tells me. I look over and Brittany is indeed walking over to the table again.
"Hey" I smile at my wife.
"Hey" she smiles back before sitting down on my lap.
"Did anyone follow you to the bathroom and try to talk to you?" I ask her.
"Uh…what?" she asks with a chuckle.
"Never mind, it's fine" I wave it off. I probably am just getting worked up now about nothing. I just really hate it when people stare at other people thinking they're single.

The double bachelorette party is now in full swing. I mean I say party but it's more of a gathering really because we're all at one giant table drinking and having fun. We did think of hiring a venue for the party but that did seem much more expensive than what we really needed to have so we've just ended up heading to different bars. We're currently just sitting at a table and drinking together as we go around the table and ask each other questions. Quinn has just asked us all what our favourite word is and there has been some interesting replies so far.
"My favourite word is probably Santana" Brittany replies. "I can never get enough of my wife" she smiles.
"You do talk about her constantly even if the conversation has nothing to do with her" Emma says while rolling her eyes at her sister. "I mean just the other day I was talking to you about a dental appointment I had and the next thing I knew, you were talking about your wife and how much you love her. It is sweet at times but other times it's unnecessary and overpowering" she adds.
"I think it's really cute" I say while leaning up to kiss Brittany who is still sitting on my knee.
"I think it's cute too" Brittany smiles at me.
"Ok Santana, what is your favourite word?" Quinn asks me curiously.
"I would be inclined to say that 'fuck' is my favourite word" I say with a shrug.
"I actually disagree with that" Brittany states.
"No, I think I agree with Santana" Quinn replies. "She swears a lot and always has done. Although I will give her credit for not doing it in front of the kids because she can hold back when she needs to" she smiles at me.
"Fuck is probably Santana's second favourite word. Her first is most likely Brittany" Brittany replies. "Tidy the house Brittany, go to the store Brittany, pick up the kids Brittany, stop annoying me Brittany, take this seriously Brittany, did you hear what I just said Brittany, stop rolling around the floor Brittany, just kiss me Brittany…" she says mocking me. Everyone else seems to find it quite amusing even if I don't.
"I am not that demanding Brittany" I say while shaking my head. I do like a certain order around the house at times but I would say I mess around a lot more with the kids than Brittany does so what she said isn't true.
"Honey, you just said my name though" Brittany points out gleefully.
"Ok, fine. Maybe Brittany is the word I use all the time but it's not necessarily a favourite because I don't really do favourites" I state.
"Let's move on. Ok, so what is the one thing you would all never leave the house without?" Mercedes asks.
"Our kids" I reply laughing.
"That goes without saying" Mercedes playfully glares at me. "I meant like an actual item or something not a person" she states.
"I'd probably just say my phone" Emma shrugs.
"I'd say my phone too or maybe my purse because it has everything in it that I need like my keys or my wallet" Eva points out.
"I'm the same as Eva" Tina says, agreeing with my sister.
"What about you Santana?" Quinn asks me curiously.
"It would have to be my wedding ring" I reply. "People need to know I'm a taken woman who doesn't want to be hit on" I shrug.
"That's cute" Brittany smiles at me.
"It's true though" I shrug. "I need people to know that I'm yours and you don't share with anyone. Plus, I also need people to know that I don't want anyone but you babe" I say looking at Brittany.
"Come here" she smiles at me again while twisting my head slightly so she can kiss me. Just as she goes to pull away, I pull her back and keep kissing her.
"Ladies, that'll do" Rachel tells us. "We don't mind you kissing but you are in the company of others who are all hanging out together so it is rude."
"Ok, sorry" Brittany says while pulling away from me. I guess they do have a bit of a point because we're supposed to be here having fun and celebrating with Emma and Eva so I guess us kissing all the time is being rude.
As the night goes on, we found ourselves moving on from asking each other questions to playing some drinking games. We then all hit the dance floor and had fun together. Quinn doesn't dance for as long as the rest of us though because her pregnancy is taking a bit of a toll on her. I've just stumbled from the dance floor to the table to sit with Quinn for a while and keep her company.
"Isn't my wife just so sexy" I say while looking over at Brittany as she dances with some of the others.
"Yeah, so sexy" Quinn says while rolling her eyes at me.
"Excuse me, watch it Q. She is mine so I don't appreciate you saying my wife is sexy" I say annoyed.
"You just asked if…you know what, never mind" Quinn sighs.
"I think you've had enough to drink tonight, Santana" my mom tells me as I reach over to drink Brittany's glass of wine.
"Ok mommy" I laugh.
"I'm serious Santana" my mom says while taking the glass of wine from me.
"What's going on over here?" Brittany asks she and the others return to our table.
"My mom won't let me drink your glass of wine and Quinn thinks you're sexy" I state.
"I didn't quite say it like that" Quinn states. "She kept going on about how sexy you looked dancing so I said I agreed so she would stop and then she got defensive."
"She's just had a little too much to drink now" my mom states.
"That's not true" I shake my head.
"You are getting a little drunk babe" Brittany tells me while putting her arms around me.
"I'm fine" I say, waving it off.
"Honey, if I let go of you then you won't be able to stand up straight" Brittany points out as she clings onto my waist.
"Britt, I don't do anything straight. You should know that" I smirk.
"Ok, that's funny but seriously babe. I think you've had enough to drink" she states.
"Ok, I admit I am a little wasted but I'm having so much fun tonight" I smile. "Plus, like I say, you are so sexy babe" I say before putting my hands on Brittany's butt.
"Ok honey, let's not do that right now" Brittany says while moving my hands from her butt.
"Perhaps we should all call it a night" Emma states. "It's been really fun tonight but I think we are all getting a little drunk and tired. Plus, I wouldn't mind going home to my daughter because I have barely seen her all day" she adds.
"I agree" Eva nods. "I would like to see my daughter too so I'm good with us all heading home now."
"That's settled then, we'll all get some cabs and make our way home" Karen says.
"Britts and I aren't actually going home to our children tonight but that's ok because we'll spend the whole day tomorrow with them" I say. "Britts and I are actually going home for some alone adult time, aren't we honey" I smile at Brittany.
"Uh…" Brittany says embarrassed.
"Aw, look how embarrassed she is right now" I smile at Brittany again. "It's ok honey, everyone here knows we have sex so you don't need to be so embarrassed about me totally rocking your world tonight."
"Hey honey, do you remember me. I'm your mommy and I don't need to hear those kinds of details right now" my mom says laughing. We all then get our stuff and head outside to the waiting cabs.
"Santana, babe. Let's get you in this cab please" Brittany states while pulling on my arm.
"Honey, look at the cute doggies over there" I say while walking around the back of the cab.
"A- they aren't doggies, it's one cat and B- can we please get into this cab and go home now" Brittany states while once again pulling on my hand to bring me back around the cab to the opened door. "Please get inside and sit down" she tells me.
"Have fun tonight Brittany" Emma teases Brittany as she gets into the cab in front with some of the others. I'm not really sure what she's teasing her about but the tone of her voice makes me think she's teasing her sister.
"I don't understand what she is teasing you about" I tell Brittany.
"It's either one of two things. Either because she can see how much of a handful you are tonight since you're drunk or because you told everyone you were going to rock my world tonight" she replies.
"But baby, I am going to rock your world tonight" I say while getting into the cab. Just as I say it, the cab driver looks at me in shock before turning away nervously. Again, I have no idea what is with everyone tonight and why they are acting so weird. I mean Emma's teasing and now the cab drivers' nervousness at my statement to my wife.
Once we arrive home, Brittany pays for the cab and then helps me out of the car. I am quite unsteady on my feet so Brittany decided to carry me up the path towards the door. Once we get there, she rests me next to the wall while she digs out her keys from her purse.
"Have I ever told you before that you're so sexy. I mean your butt in that dress tonight is so sexy" I tell Brittany as I cling onto her as she unlocks the front door.
"You might have mentioned it before, yes" she smiles at me. "Anyway, let's get inside" she says while pulling me inside.
"Ok" I smile at my wife. We get inside and then Brittany locks up the house. She then gets us a bottle of water from the fridge each and then helps me up the stairs. When we get to our bedroom, she sits me on the bed and then starts to change her clothes into her pyjamas. I watch her for a moment as she changes because I mean who wouldn't before I sit back on the bed.
"You need to brush your teeth honey" Brittany tells me.
"I know, I'm just having a little rest right now because it's been a busy day and I'm exhausted" I tell her as I lie down on the bed, still fully clothed.
"Yes, consuming lots of alcohol and being carried upstairs by your wife really can take the energy out of you. I mean I'm as fresh as a daisy because I didn't need anyone to carry me upstairs" she laughs.
"See, you get it" I smile at her.
"I was being sarcastic babe because if anyone should be tired then it's me because I carried you from the cab to the front door and then up the stairs once we got inside" she replies.
"I know you carried me upstairs and I give you permission to do it any time you want" I smile again at her.
"I didn't necessarily want to do it baby, I had to do it. There is a difference" Brittany points out. "There is no way you would have managed to get up the stairs by yourself" she adds.
"You think that but it's not true" I say as I stumble towards the bathroom. "I could have walked up the stairs on my own but I decided to make you believe I couldn't so I could be in your arms for a little longer" I smirk as I begin brushing my teeth. It probably would have taken me some time to navigate the stairs on my own but I could have done it.
"I should have known" Brittany laughs. You have no idea how much I love it when I make Brittany laugh. I find it really cute because she totally gets my sense of humour.
"Aren't you going to brush your teeth?" I ask my wife.
"I will when you finish using my toothbrush" she points out.
"Oh shit, is this your one?" I say while quickly looking down. It turns out I am indeed brushing my teeth with the wrong toothbrush.
"It is but I'll get a new one tomorrow or something" she shrugs. I guess she isn't too bothered by it.
"There's no harm done really because we share a lot more intimate things than saliva" I state. "I mean I am about to make you cum like you've never before so no doubt that'll involve some serious tongue action" I smirk.
"Babe, just brush your teeth please" she smiles at me.
"Ok" I shrug.
"It's not hugely a problem sharing the same toothbrush once or twice but I will get us some new ones tomorrow because there's something weird about using the same brush. I know what you're saying though because I do have more than just food and drink in my mouth from time to time" she smirks at me.
Once we're both finished getting ready for bed, I eventually get changed with the help of Brittany. As much as I do feel so drunk right now, I am milking it for all it's worth. We then get into bed and Brittany kisses me goodnight before turning around.
"Come closer to me" I say while trying to pull Brittany as close as possible to me.
"Ok" she shrugs before scooting closer to me and putting her arms around me.
"I must be the luckiest person on this planet" I say honestly.
"Why do you think that?" Brittany asks me curiously.
"Because I have you" I shrug. "I'm not everyone's cup of tea because I'm quite an unpredictable person but somehow you love me for who I am. You're pretty perfect too so I'm surprised you like me" I shrug again.
"I don't understand why everyone wouldn't love you. You're the most amazing person on this planet so don't be surprised that you have me" she replies.

Sunday 20th June 2024
I have the worst hangover ever this morning. I woke up this morning to use the bathroom and I could barely get out of bed because my head was pounding. As soon as I did get up and use the bathroom, I knew there was no chance of me getting back to sleep with such a sore head. I decided to go downstairs and make some coffee. I'm just watching the coffee machine do its thing when I hear a slight movement behind me.
"Good morning" Brittany says while coming up behind me and wrapping her arms around me.
"Morning" I say while twisting my head round and glancing at her.
"What are you up to?" she asks me.
"Making us some coffee because I have one hell of a hangover this morning" I tell her as I turn fully around so we're face to face.
"I know a way to get rid of our hangovers" she says while kissing my neck. "I definitely think it will be much more comfortable upstairs as well" she adds as she starts kissing along my shoulder.
"Aren't you pissed at me about last night?" I ask confused.
"Why would I be pissed at you?" Brittany asks, equally confused. "Did I have too much drink that I can't remember you upsetting me or something?"
"No, I'm talking about me getting drunk last night. Aren't you mad at me for that?" I ask curiously.
"Am I missing something here because I really don't understand" Brittany admits. "Why would I be mad at you for getting drunk?" she asks.
"I gave you a pretty hard time the last time you really got drunk so you have every right to feel the same way about me today" I point out. I was way too harsh on Brittany the last time she had that much to drink so I don't blame her for feeling the same way about me after last night.
"I'm not mad at you" Brittany smiles at me. "As for the last time I got really drunk, you were right to be mad at me. I was stripping and dancing on tables. That's far worse than what you were up to last night" she tells me.
"I still feel bad though because you shouldn't have to force me into a cab or carry me upstairs" I say.
"Honestly Santana, stop worrying about it. It's not even a big deal" she smiles at me.
"Ok" I nod.
"Now, would you like to accompany me upstairs?" she asks with a smirk.
"I would love to" I say with a laugh. "Firstly though, let me get some coffee and take a few painkillers" I say.
"Ok but let me do it" Brittany tells me while leading me over to the table to sit before making us both some coffee. She then grabs me some painkillers for my head.
"You're the best" I smile at her as she sits down next to me. Even though it's somewhat a self-inflicted reason why I'm feeling awful, Britt still wants to look after me and take care of me.
"I know" she smiles back.

After spending some time with Britt this morning, we had some breakfast and got ready for the day. Even though I was still feeling like shit, I decided to do some household chores after that with Brittany because I didn't want to leave her to do them all herself. She wanted to make use of the free time without the kids and get caught up on day to day things.
The kids haven't long just arrived home so Brittany and I are spending time with them. I'm in the living room with Mia and Ella while Brittany is with the boys in another room. Ella is playing on the floor with some of her barbies right now as she dresses them all up in little outfits. I'm just entertaining Mia as she crawls across the couch and climbs over me.
"They going to fashion show" Ella tells me as she looks up at me and points to her barbies.
"They all look very fancy" I smile at my daughter. "Are Mia and I looking good enough for this fashion show?" I ask.
"Yes" Ella smiles at me.
"When does it take place?" I ask Ella.
"Now, mom" Ella replies.
"Ok" I nod. "Can Mia and I watch the show?" I ask.
"Yes" Ella nods. "I judge" she adds. She then walks her barbies along the coffee table which is acting as the stage for the contestants. She takes a few minutes before she announces the winner.
"Is she the number one barbie today?" I ask my daughter as she lifts the winning barbie in the air.
"Yes" Ella smiles at me.
"One?" Mia asks me while holding up one finger in the air.
"Yes, that's how many fingers you're holding up" I smile at my daughter. "Well done sweetheart" I tell her.
"I can do numbers" Ella tells me confidently.
"I know you can. You're very clever and so is Mia like I said and Aiden and Josh" I reply.
"I need to sing barbie girl before they go away" Ella says. She never lets her barbies go back in the toy box without a rendition of one of her favourite songs. "You and Mia sing too" she adds as she jumps up onto the couch next to me.
"I don't think Mia knows the lyrics so why don't we teach her them?" I suggest.
"Ok" Ella shrugs. We both then start teaching Mia how the song goes.
"Hey, what are you all up to?" Brittany asks me as she walks into the room with Aiden and Josh. She is carrying Josh and Aiden is running behind her.
"Ella and I are teaching Mia the lyrics to Barbie Girl" I tell Brittany.
"Awesome" she says sarcastically while smirking at me.
"Hey, just because you're not a huge fan of Barbie doesn't make it ok to make a fool of those of us who do like her" I point out.
"Mommy your hair like Barbie" Aiden states to Brittany while jumping up onto the couch next to me.
"Oh, yeah. That's right" I say while laughing at Brittany's unamused face.
"Is that why you married me because I have hair like Barbie and you have a crush on Barbie?" she asks me as she sits down with Josh on the couch next to us.
"I don't have a crush on Barbie" I shake my head. I liked the doll as a kid and my kids like them too so I can still tolerate Barbie but that's as far as it goes. "I kinda have a crush on you though" I smile.
"You don't need to have a crush on me, you've already got me" she smiles back before leaning over to kiss me. "Plus, isn't Barbie a little overrated now? I mean there is surely more popular dolls or toys out there nowadays" she adds.
"Mia, Ella and Aiden like Barbie" I shrug.
"What about you sweetheart, do you like Barbie?" Brittany asks Josh. He doesn't verbally respond, instead he shrugs before hugging his teddy bear and leaning his head on Brittany.
"Someone is tired I think" I say looking at Josh.
"I'm not tired" Aiden shrugs at me.
"I wasn't actually talking to you honey but that's good to know" I smile at Aiden. "I think it's naptime for you Josh and you too Mia" I point out.
"Not us, right?" Aiden asks me while pointing at Ella.
"You two don't need to nap right now but you will be taking an afternoon nap at some point" Brittany replies to our two oldest children.
Brittany's POV
I've had a hard day at work today so not only am I grateful that I'm finished now and it's the weekend but I'm also grateful that I'm off for the next two weeks. I've got the first few days to spend with Santana and the kids and then the wedding at the end of the week before we all have a little mini vacation together after it. I'm currently just on my way to my sister's house to drop a few things off for the wedding. Since I'm her matron of honour then she has all these weird tasks she wants me to do for her.
When I arrive at my sister's place, she answers the door before I even get a chance to knock on it. Brooke was sleeping so she didn't want me knocking on the door or ringing the bell in case I woke my niece up so she was waiting by the door for me. We head inside and go to the kitchen. She did offer me coffee but I declined because I don't really want to stay long because I want to get home to Santana and the kids.
"How are you feeling about next week?" I ask my sister.
"I'm having a lot of mixed emotions actually" she admits. "One minute I'm super excited and then the next I'm so scared. There are a lot of things that could go wrong with not only at the wedding but with marriage in general" she tells me.
"Everyone has nerves, don't worry about it" I say trying to reassure her. Getting married is a big deal so I would be surprised if she wasn't feeling lots of different emotions.
"Did it feel right to you when you married Santana?" she asks me curiously. I can't help but smile, just thinking about my wedding to Santana.
"So right" I nod. "Don't get me wrong, I was a nervous wreck at times in case something went wrong and it wasn't as perfect as I wanted it to be but it did feel right. I can be a very indecisive person sometimes but that was one thing I knew for sure that I wanted. I knew Santana was the one for me so I couldn't be surer about getting married to her" I say honestly.
"It does feel right to be getting married to Artie but I also feel really worried. What happens if things don't work out? I would never forgive myself if it ended up hurting Brooke" she says.
"You can't think like that Emma; you need to think positive" I tell her optimistically. "I mean, what if everything is fantastic and nothing goes wrong. You're going to have a pretty good life because you're married and you have children" I point out.
"I just have this bad feeling Brittany" she states.
"It's just nerves Emma, don't let it ruin things for you" I state.
"It's just really hard to keep positive about things when you hear about so many failed marriages and things like that" she says.

After a long conversation with my sister, I managed to leave and head home. I really didn't want to take so long at my sister's place. I just wanted to get home to my family but I just couldn't abruptly leave when she was feeling so worried about things. I think I might have managed to calm her down a bit but I suppose I won't know until nearer the wedding.
As soon as I go inside the house, I look around to see where everyone is. The whole house seems really quiet which I'm not really surprised about giving what time it is. I sneak into each of the kids' bedrooms and kiss them goodnight before heading to my bedroom to see if Santana is in there since she isn't in any other room I've looked in. My bedroom is empty and quiet but I do hear the showering running from the en suite bathroom so I'm assuming Santana's in there. I walk over to the bathroom and open the door.
"Man, what a day" I say with a sigh as I slump down onto the floor. I'm so exhausted right now.
"Brittany, I'm in the shower right now" Santana tells me unamused.
"Yeah, so?" I say frowning at her. Since when did we start getting offended with the other being in the bathroom when we shower? I mean fair enough when using the toilet but not when we're in the shower.
"It's just a little bit rude" she states.
"I've seen you in a lot worse positions than in the shower, honey" I shrug. "You're looking as sexy as always might I just add" I smile.
"Whatever" she says while rolling her eyes at me.
"Am I missing something here because I feel like you're getting pissed at me" I say. Honestly, I'm getting a little sick and tired of this kind of thing. We're supposed to talk to one another if we have a problem, not act all moody and closed off. If Santana has an issue with me, I'd rather she was just upfront about it and not skirt around the truth and give me attitude.
"I'm tired and I've had a long day so let's not go there right now" she says while turning around to face away from me.
"No" I state while getting off the floor and opening the shower door.
"Brittany, don't do that. You're getting water everywhere leaving the door open" she tells me.
"I don't care about that right now but if you're bothered then turn the water off and look at me" I state.
"I'm naked and in the shower right now. Let's not do this right here" she shakes her head at me. I'll admit it's not the best idea to talk right now but I'm not leaving it because if I do, Santana will get into bed and pretend she's fallen asleep before we talk.
"What is going on Santana?" I ask her.
"You said you'd be home hours ago" she sighs while turning the water off before stepping out of the shower. She grabs her towel and wraps it around herself.
"I know and I'm sorry" I say while wrapping my arms around her.
"Don't" she states and I just look at her as if to ask why she's pulling away from me. "I'm wet and I don't want to get your clothes wet" she shrugs.
"Yeah, like that's why you're pulling away from me" I say while rolling my eyes. I don't believe that at all because I know she is still pissed so that's why she doesn't want me near her.
"Finally, when I think we're getting somewhere; we end up hitting another hurdle" she tells me as she walks into the bedroom.
"What do you mean?" I ask confused as I follow her into the room.
"You were late again and I know it has nothing to do with the surprise for the wedding because I was on the phone with Artie about a work matter at the same time as my brother texted me. Those two are supposed to be involved with the surprise so you can't use that excuse for where you've been" she tells me.
"Did I mention anything about being late because of the surprise tonight?" I question.
"Not in so many words but the surprise seems to be the reason you are late all the time so I assumed. Please enlighten me though as to why you were late" she states.
"Do you not trust me anymore?" I ask sadly. It sounds to me like she still can't get over me working on this surprise for my family or even believes me.
"I thought I did because I believe the surprise about the wedding but I know for a fact that's not where you've been tonight so what do you expect me to think. I'm just wondering if you were actually working on the surprise last night" she admits.
"I was working on the surprise last night and that has been the reason for me not being here recently but tonight was different" I reply.
"Where have you been tonight then?" she asks.
"I was with my sister" I state.
"But you couldn't call or text me where you were?" she asks.
"My battery died on my phone" I say while glaring at her. It's not every night you expect your wife to not trust you so I am getting a little pissed.
"Ok" she nods while sitting down on the bed. The tone of her voice tells me that it's really not ok.
"I know I should have told you about the surprise way before I did because it has left you feeling upset and angry with me but you said you trusted me so why don't you?" I say. I think with the amount of time I left it before telling her about the surprise made things worse because it built up this insecurity in her and she became paranoid but I really thought she got over that.
"Something just doesn't feel right" she shrugs.
"All these times I have honestly been working on the surprise. Tonight, was just different" I say honestly. "I was only supposed to be dropping something off for Emma for the wedding and then coming home straight to you but she kept me talking. Then she got really emotional so I couldn't just leave. The reason I didn't use her phone to call you was because I didn't think it would be a big deal."
"What did she get emotional about?" Santana wonders.
"The wedding, marriage, Brooke, just everything really" I reply. "She loves Artie so much so she wants everything to be perfect next week but she's starting to get nervous."
"I'm sorry" Santana sighs. I guess she believes me now.
"I know it's my fault that I've made you like this but you have to believe me Santana. All I ever want is you so please believe me, please" I say while sitting next to her and taking her hands in mine.
"You haven't made me like this. It's my own fault" she sighs. "The comment Jen made about me being no angel really got to me because I want to be the best wife to you that I can be that I've ended up doubting myself about everything therefore making myself feel insecure all the time."
"I could show you how much I love you if you want" I say with a smirk as my hands gravitate towards the top of her towel where she folded it over to keep it in place.
"Easy" she smirks as she places her hand over mine to stop me from undoing her towel. "We need to finish talking first" she smiles.
"Really?" I groan. She's sitting in front of me in just a towel separating her body and me. I can't say that I really want to keep talking now that the mood has turned less tense.
"You sounded like you had a hard day when you got home" she says while placing her hand comfortingly on my knee.
"Oh right" I smile but don't say anything else.
"Why are you smiling like that?" she asks confused.
"You picked up on that" I say. Even when Santana is pissed at me, she can still tell how I'm feeling which I think is really sweet. She was mad at me but she knew when I walked into the bathroom tonight that I wanted to talk to her.
"I was a little pissed at you being late tonight but I could still see you had a tough day so I was going to talk to you about it once I finished in the shower" she replies.
"It was just quite emotionally exhausting talking to Emma tonight. I had a tough day at work and as much as I love my sister, I wasn't expecting such an intense conversation like that" I point out. She was so serious and so genuinely worried about the wedding so it was tough mentally for me to be there and try and make her see that things would be ok.
"I probably didn't help either with my weird behaviour when you got home" she states.
"Let's just forget about all of that right now because I'm home now and we have the next two weeks free of work. Also let's forget about it because you and I are alone now" I smile.
"Ok" Santana smiles back.
"Come on, let me show you how much I love you" I say while whipping the towel away from her.
"Britt!" she laughs in surprise.
"What?" I shrug while quickly undressing down to my underwear. "I can't wait any longer, it's getting too much for me" I say while straddling her lap.
"You've missed a couple of items of material" she tells me while trailing her hands up my back towards the clasp on my bra.
"I thought you might like to finish undressing me" I smirk.
"I would like that and there's nothing I want more than you right now" she smiles while ridding me of my bra.
Santana's POV
Sunday 7th July 2024
We're having one last fitting today for the wedding in just under a week to make sure everything fits properly. I don't think it should be a problem for many of us because it hasn't been that long since our last fitting. The only people that might need some adjustments are the kids and possibly Quinn since she's pregnant.
"I can't get over just how cute these little ones are" Megan, Brittany's sister in law, tells us as she sits with Mia on her knee.
"They're not so little anymore" Brittany says as she bounces Josh on her knee.
"They certainly aren't" I nod in agreement. "It feels like just yesterday they were little babies and now look at them, almost a year old" I add.
"Speaking of babies, when are you two having another one. I mean the twins are almost a year old so shouldn't you two have started trying for another baby by now?" Emma smirks at Brittany and I.
"How do you know we haven't?" I smirk back.
"Santana" Brittany frowns at me.
"For all they know, we might have" I shrug.
"We don't really need to talk about something like that right now. It's not really the right place for discussing something of that nature" she tells me.
"Ok" I shrug. It's literally so cute how embarrassed Brittany gets sometimes.
"To answer your question Emma, there are no immediate plans for another baby, no" Brittany replies, shaking her head. I mean I get where everyone is coming from because Ella was born before Aiden turned two and the twins were born a couple of months before Ella's second birthday so this would be the time to start trying if we're sticking to what usually happens.
"Ok, I think we should move on from baby making and move towards dress fittings" my sister tells us all. "This is our last chance to address any wardrobe issues so let's focus please" she says slightly panicked.
"Ok" I nod. We all then start getting the kids dressed first since we can do that at the one time and once that's done each of us can try our things on. "Um…Mia's dress is too small" I say nervously after dressing my youngest daughter. Emma and Eva are going to throw a fit right now, I can just feel it.
"Yeah, Josh isn't exactly fitting into his little outfit either" Brittany replies just as nervously as me. Babies grow at quite a rapid rate so I'm not surprised since the last fitting that some of the children have grew out of their outfits already.
"This cannot be happening to us right now" Emma says frantically.
"Our weddings are going to be a disaster. We wanted everything to be perfect" Eva states.
"Ladies, calm down" Brittany tells them. "Everything is going to work out ok because there is plenty of time to get the children's' outfits sorted before the wedding" she adds.
"It won't take any time at all to sort things so don't panic" my mom says optimistically.
"Yes, and if all else fails, Santana will give it a go to alter the outfits with a pair of scissors to loosen the stitches" Brittany jokes. Emma and Eva just look at her like they want to kill her.
"She's joking" I tell them.
"It's not funny" Emma glares at her sister.
"I thought it was amusing" I state. "Now, enough glaring at my wife and have some faith that the outfits will get altered in time."
"Sorry" Emma apologises to Brittany.
Once all the children have tried on their outfits, the rest of us all start trying ours on. Brittany and I are both getting changed into our matron of honour dresses just now. It's just the two of us so we're just helping each other put our dresses on.
"Guess what Mia said to me this morning" Brittany says unamused as I zip her dress up at the back.
"I don't know honey" I shrug. No offence but Mia could have said anything to her because she's becoming very verbal nowadays. It's actually just under a month until the twins will turn one year old so they're certainly learning new words and being awesome little people.
"She said 'no' to me for the first time this morning and then giggled. The giggling can only mean one thing" she states.
"Ok and what is that?" I ask confused. I'm not being funny but I don't see the big deal right now. All children say no especially my children.
"The giggling means that Aiden taught her how to say no" Brittany elaborates. "He's obviously taught her the word no and knows it'll annoy us when she says it" she says.
"What was she doing when she said no?" I ask.
"I asked her to come over to me and she said no before laughing and running away" she tells me.
"We can speak to Aiden about it then" I say. The last thing we need is Aiden teaching the others little ways to rebel against us. He's the oldest so they do all look up to him and want to do what he does so if he starts rebelling against us then the others would happily do it too.
"If you two are making out in there, I swear to god…" Emma says annoyed as she walks into the room.
"Would you relax, we were discussing our children" Brittany tells her sister.
"You two seem to be taking ages" Eva says as she joins us.
"We were just talking, calm down" I state. Maybe we did get a little behind since we were talking but honestly, it's not even that big of a deal.
